PIzza Plus in West Devon

Had an amazing chicken kebab this evening. Cooked to perfection, swift delivery and piping hot on arrival. Staff were polite and efficient, I 100% recommend pizza plus! Thank you!

Ordered two large doner kebabs and large chips, very generous portions and lovely fresh salad in a seperate container. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. This is now our go to takeaway, very pleased.

Pizza plus is the best takeaway shop I’ve ever been to the staff are so nice and welcoming and the food is so brilliant that I am in awe and want it every single day, anyways I’m sorry for the ramble but lovely place xx

We had 5 of the 1/4 burger specials. I've eaten this in a few towns around the country and was very pleased to find kebab meat fresh and cooked perfectly not overcooked and dry. Burgers cooked perfectly not undercooked as is the case with so many. Chips were lovely too and prices were actually on par cheaper than the rest of the establishment in Okehampton. A1+++++

After 2 hours of waiting for the delivery, an hour of being told the driver has them for delivery, went down to the shop only to be told again that the driver is on the way and they were not prepared to help, I went to Waitrose. Order at your own risk!! After leaving this review, we were contacted by the business owner where he asked if he could make it right with us. On Friday 24th May we have tried them again and I have to say that the pizza arrived very quickly and was fantastic. Very much appreciated. Have changed the stars from 1 across the board to 5s.

This kebab for me was 1 of the best i have ever had that bread grilled and rubbed over the meat and juices with the mixed shish was all marinated and cooked to perfection wow just wow nom nom 😋 i enjoyed this so much i actually rang him up to tell him lol as im not from the area The staff were very friendly and 1 was a bit of a comedian . If in area again will defo be back 👍

Would highly recommend this place it is the best pizza place in okehampton not even for pizza for pretty much everything. Great food cooked to perfection never had any issues with the food also can pay by card right at the door. Delivery always on time also 👊

Pizza plus is by far the best pizza place in okehampton, there food is very tasty and NOT dripping in grease! Whenever I order online I'm not waiting around for ages as the delivery time is very good and the customer service is superb! Would definitely recommend this shop😁👌

I Recently come in with my family and order a 12inch Mexican and meat machine from the menu, all I can say is delicious, the dough was cooked to perfection and it had plenty of toppings one of the best pizza places I have been in for a long time, staff was very friendly and welcoming also kid friendly which is amazing, thumbs up for me i will definitely be back

Used to be a cracking little place this. Unfortunately seems to have gone down hill a bit. Never really had a complaint about the the food, as 90% of the time its been lovely, however, home delivery is an absolute nightmare these days. Two weeks or so ago we ordered food at 1715. After waiting an hour and 15mins, we called to find out what was going on. After listening to two of the employees arguing with each other, we were told it will be 5 minutes. Another 45 mins goes past, and finally we get our food. The excuse, only one delivery driver Fast forward to tonight, ordered some pizzas at 1730. At 1915 we called to find out what was going on, to which the lad on the phone said to us its 45 mins for home delivery, or 15 mins for a pick-up. I explained we ordered at 1730, so clearly been waiting much longer than the '45mins' to which he repeated himself again. I said to him have you actually cooked the order yet, to which he replied, no. I had to say forget it, as quite frankly its absolutely taking the p### that its the second time in two weeks they've forgot to cook it when we placed the order. Yet again was told only one driver. For New Years eve?? Absolute shambles. Unfortunately after spending lots of money in this establishment over the past few years, we definitely won't be using again.

Pizza Plus used to be the greatest pizza place in Okehampton and so my family and I would order from pizza plus for our weekly takeaway. But last time we ordered they attempted to gaslight my dad and called him a w*nker over the phone. My dad had called to order the family takeaway and they told him they weren't delivering that day and he would need to pick it up. So he agreed. Later they called us asking for our address. My dad gave it to them and asked if that meant they can deliver now. They said they always could and my dad pointed out what he was told earlier. They then despite the fact that my dad and two other people in my family heard them say that they couldn't deliver they attempted to gaslight my dad by telling him they never said such a thing. My dad attempted to explain these things don't matter we just need a fresh pizza but pizza plus employees couldn't accept that and some were calling him names in the background and one called him a w*nker so my dad hung up. Besides the terrible customer service, the past year their food has been going downhill. They have very little sense of quality control. Often you will get a burnt pizza or a pizza with almost 0 cheese on it and sometimes even one's with so much oil dripping it looks horrific. The only nice thing about pizza plus is usually the delivery drivers are friendly. It's a shame because they were the best. And now they've lost what was a regular customer 👋

Has pizza plus changed hands? Different staff? Usually so good but not tonight. when ordering & paying for large anything it’s usually bigger than a small portion. Pizza so thin and overcooked. Another place where prices going up but quality goes down.

