Pizza Express - Bexleyheath in Bexley

I came in with my family for birthday meal I was greeted by a young man, Myles, whose customer service was amazing and very attentive and looked after us all night while we were there. Cannot recommend this restaurant and the awesome food here. We all had a great evening Thank you to all and Myles.

Was served by shahazza “ Hannah “ and I made sure I asked if the deal was £1 pizza for me and my friend and she said yes. When the bill came only one of the pizzas was £1 . Big fat scam . Don’t listen shahazza.

No service. Only interested in takeaway. Absolutely disgusting. Be a restaurant or takeaway and make up your minds to be good at either or

Sat and ordered lasagne and pizza coleslaw chips to which all came out dry and tasteless all but the lasagne. To then be told do we want dessert and not to refire the pizza as asked, so basically we came to eat and one did one didn’t the place is a joke! Thank god for olives and doughballs as that’s all what was worth eating!

Booked our son's birthday party here, arrived a little early and they were more than happy to see us early, meaning we were perfectly lined up to accept our guests as they started to arrive and didn't have to wait around to get things going; the kids were able to just walk in the door and take their seats. For £15 a head their kids' parties are an absolute bargain, as they get a plate of dough balls each, the chance to make their own pizza and an ice cream at the end! Effectively they get a three course meal for under £20! Staff were more than accomodating as I've touched on above, with the manager advising the adults that if we downloaded the Pizza Express app we could get free doughballs, and water was provided for the adults table, so rather than simply being there to supervise the kids the adults were made to feel a part of things, and while we were advised that we could order food and drinks if we chose to, at no point were we made to feel that we were obliged to do so. The staff were very good with the kids, showing them how the pizza gets prepared and mesmerising them with the dough toss, as well as being incredibly friendly above and beyond the standard you'd expect. The children clearly felt at ease, and so did the adults!

This was a terrible service. I had to wait one hour outside even though it was suppose to open at 11.30am.When I got my ice-cream it was two scoops which was very expensive-£5.50.Before it was only £3.50 and you could order one scoop. The Turkish man was very rude. I think they are trying to take over the restaurant or make sure you go to their rubbish restaurant two doors down. This is all illegal. There are no Italian restaurants in Bexleyheath where they serve proper Italian.

We booked the Pizza Express in Bexleyheath to celebrate my childs 10th birthday. It involved the kids making their own pizza and having a 3 course meal. It was such a lovely experience and a credit to Pizza Express. The kids all thoroughly enjoyed the party, as did the grown ups that stayed. From the booking process to the actual party day, the staff were so professional and it was all a stress free experience for me. A special thank you to William who really got the kids going and created a great interactive atmosphere for all of us. We will definitely come back here again and recommend to anyone considering to book their pizza party here.

I wouldn’t normally review a Pizza Express - they are what they are. What distinguishes one from the other is usually the service, and Rosie was an absolute joy. She was efficient and friendly - and really made an effort to ensure my 86-year-old mum was happy with everything and to communicate with her. What a joy. Consider yourself lucky to have jet Pizza Express Bexleyheath.

I just wanted dough balls but I got a starter Al Forno with Mozzarella cheese.I don't like this cheese as it makes you gay as most people think buffalo is a bull.It is stretchy but bland, Cheddar is so much more flavoursome.Anyway the dish was nice but the Sylhettis horrible to say the least, They tried to make me have a dynamite one as it was spicy but as they never have European food they went mad. I don't think they should work in an Italian restaurant if they don't like Italian food.They can't speak English either only like a mad man who has difficulty adapting to English culture.Maybe they should stick Bangladeshi restaurants which they would feel more comfortable and be better hosts!

Good service and pleasant atmosphere. Food was lovely and hot; pizza was delicious. Kids menu was good and full of good choices.

We arrived with a large group (16 of us) & they looked after us so well, all the food was lovely & we did not have to wait long. Even though it was very busy when we got there they delivered our food with no problems & nobody had to wait. At the end we paid separately which took up time, but they accommodated us & gave us a lovely evening & Dennis really was a star

A last minute decision to grab a pizza and a bottle of wine - would always go to Pizza Express when we’re in Bexleyheath. Food up to the usual good standard of a PE but the staff here are what makes it. Can’t rate them high enough. Every single one of them - but the young lady waitress with dark hair who’s still at school was a pleasure to be around and she deserves a mention. Great team effort always on show here.

Had such a lovely time and the staff were amazing. All the kids really enjoyed themselves. The manager and waiters were engaging with the kids and the quality of food was really good. Definitely recommend. My daughter had the best time!!

