Basically a take away with a seating area but the food is great. Pizzas and burgers were very tasty and fries freshly cooked to order. It is nice to find reasonably priced food during the Edinburgh Festival.

We popped in for an early dinner. I hadn't read any previous reviews, but I feel I should speak as I find. The welcome and service were fabulous, really friendly staff. We both ordered pizza, which came out promptly and were very good. As first-time visitors to Edinburgh, one waiter gave us lots of suggestions on where to go and what to see, he couldn't have been more helpful.

We and my partner went for a bite to eat and a mouse crawled under the table so gross eww wouldn’t recommend u less u want to see friendly little pets. The waiters wee sound

I have been to an awful lot of kebabs shops in my time, both sober and drunk. I can hand on heart say this is by far the worst kebab I have ever had. I'd consumed 5 pints and 3 shorts in the evening, and had had no dinner, so was pretty damn hungry at 1am. This was pretty much the only place open in the area on a Wednesday night. The staff were miserable, the place was very small. I had a chicken kebab. I'm not convinced it was chicken, but more like road kill. Rodent Road kill? My first mouthful tasted like Colgate toothpaste, however I don't feel it was that good for my teeth. I had about a third of it hoping it would get better, but alas no. The salad that came in it had the texture of porridge. I looked for a homeless person to donate it to, but then I realised I could possibly be done for attempted poisoning. I now feel sorry for the local Edinburgh bin men who may find it festering and probably still moving in one of the black bins later this week. And don't get me started on how it smelt when it came out the other end. I'll get PTSD if I think about it. You have been warned. Avoid.

Wanted to go in and sit for a pizza. Got a table and waiter took our order then bouncer came over and said that we had to take away the pizza even though restaurant staff allowed us to sit and eat. When we asked the bouncer why, he immediately started raising his voice and got aggressive. All he said to us was “because i said so” and then physically started dragging my friend outside the restaurant. The restaurant staff looked scared as well and even the outside security was apologetic as he was not understanding why the other bouncer was so aggressive. He looked like he was in his 50s which is weird as he was harassing 18 year old girls for no reason. The man was on a complete power trip and the behaviour was unacceptable when there was no reason to act the way he did. Will not be coming back as we no longer feel safe and welcome.

This place is so bad. My friend and I ordered one margarita pizza and we waited for 50 minutes before we spoke to the waiter (mustava) and he hadn’t even put the order through after confirming our order twice, we then waited another 20 minutes before we were “compensated” with tap water, while the waiter flirted with every woman in the restaurant (we spoke to some girls he gave his number to and they found it creepy and blocked him immediately)-1000 out of 10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.

We wanted a quick meal before a long train journey and fancied Italian. We just thought ‘ it will do’ but we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was good and the food really delicious. Hubby is fussy but thought his pizza was excellent and I likewise had delicious pasta. We would visit again if in Edinburgh.

Had the worst experience. We did have a lovely pizza but when it came time to pay our bill came to £18.75. The girl out in the number as we were going to split it from me and my friend which would have been £9.37. The waitress out in the total and I tapped away like I my friend would normally do. Luckily she gets a notification right away when money comes out of her account. It was £93.75 out!!! Right away she questioned it and the manager came right away and refunded her £75.00 but didn’t say any or apologize. The women working named Ola was comforting and sincere at least and very helpful. But my friend Amy could not leave the restaurant knowing they had £75.00 of her money “potentially” being refunded. We went back to Ola who comforted us in a sense to acknowledge that if by Monday Amy doesn’t receive a refund to come back at which time I said I “Sabrina” would be coming back since Amy doesn’t live close. I personally don’t know if this place of business is running a scam or not. But this is a local area for a lot of drunk people to go for a late night pizza. My friend Amy and I were not drunk luckily and just enjoying time out so she caught it. But so many drunk folks could potentially walk into this hassle/“potential scam” if they are not careful. Be careful to check the amount. If the amount is not in my friend Amy’s bank account Monday l, I will be filing a large Appeal and going within the restaurant to get this money back!

Unacceptable raw meat. That's illegal and couldn't even get a refund. Don't ever order from them you will end up in the hospital

I have no idea how do you could give this place anything but a good rating. We are from California and found a perfect place to eat late (or anytime). The pizza was great. We ordered the meat feast pizza. Ingredients were fresh and the pizza crust done to perfection. We also ordered a caprese salad. Tomatoes, were so flavorful and. scrumptious. Staff was so friendly and attentive. Nothing but a great experience. Do not hesitate to eat here! Good eats!

