PL4 in Plymouth

We went and visit Fabulous Burger Boyz last week prior to visiting the cinema (a little divert and out of the way) but Im glad we did. Don't listen to other reviews regarding the burgers not being fabulous, they were INCREDIBLE! I won't delve into too much detail and can only say go and experience them yourself. One thing i do recommend is the Pizza Fries! OMG, they were to die for. All in all a 'Fabulous' meal that didn't disappoint. Would recommend and will visit again.

We went to a party in the downstairs of pl4. It was great, prices were great considering the venue is basically in town. The dj was great, barman maybe could've been a bit friendlier but was a good night! Venue is very small though so bare in mind if booking

Went to try there burgers, After all they say it’s a fabulous burger. I would say far from fabulous the bun was not fresh. And the burger not good. If you want a good burger in Plymouth go to the Jury’s Inn. There was a Great Dane dog walking around the restaurant and behind the serving counter. This is not very hygienic.

This thread has become largely redundant. Someone, not me, has got this place delisted under its new name in this Plymouth Restaurants.

Freshly made succulent moist burgers!! Very reasonably priced too. Only slight downside is I don't like food on these wooden boards, just gets messy! But we will be back!!!

The management seem to cottoned on that this place sells good burgers and is well placed for the university, rather than just running and cafe bar nightspot that was not competing well enough with the numerous competitors round here. I still think that even the steady burger trade could be spruced up a bit especially in the way it lets down the veggie following.

PL4 has recently changed to The Fabulous Burger Brothers. For the meat eaters, the menu is simple but ingenious. Choose how much meat you want, your fillings and your sides. For veggies, there is the choice of a not very exciting looking veggie burger, nachos of breakfast. So I went for a mixture of sides. Whilst disappointed by the veggie options, the sides were awesome. Brie bites!!! Omg! Jalapeno poppers that are actually spicy! Lush chips. The meat eaters in the team left with painfully full bellies and symptoms of impeding cardiac arrest (which is apparently a sign of a good burger). The best part of the evening was the waiter. It was like we gained a new best friend!

With a few exceptions the quality and pricing of the FBB's burgers are great, almost unparalleled in the town. They seem singlehandedly to support a majority of the Deliveroo riders in Plymouth and from late afternoon until late evening you will routinely see a lot, sometimes a dozen sitting at the bench tables at the front of PL4. Very popular and value stomach stuffers for students and cost conscious folk generally. Personally not impressed by the manner of the PL4 bar and waiting staff or the non burger elements of their menu. Try the burgers and make your own mind up about the rest.

Great stop for a delicious lamb burger or a traditional breakfast that hits the spot. Excellent service every time from Rob and the owner. Can't walk past it without getting a coffee

Used the telephone take-away delivery service. I got the impression that nothing was too much trouble for them and delivery was completed in less than 30 minutes. The quality of the food was excellent and incredibly tasty. Some of the best value for money I have had for a very long time.

The owner and rob make the place feel really homely as soon as you step through the door. I'm not a meat fan but the flavours in the burgers here are amazing !!Lovely atmosphere, perfect for all types of people. Nothing is never too much trouble from the staff. Definitely be visiting again and again!!

Great place for a decent quality meal and best burgers in town! The ribs are tasty! And the big screens are awesome for the rugby!!

Popped down for a burger with my lady last night, and it was great fun! Best burgers in town for sure, amazing service and when Rob is working, you're sure you will have a great time!! Loved it and recommend to everyone! :)

Dropped in for a coffee during a shopping trip. Decided to have an early lunch and chose the breakfast. Ample portion size, great taste, quick and good service, friendly staff and all offered at a reasonable price. Planning to return again to sample their burgers. Highly recommended on all aspects and they have a delivery option as well for locals. Exceeded expectations.

Food is great , One should try a burger no Idea where they get them but OMG there lovely, Full range of Drinks From cold to hot just ask I am sure they have something you like .

Went for after work drinks and ended up staying for food too, the food was great value we ordered a pl4 sharing platter & it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly & I had a lovely atmosphere.

The fabulous fried chicken beats any chicken in Plymouth hands down. Made with the secret recipe which they will not let me know!!! All topped of in a brioche bun with a sweet chilli mayo and blue cheese, yum yum yum

We had lunch at PL4 today and it was superb. We had the Hungry Boy Double and the Foot Long Hot Dog with Beef Chilli (New, not even on the menu yet!!). Both were lovely, big portion sizes and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and keen to help. Highly recommended.

