I had a great experience at the Pizza Hut in Newbury. I’ve been visiting Pizza Hut locations in various countries for over 10 years, and I’m consistently impressed by the high quality of the food and the excellent service across the board.

Still waiting over an hour after ordering… they say it’s been misplaced and need to make it .. additional wait time 15-20mins… not hopeful!

My food was never delivered I have cancelled the order now and want a full refund asap

It never arrived. Again. I’ve had more orders failed to be delivered from Pizza Hut than have ever actually arrived. I can’t believe I fell for it yet again!

I would like inform you London road Newbury Pizza Hut employees(name is Faisal if I am not his saying correct name) is very rude to talking to me if I am asking few queries regarding offer he is denied to answer me due to the loose my money £12 via SmartSpending, I am sure get this money from them but to be honest very personal hope you Pizza Hut higher management take action from him.

Terrible delivery/customer service, no one answers the phone. They don’t update with the message service or the tracking information can’t comment on quality as it’s still not arrived

Never arrived, they answered the phone the first time after 1 hour, over 2 hours later no show and no explanation, had to go elsewhere as we had a power cut.

Collection order - staff were really friendly and the food was made within 15 mins of ordering. Only criticism of the pizza is it's not quite as generous as its main competitors - but the deals are also cheaper. Shop was nice and clean too.

We ordered a Pepperoni and a Meat Supreme from here on Tuesday 11th. The Pizza's tasted vile and didn't smell to good either. The following day we had food poisoning. I will never order from here again!

Order took an hour to arrive, I called after watching the Uber driver tracker traverse half of Newbury, completely avoiding PHQ. Fair play to the person I spoke to requesting them to not hand the order to the driver as I would collect - he got another driver quickly on the case to expedite the issue, as it was clear the Uber driver was otherwise engaged. The pizza turned up about 5 minutes later. Given the food had been ready a while at this point, the pizzas where warm, not hot, my gluten free pizza resembling more rubber than dough. In addition one of the sides was supplied incorrectly - wedges instead of Mac n cheese. Given the late time and hunger levels we just ate what we had. The sides by this point were also only luke warm, which for wedges was less than ideal. The wings were more edible than the pizza. Given we have the luxury of paying £2.50 delivery these days, we'll be ordering for collection only in future. Unless we decide to just stick with Dominoes, who have provided a consistently reliable service. Also something to note, which also made me not bother to call about the incorrect side: the phone line is hit and miss as to whether you can get through. I'm presuming there are 2 possible lines you can get through on, one of them rings for a while and then has a BT recording stating that the call could not be completed. Which tbh only added to my general frustration. Sad times. Pizza Hut PHQ used to be pretty good.

App stated order had been delivered but arrived 53 minutes utes after this. Food was cold. Unable to contact the restaurant directly as no answer and then a message to say unable to connect. Very unhappy with both just eat and Pizza Hut.

Absolutely disgusted with Pizza Hut Newbury ordered pizza at 11.30am it arrived at 1.30pm after the tracker said it was due to arrive 12-12.10pm. 7 phone calls later, to be huffed and puffed at, no manager in store, they don’t have any delivery drivers till later in the day but happy to take my order and money, was waiting for an uber apparently. At 12.30pm it was only being cooked. When it finally arrived the boxes were soggy and food stone cold. Phoned back, ignored us three times and had to call on a different number. To get a refund we had to complete a form online, and wasn’t apologetic or even offered to send out fresh and hot food. He just said he didn’t have any drivers, as if it was our fault. Terrible service, terrible food!!

Order said it was delivered but it wasn’t so was left with no delivery

Used to receive good fast service and great food, but have stopped using them after the last 3 deliveries were appalling. We always ask for delivery ASAP, but the last 3 times we've been given estimated times of 30 to 45 mins. These times have been and gone, no updates, no reply despite calling over 30 times. Then being told it's been cancelled, then it turning up 3 hours later, dry and cold. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Don't know why it's suddenly gone down hill so badly.

This was ordered online and arrived in this condition! My order appears to have been dropped from a height or improperly positioned during delivery and was also undercooked. The cookie dough couldn't even satiate a mouse and was malformed into a blob/pieces. The manager was condescending and dismissive of my complaint and refused to send out another order; a refund was also refused.

Was very late had to call twice and was told different things each time. We had children waiting for their dinner and friends over for dinner.

