Great. Attentive staff with a friendly attitude and quick service. The food was well priced and good quality with a decent array of drinks both soft and alcoholic. Euan, our server was a great help and explained the menu well. Wasn't detered by the large group and went above and beyond to provide great service.

Won £20 omaze vouchers for pizza express. Went to order for collection online and to take advantage of free dough ball offer and gift card codes don’t work online. Had to drive to store to order where codes work but as now having to order in store, couldn’t get the free dough balls. Over £20 for a pizza on its own which could be bought from a chippy for £10-£12. Absolute con that gift cards won’t work online to force you in store where offers can then not be taken advantage of. Gift cards are like cash and should be able to be used like that. Won’t be back

I don't usually leave reviews for chain restaurants but just want to give a shout out to the lovely wait staff who were working on the 10th of June in the evening. They were so bubbly and friendly and made us feel very welcome. There was a mix up in the kitchen which meant our food took a while to come out and they offered us a free drink each without us even asking. We had been quite happy waiting as they we're quite busy but appreciated them coming over to apologise. It sounded like the staff had been dealing with some rude customers that night which is such a shame as they were all so lovely!

Absolutely amazing. Lovely staff, super attentive to our requests. Definitely recommend this place to anyone, but especially fellow celiacs. Thank you to the team here!!

We visited on National Pizza Day to get our free pizzas and they did not disappoint! Our server, Christian, was friendly, upbeat and helpful. The restaurant was visibly understaffed due to absence but Christian kept calm and cheery whilst managing the entire restaurant floor alone. Well done to the whole team for keeping the pizzas coming despite difficult circumstances.

We enjoyed a typical Pizza Express experience. It was my first time using the app to split the bill, which worked very well. It’s so nice to use an app that is actually smooth and user-friendly. We had a big group with some complicated dietary requirements and the staff were mostly very patient.

Just wanted to congratulate the staff on the service, on a wet Saturday evening in December. It was incredibly busy, but they had plenty of people, it seemed very well co-ordinated, everything arrived promptly - I was very impressed.

Decided to stop for a quick bite to eat and some drinks before the theatre and was highly impressed by the staff and manager. Everyone was so polite and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. Even had a chance to chat to the manager who was wearing doc martens shoes. He was very polite and had good recommendations for drinks. Fab experience would highly recommend!

I was in Edinburgh for a couple of days when then rain came down hard just as I was passing this Pizza Express disguised behind alot of scaffolding!! It's just at the top of Victoria Street in the old town.The staff were all friendly. I was served promptly by a lovely young man named Christian. My food arrived quickly. Pizza was great. Restaurant was clean. Good all round experience.

The food was very promptly served and good. The waitress was super friendly. The restaurant decoration could be more welcoming, a bit cold and « canteen » like.

Very accommodating in very fast paced conditions. Knowledgable staff which enabled service prior to our later booked event. Quick and lovely food. All staff we encountered had excellent customer service. Christian on front of house was particularly good knowing which events people likely had booked and at which time for the Edinburgh festival, which instilled confidence that we would be seated, served and out with plenty of time, despite having to wait as we hadn’t booked a table. Our waitress (didn’t catch her name - blonde hair, just finished first year of uni and from Sheffield) provided fast and very friendly customer service throughout the evening, despite a very busy restaurant. Kathy was a joy, very bubbly character which couldn’t help but make you smile. Overall, very enjoyable, nice pizza and exactly what we were after prior to the Tattoo performance .

What a terrible experience. Have always loved Pizza Express but the waiter was so rude and uncaring, leaving us waiting for ages before serving us snd then being totally dismissive snd bordering on disrespect. Why do a job like this if you cannot engage with patrons and have a bit of personality to add to the experience. I rarely leave a venue without tipping but today he got nothing! Totally ruined a pleasant outing

Bei unserer Suche nach einem Restaurant zum Abendessen war dieses zugegebenermaßen nicht unser Favorit, da ist schon eher nach einem großrestaurant aussieht aber angefangen vom Service bis hin zur Qualität des Essens, waren wir sehr überrascht und positiv beeindruckt! Der Service war über alle Maßen gut und man hat sich stets um uns bemüht und gekümmert und die Pizza als solche, war qualitativ wirklich sehr gut und somit kann ich jedem dieses Restaurant ganz klar empfehlen!