Was hesitant to go based on reviews but this was actually great pizza for a late night snack after hitting the pubs. Friendly and good service

*DO NOT GO HERE* I purchased a portion of chips for £5.00 (which is too expensive anyway). They told me that my card had not gone through so I paid again on another account. My first payment had in fact gone through but they lied. I have raised as a dispute with my bank and Pizza Paradise have disputed this back and kept my money. AVOID

Some great tasting food all round! Starters and mains were very tasty even for a vegetarian. Portion sizes of the dishes were very generous too. Great service from all the staff too. From a personal opinion the only thing to improve would be the selection of drinks. But that does not ruin the meal at all!

5 stars, beautiful fresh pizza, really tasty, staff excellent. Fab all around highly recommend Open untill 5am. Perfect for our late night snack whilst on our travels.

One of the best chicken shawarma and pizza place I've tried in Edinburgh, I recommend this place and the good thing is that this place stays open until late midnight.

Good Italian restaurant just off the Royal Mile. Large portions of the usual Italian dishes at very reasonable prices.

Gorgeous food! Had food there yesterday. Staff were friendly, food was gorgeous. Pizza was freshly prepared and delicious as were the chips and shawarma kebab. Definitely recommend a visit

They will try and rip you off if you go in late. If you look like you’ve had a few drinks, expect to fight for your change.

Margarita pizza looked like half a cup of oil had been poured on top. It was literally a 1-2mm thick layer over the cheese. Couldn't eat it it looked so disgusting

Eleven of us descended without booking & were immediately seated,drinks cam quickly,staff handled the situation very well...We all enjoyed our Pizza,Pasta etc...fair value for money

We were pleasantly surprised by the attentive and friendly service and the delicious pizza. Every other restaurant nearby turned us away from ordering food. We were happy to stumble upon this restaurant for late night food.

Always go here after a nightout and always have amazing food and staff! You do need to make sure you get there fast (if after 3am) as there is security on the door and tables do fill quickly !

My kids seem to love it here. Pizzas are good value and my youngest kid likes the chips with cheese. It’s cheap and cheerful.

Hicimos un viaje especial al restaurante a las 4:10 porque decía en google que está abierto hasta las 5am. Cuando llegamos, una mujer dijo estamos cerrados! Y fuimos fuera decepcionante. Nos buscaron en el cartel tenían que ging ha frente a la entrada. Dice claramente "abierto hasta las 5am" nos rrally decepcionado con el servicio.

The falaffel was really delicious! although My friend got a falaffel without Hummus and mine should be with. We didn`t know which one who`s was, so we shared half and half. Neither one of us could taste a difference.

If I had read the reviews before visiting this nice place I would probably not have gone. Lucky for us this place was great, friendly service by the Lybian owner, great shewarma and good prices. We will be back.

Got to be the worst deep fried chicken pakora I have ever had, crunchy and disgusting!

The staff were shocking bad. The glasses were filthy . I was attacked by a friend of the security who was attempting a head butt at me after I expressed dissatisfaction of the the services. I am truly appalled by this business. The pizza was sub standard. It's clearly a drunken food outlet with little to no consideration of the customers . Avoid this place. After speaking to the security at the door I was physically attacked by his associate , who attempted to head but me , subsequent falling on the floor in front of me. I would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant. I will be making a formal complaint to the city of Edinburgh council about the violence I experienced. They are not fit as a restaurant.

Je n'ai jamais mangé une chose pareille. En même temps il faut bien nourrir la viande saoûle et on aurait du se douter qu'une pizza qui ré-ouvre à 4h du matin n'attire pas que des gourmets. Quand même, la pâte n'est pas de la pâte à pizza, elle ruisselle l'huile quand on appuie dessus avec sa fourchette. Moi qui peut manger 2 pizza 2 personnes des enseignes de vente à emporter, j'étais incapable de finir cet immondisme pour 1 personne... d'après la population qui arrivait au fur et à mesure, il semble qu'il nous manquait bien 1,5 à 2g d'alcool pour en apprécier toutes les subtilités. Mangez n'importe ou, mais surtout pas là, il y a tant de choses simples et pas cher à manger à édimbourg!

I love love love this place! Food was soo yummy. I come from the middle east where food is taken so seriously, especially shawarma. The chicken shawarma was amazing. Pepperoni pizza was lovely! Beef and chicken burger were so so good. I just love it. Place is very clean and staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend.

