Pizza Hut Delivery in St Albans

I have always loved the pizza from Pizza Hut, but tonight’s experience (and the steadily declining service) leaves much to be desired. Food was late and while still warm-ish, was not in the best condition. On one of the pizzas, the cheese had slid all the way across to the other side of the pizza, and I can’t say for sure, but I don’t feel like I got the pan pizza base. I think I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.

It’s not the best but it’s not the worst either. The food quality is great - absolutely delicious pizzas it cannot be denied. However on my last visit when collecting, despite the order appearing as “ready” on my app, I had to wait a further 15-20 minutes at the venue. This was disappointing for obvious reasons as I had upheld my end of the bargain - being there on time. Overall - food great but room for improvement on service.

Why they take the order online if the shop is close, waste of time, travel and everything. Of course the computer is in to be able to take the order online. Shameless.

Consistently good and always on time

The pizza are not better than those in the supermarket. The kitchen not visible and the personal doesn't seem happy at all. Dominos is on completely different level.

The pizzas are better than average, deep pan is lovely light bread base, very deep whilst still warm but with a very oily base. I love the tomato base on Hawaiian, super delicious 😋 These days I only get pizza from here as I drive past now because the delivery is so unreliable. Sometimes it is great but I have had delivery from here on a Friday, even having made the order online the night before, and still it's been over an hour and half. Great deals though, there's always a pizza for a tenner or less... Not sure what sort of atmosphere you would expect in a pizza take out waiting area. Everytime I have been there has been a a few non uniformed guys (sometimes even in flip flops!) just wandering into the kitchen area from outside chatting with the guys and then wandering out...What's that about?

Went to pickup a takeaway, was standing there for about 10 mins before a staff member came out, I could see my order just waiting, getting colder. Very frustrating, it not like they were not expecting me to come pick it up.

Disgusting customer service! I've ordered via the website, money taken from my account but order not received. I called the branch to further enquire only to be met with a RUDE and ABRUPT male member of staff who didn't listen to my reason for calling and put the phone down on me. Do not waste your hard earned money and steer clear!

Never ordering again from them ordered 2 pizzas for delivery online 50 minutes after ordering called store to be told another 50mins, Vikram a very rude and arrogant manger cancelled the order. 3 weeks later and no refund has been provided. Shocking customer service!

Some stupid service from these guys. Ordered cookie dough and pizza. The cookie doughs didn't have ice cream and the pizza toppings were stuck to the box and squashed to one side

Always get a great deal and value for money

Disgusting pizza. Manager is aggressive and has a terrible attitude. Shame as we've always had a great experience with Pizza Hut and their food. Not sure what they're doing wrong here but we won't be buying from here again.

Had food poisoning from this place last week. Myself and various members of the family were sick, and only the people who consumed the pizza were unwell. Complained about it but was assured that everything was cooked as it should be and nobody else complained that day. I won't be ordering from here anymore.

This Pizza Hut branch omg is actually a joke! They have days for good and bad pizzas🤦🏽‍♀️ What put me off for the very last time, I ordered for peri peri chicken wings and I was sent a pink and smelling raw chicken wings, I called to make a complain and the staff told me that’s how their customers like it and they are aware of the ongoing complains😳😳😳 poisonous and straight to the bin. Worst pizza that we have had for long time. Texan BBQ did not have any BBQ sauce in it and the pan crust was as if it had been fried. This was the oiliest, fattest pizza ever seen/tasted. Money wasted tonight.

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Complained and they still managed to mess up the "compensation". Avoid likeVoivd if I were you.

What can I say. I’ve been eating Pizza Hut exclusively since I was 5 years old. After tonight’s experience, never again. Firstly the order arrived 30 minutes after designated delivery slot despite it being only 2 miles away. I specifically order from Pizza Hut due to the crispy base and crust of their pan pizza but this time, it was frankly s***. We were also missing our dips we ordered and when we opened one of the boxes, we saw what you now see in the photos - a pathetic excuse for a pizza. The person who made this probably didn’t have any thumbs because as you can see, they were very heavy handed on the tomato sauce and only managed to cover half the pizza with cheese. Pizza night has now turned into bread with tomato sauce night. Don’t order from St Albans if you are thinking of having a pizza. Order Domino’s.

The first delivery i had was for medium pizza. It was good because it was still hot when arrived. The service was good and you get what you pay for . 👍

Food is good which is why you go there but would be nice if you could get maybe even a small smile from staff there. None seem happy and it impacts on front of house when collecting. Cheer up guys you make some good food 👍😂

I think its important to support local businesses, so I thought I will try this branch, the gentleman at the counter was far more interested in chatting to his work colleagues rather than serving me, I waited around a minute or so and then just left.

Couldn't even place an order i rang up and was asked to hold for a minute got put on hold for so long I forgot I was on the phone when I rang back they didn't even answer, very disappointed

Worst Pizza Hut ever for the following reasons 1) Took 1 hour and 12 mins to arrive 2) The Pizza was cold, soggy and stuck to top of box 3) The driver was rude and unapologetic 4) The store do not answer the phone to even accept the complaint 5) Pizza Hut main customer services do not have decency to respond 6) Wrong toppings If you want a decent pizza in St Albans ring Papa Johns they deliver within 20 mins the pizza is fresh, tasty and cheaper.

Best place to order pizza never been disappointed and always gets delivered super fast within 15-25mins. Update: slowly starting to get slower on delivery so that's a downside got quoted 45 mins and its been now just over a hour food finally turned up

Ordered pizza for collection. Received pizza went home and pizza is wrong size wrong toppings etc. Called store several times atleast 7 times. They hung up three times without saying anything. They don't answer the phone for anything after 10pm. Have complained to corporate and want my money back. Haven't touched the pizza will deliver it back to them and film the response. They are infuriating. Take your money and they treat you like s***.

Improving all the time and last time ky order was right, which makes a change.

I don't normally waste time and energy on leaving bad reviews but it's not the first or even second time it happened. Order always arrives LATE. This time it took 50 minutes instead of quoted 15-25 so of course pizza arrived COLD. Before from the same location it took even 1,5 hours! I'm at work and I have to call each time to find what the story is. I'm also being called on the phone myself as the driver DOESN'T KNOW DIRECTIONS (and that's after so many visits as it's not just me ordering but there were corporate events too). Suggestion is: scrap your GPS devices and use Google because it shows perfect directions. Then I'm being asked to go outside to COLLECT it myself, NO APOLOGIES and NO RECEIPT (had to ask for it). Pizza not only cold but also UNCUT as always. They haven't sharpened their knives for months! Me and my friends are switching to Papa Johns, Dominos or something else as it's not an Xbox or Playstation kind of choice, this is just pizza. I'm asking for a full refund please as a matter of principle.

The guy over charged me, was aware he overcharged me, but said he couldn't do anything about it as thats what the system charged. I chose 3 items from the £5 menu, he charged £16, had to get the manager to come explain it to him, I had enough and left with a refund, went to domino's and will go there in the future.

Good value if you can wade through the maze of special offers and day specific discounts and bogofs. The staff at this branch are pretty sensible in terms of interpreting the rules too.

Ordered two pizzas and a side to Sandridge and they never delivered it or answered the phone!

Delivered within 25mins to Sandridge. Ordered a couple of pizzas & a side. Pepperoni pizza was quite oily from the base. I rang the branch and spoke to Vikram who addressed the issue very efficiently & promptly and redelivered a fresh pizza within 20mins.

Pizza Hut still make the best pizza in my opinion and this branch (take away only though it may be) is always quick, efficient and friendly
