Pizza Town in Colchester

Really should rename this take away to kebab house to reflect the kebab side as the pizza's are rough! Undercooked dough, salty cheese and cheap uncooked pepperoni. Gutted that the near by Iceland was closed as one of the £1 pizzas from there would have been more enjoyable.

Never been in a establishment that refuses cash cause 5 pound note had a tiny piece missing manager obviously has no concept on how to run a business lost mine and many more won’t be going back

Ordered at 7pm with an ETA for 8pm food turned up at 840pm after calling a couple of times. Food cold and inedible, tried calling over 20 times and line engaged with either them turning the phone off or lots of unhappy customers. Shame as we've enjoyed a few good takeaways but this was a waste of money and our last time 👎

I left a review on just eat which was not taken seriously and I had no right to reply, so I shall reply here. I stated that it was the worst Donna Kebab that I had ever had. The meat was definately NOT freshly cut. Swollen dark grey all over and tasteless with an accompliment of slime.The bread was stale. It is rare that I throw food away but this was inedible and had no choice. You lied by stating that all your Donna meat was freshly cut ,but this was clearly left soaking. You also stated that I waited 2 days to reply. I placed the order at 6pm, rang at 730 when just eat posted as delivered. You said that it would be out on the next delivery and I received at 830. I Left the review the next day. Obviously you wanted me to call rather than leaving a review of how poor your food and customer care is. Just under £25 to learn not to ever use you again. ORDER FROM HERE AT YOUR PERIL

Not used Pizza Town before, but so glad I chose them tonight! Fast delivery, very tasty food! Really can't fault it! Will order again when in the area!

I’m not sure if they make their own downer, but I’ve never tasted better. My favourite kebab was a mixed kebab of lamb shish and donner. The lamb shish was great too, however, the last two I hade, the lamb shish was very chewy and inedible. I’m not sure of they’ve changed suppliers, but I don’t order shish from there anymore.

Assuming this is the Tiptree one cos TripAdvisor wants to call it Colchester. Tiptree Pizza town used to be ok. Old fashioned basic pizza but nice. Been ordering from here for the last 15 years or so. Don't know what's happened lately - sloppy mush doesn't describe it! Thought maybe was because I'd chosen a different pizza and the mushrooms were the culprit so next time ordered my usual. Still sloppy.....horrible! And something about the cheese has changed. Now we get pizza from Tiptree BBQ house, delicious in comparison. It comes to something when the kebab house does a better pizza than the pizza shop. Can imagine you'll be losing a lot of regular customers if you don't improve.....

We held a birthday lunch at the weekend and had the pizzas delivered. I phoned the order through, paid over the phone and they delivered at the exact time that was estimated. The pizzas were hot, full of the type of ingredients ordered e.g. Vegetarian, pepperoni, peppers, cheese etc. I can honestly say that it was exceptional food at a reasonable price. Several people asked where the food had come from, and said that they were the best pizzas that they had ever had. We even ordered more for the evening. We will be having more in the near future!

Had food from here tonight, but it was rubbish. The food was cold bearing in mind we only live few minutes away. Burger was cold, cheese in it was a sauce which was disgusting not proper cheese, hardly any salad with it. Pizza was cold and onions not properly cooked on it. Had other food too which was not up to usual standard. Waste of money will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered from Pizza Town last night paid for my order via card. Was told 40 minutes wqaited for an hour then called them where is my dinner. Young girl said just leaving now. Food arrived delivery driver gave me my food then said you need to ring the shop. Why I asked as just spoke to them 5 minutes ago. He said something to do with my card. So called them young girl said hang on I will find out she came back said we wrote your number down wrong so could not call you can we have your card details again. I asked if that was why my food took so long to get to me she replied yes. I said that's why it is cold then. The reply yes and we will do it again for you. Didn't take 1 hour that time only about 20 minutes. This is not the first time our order has been messed up. Maybe they should join Just Eat then you can order the food on line. Then the young girls would not get it wrong all the time. Think the takeaway is getting worse so will find alternative as not worth the money or hassle.

Ordered some food and told it would be 45 minutes. Rang after an hour and was told the delivery had left 5 minutes ago. We are only 5 minutes away anyway but gave it another 10-15 minutes. We were then told the delivery boy had gone elsewhere and would we like them to 're-do the order'. Why would the order need to be redone?? There can be only one reason.

Absolutely disgusted with the service received. Phoned earlier in the evening to ask what time they closed and was told 9.30pm so called again at 8.50pm to be told they closed at 9pm. I told them when I called earlier I was told 9.30pm. I was then told they ran out of of pizzas. How pathetic, the person was also very rude. Well they have now lost a repeat customer.

Southern fried chicken burger, more like a value burger , not at that price though. Ordered half pounder cheeseburger, only got a quarter mins for them to be cooked. Much better service in the other takeaways in the area

Basic pizzas are really nice. However, if you order one with mutiple toppings, when you pick up the pizza they all fall off! The cheesy stuffed crust is never melted, just some cold grated cheese inside the dough. Other than these aspects, the service is amazing, delivery is always quick, as i said the basic pizzas are OK and the cheesy chips are to die for!

Good service on the phone and delivery. Really tasty, cheesy pizza. Very pleasantly surprised. Been craving another one ever since.

Explain to me the concept behind you serving me with raw dough. All you do is make pizza so I'd imagine you would know how to make it properly. Last night however you successfully managed to give me a pizza that had not been cooked properly. Obviously I won't return.

Having recently moved to tiptree and finding that dominos and Pizza Hut don't deliver we thought we would try the pizza here. OMG, I won't ever be going back to the others. Pizza was so cheesy, they put plenty of toppings on too & the stuffed crust was immense! Definitely gives the others a run for their money! Amazing pizza!

Used lots of times. Lovely fresh pizza. Lots of topping, not as cheap as a dominos but then more for your money. Amazing service and deliver locally. If they make a mistake with your order and you inform them, as I have had to do in the past, when I next ordered about a month later, they remembered and I got a discount. Brilliant service.

Had six Pizza's delivered by a friendly and efficient delivery boy. The food was absolutely superb. It had been a number of years since I last tried them, having moved away 10 years ago, but I am delighted to say that they are just as good as I remembered. Need to find a way to try again

No se puede creer lo bien la pizza es, me encanta pizzas y tienen mucho, pero no hay nada comparable a la pizza. Tengo un pepperoni finas pan. No sólo es la mejor pizza, aunque cuando se visita la gente siempre muy cortés y hablador y se sobresalen personas muy lindas. Cuando tengo las entregas son siempre a tiempo y la pizza es todavía caliente. 10 de 10 en ciudad de pizza

This is one of the best in tiptree the staff are brilliant and very helpful. And the food is brilliant!! Always turns up hot and fresh!! And the prices match up to the food quality!! There children's meals are well portioned and great value!!