It's quite good here probably better than the other pizza places in okehampton.

Apo is really passionate about providing the best pizzas in town and comes up with some great ideas. Quality and quantity as the pizzas are very generously topped and my kids go crazy on take away day. A really great, proper pizza place.

Absolutely lush food, we’ve had pizza’s, burgers and kebabs from these guys, and they are by a million miles the best takeaway in okehampton! Reasonably priced and very pleasant staff! Will continue to use these guys!

First visit here as we are having a weekend in Devon and we have got to say that they are the best kebabs we have ever had in any part of the country. Excellent idea to serve the salad in a separate tub instead of just piled on top of the meat making it go cold. I can eat a good portion but my wife was shocked when I left some as I was full!!

Class! The lads here do a great job of getting everything ready and out the door. Brilliant food and hot! Keep it ip lads!

Update: after some back and forth, I received an apology in person and full refund for the cost of the entire order, The initial handling wasn’t great, but credit where credit is due, in the end they were polite and apologetic and the situation was resolved. Have changed rating from two stars to three as a result based on this experience alone, though I will say, I’ve had no issues with pizza plus prior to this. We ordered several items at 6 o clock. Over 40 minutes later, it was delivered missing the largest, most expensive item. After calling to tell them, we waited a further 40 minutes. After calling again to explain we were still awaiting our delivery of the missing item and that at this point everything else was cold, was told, “yeah we’re really busy, sorry”. Ended up telling them to not bother delivering the rest as we’d had to make something else for dinner. We received no offer of refund or any kind of amends beyond “sorry about that.” Disappointed in this service, as have been semi regular customers and always tipped in the past. We won’t be ordering from here again.

We ordered from here last night after reading their reviews online and we weren't disappointed. We had pizza, chips, mozzarella sticks and a coleslaw. The man in the phone was friendly taking our order and we had no problems with our delivery, it arrived on time and hot. Would definitely eat here again if we are over this way.

50/50 chances when it comes to pizza I've had a few over cooked and burnt crust which is a shame because when there not over cooked there bloody good 👍 (to the owners apologise for not clarifying my review)

Ahh my all time favourite! I travel all over the country and to date this is the best quality of food and service I’ve had! Always look forward to coming back to Okehampton to sample the delicious menu once again!

I would highly recommend this place. From ringing up and putting my order in the staff couldn’t off been any nicer or helpful In order for us to arrange a time that worked for us and order everything we wanted! The food was by far amazing, 3 of us had chicken kebab it was perfectly cooked and the flavour was amazing by far the best kebab we have had! We are hoping to try this again before travel home again!

We have been using Pizza Plus since we moved to the area 5 years ago. Great food! Great delivery service. Our favourites, Pizza, vegetarian hot with bbq sauce base, hot & sweet. Kebab, chicken/donna mix, all salad hot hot hot chilli sauce & garlic mayo, sometimes in a wrap. Sides onion rings & chips. Covid compliant, vert clean, Never failed us. 🎶 Simply the best 🎶

Used to be a regular here until i moved away, was in the area a few weeks ago and thought I'd pop in to see if it was still as nice as it used to be and it was better than i remembered! Absolutely love this place, clean, reasonable prices, top bunch of guys working there, if you want a kebab or pizza dont look anywhere else 👍👍

We were staying in Travelodge Sourton Cross on a family break to Dartmoor National Park and after a hard day of sightseeing simply was too tired to go out to eat, we opted for pizza and this was delivered to our hotel. The spicy tandoori was yummy and our daughter went for the ham and pineapple which was also delicious, although I know this is an odd choice to many! The chips were not the best a little dry and delivery was £5. A good choice overall.

