Sadly, this lovely little store and coffee shop has re-located to Glossop. I'm sure it will be missed.

I was in Castleton for the day & the owner sent me the menu in advance. I ate a green & grill which was freshly prepared and it was absolutely delicious. The brioche bun was fresh and umptious & the filling was superb. It came with a small side salad with the most glorious balsamic glaze. I shared a carrot cake & a flapjack which were both equally excellent & tasty. This little place is faultless & run by the nicest most helpful guy. It is only a small cafe with seating inside & a bench outside for 2-3 people. The small shop had a plentiful supply of vegan & plant based products. I bought some ground coffee which I’m sure will be good quality. The takeaway packaging & cutlery is all recyclable too. Keep doing what you’re doing! Hopefully I’ll be back soon.

So pleased to have found this wonderful eaterie in the heart of Castleton. On a very very busy Saturday I was treated with respect my order taken careful and the food was absolutely amazing. The salad accompanying the V-BLT and BBQ Steak Sandwich was so fresh and there was lots of it. We had the Carrot Cake and Dark Cherry and Marzipan Cake for pud absolutely delicious. Would recommend Plant and Planet to everyone visiting. Thank you.

Delicious food - we had the BBQ burger and chana sandwich and both were fab - good sized portions, salad / wedges on the side, and fresh and healthy, just what a long day walking needs!

We were so happy to find this little gem and it exceeded all expectations. We had the bbq seitan burger and tofu tower burger and they were both delicious. They were £8.50 each but they were huge with high quality ingredients and the price included a salad and wedges - I thought that was a very reasonable price! The sandwiches were £6 so also reasonable - not many pubs you could go in and pay any less than this. What I was particularly envious of was the refill service for vegan cleaning products - such a fantastic idea.

I found there was quite limited vegan/veggie options in most restaurants in Castleton so I’m so glad I found this place. It’s very tucked away and I only noticed it because it smelt so good walking past! Some of the best vegan food I’ve had, so tasty and you get plenty for your money. I will definitely be going back and would 100% recommend.

Lovely little shop and amazing to have a vegan place in Castleton! I had the seitan BBQ sandwich and I would highly recommend it. Although it was a little bit pricey, the fact that it was a vegan shop in a touristy village after the pandemic justified the price and I can’t wait to come back here to try the amazing looking cakes!

I was looking for a salad. I went into this shop and found a Greek salad. £4.95 and it was a joke. Mad price for the amount on the box. Half a tomato.two slices of cucumber. And the rest unbelievable. Absolute disgrace

A very small place tucked away next to the Post Office. Picked up a very simple homous wrap and baked tofu panini, both served with a salad. Very nice indeed with friendly service. A nice, healthy alternative to other offerings in Castleton and they also sell a small range of nice vegan products.

We walked into Castleton to grab some lunch and snacks ahead of walking Mam Tor and the surrounding hills. We came across plant and planet and were not disappointed. We had a different roll each (the deli and 'blt') which were made fresh and tasted amazing. We also had a Choc brownie and almond/dark cherry cake which were delicious. Couldn't recommend more! Neither of us are vegan / veggie but absolutely loved it.

Food was fine eventually. This was the problem. We got there just before one and started to eat at two. The waitress said it was because it was busy. In our line of sight there were no people and six or seven empty. She then said that the establishment states that the waiting time is 45 minutes. The roast dinner was lovely but all the food was not freshly cooked. Kitchens prepare veg and roast potatoes beforehand and the meat was so evenly cooked that I imagine it is bought pre-cooked and warmed up. There is nothing wrong with this and I would recommend the food but taking an hour to bring it before us and then arguing the toss about it is not the way to build a good reputation.

Good coffee, friendly staff, and actually in the station so handy for leaving it to the last minute to go for the train. I've not rated the food (so that's a "don't know" not a "horrible") as I only ever order tea or coffee, but the free bikkies are welcome
