Pizza Express in Huntingdonshire

Just returned from Pizza Express and I am certain I will not be visiting Pizza Express anymore. So while placing the order we ordered for 2 pizza and one portion dough ball . We realised we could go for 1 all day set menu to which we were told it can be done over the app . Set menu order needs to be done on the app we can't take it. we were also made aware that the set menu comes with a dessert and I replied saying I am always game for a dessert. Next I download the app, register myself and we were told while placing put table number 1 so when I did, there was already a bill with my original order (assuming the waitress had already put in for us). I did notice there wasn't any set menu so I tried to add ( the bill didn't change, so not sure whether it was added or not or was already added by the waitress) tried deleting the original it didn't get delete , in a nutshell the bill that was already inputted by the waitress didn't change. Going ahead I just paid it ( we weren't told do not pay) . Staff didn't help with placing order on the app nor were they present to assist. N e how I went ahead and paid the bill before the food even arrived. We finished our pizzas and I asked for my dessert to which I was told you didn't place order for it, and have already paid the bill so if you want dessert you will have to pay. The whole point of downloading the app and placing order on app was to go for 1 set menu and one more pizza and we end up paying slightly more and without the dessert inspite of downloading the appand placing order on it. The staff should have been more clear in giving us instruction about placing order on app, should have been there to assist us since it was our first time using the PE app and to top it up when they realised , I am sure earlier than us that this customer did download the app and was wanting to place order for a set menu should have immediately brought to our notice. Highly disappointed !!!

I ordered delivery for first time from Huntingdon, however I was unable to order for my allergies online so I called and spoke to Maria. She was awesome and guided me through ordering online and she would adapt the order as it came through for the chef. She even called me back to double check the order. Everything came as requested and was a good amount of food for the price. Will definitely order take out again. Thanks so much Maria for a great experience and being super helpful.

Good value for money and friendly staff with lots of vegan choices

Average place. Pizzas are mostly bread & the toppings seemed comparable to cheaper, delivery restaurants.

Appalling service: 20 mins before a drinks order was taken. Only appeared to be only 2 serving staff. Items requested multiple times. Honey Dough balls starter came 10 minutes after rest of starters but was provided frozen which we rejected but was returned with the half eaten frozen dough ball hidden under sauce... A polar opposite to our last experience... Wont waste my time again and will go to Cambridge where service and ambiance is much nicer

We had a lovely visit yesterday with the grandchildren. The staff are all excellent but they went out of their way when our 4 year old changed her mind just as the food arrived. A substitute was presented within minutes - service above and beyond!! Thank you so much

App easy to use for booking table and for great loyalty rewards. Food always great and service was so good last time thanks to Magda who took our order quickly and easily including our dips and everything correctly with no complications, was very friendly, attentive and ensured we were happy with our experience. Attended for a lunch. Haven’t been for awhile and would usually use Tesco vouchers, for the price the pizzas are really ridiculous. To have a pizza there and no matter what base you get you cannot cut with a knife and fork it’s like the dough is burnt on the edges crispy and under cooked elsewhere , and also when you attempt to pick it up a slice it flops over then all the topping slides off onto the plate and your clothes - load of rubbish. Rather a frozen pizza I can cook properly. Room is also V Loud. Small room no sound insulation so uncomfortable to sit and enjoy. Go elsewhere wouldn’t go unless a work event and no choice on location. The pizzas should be half the price and even then I wouldn’t go back.

We had a lovely time in the restaurant. Our waitress was lovely! Food came quickly despite the room being relatively busy and it was delicious.

Three of us had dinner at the PE in Huntingdon on a very busy Saturday evening As always, at this PE, the service was very good - friendly, welcoming and professional Our starters, a variety of dough balls, were all really good Our mains which were various pizzas and salads were excellent, cooked to perfection

We were a large group with several autistic kids and the staff were so helpful and patient. Food good too.

My 12 year old granddaughter and myself had dinner at Pizza Express in Huntingdon tonight and everything about our visit was great From receiving a nice welcome, to excellent service and really great food we couldn't have asked for more We had the doughballs, pizzas, and chocolate brownie. All were really good A special thank you to Magda who looked after us. The service was just right, she checked if we were happy with our various dishes, she made time for a quick chat and was also very helpful in assisting me with the PE app. All in all she did a brilliant job and is a credit to the restaurant

Only came in to have a drink but had some of the halloumi bites, they were GORGEOUS. Quick service, hot food, friendly staff, and a calm atmosphere. What more could you want?