Have ordered from Pizza plus mixed quality including some stone cold pizzas, raw onion, burnt pizzas. Owners don't seem to care. Complained a few times. First time after owner was just rude we still gave them the benefit of doubt thinking ok it can happen once. Never wanted the free option and still paid for all those ordered but not enjoyed. Not mentioning the stodgy cold fries which just tasted awful on a couple of occasions. Just save yourself the trouble and buy from a supermarket or make your own. Not worth the trouble even though the delivery guy is brill and the lady on the phone tries her best. Manager/owner not worth the time, shame a small town only has a small amount of customers! Thank you for your response, this proves my point.

I’ve been self-isolating for over a month as I’m pregnant and Pizza Plus kindly delivered two chicken kebabs and a pizza to me near Okehampton. The food was absolutely delicious and really made our weekend. It arrived within 30 minutes as promised and the delivery driver left on our doorstep and knocked. We really enjoyed the food and would absolutely recommend them.

My family ordered a takeaway of £49.00 from this establishment on Sunday 16th Feb. Order placed , lady who took the order was very pleasant . We arrived 15 minutes later to pick up our order . As I proceeded to pay I took my card out to which the chap behind the counter said “ ah sorry we only accept cash “ I replied “ ah right you didn’t let me know at the point of ordering “ He said “ well you didn’t ask” “But you didn’t let me know “ “ But you didn’t ask “ This back of forth childish response went on for the next 30 seconds or so to which I simply said “ fine you know what that is so bad “ In hindsight I should have left it and walked out straight away but my family were starving as we had a long day so I paid in cash and left . What made it worse was the chaps friend who was lurking around the Corner who made a gesture with his hand as though to imply I was being rude . I did feel sorry for the lady who was working there because she did look uncomfortable with the situation , I know it certainly left a sour taste in my mouth and It put me off my meal even when I got home Now I’m a General Manager with nearly 20 years experience in customer service and honestly I felt so annoyed with that pitiful level of total unprofessional behaviour . Your leaflets say nothing about the fact you only accept Cash so how am I , the guest expected to know ???!!!! You embarrassed me and yourselves with your behaviour guys

What great staff and very friend, they go out of there way to please. The food is stop on burgers make to perfection with the quality and taste expected, if your a pizza lover to try the chilli-based pizza.

We were a bit surprised to find out that even though the Okehampton YHA website advertised that they offered evening meals, that the cafe was closed when we arrived at around 5. Oh what to do re food. Lady at reception asked if we liked Pizza, we said yes and she recommended Pizza Plus as they would deliver. Bit of a pain trying to find their menu online, could only find a photo on Facebook, but it was just legible enough for us to decide what to order. A quick phone call, a short wait for them to be delivered and yummy yummy pizzas for tea.

The few times we have used it it's fine friendly and lovely food delivered :)

Tell you your money is fake when it's not. Then give you an extremely small portion for a large.

The food is great. But a huge problem is that they do not take card. Because of this I hardly ever order from here. If they did I'd get a take out twice a week.

This shop is a right-royal-rip-off, I ordered Two large Chicken-Shish Kebab's paid £13-14 and watched as they put 3 skewers of meat on the grill (I thought 3 skewers was odd for 2 Large Kebabs, but I watched on and did not complain). I was asked if I wanted salad and I said yes with mayo please! Then I went to wait in the car as they said 10 mins until ready and the staff looked so miserable I thought I had better talk to the Mrs rather watch them mope about etc. Then I went in to collect the food, I took the bag and said thanks. I then drove 10 miles away to where we planned to eat, as the Mrs (who loves kebabs) opened hers as I parked the car she commented on how rubbish it looked and how there were 5 piddly pieces of chicken (which I thought cannot be true, as each skewer had 5-6 pieces on when I watched them be cooked), anyway assuming the Mrs was just moaning about nothing I opened mine and boy-oh-boy was she right lol, 5 piddly pieces of chicken, the salad was just lettuce (almost gone off) with no dressing and the pitta bread was just plopped on the top with no attempt to make a kebab! I think they took a 3rd skewer off the grill and probably gave it to another order (all though I was the only person in the place on ordering and collecting, or maybe the owner fed a member of staff to cheer them/him up etc), either way every kebab shop I have been in uses 1 skewer for Normal, 2 skewers for Large and 3 skewers for X-Large when it comes to kebabs, so I think they thought because I was polite and relaxed that they could diddle me out of my meat lol, well here is the payback boys, review that shall be posted for all to see and hopefully avoid being ripped off by a bunch of pathetic kebab making dweebs! :D
