Pizza Hut Restaurants in Babergh

Unfortunately, after coming a number of times to this restaurant, the overall experience was poor at best this time round. To begin with I had to go and ask for a glass for a drink after ordering as we waited quite some time. After getting said glass, the drink I poured myself was then flavourless. So I had to go and ask for another glass. Now both of these things are minor and if it had stopped there then I probably wouldn't have even wrote this review. Sadly it didn't stop there. We ordered a sharer main and a kids meal. Our main was brought out first (genius!) With no plates in site. So either we had to eat our food off the table or I had to take another trip to the bar to ask for plates (yep back to the bar I go). After sitting there with our mains for around 5+ mins whilst all other adult meals were brought out there was still no sign of our daughters meal! You guessed it, back to the bar to chase it up. At this point I felt it was probably about time to eat my meal. To say it was luke warm at best is generous, that includes the sides. But after everything else I did not have the energy to go to the bar again. Pretty sure at this point i was wearing a hole in the floor. Our daughters meal finally turned up and then i had to spend the best part of 10 mins cooling it down. Imagine they brought it out first, what a novel idea! After finishing our mains we then sat there for around 30 mins before one of us had to then go and chase up our desserts and our table was not clear. Not long after asking a staff member about our desserts someone came to clear our table. She took half of the empty plates away. No dramas, we could eat around the rest! The only thing that could save the experience now would be the cheesecake that we had ordered via the app at the start. But obviously that was not going to happen! We are then told that the restaurant had run out of cheesecake! Firstly, why offer it on the app in the first place, secondly, if I hadn't spent half my time doing laps of the restaurant chasing our food we may have had our desserts sooner! We finally settled on an alternative. If I closed my eyes the cookie dough almost tasted like the cheesecake I had ordered....not. I appreciate that some things cannot be helped, but we turned up when the restaurant was half full so our order should have been fulfilled. A really poor experience and one that will certainly make me question about going again.

Very disappointing lunch today. Was really looking forward to the buffet pizza lunch. Salad bar was well stocked but pizza was almost non existent. Lots of people waiting so as soon as one pizza came out, it was gone in a flash (if you were lucky to get a slice). No choice as they just appeared one at a time. Considering they do a pizza buffet every day, I was expecting it to be better run.

The lady got us a table then had to order and pay via the app. Wasn't even given a glass for our drinks. Salad bar almost completely empty and was empty our entire visit so couldn't have most of the salad. The lady never came back to see us the entire time. Can't use cash and had to use card. Very cheeky for the app to ask for a tip when I received no service apart from seeing to our table and had no option but to pay by card and order online. Can't say bad service. Simply no service whatsoever.

Pizza tastes great and served piping hot. We tried buffet for first time and overall good experience. They were regularly bringing variety of pizzas and salad bar was refreshingly filled up. It was busy place with family and children which is great.

Really nice restaurant, nice size not to big and not too small, great service and decent food. It's pretty expensive being near £30 for a large pizza, there was 8 of us 4 adults & 4 kids & it cost almost £200 but if you've got a blue light card you can get 25% off the bill which helps!!

Buffet had no flavour whatsoever, all the pizzas were thick base, none thin and crispy. Took ages to replenish the pizza so there wasn't much to choose from. The staff aren't friendly at all, they all can't be enjoying their work. I was told to pay from a qr code which I hadn't done before, I put through the order thinking that the ice cream was included in the kids buffet price. A member of staff came over and spoke to me very rudely asking me if I was going to pay separately for the ice cream at the end, I apologised as I thought it was included and I was told to come to till to pay for it, I was then charged an additional £12, on top of what I had originally paid. Only, after I came home I looked on their website to see that you can pay an additional £2 per child to have the all in option. Nothing was explained to me and I was made out to be the bad one. Very rude. I won't be returning sadly.

The food was good and arrived quickly. Ordering it via the app rather than just talking to the staff was odd and less than intuitive. The main reason for this review, however, was the appalling stench of raw sewage in the male and female lavatories. It was so bad that it made me feel nauseous, which somewhat took the shine off the pizza eating event. Also, my son found that the lavatory paper had run out in the cubicle - presumably because staff didn't want their senses assaulted by the noxious niff when going in there to replenish.

Absolute shambles of a place, would not recommend at all.

Great as expected, great staff and food, can be a little pricy, but staff are great, this is a popular place and it is worth booking in advance on weekends / public holidays etc.

This place needs a deep clean and maybe a new dishwasher! The cutlery, bowls and glasses were absolutely filthy. One of the waitresses seemed like she was doing all the work and being attentive towards customers whereas another seemed unhappy to be there.