We arrived for our Father’s Day reservation, we were told certain items were not available and there would be at least an hour delay for food as the kitchen was busy. Surely if you run a restaurant you factor in the fact that Father’s Day would be busy. We left and went to a lovely local restaurant and had a fabulous meal.

Came here on Tuesday night for dinner 15 December, the night before Tier 3 came into play as the restaurants were being shutdown again. I have to say that I was very happy and impressed with my Pizza Express experience! It was super busy but that didn't faze the lovely waitress Natasha who served us. Natasha was running around like mad and you could see how flat out she was but nothing was too much for her. When we asked for extra dips and extra drinks. She was always very smiley and polite and helpful, she really is a credit to Pizza Express. I just wish I could of afforded to give her a bigger tip! We both had pizzas and honey comb cream slices which were excellent. I must recommend the New Hot Honey Pizza one of my new faves!

Took my granddaughter here today and we had the most amazing dough balls and the american classic. Will definitely be making this a regular thing and the service was spot on and made easy to pay by the app. Thank you for a tasty meal

Our Christmas meal could not have gone better, there was 18 of us for lunch, all the food came out correct and hot. The staff were attentive and kind. I would highly recommend Pizza Express for any Christmas meal!

Visited here on 23rd September late afternoon as not been here for a while. Fantastic food and great service . Will definitely be back.

Went as two couples for a midweek meal and had a lovely experience. The waitress was extremely attentive and friendly providing excellent service. The food was tasty and freshly cooked with good portion size just enough. The bruschetta starter very flavoursome everyone on the table had different main but everyone enjoyed their meal. The non alcoholic cocktails are very good too. Good food, great service thank you. Tip park in the proper car parks not outside the restaurant as the parking enforcement agents were ticketing illegally parked cars.

Went there for lunch on my birthday, the food was amazing, was really happy with everything, staff were very friendly and polite, would defo return xx

We have used Bexleyheath Pizza Express a few times and it has been very nice. Last night we took our two grandsons for dinner and the meal was awful. We had to send pasta back as was not cooked and crunchy. I also had a different pasta and both dishes had no flavour. Two had pizza and they weren't crisp, all in all not a nice experience. Won't ever use Pizza Express again

Delicious food, good value and wide menu choice. The staff are very friendly however did feel that we were rushed. Although the restaurant was not extremely busy, our mains were brought over even though we'd barely finished our starters. I was catching up with a friend who I had not seen in a while, so we were non-stop chatting to catch up but the waiters didn't seem to notice this. It is also very cold inside the restaurant.

The service was quite good, attentive staff and friendly. The dinner was also really nice and there were a lot of options to cater to everyone. The dough balls were slightly burnt which was a bit of shame because they are the best part!

Were served by a friendly member of staff. Helped with selections from the menu and wine suggestions. Food arrived quickly and kept our 2 year old hunger-tantrum free. Starters arrived quickly as did the main course.The kids menu was good.. 3 courses was more than enough. I helped polish off the pizza and it was very nice.Will definitely come back again soon. We where our for dinner and had a few risky options. Pizza express however is always a safe choice, good food and excellent service from friendly helpful staff. 10/10

We had booked a table and were allocated a round one in the window. Service was a little slow to start but improved as we went along.

Ordered a home delivery vía deliveroo for the first time, food arrived totally cold, incredibly expensive for what was received.

Had a late lunch here on Tuesday. It was not busy, although the waitress seemed to be hurrying us with the order at first. Food was ok, As it was not busy , the waitress was chatting with the chef and another person , so we had a bit of a wait for the coffee as we could not attract her attention.

I have been here a few times and we have had a good meal every time. I love the chicken pizza with the salad in the middle, very tasty. We have always had good service and the staff are very pleasant.

Been here about 5 times since I moved to the area 8 months ago. The food is consistently good with any good pizza express. Never had a bad experience here and the service has always been welcoming and friendly and the decor is nice. I will be back.

Friendly service, delicious food and stylish decor. We were there as a group of four adults and four kids. Pizzas were delicious and staff genuinely interested in their customers.

Overpriced Pizza Restaurant. Pizzas not great, quality of pizzas poor. Hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. Filthy toilets.

Our recent trip to this restaurant was not up to usual standards. We were given our starters but then waited 25 minutes for our mains, with 2 children this really wasn't ideal. When the pizza eventually came there was a quarter of the pizza with cheese missing, when I complained I was told they would add more cheese and put it back in the oven. The pizza was already pretty crispy and so requested another one. To their credit they got one out pretty quick and gave us some money off the bill. My issue with this particular Pizza Express is the lack of consistency, we have been before when the food and service has been excellent and other times so-so, you just don't know which one you are going to get.