One of the few places you can get decent food late at night in Plymouth. Great for after the theatre or if you missed eating earlier. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, generous portions and quick service. What more can you ask?

Love this place. Great for popping in when in town for a coffee. We come here every other week for a few drinks and one of their awesome burgers.

Really good coffee. Burgers are a speciality here...and they do not disappoint. Homemade and delicious.

We only popped in for a cup of coffee today so can't rate the food although we did pick up the menu. Big mistake there. They were filthy on the outside but that was nothing compared to the inside. Full of dirt and stains. Glad I didn't eat any food as that would of put me off right away!

food was amazing. I had a burger and chips but the burger was a little special. can't beat handmade burgers.. great feel to the cafe. loved the tables and chairs looking for the same for my house now! top service. will go again for sure!

So I popped into PL4 for a bit to eat but it was far more of an experience than I ever imagined. I was greeted by Max a jolly pleasant young man with a lovely look on life. After being seated I was asked did I require a beverage. I choose a latte with was made to perfection and very promptly. As I was finished scrolling the menu I choose the PL4 burger! WOW!!!! This mouth watering tower of greatness blew my mind!. It had all the greatness in which I expect in a burger (handmade patty) may I add. I admit it's not for the faint hearted and there was tiny beads of sweat as I struggled to get through the tower of delight.

regularly visited the PL4 Bar so decided to give the cafe a try too. Really friendly and helpful staff, accommodating to all. Fantastic food with quick service too and all very reasonably priced. Will be back soon

Don't often write a review for anything but feel compelled to today , Finished work early today and thought I would treat myself to a beer and bite, visited PL4 for the first time, was given first class service and just had a burger with Gorgonzola and Bacon to absolutely die for, Love a burger and this one has just gone top of a list that spans 30+ years ..... Seasoned fresh local meat cooked to perfection, great bun and dressed really well ....Well done Pl4 great food and great attitude Go go go whenever you have the opportunity Awsome Cheers

I visit his establishment with friends on a regular basis. Staff always smiley and nothing is too much trouble. Food hot and fresh, chips are cooked to order. Highly recommended!

It's been temporarily closed for a few days, maybe to coincide with the quietest time of the university summer break. We came a few weeks ago. Limited food menu, burgers nachos etc. A bit above average prices locally. Nothing out of the ordinary. A lot of nightlife places locally now open during the day time to keep their kitchens ticking over. I'm not sure that we go for the feel of snacking in a two thirds empty bar in daylight. There are a couple of tables outside but you would have to sit just a few feet from the road railings and one of the busiest noisy traffic light junctions in the city centre.

I regularly attend this venue for coffee, lunch and even dinner. Perfect location, close to all the shops and shopping mall. The menu caters for everyone and has good variety and is all cooked fresh. (Highly recommend the chicken burger) staff are superb and quick to help. Free wifi, language ice cream as well as alcohol! Lovely decor as well. 10/10.

A great place for food and drink at all times of day!! Visitied with friends in june for a few drinks. Very friendly and helpful staff and fun atmosphere - 10 out of 10!

Visited quite a few times, food is always fresh and tasty - and at a reasonable price. All the staff I've experienced have been kind, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend as somewhere to take friends, have a date, or even take your mum when she comes to visit.

Great food and a great atmosphere, staff are friendly and helpful, and will always check if something is vegetarian or not if I need them to. Great place to do coursework over a coffee as well as grab a quick lunch between lectures - or somewhere to have a quiet night out with good friends. Everything is clean and toilet facilities are good.

I held a charity quiz here and they were incredibly accommodating with all of our requirements! Despite the large number of us, all food was ordered and delivered within the short break and everyone had a great night! Would certainly recommend.

As a frequent visitor to PL4 Cafe, making the most of both their day time and 24 hour services- I can safely say I've sampled most of the menu. The high standards they set themselves, never leave the customer disappointed. This place is simply a winner. From the cult burgers, with any combination of toppings you desire- to the very reasonably priced, extensive bar and food menus. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back!

The chips are incredible, as are the drinks they serve as well. The staff are friendly and welcoming as is the atmosphere, it's a good place to relax and eat food with friends.

I eat here often and have tried many things and been happy with all. From the breakfasts, to the burgers & even the desserts.