Great little Pizza Express. Service was quick and staff were incredibly helpful and really paid attention to us. Missed out a star as the toilets are tiny and need a refresh. Standard Pizza Express problem.

Service was great, when we arrived was no one else in. I had the chance to hear the waitress conversation, I didn’t want to but they spoke to loud. Food is okay, some salt added to the food will be good. The lady who severed us very polite and knowledgeable.

Usual pizza express menu's, we took the grandchildren for a treat using Tesco clubcard vouchers. Unfortunately you can't have the deals with Tesco clubcard vouchers. Food was tasty and staff very friendly.

While I usually love Pizza Express. I am not gona order from Pizza Express Huntingdon Anymore. It is the 4th time the pizza I order with classic normal dough comes thin as a biscuit and fairly hard with little topping on top. While the price is above average.

Great food, always fresh and reasonably priced. A particular shout out to our server, Yasmin, who was friendly and super efficient.

I recently went for a meal here with my family and I have to say the food and customer service was excellent and spot on. I would highly recommend coming here as the atmosphere and environment is lovely. I found all the staff very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean indeed to the highest standard, especially in comparison to other places I have eaten. I will definitely be coming back here again without a doubt.

Lovely meal out. Good size pizzas, great choice of toppings. We went for the thinner base, and it was very very thin- still great though. Friendly staff and being a weekday was nice and quiet.

I love Pizza Express. The food is great from the pizza to the pasta. It is also consistent from place to place. I enjoyed a classic American pizza with pepperoni, red onions and mushrooms. My wife ate the pollo pesto. We both had the rucola salad and finished the meal with the best desert, bar none, called the billionaire's sundae. Salted caramel ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel and biscotti crumbles. This is a desert worth experiencing!

My wife, grand daughter and myself had dinner here yesterday. It was pretty busy, as it always is, but the service was excellent. All our food, doughballs, pizzas and cheesecake was really good, cooked perfectly and very tasty Big thanks to our server, Chloe, who did a fantastic job

Visited today and both had pizza which was hot tasty and delicious. Drinks service and cooking spot on. As for restaurant could do with walls painting and windows where really dirty. No air con it was hot. But food and service spot on.

Pizza Express from my experience is a very reliable and good premium brand. I stayed at Huntingdon for two nights and the town didn't have much in the way of restaurants as far as I could see. I didn't want to just 'take a chance'. I went to the Pizza Express and enjoyed it as I always do elsewhere. Decided to go again the following evening - after all the menu gives you plenty of options!

We usually go to St Neots - but we wanted to eat earlier than normal so booked Huntingdon. Somewhat noisier than usual - without the ambience. Staff a little less accommodating than St Neots. EG if you don’t want an ingredient on your pizza, St Neots always ask if you would like anything as a substitute. Pizzas weren’t as good as we are used to. Maybe the oven is old? Too much smell of burning. It’s a Sunday on a bank holiday weekend - why have they run out of desserts and other ingredients? Not sure I would go back to this restaurant.

Much improved over last visit. Good fried scampi to start and a very good calebrese pizza. Nicely hot and a lot of topping.4 adults with different mains and all enjoyed. Small beers rather pricey. Children enjoyed their meals. Good service from the staff and particularly the window seats are nice location. Overall total price rather high but can accept if enjoying the meals,

Restaurant well set up for Covid-19, with well spaced tables, and staff all wearing face coverings. Tried to get to grips with online menus and ordering, but my abilities and my phone battery let me down. Friendly efficient waitress happy to revert to taking our order in person, and her service and quality of starters and pizzas great. Peroni Special Reserve Beer very nice, but I think 6.6% so take care.

Had a wonderful time. The dough ball sharing starter was perfect for the 2 of us. My wife had a pizza and myself a pasta, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress was lovely and very friendly. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they had run out of a lot of the desserts, enough so that we decided not to have one. Will definitely come again.

