Pizza Town in Huntingdonshire

Oct 24 update:. Tried here again but again Very Disappointing pizza. Very expensive, and small. Cold and box all open and bent on delivery. Very expensive for what it is. I wouldn't bother . Won't be back This place has been here a very long time. It has had its ups and downs. I've had some very very nice pizzas from here in the past and some horrible ones. The people who run it are quite nice if you are buying alot of them then they are very friendly. They have also Been quite rude aswell, for example sometimes they have been late and they tell you promises like "your next order we will give you a free pizza" it has never happened... My recent order review : The delivery was fast enough and pizza tasted nice enough, they forgot to put cheese on our chips as asked and charged us for it. The pizzas seemed to have got smaller and prices gone up. It seems they are going down hill a bit..Overall An okay pizza which is better than places like dominos but it seems they are way to inconsistent. You don't know what you will get..Could it be nice or could it be horrible? A gamble ..

Went with my daughter and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pizza. The place is very friendly and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend , especially with children.

Poor quality toppings. Ham was a strange cubed variety, olives seemed to be from a jar and halved cherry tomatoes 🤷‍♂️ Paid extra for a couple of bits of pineapple and pepperoni you’d buy from a supermarket. Makes Dominoes look authentic.

Great service, very friendly delivery driver. One child said better than dominos! The other said too much cheese 😂 on the pizza. Would definitely order again.

Tasted great! hottish. only thing that could be improved was the cinching on the crust. was very hard and burnt. however the pizza itself was perfect. would buy from again and recommend to all!

Ordered a pizza for my girlfriend as I'm away and asked the restaurant to put a nice message in the box and they have just made our day putting "I love you" and she said the pizza is the best she's ever had from there now I'm jealous and want one when I'm back 5 star!

We have been getting pizza town pizzas for years, actually since 2004 and it has always been amazing. However since the original owners retired it has been hit and miss but the final straw for me has been the recent change to the menu. Where has everything gone?? There is now only a limited choice of pizzas and everything seems to have tandoori chicken on it. Now if I wanted an Indian I'd have an Indian. They call one pizza a Mexican Hot and even that has tandoori chicken on it. Hardly Mexican is it.

All types of pizza are SO good! We’ve tried deep pan, traditional and authentic Italian and they are all pretty amazing. Perfect chips and chicken strips, everything always hot and fresh and the driver is lovely too. Can’t fault it! Thanks :)

Both delivery drivers I’ve had so far have been pleasant and smiled, my fave so far is the cheesy chips, normally not keen on take away chips and rather do them myself but thought I’d chance it, they are not stingy with their cheese, decent portion! There pizza I absolutely love, I prefer their pizza to Pizza Hut, dominos and papa johns. My youngest is fussy with toppings usually and won’t eat it or pick the toppings off but she eats everything! Delivery been early or on time each time! 5 star*

Absolutely amazing customer service and extremely fast food preparation. I was served by Sophie who had a wonderful smile and personality. Complements to Chef Tom as the food was quite delectable. He had also been extremely friendly and was delightful to meet. Thank you for making our dinner experience so memorable and i look forward to my next visit!

I'm glad I tried this place again after not eating there for at least 7 or 8 years. The pizza was a nice change from the popular commercial places and very tasty. I only wish they had some deals to make a larger order a little more financially palatable. We've already ordered again since I've written this review and will do so again.

Food was great, piping hot and loads of chips. Service superb, ultra polite and early, can't fault it.

We were delivered the wrong pizzas and where to hungry to send back.

Placed an order at 18.00 told u to one hour for delivery we were staying at the Three horseshoes in Houghton which unfortunately was not serving food that evening. They recommended Pizza Town we tried to contact them numerous times as after 90 minutes it still had not arrived so we left and went to find somewhere to eat. Apparently it turned 100 minutes later shocking service and communication certainly will never use this restaurant again

Sooo very good. do yourself a service and get pizza from here. Excellent quality - tastes better than the ones in Italy - comparable to new York. 120% worth it

From phoning the order, being kept informed of the progress throughout and then receiving 10mins early. The meat feast was flavoured just right, the Pizza was just about right to eat right away . After eating it , it was very enjoyable and exactly as stated from the Pizza menu. Thank you Pizza Town St Ives.

The Deep-pan pizzas from Pizza Town St'Ives are the best in the County! The new owner politely asked for an honest review. I think the best praise is that we have ordered again tonight and we have told all our friends & family that the new owners make fabulous pizzas!

I had a bbq ranch pizza and it was delicious. My partner had a meaty bites pizza he said it was the best pizza he's had delivered to Over village! I'll definitely order again also the delivery guy was lovely.

Best pizza we've had in years. Furniture needs some love and waitress was run ragged with phone orders so service wasn't as attentive as it should have been. Disappointed that they have taken pasta off the menu and a salad bar would have been nice but I am guessing there's not enough sit-in customers to warrant it. Will definitely eat there again, or perhaps order for collection.

Few places know how to do a pizza right. This is one of those places. Great food everytime I've gone.

Pizza desperately needed seasoning. Very plain. A little garlic salt and basil would have made a big difference. Cut the olives too. I have never seen whole olives on the pizza before. I wouldn't recommend this pizza place.

Very tasty pizza and chips. Freshly cooked. Ordered online, had to wait beyond the collection time but didn't mind that with the quality of the food.

