Pizza Expresso in Leicester

Zero stars! I ordered on food hub and after an hour and a half got a phone call to say the food was outside, got to the door and they said the order has been cancelled and I had to pay again….. backwards and forwards over this for 10 minutes at the door knowing the food is going cold I paid again, then at the door the coleslaw was missing, so he gave me £1 back, then I got back in to cold food…. And to top it off. It’s the wrong pizza. Brilliant. So I’ve paid twice for cold food missing items and the wrong pizza. Cant make it up. Bring back the old owners, these new ones have ran it into the ground already. Shocking.

Worse people running it and disgusting food they serve no cleanliness and no taste

I ordered off of uber eats but the restaurant delivered it. It arrived 45 minutes late, cold, missing my drinks. The burger was horrible. Suppose to be blue cheese but tasted burned. And nothing but. The seafood pizza was raw in the middle and had tomatoes on top. Uber refunded me £4.30 for missing items despite the lot going in the bin because I don't trust any of it. Not even mentioning the multiple hairs in the burger.

A real shame. This used to be one of the nicest 'dirty pizza' places in Leicester. They now have new owners, and quality has gone down massively. Chips tasted like cardboard. Toppings were VERY stingy. Eg on a 6 slice hawaiian only 4 pieces of pineapple. Cheese lovers pizza had a very sad quantity of cheese. Also ordered chicken wings which were burnt with a clunky coating that was actively worse than kfc. Garlic mushrooms ordered and never arrived. Heartbroken as have been going Espresso for years. Avoid!

Food came in 2 hour wait Driver didn’t know the way And food came burnt

Pizzas are good. but i am sorry to say that the kabab meat was crunchy. so it an big no for me

Since the last owners have gone, this place has gone, downhill big-time no good hopefully next owners will pick it back up

Will never go back again used to be an amazing service and food till the new owners took over charging 1.60 for salt and vinegar on fries ....19.00 for two burgers and two chips

Ordered a sloppy joe and fries and as an English girl I can happily say I felt like it tasted how the movies looked it should have tasted felt like I was eating a real sloppy joe even tho i don’t know what it should be like it was so tasty enjoyed it very much thank you

No respect for trademark. Adding an O to Pizza Express is lazy.

This restaurant definitely has newer owners compared to past few years or new cooks, as this one burns food.

I ordered chicken pasat with some curry sauce I got this spaghetti with old chicken from the freezer and so much mayonnaise and curry sauce So salty and taste’s like any thing but pasta 🤦🏻

Got sent frozen desserts man told me to put it in the microwave and wouldn't give me a refund

It was dripping grease, the wrap was ruined and soggy. Its was doner, pepperoni and chicken as you can see they mean 1 chicken dipper. I will not be ordering again.

Piping hot, value for money, fast delivery, very fresh tatsing my daughter asked to buy from here again. Best chips from a take away and the salad pitta was made how I asked and lovely. Apple pie was amazing and the chocolate cake was a huge portion. I never leave reviews by the way that's how good it was. Fresh clean food and tastes amazing.

Very delicious pizza. We tried the Spicy Americano & pepperoni & cheese buy one 2nd free for £15.50 was worth it. They gave us complementary cheese roll which was taste too. I recommend this place. Its for take out only.

Order was placed at around 8:30pm and got the notification that food would be delivered between 9:15-9:35. Made the complaint and then got told food would arrive approximately 9:55. Still no food at 10:00 so I phone them up to which they said the food was on the way. When food arrived the Cheese and Tomato pizza was like eating cardboard. Luke warm as if it has been sitting in the microwave whilst the rest of the food cooked. Best thing from them was the chips! First time ordering from here and definitely the last. 👎👎

So disappointed. This takeaway is usually lovely, however tonight we have been massively let down. Was told takeaway was on its way at 8.40. Still hadn’t arrived by 9.05 (my address is only 10 minutes away) to be told they would contact the driver and ring me straight back. 10 minutes past, and I get a call back saying the driver is 3 minutes away. In actual fact, the food didn’t arrive for another 15 minutes, which was a whole 50 minutes late, and was terrible when it arrived. The chips were cold and soggy, and the pizzas were cold with very little topping on. Such a shame, very disappointed.

