If only I had read reviews before walking in here……this is a cheap pizza place and not a fish and chip shop, as advertised outside. I was after some proper soggy/crispy chip shop chips and this is not what I got here. The chips were the frozen kind and while they were fine in a restaurant or other venue that serves chips like this, I felt that I was partially misled with all the signage outside. I also made the mistake of paying upfront and when I saw the bad reviews online, tried to cancel the order but was told “I’m new here and don’t know how to do that”…….he wasn’t new, he just didn’t want to give me back the £4.50. To be fair, the chips were fine but they are not the kind that one expects and wants when by the seaside on a nice day. I would have given 1 extra star if not for the man’s attitude.

Chips and curry sauce, I paid and then unfortunately realised it he was pouring chips out of a bag, frozen into the fryer! Anyway, I took them as I’d paid and I had a few and then gave them away to a homeless guy and went down the road to a proper chippy. It was advertised as a fish and chip shop, being on the sea front I expected proper fish and chips and not frozen rubbish. Only good thing is that I didn’t order fish as that would have wasted more money.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Avoid like the plague, any positive reviews clearly haven't eaten the food here, it is barely edible. Wish I had seen the rating before eating here. We had to throw two pizzas in the bin after 1 slice. Disgusting 🤢

Absolutely disgusting. Pizza base had a bite out of it (actually a bite shape) when i opened the box! Thick undercooked base, too much cheese, poor quality everything. Only stopped here for something to eat, late after a gig at the Brighton centre. Couldn’t eat it. Waste of money.

I literally watched the man take my £18 pizza from the freezer and into the oven. After making my order, I was then told to enter my expensive order onto an iPad, for god knows why. My girlfriend ate a whole slice and claims there wasn’t a single tomato on it. I’d rather eat clay than ever eat one of these disgusting £18 pizzas.

Me and my friend are Homless and the guy working in there wouldn’t let me and my friend a couple of pounds off a pizza or chips so we could eat I hope one day they are in a situation where they ask for food where they are so hungry and get told no put them in our shoes and every other Homless persons shoes

I cannot express the criminality of this establishment. This pizza tastes as though it has been boiled in water from an old kettle. I am wholly envious of people with no taste buds, because at least they would have expected this to be so insanely bland. Without the deal these pizzas are £18 each? I can only imagine this as some sick social experiment in which rich people aim to spend so much money to experience an immersive war-time palette void of basic seasoning and flavours. Watching the singular employee create the pizza was a distressing foreshadowing for the dire product to come. Pizza King? I demand they abdicate.

Truly awful oven chips. Curry sauce was cold and was mostly just lumps of flour. I don't exactly have high hopes when I'm getting after work chips at 1am but this was impressively bad

Do NOT bother! The absolute worst pizza I’ve ever had the misfortune of trying to eat. Horrible pre brought bases, cheap & nasty toppings (think even a dog would turn their nose up at the ‘ham) Pizzas undercooked. Partners pizza 14” had 8 tiny pieces of pepperoni (inch rounds): half the slices didn’t have any pepperoni but, as it turned out, that didn’t actually matter as it was so flavourless as to be inedible. Total waste of time & money. If it wasn’t pouring outside I would go back and demand a refund. I don’t generally leave reviews but this was so awful I just have to try and save someone else from the experience. Assume they are only still in business because visitors don’t realise and chance it. Not happy and still hungry!

I was in Brighton for the Liverpool game really wanted pizza and it was late but couldn’t find anywhere except this absolute dump possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had I had my suspicions as soon as I set eyes on them but you always think well it’s only pizza what can go wrong I would never have ordered fish or chicken from this place and they are the ‘pizza king’ how wrong I was should have trusted my instincts originally awful pizza minimal tomato sauce on it and undercooked cheese awful staff if I would of still been there when they went home for the night I probably wouldn’t have been able to hold myself back for serving me that crap anyway ended up giving it to the homeless fella who was sat right outside I got the feeling he sits there every night because a lot of people do the same as me and just give their food to him

I took my sun into Brighton as he has a lot of internet friends who wanted to meet up . After they had such a mediocre day in a fairly bland town I thought I would try and get them some food to cheer them up. We stumbled upon this quaint pizza shop and walked inside. Was greeted by an extremely friendly elderly gentleman working behind the bar who greeted us with a smile (you dont get that at nandos). He entertained my sun and his friends with some funny jokes and we made the order. The man was a bit slow but he is old so that is okay and he was really friendly. He cooked the food for us himself!! We sat inside and the kids loved it :) Don't understand all of the trolls but I have seen the decline of Brighton inhabitants in recent years. Many of them obsessed woke internet kiddies who think the world owes them everything. I highly recommend PIZZA KING and it well & truly lives up to the name. Friendly people & great food.