Couldn't fault the service, really excellent from arrival to departure. Problem is that Pizza Express as a chain is slowly (and discreetly), pushing it's prices up to a level where they are, quite simply, not justified. Pizza Express is essentially a 'fast-food' chain and not the sort of place where you would, or indeed should, expect to have to pay well over £100 for a quick meal, irrespective of whether it's any good or not. At this rate they will soon be pricing themselves out of the market.

This was a repeat visit to a restaurant that offers excellent food and a wide range of drinks and beverages. I especially appreciate the fact that one can order a bespoke pizza made to individual specification. A no-fuss, thoroughly enjoyable experience

Visited last night for a family meal. We all had 3 courses and everything was absolutely spot on. From the moment that we walked in the staff were friendly and attentive. The place was nicely busy but we were still offered a choice of tables. Service was swift and there was a lovely atmosphere. The waitress replenished our water jug immediately without our need to ask - a very nice touch - and all the food was exactly right. Nothing to criticise at all - timing, friendliness, efficiency, quality of food all brilliant. Job well done. Thank you.

Pizza Express always deliver on taste. If you have allergies, you just feel normal here. Their gluten free base taste great and the vegan cheese is gooey and as cheesy as it gets. The staff are super smiley and helpful and go out of their way to make your visit a success. What's not to love? With the help of the meerkats, this is a very affordable treat.Go on, treat yourself, you will never be disappointed here!

Always reliable quality and a nice cosy restaurant if we were eating in. Despite being a takeout order the team were really friendly and helpful.

Has a good choice of pizza and pasta dishes and quality is good, but still think it is very overpriced for this type of restaurant. Haven't been in Pizza Express for a while and despite there being a board outside saying 2 or 3 course meals for a relatively low price, we were given no information on the offers and just given the standard menu. Drinks are always overpriced at Pizza Express but a bruschetta starter, lasagne main, meringue dessert and a drink each was just over £60. The price is far too much for this type of restaurant and food, so won't be visiting again in a hurry. Generally thought the service had detiorated since we last visited, I had eaten my main before the waitress asked if the food was ok!

We visited on a quiet weekday lunchtime. Service was good and waitress attentive and pleasant. Restaurant was clean and tidy. It is almost a year since we visited a Pizza Express and the menu was disappointing for items other than pizza. I am allergic to Chillies and my wife has intolerance of it . Therefore, once items containing chillies and peppers have been eliminated it doesn't leave a great deal of choice. But for this my rating would have been higher.

We stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed the pizza. One pizza was prosciutto, mushroom and black olives and the other was a traditional American pepperoni. The prosciutto was better than the American by far. It had a lot more flavor. The thin crust was very thin and crispy., perfect. We are here for a couple weeks and will definitely be back.

Came here for lunch today as I've had a busy week at work and I couldn't be bothered to cook! Good food and good service. My husband and myself both chose cannelloni.

Came here for a nice meal. Good warm welcome. Sat down and ordered shortly afterwards our 2 vegan pizzas. Team member advised they had no vegan cheese left. We were appalled and disappointed. If they run out of dairy cheese they would sort this one way or another urgently. But as it's vegan cheese they were not bothered and don't care about the 7% of us who can't eat 'normal' cheese. I applaud Pex for having some (small) vegan choices but what is the point if not available? This is not a one off either as has happened before and reading various vegan forums seems more common.

We had dinner here on the night of one of the England World Cup matches. We though it would be empty but actually there was quite a buzz about the place! As always with Pizza Express they have some good deals and we had their 2 and 3 course menu deals. There was a choice of about 3 or 4 dishes for each course. Our waiter seemed to be new and needed a bit of help with the menus, bill etc but was very friendly and we would return.

Good food, good atmosphere however the prices are very high. I personally need 2 pizzas to be full which costs roughly 30 pounds.

Had a three course meal with mozzarella and tomatoes for starter, pizza and tiramisu. Everything was good tasting and plus for proper espresso.

Being in Huntingdon I thought I would take a visit to town and came across this lovely and clean establishment.

Out of all the pizza express's we have tried around Cambs and London this is our favourite, staff are great and very helpful, food especially our pizzas are cooked perfectly. Always a pleasure dining here especially on a Sunday evening.

Very different. Now family orientated. Not much to differentiate it from all the other options on high street. No complaints food and service was fine.