Waiting by the till over 15 min, no one come to greet or seat us down. Two of the staff members came out literally ignored us. I do understand they may be under staffed but not even saying a word is absolutely outrageous. Worst place ever.

Constantly give dairy cheese instead of dairy free. Very dangerous for allergy sufferers.

Online order for collection, left unattended for 15mins to be told it's now being cooked, total wait time 45mins no pizza and no in-store refund. Store manager SAM needs sacking before she causes any more damage to an already tired restaurant REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN SERVICE

Waited for 10 minutes at the wait to be seated, was looked at directly about 6 times and still didn’t get seated. I just left as i’m guessing this is a reflection of the service in general

I paid £26 for 2 pizzas and one was delivered! I took video of the driver confirming he only delivered one. I want a refund.

Avoid. Where to start? Restaurant looked busy upon arrival, but turns out it wasn’t busy, it was just slow. Waited an age to be asked for our order, we had a voucher but couldn’t use it on the app, went to the bar to ask to use it and lady didn’t know, so asked us to go back to our table and wait for them to come to us. They didn’t. We had to go back and ask again. We placed the order and got our food an hour later. Two hungry children. By this point the restaurant was in chaos, Uber Eats drivers waiting, takeaway waiting over an hour and others in the restaurant with no food an hour later…Then, everyone being told their orders are pending all of a sudden, and they cannot confirm when the food will be out, so people can either cancel or wait! Only two ladies in the joint all of a sudden are nowhere to be seen and one guy is dealing with all the flack from customers! Turns out, the Manager was cooking and this line ranger out in the restaurant was from a London branch. The girls who left had finished their shift leaving so many customers waiting for food!!! Apparently they were from a London branch too - this place must be going to ruin if a branch has no permanent staff! All in all, we waited two hours and when we asked when our desserts will be out, the guy said at least ten minutes, I said at least, that doesn’t sound sue coming from him, he literally then said you can go if you want to instead. We had to pay for our food even though we had to wait so long, endure such bad service and then basically be told we don’t know when the dessert we’ve already paid for will be served to us. Astounding! I hope Pizza Hut see this and reach out but maybe their team that look at reviews are covering another struggling branch!

Placed an order via uber.. never had a problem with it before. My order went through to this pizza hut and nearly 2hours waiting and they are still wrapping up. Many phone calls unanswered. 1 person answered and hung up. 2 hungry kids waiting patiently for dinner. Uber drivers being ignored. Would no recommend. Absolutely shocking service.

Ordered a pepsi max- it didnt arrive. The delivery man has absolutey no responsibility and cant do anything about it so youre just left to deal with it! Really poor

Pizza was too a good standard , Advised to Have the special offer, £ 8.00 less, Which was a good gesture .. And the side order Was pretty good. From past experience with other branches, I was seriously expecting a piece of crappie burnt coal, All in all It was good food.. Just be careful of Brainless drivers trying to Crash into you, When, using the crossings, Racing about at 45mph, when it's pedestrian write of way.

Visited this evening at 5:30. It took ages to order via the QR code, which wouldn’t accept our voucher as payment. The manager had to manually process it at the till. Then the problems started. Three of our party were vegan. They ordered a kids' meal for their son, which arrived with pepperoni on top! We’re not even sure if the cheese was vegan (thankfully he didn’t have an allergy). My partner didn’t receive her pizza until about 15 minutes after the rest of us had started eating. When we asked about it, they brought out a similar pizza, but it was missing the garlic dusting. She pointed this out, so they took it back and returned with her actual (but cold) pizza, which seemed to have been left somewhere and forgotten. Over an hour later, we were still waiting for desserts. We had to go up and ask for them, as no one attended our table for a long time, even though we were sitting at the closest table to the tills. Two out of three vegan desserts arrived, and we had to chase the third. Our own dessert never arrived, and after asking about it four times, one staff member told us it was "being prepared." So we waited. When we asked again, another staff member admitted it hadn’t even been put in the oven. Finally, 45 minutes later, we received our dessert, but by then we had to take it as a takeaway because it was past our kids’ bedtimes. Throughout, there were no real apologies, and the staff seemed miserable and unenthusiastic. The food was good (apart from the cold pizza), but it was embarrassing to have to chase things multiple times and spend three hours waiting around. Considering the very high cost that you pay these days for Pizza Hut it's not worth the month at all. Definately won't be ever returning.

