Pizza Hut in Mendip

It was helpful service with a smile, the food arrived very quickly to the table and it was to the standard that we expect from the chain. Always enjoy the salad buffet. Plenty of onsite parking and a decent tip rounded it off.

We visited as part of my daughter's birthday celebrations and this was a real disappointment. The service was very poor. None of the staff looked like they wanted to be there, including the manager. My partner and son had already sat for 20 minutes without even being offered a drink! You just shouldn't have to be kept waiting every time you want something. There seemed to be very few staff serving and their speed can at best be described as glacial. We waited for forty minutes for our last dessert. A party with children needs to be fed quickly otherwise they can start to fidget and get noisy which is what started to happen. No-one came over to ask us how our food was or whether we needed anything. The salads were particularly poor. We didn't leave a tip and the star is only there because otherwise you can't leave a review.

Helpful, freindly staff with all Covid precautions adhered to. Pizza was very nice however the coleslaw, potato salad and green salad were disappointingly bland. Overall the service and food were good but the sides need some improving.

Food was ok as you can expect from all pizza hut chains. The problem we had was the rude and awful service from the waitresses. Rude, abrupt, unhelpful, like they didn't want to be there or us to be there! I felt we were a burden to them. Would never go back even if they paid me to eat there!

We were having building work done and needed to escape. We decided on Pizza Hut for lunch and we were very satisfied. The pepperoni pizza was very good, accompanied by nachos, garlic bread and salad plus a drink. Cost £15.95. Good deal and enough for us to share.

Busy day - we needed to eat out at lunch time. Both of us had pizza, these were fine. Service rather slow, no serving staff for several minutes when we were ready to place our order.

I have absolutely no qualms about the food, don’t get me wrong, it’s amazing. However, we had not even been sat down for three minutes and we were asked for our food order. This is good speedy service however may need to leave it a little longer for guests to settle in. We ordered two courses so had a starter and a main (both being delicious) but we received the main before we were even halfway through our starter so main had to sit going cold waiting to finish the starters. Bathrooms clean and fine apart from the fact that all sinks are incredibly low to the ground and the soap dispensers are almost millimetres away from the edge of the basin making it hard to get hands under to get the right amount of soap to wash hands with. Other than this we had a lovely trip.

An unplanned tea with a friend and our kids (6 of is in total). Arrived at Pizza hut just before 7pm. Asked for a table for 6 to which we were asked if we had booked. We said no, the young man said we'll anything over 4 people needs to be book ed but I guess I can fitell you in. The restaurant wasn't even half full and only a group of 3 came in after us. We were seated the glassedge section of the restaurant and we're blasted but the cold air conditioning when I said it was cold the male member of staff said he thought it was lovely to which it replied not when you are just sat waiting for food it's very cold. The young lady who took our order was very pleasant and polite but her hair was a mess and as she is working in a catering environment her hair should have been tied back in a tidy fashion not with long strands around her face. The food was fine when it came but had to ask for the children's puddings that had been ordered. Came out feeling very cold, couldn't wait to get home to warm up.

Well we were quite disappointed on our visit here. The food was average and the salad bar was bare. Quite expensive also for what we had.

We visited frome Pizza Hut expecting a speedy visit as we had to be somewhere, making it not a superior fast food restaurant. We had finished our food, and then our waiter (Joe/Joel - sorry can’t remember names) brought the bill over without us even asking for it. We then had to wait an excessive amount of time to pay for the bill - where I showed discount off and didn’t receive it, so ended up paying the full price. Will not be returning and do not recommend at all. McDonald’s is defiantly a superior fast food restaurant.

I've visited Frome Pizza Hut on a number of occasions with family and/or friends. Each time I have visited the staff have been very friendly and welcoming to the restaurant. Food is always delicious and arrives quickly:) Staff can never do enough for you and this is why I always return!! Joel was our server and he is a fantastic team member. Would definitely recommend visiting this Pizza Hut. You will not be disappointed.

