Visited yesterday for an evening family meal, would like to commend our waitress Isabella for her attentive, thorough service and kindness! Great food & great place for pre theatre!

Our server ela made our dining experience fantastic! She was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The service was quick and seamless, and she made great menu recommendations. Ela was also very accommodating with our special requests. Overall, great service that enhanced our meal!

Today was nice , Amazing waitresses called Candy and Isabella were amazing and made my day better ! The hot American pizza was very delicious and I enjoyed it , they comforted me and were friendly as I was feeling sad , crying and depressed. They were attentive as well! I love their nice attitude as well and they are very positive and always assuring if I need anything else etc

We had a fantastic time at Pizza Express, thanks to the wonderful service from the incredibly kind Giuseppe and the manager. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their hospitality truly exceeded our expectations. Their warm and friendly attitude made our visit extra special! On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious – everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended!

Went there with my brother and mum, we like pizza express in general, my mum loves it so we always go. waitress kira was very kind and she helped us with our questions about the menu like pizza sizes etc etc, smiley and laughed with my brothers (awful) joke too — much appreciated 🤣🤣. Place was not as clean as other pizza expresses we have been but it was great overall:)

We love Pizza Express so a trip to London would not be complete without it! Staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Food came out fast which is always a bonus. Would 10/10 recommend! The female waitress with glasses was very attentive and welcoming and is an absolute credit to the staff.

I recently had a wonderful dining experience at pizza express with my daughter on a Sunday evening that I just have to share. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by one of the staff members. which set a positive tone for the evening. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting however, i didn’t expect the restaurant to be so busy especially on a Sunday evening which was dissapointing. The service was attentive without being intrusive, although one of the servers didn’t ask me and my daughter if we had any allergies. One staff member really caught my eye, her name was Molly and she was really thoughtful, she was really understanding of the fact that i had certain allergies and it made me feel so much better. Her act of kindness did put a smile on my face. Overall, it’s worth a visit eventhough the softdrinks are quite expensive.

Not sure what was going on or if this is usual but we were going to a show with our children. Booked with 1hr 50 mins before the show started. No queue when arrived to be seated for our reserved booking. Manager sat us down. No waiter appointed. We were forgotten. Had to ask to order which was now 20 mins in. First waitress said yes but then got distracted. Second waitress we approached took our order. Drinks then took another 15 mins. All of this time people were now queuing outside to get in and were getting irate with staff to be seated and not left standing. Seems like they were over booked - staff were spending time looking at the reservation sheet rather than the people sat at tables and who were trying to get their attention across the room. Starters came out which were fine. Plates were not cleared away by the time our mains arrived, well two of the mains. The other two were no where to be seen and hadn’t been made after going to find out. Two of us finished by the time they had been brought over and the super food salad with beetroot was just leafs thrown in a bowl with no beetroot, and I had to ask for the missing dough sticks. It was a shambles all over - people paying on the app to get out quick after waiting to pay, people standing around our table, people sitting themselves down - too small a place for the amount of tables crammed in. The manager did discount our food which was considerate of her, but I would avoid if you are looking to eat before a show.

Worst pizza express I have ever been too booked a table and still not been seen to for over 1 hour the tables are all dirty and not been cleared there about 15 people waiting I think they have over booked due to the school holidays if they can’t deal with the volume of people they Just been told it’s gonna be another 1 then another hour for food unacceptable put the table for 6:30 arrived at 6:15 at 6:30 they were asking if anyone had reservations which we did then at 655 they told us we will have and hour wait still to be seated and wait time for food is another hour so it looking at 9pm tilll we get food crazy stuff the management should be ashamed of themselves

An extremely busy Thursday afternoon, with a full house and only three waiting staff. But they handled it so well!