All decent & exactly what to be expected from a Pizza Express. Can't beat their Bruschetta anywhere, 'simply the best'.

We have visit Bexleyheath Pizza Express for a lunch. There is a lack of vibe and energy in the place, which is reflected in the food served. We had previously visit around 15 different Pizza Express in UK and unfortunately this is the worst one so far. I don't even know what to really say about the food, it was wrong on many levels. I'm not saying it was awful because it wasn't that bad but if you serving a pizza on soggy and play dough like base then you have no idea about pizza.

Couldn't get seated even though a bored, disinterested waitress walked past me a dozen or so times.

Staff very welcoming and attentive , freshly cooked food, reasonably priced and nice atmosphere. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Seated and order taken quickly. Starters good then mains came up as soon as they were cleared so felt rushed. My lasagna came up soo hot that 5 minutes later I still could not eat it! In fact the waitress asked if I wanted another which I said yes. Second one came up that to was too hot and the Manager took out of its container and onto a cold plate, unfortunately by this stage I busted wanted to leave. Husband wasn’t to impressed with his pizza base was cold toppings hot. They didn’t charge for lasagna.Please be careful especially if a child orders lasagna here.

Absolutely delicious 2 Course meal for £9.95 great value for money. Starter and main were full of freshness and flavour.

Quick and easy and always guaranteed a decent pizza that anyone would like with so many great Choices's to choose from. I particularly like the leggeras at only 600 calories. Parking around the back for £1.20. Job done.

Had not been for a while, but again left disappointed, pizza was tiny for a Calzone, and the wife found a piece of plastic in her dessert, although apologetic and given a discount this sort of thing should not happen

Estado aquí tres veces y cada vez el servicio ha sido increíblemente lento. Una de las veces que estábamos allí por 45 minutos y aún no tienen nuestros platos principales y la gente alrededor de nosotros estaban sirviendo así nos quejamos con el gerente y me dieron toda la comida gratis, pero tuvimos que esperar más de una hora para un plato principal. Incluso para las bebidas estaban tan lento. Parecía que se olvidaron de lo que pida el segundo y habiéndoselo comenzó sirviendo a otros.

Mi marido tenía la lasaña y dijo que era uno de los mejores que había tenido en mucho tiempo! Sin duda volveremos cuando esté en el Reino Unido.

Freezing cold in toilets. Food generally good though. 2nd disappointing visit. Won't be coming back here

Made telephone order 4x pizzas on a Monday @ 825pm after their online service failed. Went to restaurant twenty minutes later, food still in oven for five minutes during which time they sorted out payment with 30%-off code obtained online. Food boxed in front of me straight from oven. Restaurant moderately busy and everyone seemed happy. Pizzas were lovely.

We dine here every week for a mid week catch up and are always impressed. Staff are friendly and attentive without being overly so. Food is always spot on.

Had a lovely evening in this branch which is our local one. The staff are very attentive and there are always great offers to be had. This particular evening we had a 30% off mains voucher. Like most pizza express it can be noisy but the staff will always show you to an opposite side if there is a large table seated. Food was amazingly fresh and delicious and we shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio which was also surprisingly pleasant. We shared a starter and dessert each all for under £50. Very impressed.

Visited Saturday lunchtime, busy but not full (I booked in advance just in case). Very friendly, efficient waitress. I would recommend the antipasto to share as a starter, lovely selection of food and almost too much for 2 people!! Pizzas were also nice as was the prosecco (I had the birthday offer of free bottle of prosecco or wine or bottles of beer). Definitely one of the nicest places to eat in Bexleyheath for atmosphere and quality of food.

Have been a Patron for over 7 years at this branch. That says a lot in itself.The 4 Seasons Pizza is definitely my favourite ( and harder to get at other chains now for some reason ? ) Setting here is more intimate than their Bluewater branch ( and certainly less Porsche driving, Ralph Lauren wearing, Botox pumped punters ) Probably a good thing !Service sometimes be a little slow although pizza station in centre adds a nice homely touch. Portions of olives as a starter could also be larger too. These are not cheap ( nor should they be after the recent Brexit ) but we could do with MORE ...Ice creams are always delicious and portion sizes good ( same with the pizzas ! )Parking to the rear of restaurant always seems a little dicey ( cue opening scene of the Equalizer TV series. Check it on Youtube for anyone under 35 ! ) when walking through in almost total darkness.Possibly something could be done about car parking area ( although this may not solely be down to Pizza Express ? ) One thing which puzzles myself and guests is the permanently cool temperature in this restaurant ? Come summer / winter / spring it's always bl%%dy cold !Well worth a visit, just bring a jumper ( or jacket ? )

Not been to a pizza express for a few years but was pleasantly surprised. We had 3 starters and 2 pizzas and 2 desserts. The service was excellent and the restaurant only had around 6 tables being used. The only let down was the calamari. It was a bit rubbery and the coating was hanging off and it was more of a breadcrumb coating than a batter coating. Would go again tho!