As a treat for the children we popped to Pizza Hut, we expected it to be fairly quiet on Boxing Day but this place was very empty with a couple and a family with 2 young children, although we’ve eaten here a a few times we’ve complained before but benefit of the doubt thought it couldn’t possibly be bad again. We chose a seat plenty to choose the young girl brought menus she returned to take our order and explained the meal deal for children. Our order consisted of 2 kids meal deal a side order and 2 flatbread pizzas, not too difficult you would think. After waiting 35 mins I called over to ask how long the food would be, I will check was the reply and returned to say not long. The sides arrived and kids pizzas. I tried a chip it was hard and cold as were the onion rings! As our flatbread arrived I grumbled about the sides which were removed and told more would be done. Tucking into flatbread the knife wouldn’t cut through as I picked it up to eat this was also cold along with hubbys!! Called the waiter he apologised and asked if we’d like another one done so asked how long it would be 6.5 mins!! Why have we had to wait 35 mins + for it in the first place and then for it to be cold! More apologies not his fault and felt for him. Fresh arrived and this time it was much better, we were told the bill would be covered which we were grateful for however this is not what you want. I’m afraid Pizza Hut you need to sort your kitchen staff out, the quality was appalling the young waitress was very quick to clear our plates even though we still had food so maybe a lesson in correct table service as well, will we return I very much doubt it!! A complete and utter sham of a place how on earth they would cope with a full restaurant raises question!!!

I came to Pizza Hut with my sisters & nephews, the young man who seated us was lovely and so friendly. We ordered our food, it came our reasonably quickly. My pizza was really delicious, the young server helped my nephew when he was feeling sad & stopped him from crying, his personality was great and made us laugh. All over our experience was really good. I really enjoyed it and will be coming back. Thanks for having us! :-)

The food is always nice but we rarely visit as its just so expensive. We also have a discount card but getting them to accept it is a mission. There is always a get out clause on the day as to why you can't use it, they either except it and are part of the scheme or they aren't, that needs sorting. Staff however are always polite.

Visited at lunchtime for a pizza each. Offered free unlimited salad, although selection of salad not that great. Pizzas fine and a very helpful server - TimL

We went to Frome Pizza Hut Sunday. We soon discovered that we were not the only customers confused by the wording of the new menu and the waitress did not understand it either. She did not seem too bothered about finding another member of staff to help. Within 10 minuets of arriving, we left!

We enjoyed Pizza Hut the staff were very friendly and attentive could not fault the two waitresses they did well to manage with just the two of them.

I had the misfortune to eat in in the Frome Pizza Hut on Saturday.

Cold pizza, no ice cream, incompetent staff. Not hard to get it right but they failed. Would not visit here again

Really mixed review of this place

Everything you come to expect from Pizza Hut. The buffet was great value with plenty of choice. Satff were friendly and efficient.

Politely welcomed by a young and courteous staff; quickly served food. Very nice pizzas, particularly well presented and a good eat-as-much-as-you-can salad bar. Building a tad tired in places but we had a good, relaxing meal for 7.

Visited here on a Friday evening, we were seated quite quickly. The stores music was a bit loud for having a conversation with the person opposite you at the table. The staff were friendly but seemed rushed. Food of was served without to much waiting (Salad bar needed more attention than it got, it was fairly empty the whole time). This is the only Pizza Hut I've been to where our left over Pizza wasn't put in a box for us to take away! The table was cleared and the remaining Pizza just disappeared!!

All the food was prepared fresh and served hot. Service was friendly and efficient. We eat around 6pm and the wait was not to bad.

Had a BOGOF voucher to use - good reason to eat at Pizza Hut! Restaurant very quiet (we were the only customers for the first 20 minutes), excellent service (server JackW) and pizzas/drinks were very good.

No muy concurrido en la noche nos fuimos. Ensalada media bar vacío y tuve que pedir a rellenar. Pedimos dos pizzas grandes. Estos le faltaba completar y era tan pastoso. Sólo comimos 2 rebanadas ya no era agradable. Nos arrepentimos de nuestra visita pizza express...