The pizza (Pollo ad Astra) was one flat piece of dough with hardly anything on it. I mean it, wee patches of sauce, a morsel of chicken here and there, a vanishing quantity of cheese. I could hardly believe my eyes what I saw it. All that for £17 I think. The Grand Chicken Caesar was anything but grand, a truly small portion with a dab of dressing (I'd have enjoyed more). I didn't like the taste the way they do it, chicken mixed with anchovies but I don't blame them for that, my bad I didn't see it contained the anchovies. Main complaint a vanishingly small portion.

Christian the manager was brilliant! So supportive, friendly and the food was great! We will return, as it’s great to find a manager who’s happy to help and support customers with their needs! Thanks again for a great night🙂

On my way to a meeting, I stopped off at the restaurant. I was immediately greeted and taken to a table. Menus and glass of wine and pitcher of water arrived quickly. I ordered the Marinated Green Olives as a starter. The bowl arrived in good time and was a very generous portion. My main course was their "signature pasta dish" Pollo Pesto. The food was enjoyable and again a large portion. However I felt that the quantity of cheese was inadequate and it would have been greatly improved if there had been some parmesan or similar grated on top. The really sad item was the wilted green leaf with blackened edges that was perched on top of the dish. Why did the chef put an obviously scruffy, passed-it piece of foliage on the plate? However I was really impressed by the waiting staff who were attentive and professional. Shame the kitchen wasn't as impressive.

Came here a few months back with my parents as we had just visited the castle and were looking for somewhere for dinner. Popped in here and were given a nice, quiet table away from a big party on the other side of the restaurant. the staff were so friendly and attentive and one waiter in particular (didn't get his name unfortunately) was super kind as I had a really sore throat so he kindly took me over some green tea and lemon and was super sympathetic. The food came quick and was really good and they even gave us a box to takeaway what we couldn't eat inside. Would definitely come back in the future.

El helado vino a la mesa prácticamente derretido y una vez más, el sabor no era el mejor. Cuando llegué a mi casa en portugal (país) hablé con mi vecino, que es escocés, sobre mi experiencia en el Pizza Express y me dijo que era uno de los mejores lugares para comer pizza. Entiendo que un grupo de 40 personas es difícil servir pero nada de excusas de la manera en que nos sirven. La lasaña de mis amigos llegó la mesa en un recipiente de aluminio y ese mismo contenedor de aluminio dentro de un plato de pasta, no probar la lasaña, pero también se quejaron de que el sabor no era nada especial.

he estado en muchos pizza express pero tengo que decir que mi experiencia aquí fue lo mejor! La camarera que, lamentablemente no puedo recordar su nombre era tan atento y encantador! También es un lugar de pizza, si miráis y hay un montón de ellos en todo el lugar, pero ya sabes, es una buena pizza, no quisiera ser más precisos, es realmente una buena pizza. No hay queja o molestia, el lugar es muy agradable, el personal es amable y servicial. Una copa de vino, una botella de agua, y si miráis ensalada mixta que tenemos una pizza, una muy buena pizza. Voy por el romana base finas y crujientes, desearía que la mía. Un supongo que es un poco como una muy buena cadena de hotel, siempre sabes lo que vas a conseguir y sabes que estará bien. Así que si estás en la ciudad y necesita algo de comida, sin problemas y que sabe muy bien y luego dirigirse a George IV Bridge, luego otra vez puedes ir a la North Bridge, o de Holyrood, o Queensferry Street, pizza Express es bueno allá donde vaya.

We waited for about 20 mins to be approached by possibly the rudest waitress I have ever been served by who proceeded to strip the paint of the walls with the stench of alcohol from her. Arrogant, rude and sarcastic. Your name is on your badge Kirsty. We decided not to stay, if that's the way the staff behaved to our faces, we were a little concerned about what would happen to our food before it arrived on our table. Won't be back