The food took absolutely ages to arrive. We ordered large pizzas to share, we weren’t given plates so we used napkins until someone chased down staff to ask for plates. Clearly understaffed, no excuse for such a brand at a central London location

Amazing service, Aneta the manager, Monica, and the chefs were all super helpful. We were a group of 18 with special dietary requirements. They managed our order swiftly and catered to everything. The food tasted amazing too. Thank you so much

Went to this restaurant after taking the wife and kids ice skating at Somerset House on 14th December around 2.30pm. We entered and were in a queue. The people in the front were taken to their seats. We waited patiently to be acknowledged. There were empty tables which hadn't been cleared - at least 3 at the time. Several members of staff came past and didn't acknowledge us over a period of about 15 minutes. Finally one came and asked how many, I replied "Four please" and she said she'd go look. She didn't come back. Another 10 minutes later, a person who I assume was the manager, came and said that they were fully booked and that I needed to have a booking. If that was the case, then why couldn't the several members of staff who passed us several times tell us at the beginning rather than make us wait 25 minutes? I asked this and her argument was- "you can see we're busy." Yes, I understand that, but there are empty tables and at the very least if you are not taking walk ins, then you could at least turn us away without making us wait nearly 30 minutes! Incredibly poor service. I get that they were busy, apparently too busy to clean up tables that had been empty for at least 25 minutes, but they could have at least told a family with two young children that they won't be able to seat them out of courtesy without making them wait nearly half an hour - especially when several members of staff walked past several times which would have allowed us to make other arrangements.

We decided to have a family meal (two adults and two teenagers) at Pizza Express on Strand. Luckily, there were free tables available. We ordered the Family Bundle: two large classic pizzas, dough balls doppio, and two salads. Everything was absolutely delicious! The pizza had an incredible thin and crispy crust, and all the dishes were fresh and perfectly prepared. A special thanks to Jose for the amazing service and care — he made our visit even more enjoyable. At the end, there was a small mistake in the bill with an extra portion of dough balls, but it was quickly corrected, which left a positive impression.

Considering I stopped by without a reservation on a Sunday evening, it was nice that I didn't have to wait long. I ordered 1 pizza, potato chips, and 2 drinks, which wasn't enough for 2 people, but since it's a thin pizza, people who eat a lot may need 1 pizza per person. The cheese potatoes were very delicious, and the pizza was cooked slightly on the outside, but there was no burnt smell or burnt parts, so I was able to eat it with moderate flavor. There was no additional charge for the service charge other than the food price, as I had to click no at the time of checkout. Because the server is a bit busy, it would be better to pay on the way out rather than waiting for the bill.

A truly awful experience from start to finish. The place is clearly understaffed and it showed throughout, from the waiting staff to the kitchen staff. Multiple items that we ordered were forgotten. One of which when it arrived was stone cold so had to be sent back. The pizza (as shown in the photos) were soggy and awful. Would not recommend this place at all. After complaining to the manager we received a £120 discount from our total bill which pretty much summed up the evening. Dreadful

Waiting time was 1hr 15mins for our food. We're told 40mins on arrival. Had to chase for the kids desserts included in the 3 course meals. Staff rude and emotional when challenged. 15% tip already added to our bill for a very poor service.

Although the staff did do their best, they seemed very understaffed and it was all a bit chaotic. Not the standard I usually expect from a Pizza Express.

Just had a very disappointing visit to this Pizza Express- having been told we’d have to wait for our table to be ready (despite lots of room downstairs) we then waited for over 40minutes for our food to come and when the dough balls finally arrived they were flat and small. Our pizzas were soggy and not very nice. I feel bad complaining as I did complain at the time and we got one portion of dough balls for free but the manager was unapologetic and verged on rude saying she had warned us that we would have to wait as they were fully booked (but not full…!) it just made a family treat rather stressful as all 5 children were super hungry by the time the food arrived.

Food was nice but the service wasn't great. All the tables were so crammed in that people were climbing over others to get to their table. The gent who served us seemed rushed, wasn't interested in service, just wanted to get our order in on the till. Food and drinks arrived in a reasonable time. They had either overbooked or understaffed, because it seemed way too busy, with everyone running around and forgetting things. We got offered oil which never came, had to wait to find someone for a little tap water... All in all I wouldn't rush back.

Good Pizza Express with friendly staff and good service.