Came here on Easter Sunday with the family, we had other family visiting us from up north and they chose to come here for choice of food, we have been here without them 3 other times before this too and each time it's the same, dirty glasses with lipstick on, lip print and even food left on, first plates again with food on, the salad part isn't always topped up and twice I seen another costumer asking the staff to top it up after 4 of them was just gossiping round the till (this was not on Easter Sunday) you ALWAYS see staff on the brake and they sit at a table with their feet up and on their phones watching everyone (this did happen on Easter Sunday) toilet are dirty and music can be really loud sometimes, I like Pizza Hut but we do try to avoid coming to this one

Been here a few times . The food is always piping hot and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Under cooked chips, cheap tasting pizza.Run down, seats worn and torn, sticky tables.Expensive for what it is.

I don't go to Pizza Hut very much because it works out expensive for a family of five. We had a treat for my daughters birthday today. The food was lovely I can't complain about anything. The salad bar and unlimited drinks works well for children. The waiter we had was lovely and helpful. My only issue is that it's so cold in there! You have to keep your coats on to eat! Which is hard when in January your wearing winter coats!

Stopped off whilst shopping in frome. Nice clean restaurant, service was excellent. We had the set meal deal which was excellent value and tasty. No complaints and will return

We made an order online, they missed off 3 things off our order which made up £15 of the order. We rang up to see what they could do and they said they'd call us back. This is not the first bad experience I have had in this particular resturant. I went there before and they 'forgot' to put our order through. No wonder its never busy.

I have visited twice & it has been 100% consistent ...... Totally & utterly dire. Never, never never again will I cross the door of this establishmentFood was dire. Salad bar nachos were soggy, stale & in very short supply. Pizza has greasy, flavourless & very sparse toppings with no flavour or texture. Key lime pie was green ... no flavour excluding the vegetable oil based simulated cream toppingService, while very pleasant, was totally uncoordinated. Busy fools of children, with no knowledge of their menu or any sign of managementHow do you mess something so simple up so badly ??

Meal was good. Service fast. Restaurant was very clean. The kids shared a meal between them and there was plenty. We love a salad bar and unlimited drinks. Bargain bill at £30 for 4 of us.

Worst pizza Hut I've been too.Toilets hadn't been cleaned in ages, floors sticky, door locks broken and dryers not working.Crisps, bread sticks etc on salad bar were stale. Staff repeatedly asked if we wanted to take food home despite us still eating. Brought us our bill before we had even asked for it and we were going to order more items.Then to top it all off I was throwing up that night after clearly being poisoned here. Would never visit again!

I stopped here with my husband and 3 boys for tea after a day out on 14th August we booked online and when we arrived we were quickly shown to our table. The staff were very friendly and the food was great and we didn't have to wait long either. Good selection of pizzas fresh salad bar and refillable drinks our boys also enjoyed helping themselves to icecream for dessert. Would Def recommend.

Never been to Pizza Hut before. I was impressed with the pizza, particularly with my dietary requirement.However, we were asked if we had finished despite it being obvious one of us was still eating.There was no toilet paper in the men's toilets.

This is the second time within a month I went to this place with my friends and twice very disappointing with regards to food service. On first occasion we ordered a starter to share and then couple pizzas. The pizzas arrived within seconds from the starter which means we had too much food on the table going cold. The second time my friend and I specifically asked for the pizzas to be cooked once we finished our starter. The lad taking the order was as good as gold and we were certain he understood however the pizza still arrived few minutes after the starter. Very disappointed as it meant the pizza was soggy and barely warm. This seems to be a general problem with the kitchen and not waiting staff. If anywhere else you order a starter, you do not expect your main cours to arrive at the same time!!! Very poor!!! Get a grip Pizza Hut!!!

We ate here while staying in the area after attending the Bath & West Show so wanted something warm and quick. This fitted the bill perfectly!The restaurant is nice and airy, could be cleaner but it was OK. The staff were attentive and happy in their jobs, which is nice. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the food didn't take long to arrive. When it did it was hot and tasty and we really enjoyed our meal.We only visit this area about once a year but this restaurant has been added to our 'go to' list of eateries for when we are here!