It's hard to do really excellent pizza. It's not too hard to do good pizza. And it's painfully simple to do mediocre pizza. This small hyper-casual pizza shop (it also offers some pasta & other dishes) just off the Royal Mile boldly named itself "Pizza Paradise". Unfortunately, the pizza is truly mediocre.The place's one great virtue is that it's open until 5 AM. That's very valuable and rare in this section of Edinburgh...but no excuse for offering such a poor pie.

Certainly the worst food we've ever had at a restaurant in the UK.The Burger I had was over cooked and the 'Salad garnish' was none existent... Chips were inedible .. I had one bite of the burger & that was enough ..My wife's Lasagne was bland & burnt on the surface & watery in the layers .. Very little beef or any kind of filling (No it wasn't the vegetarian option)..Avoid at all costs ...

The pizza was frozen. Please don`t give your money to these people, Tesco`s pizza is the same. We are Italian ad we know something about it.

Absolute rubbish - DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!!! These people also run an apartment at 5 Niddry Street, Edinburgh.I stayed one night during the Edinburgh show and, having paid £300 cash on arrival, after being assured that booking .com only needed my credit card details for booking confirmation, 2 days after leaving my credit card was debited another £300!!! - The manager scammed me and denied that he did. He hung up on me when i called him to ask for a refund. He told me to pay cash on the night that we arrived and my wife was a witness to this as we had the phone on speaker. He then took another £300 off me by debiting my credit card later. On the phone he told me to check my receipt. The only receipt that i had was for £200 which we paid as a security deposit for the room which was refunded when we left the next day. He knew this as he kept saying check your receipt, he knew that we only had one for the £200 otherwise he would not have kept saying "check your receipt"!!! - I would like the opportunity to have this message added to as a warning to other travellers.

I was visiting Edinburgh with my wife on 17/18 th of February.we ended up in this (restaurant) and instead of hello we've been asked :" gonna stay here or take away?" We had our awkward meal in there while the staff was arguing all time about who is working more.horrible taste of food

Cheap. Open late. Seating available. I sat in for a hummus falafel wrap (good construction and nicely spiced falafel) and took a double espresso and baklava away. Food wise it is good and the baklava was an added bonus. It is simple fast food done right. Nothing spectacular but it hits the spot when you need sustenance.

Located in the centre, very convenient and quick service. Fairly affordable given the location but food was bland.

You'd have to make a real effort to make Pizza this bad. Drink at least eight pints before visiting this dive.

After recieving a wrong order and returning to store I spike to the rude chef who told me "I don't know vegetarians I doubt know what they do " that is word for word what I was faced with ! Pizza was good but when we ordered fanta, it was lukewarm and flat. On the way out, we observed that it had been poured from a 2L bottle kept under the counter. For 2.70 pounds, this was quite the disappointment. Also, the wine selection was poor and the house white we ordered was warmer than the fore mentioned fanta.

Where to start.I enjoy writing these reviews.We sat down at the paradise of pizzas shortly after midday, as we fancied a nice Italian lunch somewhere reasonable and an alternative to the high street chains. On reflection, the restaurant title in itself was warning enough. If you have to describe your establishment as a paradise it's going to be grim.Warm beer. This wouldn't be too much of an issue, however when the pizza ordered tasted like cheesy rubber it soon dawned on me that a colder drink may have helped wash away the chewy, several-day-old taste of the 'pizza pollo piccante' (bread, suspect chicken squares and jalapenos). While I was bitterly disappointed, it was my partner who got it bad. We shared our £5 cheesy garlic bread to begin. After ordering, it took the square root of half a second to receive our somehow burnt, supermarket-esque slices. At this point we laughed, but then her main was presented. Within 5 minutes of finishing our supermarket bread, she received her main. Hard noodles doused in hell raising chilles and jalapenos, despite the menu suggesting they would compliment the other ingredients rather than outnumber them. The meals were both left part-nibbled, and in typically British fashion we swanned away with wry smiles, only to hide our inner-outrage and disgust at the bin-dipper meal for two. Never again. You have been warned.

Why don't more people observe the address of the establishment before reviewing?It's a shame that this very good establishment at the end of the George IV (directly across from Chambers St) shares its name with the late-night horror show on South Bridge.

