Food nice and hot, coffee a little week. If i was really picky my toast wasn't toasted for long enough it was still white.

Awesome little café before taking the Cremyll ferry to Mount Edgcumb. The staff was friendly and the food was superb! I suggest the Farmhouse breakfast.

No staff . Waited over an hour for 3 small breakfasts . So disappointed when food arrived it was cold .

Convenient for the ferry. Great welcome and a splendid bacon butty. A enjoyed a dog treat. Clean, tidy and welcoming

Been using Elvira's for nearly thirty years. It's look and layout have changed over that time but the service, quality and value haven't. It is as good today as it has always been. If you are really hungry and in need of a monstrously big, full English, go here. You will not be disappointed.

Nice homely and clean place. The food was excellent, we tried 3 different meals and 3 different smoothies and they were all very good and tasty. Decent portions, apart from the rice that went with the stroganoff (which was way too small) and the prices, are very reasonable. The staff were friendly and informed. I recommend and would visit upon my return to Devon.

Affordable no frills cafe for a decent breakfast. Good decor and clean. Seats are a little uncomfortable, but they are basic. Coffee is also decent and well priced.

Lovely lovely place. Food is great quality for an amazing price. Huge fan of the breakfasts but the choices of other food is great too and just as tasty. Service is great and the staff are lovely. They tske cash and bank transfer/paypal, they do not have a card machine. There is a car park across rhe road, does tend to get full quickly

Quite a long wait, about twenty minutes, as they were so busy. Really good breakfast.

The breakfast was good, the staff were kind, avoid the milkshake at all costs. Milkshake let down the whole experience. Milkshake was £3.50 for a small-medium sized glass of luke warm ice cream-less sugary milk.

Enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast today, lovely little cafe on the edge of the water where you catch the Cremall ferry to Mount Edgcombe in Cornwall. Now back to the breakfast, yummy it was and washed down with a lovely hot Latte. £5 for the breakfast and £2.50 the Latte. Staff are friendly too. Clean toilets. One warning though,take cash preferred but PayPal or a bank transfer.

Another great eating diner. Great food and staff 👌. Right on the Cremyll ferry slipway. Has a few tables outside too. Dog friendly and clean and tidy. And menu is varied.

Quiet Monday lunchtime but free car park full and 20min max stay outside grocers but good snack lunches. First time we’ve noticed that plastic cards not acceptable for payment. Fun and games setting up the bank transfer. Never encountered that even when paying for horrifically expensive group meals in fancy restaurants.

Heard good things about this place and was not disappointed. We each ordered a Farmhouse breakfast and it was delicious. Well cooked and good sized. Nice tea and orange juices. Friendly staff and good service. We will be back.

Dog friendly, very reasonable priced and lovely food, good service

went in early for a breakfast before going on a long journey. Plenty of staff on at 8.15 girls who served me nice and friendly. Only criticism was bacon was so overcooked almost charcoal and so hard wasnt even edible. Shame as let it down and I am not a person who complains but did mention on leaving but think seeing it left on the plate said it all.

Always loved it here , never had bad food or a bad experience. Staff friendly food is great and prices are reasonable . Will always consider this our main place for a cooked breakfast in Plymouth.

Delicious English breakfast at decent prices

We were staying in the Royal William Yard and had breakfast here twice. The food is very good and I'd recommend anyone to go there for breakfast.

Marvelous breakfast at Elvira's on Saturday morning. No Rush.. Not too busy.. easy welcoming atmosphere. Parked in the nearby Cremyll Ferry free car-park. We spent the best part of 2 hours over our leisurely breakfasts.. with 4 adults and 2 children.. all well catered for. I had a "monster" some other had "half English" which in itself seemed plenty. The Children had breakfasts and milkshakes of some description one with loads of cream on top. All enjoyed and will be back at the end of March for another. TOP nosh.

Little café with a nice atmosphere. Annoying they don't accept card payments - only cash, PayPal and bank transfers. The food was OK and the service was very good.

Very weak coffee, cake was fine. Only takes cash, this is very inconvenient for a lot of people. Service was unfriendly. They seem to mainly cater for frequent customers and are not welcoming to people dropping in.

