Pizza I ordered was not available..I had to compromise on something that I didn't wanted.

I ordered a pizza using the website. I was unable to track the delivery but I could see the ETA. At around 15:45 there was a message that said my pizza had arrived. I had not received it. I waited a few minutes because this is not the first time this has happened. I've had problems with the Shinfield Road branch before but they're the closest one to me. After a few minutes I called them and they said the driver was on his way. So I waited another 5 minutes. I called back and they said my pizza was delivered. I told them it had not and they told me the driver said he delivered it. I said I do not care what the driver is saying because I still don't have my order. The person on the phone said he needs to check with the driver and then hung up on me. I called back and got no answer. I called back again and this time the person who picked up claimed to be the driver told me he delivered the pizza to my address. At this point I'm very angry because I still don't have my order. He then says they will make the order again and send it. After arguing with the staff the last thing I wanted was for them to make me another pizza. They told me I need to send an email to get a refund.

Ordered a pizza from u guys Tuesday next day had severe food poisoning and stomach cramps never coming back again obviously hygiene issues

Pizza hut charged us for the cold drink for the order number 9461 Dated ( 28-May) ,however they did not send the cold drink in the order. When contacted they said that it is not there responsibility to see whether order is completed or not , they simply said this is Deliveroo responsibility and denied Refund. What a shame ? This is simply overcharging the customer and not refunding the amount for which services/goods are not given.

Absolutely awful! We ordered 2 cadburys caramel cookie doughs and 1 Ben and jerrys cookie dough ice cream, they sent us white chocolate caramel cookie dough and brownie ice cream! Called to let them know they’d sent us the complete wrong order to be told that they haven’t done what we ordered for weeks now! The man on the phone did not care one bit and said they won’t take them off their menu despite them not even selling them anymore!

Pizza was ok, but only half of it had cheese on, 1 star because it Gave me and my neighbour a bad stomach!! Definitely bad hygiene/preparation issues or food was contaminated! Will NEVER eat here again

Nice and easy to get to and parking is much easier than the Oxford Road one. The pizza was up to scratch to Pizza Hut's normal standard.

Awful service.. order was suppose to be delivered an hour ago. Tried calling the branch, no response.. finally after 30 mins and multiple attempts, someone answered the phone to update me that they are short staffed… btw, the pizza didnt arrive yet.. Please close the branch or employ more people..

Awful service ..made a delivery order on Saturday at 5.50pm with an estimated delivery time of between 6.20pm and 6.30pm. Delivery arrived at 7.15pm..no apology and food was cold. Tried to contact branch but phone was engaged continually, so instead I emailed customer service (which is a joke as well) and got a reply basically saying time provided was an estimate and totally ignored my point about no apology and that food was cold, and they signed off hoping to see me again. They will never see me again, and I will take my business elsewhere, where customers are seen as important, and its not just about money and customers just being a number...shame there isn't the option for ZERO stars because that's all they are worth.!!

A horrible experience and will not be ordering from this location again. Food took 1.5 hours to be delivered while we were quoted 30mins. Food arrived cold and we were given BBQ chicken instead of peri peri wings as our side. There was no apology for being late and the restaurant did not answer our calls either in spite of trying multiple times. In hindsight I should have checked other reviews before ordering as I can see many reviewers have unfortunately had the same experience as us.

Ordered pizza for delivery, tracking showed that the pizza was being packed at 19:30, but 20 minutes later still no sign of the delivery. Attempted to phone the store but they weren't answering their phones, so as it is very close by I decided to walk over to get an update on my order. By the time I got to the store my pizza had just been sent out for delivery, so it had been sitting going cold for 30 minutes. But this is where things really fall apart, despite ordering via the Pizza Hut app the order was being fulfilled via Deliveroo. This store does not have enough delivery drivers, so is instead placing orders they have received on Deliveroo so they can use their drivers. This effectively means that any problems are dumped on Deliveroo to deal with, and because I was out when delivery was finally attempted I was contacted by Deliveroos customer services. Given at this point the food would have been cold even if had been there to receive it I asked for a refund. The person who claimed to be the manager said that refunds could only be processed via customer services. This contradicts the information on Pizza Hut's own website that states that refunds can be issued in-store. Still, it least it meant that in asking for a refund I could let customer services know just how poor this branch is. Clearly this branch is being run by people who do not appear to be capable of running a food delivery service in an efficient manner, and the entire experience this evening has been so poor that I will not use any branch of Pizza Hut again.

Why is this place still open?? I’m so gutted I didn’t read the reviews before hand… Im good with spicy food but the Spicy pepperoni pizza and wedges were both covered in chilli flakes - not edible at all!!! It’s as if they accidentally spilled the chilli flakes but couldn’t be bothered to remove it or do anything about it. Had to scrape off the chilli flakes just to eat it and it was still spicy… waited 40 mins for a pizza that’s not edible!! Called them to ask for a refund but no answer! Never again…

Very honest people. By accident, l paid for my order twice, online by card and then by cash. Got a phone call after 10 minutes from Isa to inform me about this. Both him and the delivery driver have shown a great level of honesty. Thank you so much. Also, the pizza was delicious. Will order again in the future

If this PH sold charcoal then fantastic! However, they apparently sell pizza. No pizza arrived… just charcoal. Give me my money back!