Unreliable. Had dinner booked before a theatre show, arrived to be told my name wasn’t on the list despite the booking confirmation. Manager arrived and looked at the booking, seemed confused. Explained they had a lot of other customers arriving shortly and don’t have space for me as they booked with more notice than me. Strange. Incredibly disappointing as almost all other food spots were booked up. Really poor management and explanation from the staff, manager told us to go to a different location. Wouldn’t recommend, when something goes wrong they seem to like to blame you and not themselves!

We visited as a big group for the pizza making party and had an amazing time. Excellent service by Kareem and Angle. Definitely recommended

I am a wheelchair user, another restaurant had booked us a table assuring us that they were wheelchair accessible, when we turned up they weren’t. This meant that on a Saturday evening we were left without a table to eat. We went into PizzaExpress on a very busy evening Explain the situation and asked if they happen to have a table. Despite being very busy, they juggle their tables round and managed to fit us in. We were very grateful to them and they didn’t need to do that, they went out of their way. Service was very good, quick friendly and courteous. The food was lovely. Good range of menu couldn’t have had a better experience. I would definitely book a table here again in the future.

El lugar es perfecto, el restaurante es un poco pequeño y compacto (con empujones ocasionales de la gente que pasa por allí). El gran problema con nuestro viaje era la lentitud del servicio. Tardamos más de una hora y media en recibir nuestra comida una vez que finalmente habíamos hecho nuestro pedido. Otras tres mesas realmente salieron debido a la lentitud del servicio. Tomó 20 minutos para conseguir una camarera para tomar nuestro pedido en primer lugar! Un gran saludo a Molly, una de las camareras, que estaba haciendo un trabajo increíble tratando no solo con los clientes comprensiblemente frustrados, sino también con el gerente rápido y grosero de turno. Ella hizo un gran trabajo y definitivamente es un activo para la rama. La comida (cuando llegó) estaba sabrosa como siempre, pero realmente necesitan mejorar en sacar la comida lo más rápido posible y no tener solo 3 personas trabajando un viernes por la noche!

Not very busy as it was late. Nevertheless our waitress Ecem was super helpful, helping us get the deal for the discounted pizzas (we two students thank you very much ;) ) and being lovely and attentive. I recommend going here when its not busy as the staff have some time time to shine!

We had a bad experience here after being seated by both the toilet (which we could smell) and the kitchen (noisy of course), we politely asked to move. One waitress was understanding and said she'd check, but another came over rudely, asking if we were "the people unhappy with their seats" and told us it would be a 30-minute wait if we wanted to move. We said it was fine to sit there as we did not want to wait that long. She ignored this response and proceeded to say we should get up so she can sit other people down there. The attitude was uncalled for! We resigned ourselves to staying, but then watched her clean a nicer table and seat a couple who had just walked in straight after. It was clearly rude and for the calm people we are it boiled our blood, we left without eating. It’s not the fact we were seated next to the toilet, that we can live with, it’s that our reasonable request was blatantly ignored and treated with unnecessary attitude. Then to favour other customers when we’re all paying to eat here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this pizzeria with my family, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was incredibly delicious – the pizza was perfectly baked with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. Even my kids, who can be picky eaters, couldn’t get enough! What made our visit even more special was the wonderful service. The manager was extremely friendly and welcoming, making sure we felt right at home. Her warm attitude and attention to detail truly made a difference. We had such a great time, and this will definitely become our go-to spot for family outings! Highly recommend!

The worst management and service that I have ever received in any food establishment. The manager argued back when we sent food back for being cold, couldn’t split a bill ect as we booked as a group apparently. Absolutely no help

Was greeted and sat by the manager on duty - she was super welcoming, friendly tried to upsell in a natural and non forced way. She then handed my table over to a waitress. Food was above average. I had potato salad which, was tasty but think the kitchen used a blunt knife to cut, diced onions appeared more like sliced which slightly detracted from the dish. Dough balls and halloumi were cooked to perfections. Main issue is when I came to pay, I opted for cash, the waitress shorted me by 10p - which fair, she didn’t have it in her float, however she commented, and acknowledged by saying “oh I don’t have it, but it can be a tip” which I though was extremely obnoxious hence the lower rating for this visit.