Came here with my husband and daughter for a quick dinner the staff were lovely and attentive. food was great couldn't ask for better service ! Highly recommend

Needed a meal at lunchtime before going shopping. Arrived there soon after 12.00 noon, very quiet, Very good service (served by Brittany), yummy pizzas, couldn't fault the meal.

Nice food, not greasy like some, salad bar refreshed regularly, and a very clean restaurant ! I hope a manager or owner reads this, because you should be very proud of the girls who were working on Sunday 24/04/16, a young disabled girl came into the restaurant with her father, she was treated the same as any other child, there was no arguing over who served them and there was no extra special treatment, which I think was a marvellous thing, all too often disabled people are treated as special cases. I'm so glad the staff were so respectful

1215hrs - good time of day to eat at Frome's Pizza Hut, few other customers so no delay in ordering food and was delivered to table as soon as we had finished our salad course. Usual nicely presented and tasty meat feast pizza.

We have tried Pizza Hut once or twice but we struggle to get stuff that the kids enjoy in their portions - so easier to go to other take outs - the take away service was not that great - so wont be back.

Had a 41% off voucher from Pizza Hut - couldn't resist using it! Very nicely presented meal, excellent service, pleasant server. Very quiet on our visit - 1200 noon mid-week.

Service was a bit slow but the food was lovely. We had a mixed selection of food and if it needed to be hot, it was. Everything seemed fresh and the place was clean and tidy.

Today we had a fab visit to Pizza Hut. We were greeted by a very friendly young guy who was lovely intact all the staff were lovely and friendly. Very prompt service and lovely food. Well done Pizza Hut, I've visited this one numerous times over the years but this by far was the best visit. One negative is the toilets are disgusting loo roll all on the floor dust on the sanitary bins and grime in the corners near the cubical doors. Broken toilet seat and a very impractical soap dispenser this requires more monitoring and a good clean up.

Came here on bank holiday Monday no bowls for salad at table only one fork on our table had to request one. Food was lovely can't fault it, it's been about 2 years since I last came & since I last came & now they have different size pizza just 2 now individual & sharing so basically small & large our bill was £29.50 for 1 small & 1 large pizzas & 1 bowl of free salad & 2 pepsi's that to me is way overpriced. Service was ok but young waitress was a little keen to give us the bill while we was finishing our drinks then came back few mins later saying do you want to pay now & get it over with!! She may aswell have said pay & get out as we need table. Overall food good, service ok & prices not great so beware if you take a small party it will cost the earth!

Went in for lunch and left disappointed. My sons pizza came out and had exploded in the oven. We we're told that it always happens and that they'd try again but it would probably look the same! So Pizza Hut can't cook a pizza??!!We ordered a large pizza for my husband and I to share. It was ok I suppose but felt like it had been reheated not cooked from fresh. The kids we're looking forward to the ice cream factory but it was broken and had been for weeks, so they said. All in all left feeling disappointed and in no hurry to return to any Pizza Hut

Usual excellent Pizza Hut standard and 5* food hygiene rating with very friendly staff, visited here twice on two different occasions and whilst it is usually very busy the service is always 100%. Plenty of parking also which is ideal for anyone visiting on holiday.

If you want to enjoy a quiet meal, try Frome's Pizza Hut when they open at 12.00 (but not weekends or school holidays!). Very pleasant server (Joshua R), nicely cooked pizzas, only (minor) grouse - no sultanas available with salad.

We had a lovely meal for four on a Sunday afternoon. Julie was a very polite waitress, he was attentive and funny. Good quality food at a nice price.

promise my daughter a treat so passing though Frome decided to go to the Hut. Got inside that look pretty quite for a hut. We stood by the door for five minutes before a lady come up to us. And said "unfortunately we have no tables" not even a sorry. Half the tables was empty not even laid up for people. Ask about the empty tables and was told they're not being served on. So we left very unhappy. I ended up going 22 miles more out my way to yeovil to uphold my treat to my daughter. When arriving they looked very busy thinking no hope in hell of a table the young lady said no problem give me 5 minutes I'll have a table for you. What a difference between two huts Frome you need to take a leave out of yeovil book. Don't think you would cope if you work in yeovil

Arrived at the Pizza Hut at 2.00pm on Wednesday, greeted by a helpful trainee (Josh). Much to our surprise, no other customers in the restaurant - and it remained empty for the whole time that we were there! Bliss - no hyperactive children charging around!!The meal was very good and service was top notch.