I thought it would be a great idea to have fish& chips with Pizza for the kids. This is the first restaurant we came across that seemed to suit our needs. Clean looking place and ordered our food. Well the fish& chips served with garlic bread 😳 was very bland everything clearly from the freezer. Chips was like oven chips from supermarket cheap hard rubbish chips. Pizza looked lovely and at the end I had the left over slice. I didn’t finish it, in fact I just about finished that first bit. The dough was definitely turning off,(not fresh) but my daughter seemed happy so I didn’t make a issue with it. £57 for that rubbish and only to walk a few doors up to see busy with great looking plates of food with happy faces restaurants, looking at me looking at them thinking omg I wish I was sitting there!

My partner and I had been at a concert and just fancied some chips afterwards. A treat for my partner, who is usually on a fairly strict diet. As such, you want your treat to be worth the sacrifice. Unhappily not so from this establishment. I guess these results are of no interest to the proprietor. Reviews are pretty terrible but no sign of any improvement. 219 out of 220 at the time of this review. Last spot beckons soon, I suspect. If you do read this before going there, take my advice and either a) go elsewhere or b) starve. Either is preferable.

The middle aged grey haired older man working behind the till was rubbing sweat off his face with his hands, then making the dough after too :/ Then he kept staring at my friend like she was the last supper. We ordered something else instead and it still tasted ancient like a fantasy book

Doesn’t deserve one star honestly, staff member was rude, the food was horrible and he gave incorrect change, we watched him batter various things gloveless and spit fall from his mouth into it and around the shop I’m honestly disgusted

Last night I purchased what they call a chicken burger. I was bitterly disappointed upon opening to discover one small piece of breaded chicken carelessly placed in a disintegrating bun. No salad, no tomatoes, no sauce and definitely no f***ks given. The small piece of chicken was actually quite tasty, but that’s probably because I was very drunk. The only reason we went here was because Burger King was very busy. I definitely won’t be returning. One angry customer.

Worst pizza I've ever had. The ham wasn't ham, the bread was chewy and uncooked. Looked like he frisbeed the pizza across the room into to box from across the room.

It really doesn't deserve one star. Not only did the staff member make the food without gloves and lick his finger & didn't wash his hands! The pizza themselves was absolutely horrifying I was disgusted with how bad it tasted it was like chewing on some cardboard and tasted very dry with no taste other than cardboard. The chicken didn't even smell or look like chicken and the second one it was like he through all of the items on the pizza to the point it looked like a mountain!! The place needs a deep clean and a food hygiene visit the pizza was the worst one I've ever tried burnt crust and a hard base...gross!!!

Don’t get sucked in by 2 for 1 pizza. Margarita very tasteless…we didn’t even try the 2nd pizza. All signs in the shop were wonky. Server looked nervous and didn’t appreciate us inspecting the pizza before we left. Table and chairs were clearly from a hostel. We took one bite tasted nothing so gave both pizzas to a homeless person

Possibly the worst "pizza" I've ever had in my life - it is levels worse than frozen store-bought pizza and they even forgot my pepperoni topping. Oh, and it's 16 quid too. Shambolic :)

Issue number one: my partner and I ordered 2 9” Margherita pizzas which would have cost £9.80 but we were charged £12.80 which was the price of 2 12” pizzas, so we made sure we were given 2 12” pizzas so as not to be swindled out of money again.Issue number two: we were given 2 pepperoni pizzas instead of Margherita. My partner is vegetarian and cannot touch meat products, so the cashier took the pepperoni off the pizzas and asked if that was good enough, which we found very disrespectful and insulting.Issue number three: when we tried to convince the cashier that he had given us the wrong pizza on at least three separate occasions (because he kept trying to push the contaminated pizzas on to us), he got increasingly more assertive and wasn’t taking no for an answer, and even accused us of not being able to afford the pepperoni pizzas despite overcharging us. We had to stand our ground to ensure we were given the very simple order that we placed.Issue number four: he seemed to play his music too loud in an attempt to annoy us after the above had taken place.I will never be returning to this establishment, the food was not worth the wait and the service was beyond shocking! If I could have given zero stars, I would have.

Asked for two 9inch margarita pizzas, luckily I noticed that I was charged the price of two 12 inch and ensured I was given what I paid for. However I was then given two pepperoni pizzas. I’m a vegetarian and relaid this information and was given attitude for stating that I can’t eat a pepperoni pizza. The server then proceeded to peel off the pepperoni in front of me and then hand me the pizza. When I said I can’t eat the pizza if meat has been cooked on it he then began making the correct pizza but was complaining about my request to change the pizzas as if I had offended him by being a vegetarian in his presence.