Excellent pizza as usual thy isn’t the zinger garlic bread on the menu or of my fav burger hints I know. You still. do. It too??

Best chips proper crispy , bit of a mix up with pizza but sent correct one out that i actually ordered , would recommend this place. Very friendly delivery driver also a bonus.

Ok i normally order from this place and only buy pizza because it is good. However the kebabs are disgusting amd they gave me burnt food. Plus they got the order wrong on a Monday night. All my other orders for pizza have been on saturday and have been fine. Something is clearly wrong here and they need to improve the quality checks before sending it out. Its a shame!

Food was yummy and reasonably priced. Delivery was a bit late, but the restaurant kept us updated on Just Eat so there wasn’t an issue. Would use again!

The food is usually 5* but they missed out the bbq/mayo on my chips that i’d paid extra for :(.

Not artisanal, hand made pizza. Just another generic, mass produced, average pizza. Terrible base, flavourless sauce and to salty, Twisty fries and poppers were nice.

Brilliant food!! It’s a shame that arrives late all the time! I’ve noticed that the restaurant is handing the order to delivery driver late. Usually, estimated time is 1 hour, but the food is not ready in time. However, this doesn’t stop us ordering again and again.

Can't quite explain it, just a good and fresh tasting food, you know when you pause after taking the first bite kind of good. The pizza isn't completely round so you know it's handmade and the ingredients are very good and taste fresh compared to dominos. Will definitely order again.

Took a while to get here and it was cold when it did. Driver was very polite though. Also says cheddar cheese on chips, but they used red leicester. Won't bother again.

The food was really nice. Very decent kebab, chips were hot and crunchy, salad was fresh. Very good. Did forget the drink in the meal though.

I have ordered from here for a long time but the service has been going down hill. Deliveries are nearly always late. The food doesn't seem to be to it's usual high standards. On this particular delivery i called up 15 minutes after it was supposed to arrive and was told it was on it's way but for the time it took to arrive from where the shop is located it must have not left as it took even longer than it would to drive to the shop so basically i was lied to. After years of loyal patronage i think i may be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Food is always nice here but I didnt like the tomato sauce on the garlic bread pizza, also burger buns could be cooked more. Apart from that the food is very nice and very tasty. But they do always take a while for delivery, this time was over 45 minutes longer than the original hour and with people hungry and getting grumpy I have to rate delivery poor this time. Sorry ..

Best pizzas in Leicester. I recommend Cheese Lovers Pizza and the seafood pizza was so so good today! Excellent pricing. We really enjoyed our meal and the staff actually reads any special notes. Thanks :-)

First time ordering with Expresso, I made a mistake with the delivery address so called to fix it. They were friendly and helpful. Food was slightly late but piping hot and delicious! We will be ordering again.

What drew me to this takeaway was the fact they delivered beer alongside food (24/jan/21 snowed in) so i decided to give them a go even though the food ratings were low on google . Anyway delivery guy turns up and hands me a bag , I open it and find stone Cold beer at the bottom with my kebab in a polystyrene container with the fat dripped on to one the beers. Kebab was pretty decent however Ordered a large - no where near a large, overall if your desperate for a kebab and a four pack of beer and can’t get a ride ,this is your place (beer was £1.80 per can) . DELIVERY TIME WAS EARLY AS I RANG THEM BACK AND ASKED THEM TO DELIVER ASAP

Never had a bad meal in the years we have used them, Jacket spuds pizzas burgers all top notch and lovely people as well.

Food was lovely when it arrived...however it was an hour late. Ordered at 9pm, didn’t arrive until nearly 11pm! Rang up to ask where our food was, man was quite abrupt on the phone with no apology, told us our food was on the way and would be 2 minutes, yet didn’t turn up for another 15. Such a shame as when food eventually arrived it was lovely, just a shame about service and delivery time.

Ordered buy one get one free pizza, extremely meaty was nice, however other pizza wasnt very nice. Kept falling off the pizza and soggy, shame really normally really nice from here.