My wife and I had a day out with our granddaughter in Devon and decided to call into Pizza Hut on our journey home for a meal. Good service, pleasant servers (mother and daughter!), food fine, but one downside - my wife and I ordered Salmon Pasta Bake and lasagne arrived at the table! Very apologetic for getting order wrong, the most annoying factor for us was a further 15- minute wait for the correct main course to be cooked and served.

Well how do i start Verry bad service, they got the order wrong, salad bowls were left on our table for 2 hoursAnd i had to ask for the table to be cleard, over charged for drinks and ice cream that was not ordered. And there was only 6 other couples in the restaurant so after £178 of my money i wont be going back any time soon if at all. poor

We went to ,Pizza Hut at first just to have a meeting and quick informal lunch, We arrived just as they opened were greeted immediately by a cheerful chatty waitress who let us chose our table Then she gave us 5 minutes to sort our selves out before presenting the menus Really pleasant young lady but also efficient our order was taken and the coffees we asked for while we waited arrived in minutes.While waiting we saw the manager keeping a close eye on all proceedings and then he proceeded to diligently check the buffet and every food item was checked with the thermometer Well done no wonder they get a full 5 star food hygiene ratingOur food arrived piping hot and again full smile with the serviceMust say I am not a huge fan of fast food but admit we have ben there 3 times in the last 2 months and were greeted each time by different members of staff equally as well as on the first occasion I am in the catering trade and have been employed in the past by several companies as a mystery diner and only wish every place was as diligent and customer orientated as this place WELL DONE TO PIZZA HUT FROME

Up to their usual excellent standard, we enjoyed 2 pizzas - one BBQ Americano and 1 Hawaiian - at lunchtime today. Only (very minor) downside - lots of noisy children in restaurant - but it is half-term!

I have to start by saying I don't like writing bad reviews but feel I should on this occasion. I manage a pub restaurant and was left practically speechless by what happened to my family following a recent visit to Frome Pizza Hut. Over the past 10 years I have visited this place many times and I have to say that since a management change a few years ago everything had changed for the better however on my last visit I have had to rethink my opinion. We normally phone and book when there's a large group whereever we go but the last time we tried to book here we were told that they didn't take bookings if it's within 24 hours of the visit ?? So as it was a last minute thing we decided to risk it. There were 10 of us in total 5 adults and 5 kids and when we arrived there was not a single customer in the building. The young lad who greeted us seemed a little confused when we asked him for a table for 10. There was a large table down the centre of the restaurant laid up for a big group, but apart from that no one else there. After a minute or 2 the waiter called down the manager who put a couple of tables together and we were seated. We opted for the buffet which was on for another 45 mins however there was no pizzas on the buffet. After about 20 minutes the pizzas started to arrive at the buffet but so had another 30 or so customers so as soon as anything was put out it was gone before you had a chance to get any. We watched as the restaurant filled up but half of it (round by the spiral stairs remained empty). The staff then started turning away people saying there was only 3 staff on despite half the tables remaining empty?? We then watched a table of 4 arrive and asked to wait by the front door till a table became empty still with half the tables being empty?? Then a member of staff came and asked how long we were going to be as they had people waiting!!!! Did i mention that half the restaurant was empty!!!! I cannot believe that a business such as pizza hut is so successful that they turn customers away even when half the place is empty. So disappointed as what little food we did get was quite good.

Shopping in Bath during the afternoon, we decided to stop at Frome Pizza Hut on our return home, to save cooking a meal. Rather disappointed on three counts - we ordered an apple juice - "sorry, sold out" and a chocolate fudge gateau for sweet - "sorry, sold out" and we had to wait for over 15 minutes to be served with our sweet (even though the restaurant wasn't busy). We have eaten there on several previous occasions and have always rated them highly.

We visited to have a family meal and, as usual, it was good.The service was strong and the food was of good quality.
