Golden Chippy in Huntingdonshire

Ordered and paid for large cod and chips and the cod was tiny when I said about it the person serving tried to tell me it was large but it definitely wasn't and then the chips were just bits with a few full ones thrown in and tasted of oil and going back to the cod there was hardly any taste to it so I won't be going back there again

Made it near closing time. The chips were firm and crisp. The fish battered perfectly, cooked through, and no soggy batter. Fish size was perfect for the price, too many chips for me, but I doubt for others. Excellent all-around, product, and service.

every time i visit Huntingdon, I go eat here. Food is always freshly cooked if you order fish or chicken. It's worth the wait, one of the best fish and chips I've tried, although my favourite dish is chicken strips, a unique recipe.

I had a small portion of fish and chips and it was amazing. The fish was nice and crispy on the outside and lovely and soft and tasty and juicy in the middle, The chips were nice and crispy Just so I like them 👍👍👍👍

Currently trying various fish and chip shops around Huntingdon since Barneys Plaice changed hands and went downhill. Golden Chippy was recommended to us. The fish was well cooked, and very tasty, though a little on the small side (we had regular size). There was quite a queue of people turned up while I was waiting, which is normally a good sign of quality. Overall the fish and chips were good, and at reasonable price. Only reason not rated 5 stars was the small size of the fish.

Tasty fish and chips, good polite service. Just the halloumi burger was cold, but other than that really tasty food.

Very late with preparing food, kept me waiting well past collection time, dropped the food on the floor and just plain bad service.

Great food, great prices what else would you want.

IMHO - The best in Huntingdon. Fish, tasted great with nice and crispy batter. Chips taste fantastic. My wife had the battered sausage - she loved it!

On our order we had a curry sauce and chips, which was £2.50. What we got was only worth 50p. Came in such a small container, it would of just fed my 20 month old. Went to collect at the time stated, yet still had to wait in a queue. Rather disappointed by these two things. The food did taste nice though.

This was first time of ordering via Justeat and I received my order from Golden Chippy one minute early, what a service, and the quality of the food and service remains first class!

Overall not bad. The chips could be a little softer, the fish was perfectly cooked, the curry sauce was a little too strong in flavour and spicy for a chip shop. But a nicely priced meal.

Oh my goodness finally!!!! Been craving a delicious chippy for months and everywhere has disappointed, some were inedible! Thank goodness we found this place! Chips were utter perfection, the popcorn chicken was just like KFC, my chicken burger was lovely and fresh and halloumi fries also yummy. The cheeseburgers were just ok so I'm told but the rest was so delicious we will definitely be ordering again. Very happy family here!

When i went there, ordering was really simple - not only were the staff polite they also smiled alot which made my day - but the food was amazing. The fish were crispy, the chips were actually golden and fluffy inside. Definitely reccomend for everyone to go there

Mis amigos y yo comer pescado y patatas fritas de este establecimiento sobre una base regular el pescado es siempre excelente, está recién preparado, nunca dejaron colgando alrededor a secarse.

Nice little place if your in the area and wanting to eat in a pub or returant. Lot's of shops, and things to. Buy your chips and it's a short walk to the park and river.

I use the Golden Chippy regularly and am always well pleased ....The food is great, well cooked and tasty.....staff are Brilliant always friendly and most helpfull... Could not find a better local chippy anywhere.....x