Made an order to collect on mine and missus anniversary as we love the hut however on this occasion I was left abit disappointed. Now while I will take partial blame for not checking the food before leaving (I shouldn't have to and never had to with pizza hut) upon getting home both mine and my partners pizza just looked and tasted undercooked. We didn't eat immediately getting home and by time I had realised this all it was too late for me to return and I think it will be a while before I do again. Crust was basically pale still instead of the standard golden brown it should be. Frustrating

The staff, food and drink were all lovely. It was suddenly super busy which made it quite chaotic as everyone seemed to have been placed in one area of the restaurant rather than being spread out. Also, the buffet price seems to have shot up from our last visit so that was quite the shock but overall our visit was a pleasant one and our waitress was very attentive.

Waited for over 45 mins for food. Takeaways seem to get priority over customers inside the restaurant. It is not fair on customers sitting down and waiting forever, as if they completely forget about us sitting and waiting. We may as well go somewhere else next time, where they look after us properly and serve us. The same thing happened to us on our last 2 visits. It spolt the whole experience. It used to be much better than that. Maybe turn the place into a takeaway place instead. P.S. We don't think it's the waiting staff fault, they are very helpful. It is just not enough of them in that place.

One pizza was missing. We spent 20 minutes continuously ringing the restaurant and nobody picked up the phone. Someone eventually answered and he went over and above to be as unhelpful as possible. Rude, unprofessional and uninterested.

Took 2 hours from ordering to arrive, cold on arrival

Trying to order on the App was impossible. Put next to loads of screaming kids. 84 pounds for 2 Pizzas and 2 bowels of chips and 4 drinks, 3 of the soft. Was extortionate. Won't be going back. Seemed under staffed. The young girl on her own serving us did her best to help out. 3 stars because of waisted time after being asked to order online.

Not the pizza hut we used to know and love. The self service app at the table is so impersonal and awkward to use. Having to pay before you eat, may as well be a Macdonald's

The food was acceptable but reasonably basic. The service was virtually non-existent as it is all self-service. The place has no atmosphere at all as they want the customers in and then out as quickly as possible.

The food was lukewarm at best & I ordered a meal deal which should have included a 500ml bottle of Pepsi but that was missing from my order. Everytime I order from here the food is never hot

Great selection of pizzas, ice cream factory is AMAZING (unlimited Mr Whippy with sauces and candy toppings). Pasta is tasty and great salad selection. Staff quick to change empty dishes and very polite and friendly :)

Some of the best and friendly service I have ever received from start to finish. Visited here the otherday with my family. 6 of us had the buffet. The food was hot, tasty and fresh. But the best part was Claire’s very pleasant and professional service to myself and my visiting family. I am very grateful. Thank you Claire.

Pizzas were delivered like they'd been thrown over a wall with the pizzas all slammed into one side of the box, also missing half the order, driver was gone by the time i could turn around and ask him for it

All 3 pizzas werent overly warm. One was squished in the corber of the box. No ice cream for the cookie dough

I'd always enjoyed a well grilled Chicken Supreme when I worked at Stratford Station and got my lunch from Pizza Hut Westfield. So I took a punt and spent £20 on a regular Chicken Supreme pizza with 2 extra toppings. Ugh, ugh, ugh,!!! It looked like it had been boiled rather than flame grilled. The chicken was white and bland, the cheese white and bland..the peppers limp and bland!!! I should have expected as much for when I collected my order, 20.21...the restaurant was deserted bar just ONE couple. One couple just.gone 8pm on a Saturday evening? I recall when younhad to wait and stand in line at the door to be seated once upon a time at Pizza Hut! A testament to the "quality" of food being served no doubt! Folks eventually vote with their feet!!! All I can say is...sorry Dominoes...I'll be back next week...and it's been a tasteless "£20 lesson" well learnt!! Never Pizza Hut again!!! The tastiest part of the pizza was the CRUST...seriously it was!! My local beady eyed seagulls had the rest!! Hope they don't get the runs!!!

Was made aware that it was cashless and mobile app ordering then confirmed we were OK with this. Was attentive but not in our faces and made sure we, my 19 yo son and I, had a nice time.

The pizza was cold and not even the correct one. To then be 30 minutes late just made it worse.

Was nice to eat what you want at the buffet. Staff were friendly too which was a bonus. Ordering using the barcode was good too

We needed to fit a meal in a specific time so Pizza Hut worked great today everything was very quick and there was no waiting. Staff were friendly on arrival and showed us to our table very promptly and checked we were ok to use app and offered to help further with this aspect if needed. Pizzas were well topped up and the staff kept a very close eye on these throughout so made doing the buffet a great option for us.

missing items from the order and food cold

On arrival we were seated, 3 adults and 2 children, asked to order by the app, food arrived and was OK, cheesy bites not worth the nearly £5 extra, mozzarella sticks were not cooked enough, corn on the cob was not a nice colour and didn't look appetising. Asked for dessert as it wasn't coming and if we could have desserts in a box to take away and all they did was scrape the chocolate brownie off the kids plates into the box along with the scoop of ice cream on top 😲 all of our food came to nearly £100 so expected better service really, the lady who served us was pleasant

Had a really good experience @ copdock pizza hut this weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful, and 1 guy in particular went above and beyond. I'm so sorry, I didn't get his name. Tall guy, put on an ITFC shirt before he left! Thanks so much. We will certainly be back. My only negative feedback would be that it's such a shame we're now encouraged to order on our phones. It must have killed tips for the hardworking staff? Table service is so much more personal.