Lovely service and staff was very friendly. I made a mistake on my order but the staff changed it without a fuss and really quickly. Driver delivered a hot pizza with a wonderful attitude. I will definitely order again

Happy customer and great service, was told my order would be well over an hour due to how busy they were, and to my surprise my order was with me within 35 minutes thanks to Freddie for making it so speedy, pizza was hot and the ice cream still frozen very happy

Worst response. Ordered pizza for delivery on 17-Sep-21 at 9PM but they didnt deliver until 10.30PM. Around 11.15PM I called them multiple times to cancel the order but no response. I would not recommend this hut. Now dont know, how to get my money back.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Ordered food at 8pm, it's now 10:45pm. Tried to call the store multiple times to chase the order but nobody would pick up. There's a distinct lack of a real order tracking feature so we've been waiting nearly 3 hours thinking it could just be around the corner (which it started at, as we live 10 minutes away from this branch). I could have bred, raised and milked a cow for the milk, turn it into cheese and make a pizza myself quicker than these jokers can.

I ordered a salad to go with my pizza as a side...only to my surprise, it came in a packaged container (dry leaf salad) you would pick up from tesco, with it being a day out of date already, and have not been able to contact them via phone to vent my complaint...appaling business acumen from a top corp...will not be ordering from here AGAIN

I just ordered two pizzas both had to have peppers for one I even paid extra for them not ,to mention that they didn't put any red onions on one of them

I was absolutely disgusted to see several staff members in the kitchen working directly over pizzas with their masks down under the chins, and not wearing gloves and without any hand sanitiser nearby. This is a public health violation during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially given the current threat of new variants, and puts everyone at risk. Hygiene should always be the top priority for a restaurant.

Incredibly Rude from the start, hung up on me when i said i may want to change my order 30 seconds later. and refuses my calls. Horrendous service. WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Uncooked pizza delivered. Called them back and they promised us free pizza for ordering next time. Called to order few weeks later, and they had no record on their systems of the phone call or the order number! Incompetence and fiddlers to the max!

Ordered my food and when it come was half missing. when phoned up was told would be 1 hour to get other half of order to you. When I explained this isn't good enough I was told tough if I want better service order somewhere else.

Found a long black hair in our pizza.I only give 2 stars because I work in hospitality and know it can happen,but still,made me discusted and had to trow away the leftover as couldn't even think of touching it again.

Ordered a farmhouse gluten free, recieved the wrong base so couldnt eat it. The base didn't look right as it is described as being square and was obviously round as shown in my photograph. Luckily i noticed it wasn't right otherwise it could have caused a serious issue. As it stands I am just £15.99 out of pocket. I ordered through Deliverio so no obvious way to contact the restaurant.

Pizza was excelent, in time, no problems

Ordered pizza's at 6:30pm and arrived late at 7:30pm cold and burnt. Called delivery guy to take the pizza's back. He said that he would bring replacement pizza's but never returned. Called the Shinfield branch a few times but no one picks up. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again.

We have received pizza with paper inside the pizza and we have called pizza hut shinfield reading.They didn't even bothered and put us in hold for half hour and hang up later.We were not expecting much,just a apology.

Last three times the food has been late but much worse than that cold and overcooked. I can only imagine that this is a franchise who are not observing Pizza Hut standards . Will not use this branch again

Average Pizza, doesn't take long for pickup, but takes forever for delivery. I live about 3 mins away and was incredibly ill once so I ordered in. After nearly 2 hours, I went there (sick as you like), and the pizza hadn't even been taken for delivery yet so I took it home myself.

Order at around 10. No confirmation of order. Called the branch to see if it had been confirmed and if pizzas were being delivered, no answer after multiple attempts. Finally got a call at around 11:15 from a “delivery driver” had no idea where I lived (considering I live in Shinfield). Gave direction as best I could to deliver to my flat. After nearly half an hour of called and conversation, the guy hung up on me and never answered my calls after. Terrible services and I was charged for this too! Yet we then order Farm House Pizza after which came in half the time, the driver calls as soon as he struggled to fined us and got to us with no issues!

Pizza arrived slightly late past the 45 min mark but was warm and delicious and so were the extras.

Ordered at 7, pizza arrived cold at 9:20, an hour 45 mins over delivery time. The kicker is we live a 15 min walk away, not sure what took delivery so long. Called twice and got "it's on the way" before they hung up. Because of the long wait we ended up missing our cinema booking so lost nearly £70 total. Was offered a 10% off our next order voucher. Contacted customer service the next day, got "you'll hear from us in 3 days". A month later I got a message saying they'll pass it on to management and I'll hear back in 3 days. Over 2 weeks later, still nothing. Still waiting for a refund two months after I contacted them. Terrible service and food. If I could give 0 stars I would, don't waste your time or money.