This really is a hidden gem - amazing authentic pizza, fantastic service and clean and pleasant facilities. Ignore the big pizza chains and order from Pizza Town, you won’t be disappointed

Pizza Town has now returned to its former glory 🤩 Flavour on top & crispy on the bottom 🍕 Don’t hesitate to get your order in for takeaway, I must add that the restaurant itself is extremely clean and most certainly looks like it’s worth dining in too 👨‍🍳 I wish the new team all the best on their venture it’s great to see them getting a town favourite back up and running in great form 👏

Had a great family birthday meal at Pizza Town this evening (early). The pizzas were fabulous, partnered with curly fries and garlic bread. Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant deserves to be much busier! Come on St Iver’s - support your local restaurants!

Fantastic pizza delivered pipping hot to our door in well under 50 minutes. Huge choice of toppings. The best takeaway pizza in town!

Wow it's knowherem near as good as it used to be. I ordered the hot stuff pizza and it was bland with no heat and the taste of the sauce was like they had layered it with passata. No flavour at all. The last time I ordered from here was just before we left St Ives back in 2020. The pizza was perfect back then. I have no idea why the new owners have changed the recipe. No longer rated the best in St Ives in my opinion. Won't be ordering from them again. Bring back the original owners.

We have very regularly enjoyed Pizza Town Pizza's rating them well above every other Pizza company in St Ives. However, we understand that management has changed. Our last order was incorrect, late and not up to the usual standard. Jalapeño chillies were totally heatless, the deep pan was in no way deep pan, the size of the medium was less than we have been used too, cans of drink, which we confirmed at the time of order, did not arrive and now they have cancelled potato wedges. It did taste ok, but just not the excellence we have experienced for so long. Very disappointed, we have given our loyalty to the brand for so long, we feel let down and doubt we will order again.

Pizza Town does the best by far pizza in the area. I usually get it delivered and it always hot and always delicious. Easy to order online and the drivers are always friendly. 100% recommend!

Half term and my girls requested a pizza… have been to Pizza Town a few times and tonight was no exception. Ordered online without any issues and was delivered on time piping hot… pizza was delicious and prices good.. Pizza Town will always be my go to place for pizza….

Always great pizza and a nice change from the churned out pizza of dominos. Recently changed hands and still the same great pizza. Huge appreciation to the new owner, where the delivery was a little delayed, for extra mile taken to make a mends.

We chose Pizza Town for a takeaway whilst holidaying in the area . The wifi where we were staying dropped whilst paying for our online order. When it came back online, I finished the payment but the screen said my order had failed. I then received notifications from my card provider that payments had been charged to my account and on logging into my account to check, I could see TWO charges pending. We called the restaurant and we’re quickly put through to the manager, who couldn’t have been more helpful. The team hadn’t received our order, so they took it straightaway. On collecting the order, we showed them the account screen showing the two pending transactions, and was given cash to cover the second charge, even though they still hadn’t received any notification of either charge. The pizzas were excellent, very tasty with generous toppings. We monitored my account over the next couple of days and the second transaction disappeared (no doubt corrected by the bank) so we took back the cash we’d been given. I am writing this review to recognise and thank the manager and their team for showing amazing customer focus in processing our order so quickly when called, and showing amazing trust in refunding a payment that they had not received. In returning that payment, we hope we have repaid their faith in us.

It's by far the best pizza place in St.Ives. friendly staff, lovely clean and welcoming place. Food was amazing. Sat down and was greeted and giving water and order taken. Food came quickly and is the best I've had in ages. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to go again

We have been getting takeaway pizzas from here for years. Today's was disappointing. The base wasn't quite cooked in the centre and the toppings were bland. Very different in taste and texture from previous pizzas

We would like to say a massive thank you to Pizza Town for the smooth ordering process on quite a large order and excellent service in arranging this order! Every single meal (18 orders) arrived early, labeled, super fresh and hot!!! Everybody raved about how tasty their meal was and have requested we order with you in the future! Good pizza with good variety of options to choose from. Ordered multiple times while we were staying in St Ives.

Ordered online and turned up a little early. Email notifications said pizzas were ready to pick up 22 minutes after I ordered which seemed good! Waited.......waited.....asked ten minutes after that and response was "they're in the oven now". Ok......seems a little misleading. Maybe they're really busy? I mean one of the "chefs" was scoffing their face with pizza and no masks were being worn in the kitchen with 4+ people less than 2 metres apart (review done June 2021) so how it can't be much longer right? Got pizzas 40 minutes after ordering, having to ask after them 3 times. Personally I felt forgotten about. So the service and response to being potentially forgotten about made me make this bad review as I wouldn't have mind being told it would take 40 minutes. Not "your pizza is ready for collection (actually it's not cooked yet)” which felt worse. Real shame as the pizza was very good. 🤷 EDIT: Since posting the review, the owner took the time to call and have a constructive conversation about what was said. I was surprised but I think it goes to show that he wanted to appologise and improve their service. I see this as a positive thing and I am grateful that he took the time to try and rectify any negative experience I may have recieved. A good will gesture was offered and I will hopefully take them up on it as I will say again, the pizza was really very good! Thank you Pizza Town.

Absolute worth the wait,not skimpy on the toppings. Best pizza in town by far.

Burger was delicious. "Italian" style pizza however was most disappointing!!! Once the chap realised they did actually sell the pizza I desired... He burnt it and it was just a poor excuse of a kebab shop type pizza! Which is what I was trying to avoid by visiting this establishment.

This is your typical takeaway pizza. Don't expect much as they use cheap ingredients. It took 1hr 45mins to arrive. Definitely won't be coming here again.

Ordered food for delivery and it was both quick and tasty- Very fresh ingredients! Great local food that is definitely some of the best in the area! Lovely chap who delivered food too! Would definitely recommend and will have again!

Best pizza around. I drove an hour to get one of their pizzas today and I would do it again. Nothing comes close to the quality and personal touch, true Italian pizza done the right way, so tasty. The staff are so polite and friendly genuine people too. Thank you.
