Great food, excellent customer service, best place to grab evening pizza, vegan options available. This place has nice cozy seating inside and they have cute outdoor space. Best for students ( discount’s available 😉)

The food here was average, nothing outstanding about the pizza itself but the service was terrible, the guy that was serving was very stand off-ish and he wasn’t fair or consistent in his service. He allowed certain people to sit down with a box but told us if we wanted the pizza in a box then we couldn’t sit and eat bearing in mind we were there with a child. We asked why others were allowed and his answer was simply “I don’t control what they do”. We got the food anyway because there was no other choice nearby and we had a child with us but I regret we spent money on this place and will never go back and won’t recommend anyone to either.

I ordered from pizza 1889 for years but don’t think I’ll be doing it again anytime soon. I ordered via deliveroo and the order came wrong. I requested a refund in order to order my right pizza again and received £1 refund and that’s it. With kids at home hungry and being a long time customer I though I would ring pizza 1889 directly to try to resolve the issue. The person at the other size of the line was rude and condescending. I was told that they don’t have anything to do with it and it is deliveroo’s issue. Well I ordered a pizza from pizza 1889, it’s true that I did so via deliveroo app, which btw they have a big logo of it in their website, so how come they feel that a wrong delivery is not their issue. What was really shocking was the attitude of person that I spoke with. No sympathy or empathy. They even managed to say that it was impossible any mistake could happen on their side and it was deliveroo to blame. Again, hey I ordered a pizza from you and deliveroo is your delivery partner…

I placed an order via Deliveroo and attempted to call the restaurant to note an amendment I’d like made to it. I tried the restaurant’s line for 30 minutes straight and it kept going to voicemail. The pizza then arrives (not only without the amendment I wanted made) dry and sour tasting. Never again!

We visited to order two pizzas to takeaway. I listened carefully as my boyfriend ordered the pizza he was clear and concise. We witnessed a larger guy working behind the counter, alongside a girl in her twenties who seemed new to the job. It felt like he was trying to impress her more than focus on his job with the customers. We sat for ages waiting for our pizza and the whole time they were all just sitting around joking and acting as if they were in a social club. When the pizza was finally ready they handed us just 1 box. So I stood a little longer waiting because I assumed that my pizza wasn't boxed yet. But then realised they hadn't actually made my pizza. My boyfriend explained he also wanted a special number 3. So they took back his pizza too, which we assumed they were doing to keep it warm while they make the second pizza for us. But no, they only handed us one pizza box back again. Now I know there isn't a language barrier because I heard them all talk English pretty well. The issue again was that he wasn't listening or concentrating. In total we waited for 1 hour for our pizzas. The second time we didn't pay for one of the pizzas and rightly so. It was a long ordeal that could have been prevented if the staff were paying attention.

They have the potential to do some cracking pizzas. But 50% at least have not been good. Today it was really soggy. Most times the topping slips off the pizza. Other times they forgot the toppings. A shame!

I gave so many chances to Pizza1889 but I can’t no more. Last time I ordered drinks, they missed to add it into my order (delivered by Deliveroo). Today I received my pizza and they missed to add extra mozzarella, I ordered Grande 2 which supposed to come with basil leaves and buffalo mozzarella, have I look what I received... nothing similar to what I have paid for. Never again, the biggest disappointment

I came here already with my flatmate and today I m back with my boyfriend. I asked him to come and try the pizza here cuz it’s AMAZING and...my boyfriend did agree! I m from Naples and I can tell you that you definitely have to come and try it! Plus it’s very light and topping like cheese and vegetables are very very very tasty! Thumbs up for this place!

Pizza 1889 is no ordinary pizza place. This one we visited was next to Surrey Quays shopping Complex in Canada Waters, London. It’s a small place with few seating inside and some outside where you sit amidst the hustle bustle of shoppers. The pizzas served here are truely Italian in taste with thin and crusty base. Since they make everything fresh, the order takes a minimum 15-20 minutes. But what delicious pizzas they serve on a wooden plate with handles! Yummy! The prices are the usual - not cheap though. I saw there were far more people waiting for deliveries than eating there. I love dropping in for a bite here whenever on my shopping in the area.

The menu is not the most impressive, but there are some good choices. Staff was nice and friendly and we got our food quite fast. The only thing is that for the price that you pay you actually expect a large pizza...

I used to live in the area and loved this place: the staff were friendly and the pizza was nice, though slightly overpriced. Yesterday, however, I felt somewhat discriminated against. I ordered a pizza to eat in and a drink while waiting for my friends. I didn't get my drink when ordering so I assumed they would give it to me with my pizza but they didn't so I had to ask for it. So thumbs down for starters. Then to add insult to injury they served my pizza in a takeaway box. This contrasted starkly with the perfect service they gave my two white female friends who arrived shortly after me. I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt but when my Asian friend arrived and ordered, they got his order wrong and had to make it again. Let's bear in mind here that my Asian friend and I are born and bred Brits who speak perfect English - and we don't mumble. No apologies were made to me, so I don't think I'll be giving this place my custom any more. Seems all the new staff are just a bunch of incompetent fools.

My daughter and I came for lunch during February Half Term and had the most delicious lunch. We both had a Pizzeta and it was plentiful and arrived within moments. We absolutely loved it and will be back!

No problem. I won't be going back. Very rude customer service. All I asked was how long would garlic bread and mozzarella take. The reply I got was "10 15 maybe 20 minutes or do you wanna go somewhere else. At this point I left.

Tonight we wanted to taste the calzone, we ordered 4, they arrived hot, and I can say that they are delicious. Recommended for everyone.

Serves great Pizza. For the price the service can be a bit better! They refused to deliver the Pizza to our car parked infant of the store and had to keep checking if the order was ready. Conveniently located outside Tesco shopping centre at Surrey...

Stumbled on this place on our way to printworks. Rustled us up a pizza super quick, good quality and a good cheese pull.

Thanks a million to the kind staff who produced wonderful pizza and agreed to make a an extra delicious salad for us despite the fact that this was not on the menu. Very impressed as they were extremely busy and could have refused our request...

We tried their calzone and it was one of the best I have tasted so far. The pizzeria cafe/resto offered relaxation with cozy ambiance. The pizza dough was so right, i cant explain further. They sell pizza for 5£ for small and 10£ for grande....

Had it on our way to Tesco. They have small ones so we had one for us. So nice and tasty. Highly recommend it!
