Pizzeria Italia in Sefton

Staying in the Premier inn we decided to have our 53rd wedding anniversary dinner in Robertos, as we had eaten there before when food and service were excellent. This time the food again was very good and a credit to the kitchen staff but unfortunately ,everything was let down by the very young, although pleasant, untrained staff. . Waiter didn’t know what brandy was and the waitress forgot to put our coffee order through among other things including very loud music. We will not be returning and feel sorry for the kitchen staff who do a wonderful job. Failing to train staff competently is a poor use of resources.

Very nice place, clean , really nice food and very polite staff.Fairly priced. Would recommend to try if visiting or living in Southport.

Had a great meal here today 17/03/24 the restaurant is spotless, you can see 2 chefs cooking in a clean well maintained area. We shared a cheese garlic pizza, both had cannelloni & both had tiramasu, 1 pint peroni & 1 lage white wine total cost under £58. Could not fault anything the food was delicious. Staff were very nice, polite & professional. Would recommend a visit & we will return on our next visit to Southport.

My wife and I went here for an evening meal and it was great, a nice quiet candlelit dinner. I had the lasagne. The staff were really pleasant and it was good value too.

Visited on a Monday night. It was quite quiet but don’t let that put you off. Ordered a bottle of wine, garlic pizza bread and two pasta dishes (lasagna and chicken arrabiattq). It was absolutely excellent and far exceeded expectations. Came to a very reasonable £52. Staff attentive and quick. Highly recommended

Our first time visiting Robertos and it was fantastic. The place is cosy and yet well presented decor wise. The food was brilliant and tasty. The flavours and combinations were amazing and we all enjoyed the dishes we picked. Service was excellent and friendly. My family and I will definitely be returning and we have already recommended friends and family members to give Robertos a try as we know they will not be disappointed!

I went to Roberto's one afternoon after we had gone bowling. I was with two friends. Unfortunately I have Celiac disease and lactose intolerant. So I asked for a tea but could I have any other milk like oat or soya. To which the reply was no sorry you will have to have water which I had to pay 3.95 for. Then going through the menu I asked what I could eat in it to which no one was sure. I asked to the BBQ ribs starter who’s are normally GF to be told sorry there are no starters on the menu you can I ?? So I proceeded to ask what could I have and the reply was one pizza with prawns and the same for the pasta. I hate prawns so I needed up paying 16.95 for a salad and a glass of water. My friends who was with me did enjoy there but I had to sit and watch them eat and enjoy cups of tea. The waitress were lovely but I will never recommend the place or go again. My friend who did go once a week hasn’t been back either. I have sent a complaint in but the only response I’ve had is sorry the staff are ill and on holiday so we can’t ask them. This is from the 1st September.

Dined at Roberts’s tonight while staying at the Premier Inn opposite the restaurant. What an excellent experience from the greeting at the door, to the prompt and friendly service, to the excellent food, to the professional chefs. We used to dine at the old Roberto’s when it was on Lord Street but that was 20 years ago and it was a good choice tonight to have a bit of nostalgia. A very genuine place to eat could not recommend it enough.

If you're looking for good garlic bread here ask for garlic on your bread. It was very bland and disappointing. Lacked salt & butter. However, main courses of carbonara and cannelloni were very good value. Good portions. Attentive service too.

We went off the cuff for our tea on a Sunday around 6pm. We didn't get starters, just main and dessert. Mains, carbonara and spaghetti and meatballs. Carbonara was lovely, nice portion too. My dessert was fudge cake and ice-cream, warmed, cake was over done in microwave so all fudge melted away from cake, and cake ended up a bit dry, the ice-cream was cheap vanilla. My partner han meatballs which again was nice and good portion. His dessert was apple and blackberry crumble, came in a small pot, the apple was nice he said, but the crumble was anything but, I tried a bit and it was soggy and thick, looked like it was uncooked and soggy pastry almost, nothing crumbly about it, and I've made various crumbles and eaten a few over the years, this was the worst. We had 1 cold drink each. This came to around 50 pounds. The service was ok, one young male staff was so slow in his movements around , also no eye contact on serving our dessert, the other staff were ok so overall reasonable. Did not complain about desserts just left nearly all of them on the plate. I would go again for the pasta but no dessert .

Stayed at the Premier Inn over the road so booked Robertos simply due to it's location. Excellent choice. Food was hot and very tasty. Lots of choice, could have chosen lots off the menu. Good value, good service. Would recommend.

Really helpful and accommodating staff; we were a party of 13 and had been badly let down by another restaurant. Roberto's booked us in at very short notice and even served our own cake which had been prepared for my daughter's 50th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Despite the large party size, we weren't required to pre-order any dishes and the food was served promptly and was of good quality.

We have just visited Roberto's for our lunch after a walk with our dog. We had an excellent meal, my husband had Lasagne and I had the best Penne Arrabiata I have had. Tatiana cooked my meal. We have been going to Roberto's for many years, todays meal was the best. Thankyou to all the staff today