Ordered veggie pizza, to be honest it just lots of tomatoes added, it was nice previously but now days quality is lowered. Even though there is no dip sauce, which all pizza stores give one free and charge if we need extra. Never visit again, will go my favorite Dominos. I dont know how this review matters as no one from owner responding to these reviews.

Saturday 9th Feb 2019, ordered a pizza online at 2.45pm for delivery by 5.15pm. Yes...that’s a two and a half hours notice for this place to deliver the pizza. Even a place with this many negative reviews would be able to accomplish that. You’d think there would be at least person who works at this place who was the proud owner of a brain cell who’d be able to make sure there were no issues. Alas, that wasn’t to be the case. Rang up at 5.30pm, some clown informed me the driver should be there any minute. I asked for an explanation as to how with 2 and a half hours they were still late? Was told they were unprecedentedly busy, delivery had to be grouped together etc etc the usual BS. Food turned up, cold and not very edible. Was told a £10 voucher would be sent via email as an apology. Still not received it, not that I’ll be using this place again.

Online order placed at 8.27pm, website said 45-55 min. It is now 10.10pm and still hasn't arrived. Tried to phone several times but they don't answer. Appreciate its going to be a busy night with a big boxing fight on but still this is unacceptable. Fight about to start and they close in half hour - what do I do??? UPDATE- So, I went to pick up my pizza. Joined the queue of other disgruntled customers. Speaking to them and one had placed his order online and 7.30pm! I was refused a refund, they just offered a voucher. I decided to wait it out. Got talking to a young lady who had ordered at 7.45pm and by this time had been waiting in store for 45min. She asked the staff member how much longer and he checked. He then checked and came back to tell her that they had delivered it! I presume she didn't have her phone with her for family to call her. The first staff member had hid around the corner by the delivery drivers entrance by this point. They had eventually brought my pizza out to me which I checked. And what a surprise that the toppings were not what I had ordered. Idiots. There was no way I was giving the pizza back by this stage so left with what I had. As I left, I could clearly see 3 staff members hiding in the drivers entrance laughing at us poor customers. I actually felt sorry for them before that as they are just the minions in this disaster of a store. Got home, potato wedges were cold and not edible. Wife wasn't happy with the pizza toppings and worst of all - I accidentally heard the boxing result on the radio whilst driving home! Thanks pizza Hut.

Rancid service, food and general experience. Pizza hut need to employ people that actually care about the food they make. This was the worst I have ever had from Pizza hut. Took 1.5 hours to deliver a COLD pizza that had clearly been dropped! That girl that answers the phone has clearly worked there for too long, reading other reviews looks like she uses the "we are too busy" line far too oftern.

It took them 2 hours to deliver my food and when the delivery guy finally arrived he did not know which was my order among two! Not to mention that when my pizza arrived it was cold!

Order arrived after an hour and a half, items missing from order, was told by the driving I’d receive them “next time he was in the area” which is no good to anyone? To rectify this, Pizza Hut sent me a £10 voucher which is only redeemable in store, not online. And I’ve not received or been refunded for the missing items? Honestly, never again. Papa johns is only a few doors down and The worst I’ve had there is a missing dip.

We waited 45 mins on the phone, as the official pizza hut website said we needed to call for our meal, they told us to order online and hung up, I called again shortly telling them the exact message I received online, they put me on hold for 5 mins then hung up. We called again for the woman to hang up immediately when I spoke (she must have recognised my voice). We already know this place is bad. Pizza hut just lost two paying customers.

Go here regularly and have never had a problem, last night I ordered a veggie pizza and it had meat in it. Specifically what I think was bacon and sausage so if you don't eat meat or pork I would go as they don't seem to take much care when preparing the food.

Ordered pizza online at 5pm for delivery at 730pm. Got a call at 725pm saying we are really busy it'll be delivered at 745pm. Ok. I will accept that even though they have had 2.5hours. No pizza at 755pm. Called, told we are really busy and it's on the way. I don't accept that they have had so much notice. Pizza turns up at 8pm. 1 pizza ok. Veg supreme and chicken supreme wet and soggy bases. Haven't been cooked. Wait 2.5hrs 30mins late and then not cooked. No manager around just lots of apologies. I don't deserve late pizza not cooked. Kids have had to eat something else and I have had to finish cooking pizzas. Not fair and taken my money for the pleasure. Do not order from here. Look at all the 1 star reviews. Stay away. Waiting on manager to call me back. Won't let this go. Not fair, not acceptable.

I had a bad experience a few years back where the food took hours to arrive and it was hard to get hold of them. When I did there was no remorse. We tried them again today and I was impressed, the food was late again even though I pre-booked a time. Again, no remorse, the driver nearly forgot some food (he only went back to the car when I prompted) and the food was average. I feel like we got off lightly and won’t be risking it again.