Poorly managed! Ordered and pizza came out with wrong toppings, waitress promised that a new pizza would be cooked and waited & waited and no pizza turned up. Complained again and then the waitress just said ‘I don’t know where that pizza went that you were promised’. The manager didn’t once come out to face us and speak to us in person, just sent the poor waitress to deal with her dreadful management. Restaurant was also freezing cold! The ice cream factory ice cream was awful and definitely not worth £4.99 as priced. Other tables were also complaining and wanted to speak to the manager. Won’t be returning.

Booked in advance and asked for a table out of the way as my son is disabled. They were very accommodating. It was easy to order on the app at the table ( they do also offer to take your order and place it for you in the usual way). We had the pizza buffet followed by the ice cream factory. It was a treat for my daughter. When we arrived first there were limited pizzas available but more soon arrived. Table clean and tidy. Staff quick and polite. Toilets would be a little hard to navigate to in a wheelchair as they are behind the buffet. It was a pleasant meal out for us and not too expensive.

Food is OK, but those prices wow. It looks like it's going the same way as Little Chef went shame

It was my first time going to Pizza Hut.. and also my last. For kids.. It's great. The buffet is suitable for them. But the pizza isn't anything special.. for the price of things, it was so disappointing.

All the nostalgia attached to my student days. When you order your food online, you have to enter a tip amount. Which is odd as no-one has even served you yet.

Melts are delicious, just a shame the sauces are allocated to the melt, rather than bring able to have a free choice of a sauce (eg spicy tomato with meat feast melt is the presented sauce, when I'd quite like the BBC sauce instead).

Rather crowded, but it was a Friday afternoon at half term. Staff was very attentive, but a bit thin on the ground.

Overall the experience with my daughter was positive when we visited for the buffet. The only complaints I have were over the selection of pizzas and the frequency with which they refilled the pizza bar. The food was lovely as always, good pizza, salad bar was fresh and had plenty of selection. The experience was somewhat tainted by a group of diners sat near us who wouldn't stop cursing and being vulgar despite being seated near three other tables that had children and the staff seamed reluctant to say anything to these customers. That however doesn't detract from the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. Will definitely dine here again.

Exactly what you would expect, good food, fantastic staff and a friendly atmosphere. Staff took their time to ensure that our large party had the best deal from their in house offers and our personal reductions from the AA.

Cold when arrived not impressed

Lovely place but a shame you couldn't get any decent coffee to finish your meal off.

On arrival we were recognised and greeted quickly, dealt with and shown to our table quickly and whilst walking to it asked if we were ‘ordering through the app?’ I just replied yes immediately as I knew it would give us a little more time to decide without the staff being pressured to serve us sooner. We perused the menu and made our order online and it was a doddle (great job with the app by the way - really smooth operation) paying was also seamless with options a plenty just so simple. We were brought our bowls and glasses and told whereabouts to select our drinks and where the salad bar was. Your staff were polite patient and did not hang around which we thought was nice just allowing us to go up and get our own salad and drinks in our own time with no hurrying. Our mains arrived shortly after and we was like ravenous cave dwellers but extremely satisfied in next to no time. The tables and floor was clean and the whole place looked really nicely presented.

The staff were attentive and helpful with service and recommendations. The selection of food was also great and a key factor why we came here rather than other places.

Used to love Pizza Hut and in all honesty the pizza is still really good but our over all experience wasn’t great. First off we were told they didn’t except cash then to be told we had to order via a QR code and at the end of ordering on my phone to be asked if I wanted to leave a tip?? For what? At this point I’d don’t most of the staffs job. Took my families order, payed and got our drinks. Salad bar was ok no pasta which I always remember Pizza Hut having. Once the food came out which wasn’t long at all to be fair, it was really tasty pizza which Pizza Hut has always been good at. Except for our food this wasn’t a good restaurant experience felt more like mc Ds or burger king if I’m honest at a premium price. Gutted that Pizza Hut has gone this route. Also for a Friday night when I remember Pizza Hut always being rammed it was dead with only 3 other tables occupied.

The staff were very welcoming at the copdock restaurant.