This is a restaurant that we have used for many years and have always been happy with the food and the service, however last evening we ordered a pizza and after waiting for 40 minutes they finally arrived. Both pizza's were cold and inedible and had obviously been sitting around. I am really surprised at this and the fact that we had to leave without any food.

Pizza Express is the best of the Pizza chains by a huge margin. We had a friend from Germany visit and went there after a long day - the pizzas, starters and everything we had were really tasty. The service was fantastic and we left with full bellies, totally happy with our lot. We will always be back.

Very popular with the youth of Bexleyheath so can often get very crowded especially with the very good special offers that they do. Food is fine, nothing spectacular but very fir for purpose!

I was going to write my review during my meal but the wifi connection was slower than a herd of tortoises. My pizza and dough balls were lovely but the wifi in the restaurant is certainly less than optimum, I think my old dial up modem would provide a faster internet service. Please fix and I will come back.

Always good value for money I avoid Friday nights as its yo busy but early week it's easy to get s table and very good service

I come here so regularly because it is always such a pleasant experience. It is this kind of consistently good food and service that you seek in a restaurant! Everytime I go, the staff are forever friendly, helpful and smiling, and this has been the case for the several different waitresses that have served me! I have dined here as a group as well as just one other, and these occasions have not altered the quality of service that we received. The food is generally very nice, with the pizza never too burned (which seems to be quite common in other places) and always filled with flavours and toppings. It's fair to say that they are not stingy here with their toppings and cheeses (which you find a lot in other well-established food places). The newly added Pollo forza pizza is definitely my current favourite; we have had this more than once and it's been just as tasty each time. The desserts are another treat and I am a big fan of the honeycomb cheesecake slice; it's always a generously sized piece and you even get a choice of ice cream, mascapone or cream on the side. Definitely recommend it!

The pizzas in Pizza Express are always excellent and enjoyed many lunches and dinner here. It is a firm family favourite.

My boyfriend and myself visited Pizza Express on a Friday evening, and the restaurant wasn't very busy at all. The service speed was average, and the food seemed under cooked, not awful, but just not as good as usual. Upon asking for the bill, a waitress practically shouted in my boyfriends face telling him to wait. We paid the bill after waiting a further 10 minutes because no staff were checking on us to see if we were ready. After paying the bill we left immediately. Most of the staff were lovely, it was just one member which let the whole restaurant down.

Came for a nice family meal out in Sunday. Greeted lively by our waitress took our order. Having a lovely time then starter arrive and find a hair in the famous dough balls. Waitress offers new portion gone off the idea of having by then. Has a common courtesy expect the manager to come over and apologise for this happening but this did not happen and said was surprised to the waitress. Manager comes over but does not introduce herself and says you want to see me, was not wearing any uniform and was most ungracious seemed to say my cooks wear hats so what do you want from me. You want to go there's the door. Made us feel most uncomfortable but for the sake of our hungry children who wanted to eat there. In the end she took the kids meal off very graciously to make these right. Was not expecting anything less

My partner & myself visited the restaurant mid-week late afternoon. The restaurant was relatively quiet at the time. Seated where we wanted to be, the waitress was very attentive & quickly took our order for drinks, suggesting some olives to eat prior to ordering our main course. Our chilled prosecco was refreshing, & the olives added to our enjoyment. Having taken our pizza orders, they arrived at our table in about 20 minutes. Large enough to satisfy our appetites, they tasted great. Our attentive waitress was on call if needed & by the time we had eaten, the restaurant had become very busy. We paid our bill, which I thought was reasonable for the quality & amount. Leaving the restaurant, we were thanked for our custom.

Well as a surprise invite from friends I was not expecting much from this restaurant chain as I had eaten at it before. To my surprise the quality was not bad although the starter portions were very small unlike the main course. The service was great and the speed of delivery was very good. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Boulder not hesitate going again

We booked a table for 21:15, as we arrived we noticed staff Clearing away for the night, this continued for the short duration of our meal. We had hardly touched our starters, when our mains were brought over, I know it says express but seriously, the whole meal we felt like the staff were rushing us, the stacking noisily of chairs directly next to us was too much for myself to especially as surely this is s health and safety hazard with guest walking around, and we decided to have the rest to take home for £45 for 3 people it wasn't up to par I won't be returning for sub standard service that lacks people skills Disgusted

A quick Christmas Eve dinner with the family. Good service and consistently delivered high quality pizza. This particular branch has a nice layout with several booths and even bar seating at the kitchen. Nice seasonal options at this time of year too.