We and many people love it, dont forget to bring cash! They are old school like that, very busy at times, but its worth the wait, perfect English breakie to start your day 🤗🙏😅

Office brekky outing here and was very satisfied!... Nice and cozy space with great value for money. No card payments isn't as annoying as I thought it would be and the staff are top tier

Always try and get to Elvira's when we are in Plymouth. Best cooked breakfast by far!!! No frills, just fantastic home-cooking. And the takeaway cakes were fab too. We will be back.

We've been here a few times now and have to say the food is excellent and great value for money but what makes this special are the staff. They are helpful and friendly even though they're so busy. Great team, great place.

Good value cafe, serving fry ups and various other breakfasts, sandwiches and baguettes, and some other main meal dishes. The food was good, and they were able to accommodate adding stuff to my dish that wasn't on the menu. Would be good if they had some sound proofing because it's kind of loud in there when everyone is talking and the coffee machine is going. There is some parking outside but likely to be full at busy times, though you could park in the royal William yard and walk down

Best spot for breakfast! Can’t complain. Food is incredible. Staff can sometimes (not always) seem standoffish but the food more than makes up for it. Will be back… AGAIN!

Every time I come back home my Brother takes me here for breakfast, it is the best breakfast I've ever had apart from Mothers of course. Parking can be tricky but small issue when you consider what is waiting.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is of a good quality cooked fresh. Reasonable cost for what you buy. Can't fault it at all.

Great place the food was lovely.

Regularly have a full English here most Saturdays. The team are great and the food is spot on. More exotic offerings (avocado etc) also on offer, and a chum has had very good lunches there too. Great value and the food is always hot and quick. Can get busy quickly. Also offer take away baps and baguettes.

If you haven't been, then you should.

I agree with the previous complaint . No eye contact from any staff until your actually served . The only seem to make an effort to be friendly with locals . Cheap sausages and bacon 30% fat .

Always remember this place does not take cards…….. Other than that (a decision I fully support by the way) this is a superb, friendly cafe, with the best quality breakfasts/ fry ups you could want. Contrast what you get here with what you’d pay much more for having got the nearby ferry 😂

5 star service and tasty sausage bap! Not taking a card payment is not good though, for some people. Although PayPal and bank transfer are an available option.

un incontournable pour commencer une immersion en Angleterre : un peu éloigné du centre ville, là où vous croisez les locaux ( les travailleurs qui viennent prendre leur déjeuner en take away, les collégiens pour une boisson, un gâteau.. , des retraités et actifs qui s'arrêtent pour un petit déjeuner.. ) la meilleure adresse pour un super petit déjeuner. le choix est incroyable, les produits sont frais, les assiettes copieuses (je n'ajoute pas de photo, celles présentées sur les autres avis reflètent bien les menus)...un régal ! le personnel est très sympa. petit conseil : avoir du cash avec vous, pas de payement par carte.

I've been going here for years and when family visit they always asked to go here. However it ain't as good as it use to be and has gone downhill unfortunately

First class as always. Added black pudding and fried bread to my breakfast. Heaven! Staff were very pleasant and the place was clean and airy. The one thing I would change would be to get a quieter expresso machine.

Went on a lads morning bitching session , Great staff an a very well run kitchen . We had just about every variation of a breakfast you could imagine (5) of us , all manner of teas and coffee and all served with a smile . Best breakfast in Town . Well done to all the team ❤️

Atmosphere wasn't great, bit dull and boring inside. Bacon and brie panini was good. Coffee was good, burger wasn't good. The cash only / bank transfer payment method is a pain, it's 2021... Time to get a card machine.

Great little hidden Gem Food good price

This medium sized and popular cafe sits right next to the Cremyll ferry. It serves inexpensive , great-tasting English breakfasts and cracking filter coffee with friendly staff.. They sometimes offer gluten-free bread! Be aware they don't accept card payments yet, so you'll need cash or a Paypal account to pay for your meal.

Such a pretty place, amazing food and coffee, so many options. Loved the local feel and location. Staff was very attentive and nice. Thank you, it was great. Will be going back for a late lunch and breakfast to try more meals.

First class as usual. A couple of breakfasts with fried bread & black pudding. Baked potato with beef chilli. Coffee & tea. Everything was first class including the service. All at a reasonable price.