Bought a beer burger from them today. Burger was cooked from frozen so raw in middle (see photo), luckily I noticed before eating the whole thing. Head chef (not sure chef is the right word) didn't wash his hands after handling the raw meat and went on to handle other customers cooked pizza. Absolutely nowhere near basic food hygiene levels. I will be reporting to EHO.

Very ordinary food, pizzas were better than the other dishes. Could get better value for money in other locations.

I visit this place on a regular basis so the people that work there know me and are very kind to me! As for this thing about not getting food if you did order enough? Once I just ordered a caramel slice for ��1 and was served kindly. Their pizzas are fast food pizzas and are very very nice in spite of this fact. I always come here when I am in the mood for pizza. As for the rude waitress yes I will agree, but that doesn't take away from the experience. Yummy food and cheap prices. These reviews are expecting far too much from a ��4 pizza!

After a long day traveling & all the other popular restaurants were booked up we opted for the nearest restaurant.Yes there were only another 2 people in the place but our experience was overall good, the waitress was very friendly,our pizzas were hot & tasty & the service was good, was good value for money.

It was about 2.00 pm when we came in. First of all, we were asked our ID in a very rude manner, I do not know why because anyone else were asked such a thing. The waitress was very impolite, and when we told her we wanted to share the pizzas (despite they were expensive) she didn't want us to share, she said we had to order at least 4 pizzas and if we were not in agreement we must leave, in a very rude manner. So we decided to leave that horrible place.I loved Edinburgh but I will never come back to that place

I don't think the fact that we visited during the Fringe Festival was a contributory factor to the disappointment of our visit here. Looking for a quick and easy meal one evening before attending another show we dropped in on Pizza Paradise. It wasn't too busy which leads me to believe that the festival being on was not why the food and service was so poor.I've had so many pizzas, takeaway and in restaurants but never have I paid for one before that has been prepare by an expert in the field that was so bad. It was swimming in topics and so much cheese that it made the pizza feel damp and soggy.The sides of garlic bread were no better, cold and damp and the service was functional at best.Looking forward to visiting Edinburgh for festival again next year but won't hurry back here.

It was about 11p.m. when we went to the 'restaurant' after looking over the menu and prices it seemed as though there would be at least a decent standard of food. The staff were OK initially but when the family on the table next to us made a complaint, the staff went behind the bar and started talking Polish, With my girlfriend being Polish we could hear and understand what was being said. One of the waitresses said to another "You need to learn how to lie to people faces", the waitress returned to the family but we did not hear what they told them, a short while after the table paid their high bill and left quite annoyed.On the opposite side there was a couple that ordered a chicken burger and chips which made rustlers burgers look like luxury and they had similar problems when complaining.The food we ordered came in good time to be fair, but I would have rather waited and received quality. The pizza was burnt, the ingredients tasted cheap, even the jalapeños could not cover this up. My girlfriend ordered the mushroom risotto which looked and tasted like it had come out of the microwave. If this had been on a budget then there would be no complaints, but for £26 (including two 330ml Budweiser's) we expect a better standard. It is not as if the portions are big as some other reviews have said. I would not advise anyone to go here unless you are just coming out of a club completely wasted and wanting to throw money away.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars, as I didn't actually get to eat anything! It was about 10:30 at night and the place was open for several more hours when we walked in. We were hoping to just get some drinks and dessert before heading home. We tried to order, and the waitress said "No, you need to order something to eat:. We said "we'd like 2 banana splits". She said "sorry, that's not enough, you need to order more". So were said "so you refuse to serve us then?" Without apology she just said "yes" and walked away.Now, the restaurant was not crowded...there were at least 4 or 5 empty tables. It was late at night, and what we were ordering would have been over 18 quid, more than a single meal there. So what is the big deal?So we ordered a pizza, and it was disgusting. The cheese was cold and the tomato sauce was so cheap, like ketchup. You'd get better pizza and better service picking up a frozen pizza down the road at Tescos....don't give these morons your money.NEVER visit this restaurant if you actually want to eat something.

The menu here is fairly small and prices are high. However, big portion sizes make up for the price. This can explain why tourists always like to stop here! Service wasn't overly friendly but if you fancy greasy food, then pizza paradise is the place to go.

With so many restaurants bumping up their prices during August due to the Fringe Festival/Tattoo, this place is my regular haunt for an enormous, cheap slice of pizza between seeing shows.It's not an authentic, wood-fired Italian pizza, it's a UK takeaway. If you bear this in mind, and want something cheap and filling in the centre of town, this is the place.