We made a booking online last night for 10:30pm through their website and got our booking reference number via email. When we arrived to the restaurant at the time booked we found they had everything ready to close (chairs on tables, staff gone home, ...) and all one of the two people left in there told us is "Sorry but there´s nothing I can do about it". Not happy at all, If you want to close earlier, don´t take any bookings!

Our waitress Maria offered us the window table and quickly sorted us with drinks and pizzas. My gardiniera was excellent and my wife enjoyed her leggera. Crisp tasty and just as we like them. But then it came to trying to pay and every card machine in the restaurant was defective. Maria was incredibly patient but in the end the only solution was to pay with cash. Luckily I had just enough on me. So five stars for food and service and no stars for technology results in my three star score.

Not the best selection of eating venues in Huntingdon, so we settled here on a bank holiday Saturday. Pleasant staff, bottled beer and pizza. You know what you're getting, not fine dining, but it filled a hole.

Haven't been to Pizza Express in years but I really enjoyed this. Place was buzzing and both Pizza's were great, Polenta chips fab. However, the Lady that served us was really outstanding keen enthusiastic and great manner about her-delightful. Whole restaurant felt well run and efficient. Just shows what can be achieved in a moderately priced chain with the right people

MY hubby and I went for Saturday shopping lunch we went for calamari and bruchetta both were very tasty and we both went for the pizzas again very good and enjoyable, this place is great for lunch but I would not visit for an evening meal and because it is such a small restaurant it was so noisy and the tables are so close together not very private, the staff were okay not very engaging we had a voucher code which I showed on ordering and when the bill arrived the waitress forgot to discount it.

Called in for lunch and enjoyed the lunch time special. We assumed that for just £6.95 per person we would get mini portions or second rate pizza but that is not the case. You get to choose from two sections of the normal menu and a soft drink for the price. The pizzas were delicious, very tasty and filling. Our server was Marta and she was very good at her job, she looked after us and the other dozen or so customers with a smile and a chat for all whilst still bringing out the food and drinks at just the right pace. A brilliant place to go for lunch.

Last time I went to my local Pizza Express I reported that it had gone downhill. Well I am pleased to report that things are back in order. I think there has been a change of owner/manager. The place has been spruced up as well...

The restaurant was busy, but had good atomsphere. Although we had phoned through a booking, this had not been logged, but manager was able to accommodate us, so best to book online so you had proof of booking rather than phone. Food very good, loved the sharing antipasto to start with, followed by pollo pesto (chicken pasta) which was delicious.

The pizza and drink I ordered was served without a problem and tasted very good. My only issue is that with a £15 budget I could not eat without spending more at this restaurant.

Well If ever I feel like a pizza and a drink then the pizza express is by far the best place to go to. Not only is the food great, but the staff are friendly, plus being disabled there a special toilet there too, so you can't go wrong. The chef always makes sure that the food is piping hot and ready to eat. Superb!!

We ordered a pizza and fried potatoes. The service was fast and the environment good. Food was ordinary definitely had a better pizza before. Quiet expensive I would say for one pizza and 2 beers.

Visited with colleagues. We ordered main courses only. The pizzas arrived hot and fresh. Really impressed. Friendly staff. I could not fault this restaurant. I will be back for sure.

We have been to a few Pizza Express restaurants however our visit to their restaurant in Huntingdon proved to be the best of the bunch by far. The food was surprisingly good, staff were lovely, we would definitely return.Thanks to all the staff xxx

As with all Pizza Express the food is good and well priced. You cannot go wrong with a pizza from Pizza Express. The bruschetta is great and the pasta dishes are good. I would avoid the risotto when I ordered it, it was a bit dry.

We visited twice this week. We ordered 2 pizza classic "Fiorentina" and 1 "Diavolo" . Fiorentina taste good and filling hungry belly right away. Diavolo tastes good as well but i ordered by mistaken cos topping was pepperoni, which contains pork (I don't fancy pork ). So, i had to change with my family order. But he said, tasted so good. Staff were very helpful, patient and have genuine smile. Nice place to see crowd pass by. Will recommend to family and friends who by accident visit huntingdon, Cambs.

It's a Pizza Express so you will know what to expect. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Even with children in tow. We were well looked after and the food was great.