Absolutely shocking ordered apparently been delivered,spoke to Newbury branch and the driver is on his way. That was over an hour ago and still no pizzas and no one is answering Newbury branch now

Ordered for delivery and looked at the tracker 40 minutes later it said it was still in the oven so thought it was probably burnt by then but yet still arrived cold. They don’t answer their phone either so I just wouldn’t bother ordering from them since when it did arrive it was an hour past the time it was supposed to.

Missing items. Unable to contact restaurant. Refund request through app absolute joke no idea if I’ll get a proper refund or just credit on the account.

Absolute shambles. Ordered online and waited an hour and nothing happened. Tried calling (12 times) with no answer. After 2 hours (from ordering) went down to find the shop closed, lights off, doors locked (oddly a bird was trapped inside repeatedly slamming itself into the door). Another hour or so later I received an email saying my order had been delivered, which of course it wasn’t. The only thing I could do was email and wait for a response (apparently within 48 hours). What a bizarre experience. Certainly won't be ordering from these clowns again. What a waste of time. Edit: and look at the totally unbothered non-personal generic response. I recieved an email reply nearly 72 hours later saying my refund will take up to another 3 days. No effort to make amends, no offer of a voucher code despite these being offered to anyone who's delivery is more than 40 minutes late. Mine didn't even turn up! I drove down to the shop to find it closed! Absolutely abysmal customer service. Laughable really, pathetic.

Well I'm shocked I haven't received a phone call back yet after me being in to the branch tonight due to one of their drivers driving like a twat and cutting me up and making me slam breaks on to then see him pull straight out into a main road and over taking other cars 😕😡 Driving past me on the wrong side of the road pulling in front of me. Hope I don't see you again because I may not try stopping I want a out come ASAP or I'll be back down. So I suggest I get a call Good job I wasn't getting food there

Scummy dirty never pick up the phone deliver food to the wrong address didn't get a response or my food this has happened twice now next time I'll be going down with my bat. Said was delivered at half past and I'm still calling them half hour later please avoid

it is Christmas Eve so not surprising that it's busy, but comms was pretty poor so I spent 45 minutes wondering where my (now lukewarm) dinner was.

Food was stone cold and delivered late

Ordered 2 large pizzas online, went to collect basically standing there looking at my pizzas for 5 minutes no service. Got home opened the pizzas and they they wer both clearly stale and very poorly made along with be cold. Returned with the pizzas for a refund. Explained everything to the staff member and he asked me to tap my card for a refund, checked my banking app and no refund, tried this again same result…then he told me he can’t do refunds …I asked why did you ask me twice to tap my card and all I got was a vacant look no explanation. The staff member obviously assumes I’d tap my card and leave !! Things went down hill from there. Another staff member then told me he was the assistant manager when he clearly wasn’t ( if he was he would’ve intervened earlier) I’d never use this place EVER AGAIN ! Absolutely avoid this place for sure .

Do not use this store. Our order didn't arrive after waiting 2 hours, we attempted to call the store several times with no answer. We drove to the store to see what's happening to find plenty of other people in the same boat. The service is appalling, we were told there was no manager, but another member of staff told the person who said that was the manager. The phone kept ringing constantly and they were not answering, presumably other people wondering where their order was. We then found out that our food was ready but was waiting on the side in the cold for over an hour. Getting a refund seems to be very difficult, if you order on the app you can't get a refund in store. Also the hygiene in the store is horrendous, which we've reported. So even if we did get our food there is no way I would've eaten it.

I ordered a pizza, still no sign of it an hour later. They don't pick up the phone, I will contact the company beyond the location. If you check the reviews before ordering you already did better than me.

Rubbish turned up late stone cold and a warm coke

We ordered at 5:20pm so the kids could have some for dinner. The ETA was 5:40-5:50pm which was good. The order changed to “being packed” around this time. Ok thats fine, it can be a little late. Started calling at 6:30pm as no food had arrived but there was no answer. Would have even collected at this point. Tried calling every few minutes till 7pm but no answer. The App even removed the tracker at this point. Figured it wasn’t going to come so made our own food and started putting the kids to bed. They called 10 minutes later asking about delivery, but we told them not to bother as the kids were in bed and the food would have been sitting somewhere for a while. Not sure whats happened, it used to be good, but all the reviews seem bad recently. Will have to switch to another company now.

