We received a friendly welcome from Ana and indeed all the the staff gave courteous and friendly service. We enjoyed our meals at the hotel and it proved a good base for walks. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would return.

"Dolly Hotel" (as the owners call it) is situated in a very tranquil spot with beautiful gardens. The building itself is ancient in parts and consequently the hotel is very quirky with rooms of varying sizes and locations. I understand that all rooms are decorated differently and are varying in size and amenity. We stayed in a Victorian double, Prysor, which was very spacious with a separate bathroom. The shower was over the bath but not fixed high so you had to sit in the bath to shower. As all the rooms are different, you would have to see which you preferred. The hotel is not near to any restaurants without taking a car/taxi, so we ate in the hotel. The set dinner was OK but my lamb was very fatty. Breakfast was very hearty and to a good standard. the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

We had dinner twice here while staying at the hotel. The food is very good, and the staff is great. But the place itself is worth visiting.

We ate at this both nights that we stayed and the food that we had was superb. I had pate and Chicken Cordon Bleu on the first night both of which were very good. My husband had scallops and then pasta with cockles for his main. The food was obviously freshly cooked and lovely. On the Saturday night he wanted the rack of lamb but they hadn't got any, which was a shame but there was plenty of other things to choose from. It was nice to know that you could have a meal on the premises and not have to drive home anywhere afterwards. The restaurant is very atmospheric being the oldest part of the house. However, in some ways, the breakfast room had such fantastic views that it might have been nice to eat in there on a beautiful summer's evening!

After an intimate wedding in Snowdonia we chose the Dolly Hotel to have our wedding breakfast. The manager went out of his way to make sure all our needs were catered for (greeting us on the drive, showing the best places to take photos and having a table with the best view). The food was tasty, the service was great, the portions were generous and the price was just right. Recommended!!!

They give you a very good amount of ice cream and addition addings aswell, however, the ice cream was pretty quick to melt even though it was a cold day that day 😅 but overall very delicious

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

Great fish & chips supper here this week! And, most importantly, friendly service with a smile! We'll be back!