I was in Brighton for a stag do of someone I'm not particularly fond of anyway so I thought after a night out I'd grab some food to cheer me up. Walked into Pizza King with high hopes! You can't call yourself the pizza king and have terrible pizzas surely?I ordered a medium chicken and mushroom waited for about 15/20 minutes for them to cook it and then was greeted with 2 pizzas. In my drunken state I completely missed the massive signs which say 'Buy one get one free' my eyes lit up, what a bonus.I decided to wait until I got back to the hotel before eating the pizza so I could sit down and enjoy it properly.I opened the box and here's where the problems begin. There was about 2 pieces of chicken and about 3 slices of mushroom across the whole pizza. I grabbed a slice and took a bite. I nearly lost my teeth it was burnt and dry as the Sahara! I'd avoid this place like the plague if I'm ever in Brighton again!

Pizza is Absolutely nothing like in the pictures, this is not an authentic looking one either, both pizzas were thin crust and edges blackened where they have been over cooked, the base has no colour and tastes very doughy, I had 2 pepperonis and both tasted like supermarket ones. I am very disappointed as the pictures show are very false advertising.

Sadly, a truly bad experience. Fish burnt, orders wrong, all the vinegar bottles had flies and dirt in them, dirty cutlery. A truly awful eating experience - and for the price of £64 for 5 of us.......wish we'd read these reviews before eating here. AVOID

Chips and sausage were okay but the extras such as curry and gravy weren’t fresh and were microwaved. The curry was clumpy and cold and the gravy was cold. Wouldn’t recommend. Try the chippy further down the road

Went in with my husband and 3 kids, should of followed my instincts and walked straight out. Not proper fish and chips, just frozen, came out burned and the chips full of little crusty black bits. Stopped for some fish and chips and Steve makes them fresh for you upon ordering. Fish only cost £4.50 good value and spot on with portion of chips and a cup of tea. We looked at fish & chips on pier and cost £12.95 for 8 ozs - 10ozs so glad we didn't, nothing special! Would visit Pizza King again for lunch time fish & chips any time.

Be very careful in this place. I bought a pizza and ive scan the card to pay for it. The lady said that the payment was declined so she asked me to insert the card. I did it and then ive realize that the payment was done twice. I went to the store to ask for my money and they didn want to give me my money back and the boss of the lady was super rude and he asked me to leave the store. And they dont want to give me any proof from their system that the payment was done once. Disgusting! There was another guy and they did the same! And the guy went back home trusting in this people who are keeping the money from the customers. Criminals.

Brought 2 pizzas on 28th January when we opened the box both pizzas were uncooked with superflous raw uncooked onions. When we came back and asked for a refund or exchange the employee was not helpful and said he would lose his job. Absolute waste of money. Dont buy from here!

Fuimos a comprar una pizza gratis, el hombre que servía era miserable y apenas hablaba. Cuando llegó la pizza, parecía que no se había cocinado y la carne estaba fría. Inmediatamente le planteamos el problema al empleado y le dijimos que no podíamos comer esto. Su respuesta fue alejarse y seguir trabajando. Mi compañero tuvo que levantarse e ir a preguntarle qué iba a hacer. Solo tenía 18 en la caja y no sabía cómo reembolsar las tarjetas, le preguntamos al gerente y dijo que no tenía su número. ¡Nunca más iríamos aquí!

Personal muy grosero. Me hizo sentir bastante estúpido. Vine con amigos para el fin de semana. La comida estaba fría y cara. Pidió una cena de cordero. Le dieron lettecue como ensalada. . Una vez llegué a abrir la bandeja correctamente después de salir. Me di cuenta de que no había pan de pita. 7 para un poco de carne y lechuga. Los amigos pidieron la pizza bogof. Base quemada, poco cocida y dura. Casi ningún aderezo. Pérdida total de dinero. No volvería a comer aquí nunca más. ¡EVITAR! Este lugar ni siquiera merece una estrella. El pescado estaba empapado y seco al mismo tiempo, sin masa real, olía mal y todavía tenía piel de pescado adherida. No pude comerlo y cuando intenté dárselo a las gaviotas ¡ni siquiera ellas lo querían! PERDIDA DE DINERO ! Las patatas fritas no estaban bien cocidas y secas también. . . parecía como si hubieran calentado el pescado y las patatas fritas en el microondas en lugar de freírlo. Absolutamente asqueroso ! ! Mi esposo y yo nos sentimos enfermos el resto del día. ¡Este lugar debería estar cerrado!