I've ordered twice from here now and it goes threw uber eats each time and they cancelled my order each time. Pizza hut never answer there phones ??? Poor service

Food cold, wrong items delivered

We ordered delivery two pizzas. Shortly after ordering, I received a text message they canceled our order without reason. However, the browser online showed the order had been delivered. I called the store, and the man who answered said a driver was one minute away from our house. I asked why we received a canceled text. He said he was alone working, so he canceled our order. But at the same time a driver became available so he kept our order… without us knowing. The driver called wanting us to walk down the street to meet him and not deliver directly to our townhouse. We said no, and he returned the pizzas to the store. My husband was at the store at this point. He accepted the pizzas. I would have flat refused and asked for a refund. What a circus.

usually really good service :) but today we waited 20 minutes to get our order even taken and another 30 to recieve our order. the lady taking our order saw us walk into the store and yet again still kept us waiting as she simply turned around and ignored us :( when taking our order she stopped us midway through to talk to a delivery driver who had just walked in (?!) and we had to remind her of the sides we ordered as she put them on incorrectly:(

Not delivered at all we had to drive down to collect after it being like an 1 hour late however the staff were helpful and polite when we got there and got the food in the end

Said that the food is ready to collect but when I arrived at the restaurant they were only then handing the slip to the cooks to start making my order. This is not the first time I've had issues with this pizza hut, they often report delivery before the items are delivered. Further to this, as we arrived they were busy apologising to another customer for handing off their order to someone else, and had missed items from another person's order. That's 3 issues in a row. Absolutely shocking

I called the restaurant, to a rude woman who said my address wasn’t filled out, then proceeded to say my address ?? then backtracked and said she didn’t have it! She also said that no driver had accepted the order, and then hung up on me. I called again, she hung up again, then wouldn’t pick up any of my calls. Then said she would deliver at 5pm (an hour later) even though I ordered over 2 hrs ago, meaning 3hrs waiting for 1 pizza

My order never arrived, I want my money back immediately, every bit of it. A waste of my money and time. Appalling customer service as I have been waiting for a reply for over an hour. Will never be using your ridiculous app again, as I am worried I will spend even more money just to not get the correct service I am paying for. It says my order has been delivered, so please enlighten me as to who has my food because it definitely isn’t me. Outrageous service, shame on you.

At this moment I'm already waiting for my order 2 hours and 15 minutes. First delivery arrived after 1 hour and a half and was short one item, the rest was stone cold. Phoned the store, guy on the phone didn't seem to be too concerned. He said he'll send the replacement in 20 minutes. Hour and 20 minutes later it's still not here. When the driver arrives I am going to send it all back and order somewhere else. As to recommendation I'll say hell don't even try.

Waited over 2 hours for a pizza . Delivery guy turned up with the order all details for another person but had my pizza. Delivery guy really confused called the shop they were no help to him. Number the delivery driver had for other person not existent. Lost his head really and gave me the pizza he had

Pizza is the same as a £4 Tescos pizza, no ice cream on cookie, and delivery was marked as delivered when it wasn’t so I probably can’t get compensation for it.

Order should have been delivered by 9.10pm, called the supplier at 9.20pm as still no order, was told they will cook it again and it will be with me in 15 mins. 20 mins later driver arrived with the wrong order and told me it will be another 5 mins, it is now 9.52pm and still no order and no idea when or if it will be arriving

Was on par with a Super market premium pizza which would be £10 cheaper.

According to employee I spoke on the phone, they didn't t have drivers to delivery the pizza on time, but they didn't update probably the app. They must be more accurate when the pizza will be delivered exactly. Not, to just complete the order and say that the pizza delivered on time. If, for any reason, the pizza is delayed, they must say how long actually to be delivered. We cannot leave our job to look your driver all the time

Not worth for delivery orders. Estimated delivery time was 8:25 pm - 8:45 pm whereas cold pizza was delivered @9:10pm still there was no sense courtesy to say sorry for the delay instead the message from resturant they were on time . This is not a one-off instance multiples times in past they resturant has done this .

Took over an hour for the pizza and side to come and both were stone cold when they arrived. The driver apologised but I really should have turned away the food. It’s not a nice pizza to eat cold.

One pizza was undercooked, pretty sure without the normal cheese, the garlic bread was just cold bread with very little garlic. One pizza was great; just as ordered. But an hour late? That’s just not on is it? Such a shame. Hate to leave bad reviews, but what can I do?