The most amazing pizza ever even better than Dominos pizza. The staff are so lovely and got free dough and made our own dough balls at home. A lovely man cooking pizza was so nice to us and didn't tell us to go away or shut up or to stop annoying him. Most lovely person in the world. Also the dough balls are just perfection, they are really really good.

Pizza express is by far the leading Pizza Chain. The Bexleyheath branch doesn't let the name down food exactly how you order it. ie pizza with no cheese for my dairy intolerant friend . And great waiter service

We eat here every week and its still the best pizza chain. All the food is excellent all the time.Having the tastecard giving you 50 per cent off is excellent.

Ate in here on Saturday 21st November With another couple , we never eat in fast food places but we all thoroughly enjoyed the different pizzas we had ordered I was the only one to opt for dessert profiteroles in salted caramel they were lovely . we will definitely try pizza express in other areas

We have eaten here a few times and it is always lovely. We get served quickly and the food is always tasty.The staff are always polite and the premises are clean. There are always promotions on too so it is nice to get a discount. I cant fault it!

What can you say: it's a pizza express. Standardised menu, but well made for all that.We come back often, because the kids love it. Personally, I prefer the pizza at Zizzis

Really hungry thought pizza express would be the place for s quick pizza but no we waited 45 minutes then decided that was long enough very disappointed and still hungry

only been there once a few months ago but rated on the service, staff and food. All were above par and truly excellent and very friendly, cant fault the staff at all. I just have a problem paying the same price as a meal in a top indian restaurant just for a pizza. So I think its a bit pricey. BUT... will go again I am sure

We walked in without booking and was seated straight away. The atmosphere was cold and empty. Waitress was very good and the food was acceptable. We both had a drink each but the drinks are really expensive, even just beers. It would have been nice to have a few drinks with our meal but as they were so unreasonable, we left to drink elsewhere afterwards.This place has a decent hygiene rating but the atmosphere and high price for a basic meal make this unrealistic to visit again any time soon.

We go to pizza express quite often in London and we thought we would try one local to us instead. It was the usual menu but the one thing that stood out was the wait staff and especially the one blond polish waitress who went out of her way to make our lunch nice.

We go to pizza express a lot and have never once had a problem with service or the food. The prices are great and the food is very tasty, quite often we will decide between pizza express, zizzi and Vella Italian in bexleyheath, every time we pick zizzi or bella it is always poor service or poor food! Pizza express every time!!

Lovely restaurant. The staff are really polite and helpful. Not too long to wait for food and has a comfortable atmosphere.

Returned recently to this chain and venue. As reasonably regular visitors we knew what to expect and it delivered. Good pizza, good starters and good desserts. It was nice to see some new additions to menu (not that we tried any). With a voucher we had the value for money was excellent

We do enjoy going to Pizza Express for a treat once in a while (mind that waistline!) but we were very happily surprised by this particular restaurant with quick efficient service, friendly staff, crayons & colouring paper for our daughter, a good child-friendly menu as well as the most excellent custom-made pizzas - highly recommended if you're in the area.

I normally visit pizza express every week. I have been to bexleyheath one on many occasions. It has always been superb. I can not fault it.What does amaze me is we have never had the same chef twice.Garlic bread with mozarella was the best i have had to date and the lasagne was the best i have had at any restaurant.Get urself a tastecard if u can, monday to thursday 2 for 1, our bill was 18 quid for 2 starters and 2 main courses with bottle of sparkling water. This is the best pizza chain ever.

The food and service are always excellent but a little expensive. Loved the pizza but ordered chips and at £3.95 we got a little cup with just 8 chips in it. Nice though.

Good pizza for diet. Been here many times with groups of friends. For birthday parties and just small groups. Very good selection of mains and delicious deserts.

However, I was really pleasantly surprised at Pizza Express in Bexleyheath when I picked up our food. Immaculately presented, perfectly cooked and very tasty. To me, still the best pizza restaurant chain ever.

First time that I have visited a Pizza Express.I visited with five family members including three young children. The kids were well accommodated. Service was pretty good and the waitress was 'smiley'. We managed to get through plenty of food, all of which was of good quality and quantity. I would visit again.
