Great pizzas, helpful staff and a minimal wait! Highly recommended!

An extremely busy Thursday afternoon, with a full house and only three waiting staff. But they handled it so well!

The food took absolutely ages to arrive. We ordered large pizzas to share, we weren’t given plates so we used napkins until someone chased down staff to ask for plates. Clearly understaffed, no excuse for such a brand at a central London location

Amazing service, Aneta the manager, Monica, and the chefs were all super helpful. We were a group of 18 with special dietary requirements. They managed our order swiftly and catered to everything. The food tasted amazing too. Thank you so much

Went to this restaurant after taking the wife and kids ice skating at Somerset House on 14th December around 2.30pm. We entered and were in a queue. The people in the front were taken to their seats. We waited patiently to be acknowledged. There were empty tables which hadn't been cleared - at least 3 at the time. Several members of staff came past and didn't acknowledge us over a period of about 15 minutes. Finally one came and asked how many, I replied "Four please" and she said she'd go look. She didn't come back. Another 10 minutes later, a person who I assume was the manager, came and said that they were fully booked and that I needed to have a booking. If that was the case, then why couldn't the several members of staff who passed us several times tell us at the beginning rather than make us wait 25 minutes? I asked this and her argument was- "you can see we're busy." Yes, I understand that, but there are empty tables and at the very least if you are not taking walk ins, then you could at least turn us away without making us wait nearly 30 minutes! Incredibly poor service. I get that they were busy, apparently too busy to clean up tables that had been empty for at least 25 minutes, but they could have at least told a family with two young children that they won't be able to seat them out of courtesy without making them wait nearly half an hour - especially when several members of staff walked past several times which would have allowed us to make other arrangements.

Considering I stopped by without a reservation on a Sunday evening, it was nice that I didn't have to wait long. I ordered 1 pizza, potato chips, and 2 drinks, which wasn't enough for 2 people, but since it's a thin pizza, people who eat a lot may need 1 pizza per person. The cheese potatoes were very delicious, and the pizza was cooked slightly on the outside, but there was no burnt smell or burnt parts, so I was able to eat it with moderate flavor. There was no additional charge for the service charge other than the food price, as I had to click no at the time of checkout. Because the server is a bit busy, it would be better to pay on the way out rather than waiting for the bill.

We decided to have a family meal (two adults and two teenagers) at Pizza Express on Strand. Luckily, there were free tables available. We ordered the Family Bundle: two large classic pizzas, dough balls doppio, and two salads. Everything was absolutely delicious! The pizza had an incredible thin and crispy crust, and all the dishes were fresh and perfectly prepared. A special thanks to Jose for the amazing service and care — he made our visit even more enjoyable. At the end, there was a small mistake in the bill with an extra portion of dough balls, but it was quickly corrected, which left a positive impression.

A truly awful experience from start to finish. The place is clearly understaffed and it showed throughout, from the waiting staff to the kitchen staff. Multiple items that we ordered were forgotten. One of which when it arrived was stone cold so had to be sent back. The pizza (as shown in the photos) were soggy and awful. Would not recommend this place at all. After complaining to the manager we received a £120 discount from our total bill which pretty much summed up the evening. Dreadful

Waiting time was 1hr 15mins for our food. We're told 40mins on arrival. Had to chase for the kids desserts included in the 3 course meals. Staff rude and emotional when challenged. 15% tip already added to our bill for a very poor service.

Although the staff did do their best, they seemed very understaffed and it was all a bit chaotic. Not the standard I usually expect from a Pizza Express.

Just had a very disappointing visit to this Pizza Express- having been told we’d have to wait for our table to be ready (despite lots of room downstairs) we then waited for over 40minutes for our food to come and when the dough balls finally arrived they were flat and small. Our pizzas were soggy and not very nice. I feel bad complaining as I did complain at the time and we got one portion of dough balls for free but the manager was unapologetic and verged on rude saying she had warned us that we would have to wait as they were fully booked (but not full…!) it just made a family treat rather stressful as all 5 children were super hungry by the time the food arrived.

Food was nice but the service wasn't great. All the tables were so crammed in that people were climbing over others to get to their table. The gent who served us seemed rushed, wasn't interested in service, just wanted to get our order in on the till. Food and drinks arrived in a reasonable time. They had either overbooked or understaffed, because it seemed way too busy, with everyone running around and forgetting things. We got offered oil which never came, had to wait to find someone for a little tap water... All in all I wouldn't rush back.

Good Pizza Express with friendly staff and good service.

Unreliable. Had dinner booked before a theatre show, arrived to be told my name wasn’t on the list despite the booking confirmation. Manager arrived and looked at the booking, seemed confused. Explained they had a lot of other customers arriving shortly and don’t have space for me as they booked with more notice than me. Strange. Incredibly disappointing as almost all other food spots were booked up. Really poor management and explanation from the staff, manager told us to go to a different location. Wouldn’t recommend, when something goes wrong they seem to like to blame you and not themselves!

I am a wheelchair user, another restaurant had booked us a table assuring us that they were wheelchair accessible, when we turned up they weren’t. This meant that on a Saturday evening we were left without a table to eat. We went into PizzaExpress on a very busy evening Explain the situation and asked if they happen to have a table. Despite being very busy, they juggle their tables round and managed to fit us in. We were very grateful to them and they didn’t need to do that, they went out of their way. Service was very good, quick friendly and courteous. The food was lovely. Good range of menu couldn’t have had a better experience. I would definitely book a table here again in the future.

Me and my friend came without booking, even though the place was full Monica was super sweet and managed to get us a table and looked after us the whole time! Will defo be coming back again!

The spot is perfect, restaurant is a little small and compact (with occasional nudges from people walking by). The big issue with our trip was the slow service. It took over an hour and a half to receive our food once we had eventually placed our order. Three other tables actually walked out due to such a slow service. It took 20 minutes to get a waitress to take our order in the first place! Big shout out to Molly, one of the waitresses, who was doing an amazing job dealing with not only the understandably frustrated customers but also the snappy and rude manager on duty. She did a great job and is definitely an asset to the branch. Food (when it arrived) was tasty as always but they really need to improve on getting the food out as quickly as possible and not having only 3 people working on a Friday night!!

This was the perfect place for a pre-theatre dinner. It was busy but everyone was very attentive and friendly, and the service was quick.

We had a bad experience here after being seated by both the toilet (which we could smell) and the kitchen (noisy of course), we politely asked to move. One waitress was understanding and said she'd check, but another came over rudely, asking if we were "the people unhappy with their seats" and told us it would be a 30-minute wait if we wanted to move. We said it was fine to sit there as we did not want to wait that long. She ignored this response and proceeded to say we should get up so she can sit other people down there. The attitude was uncalled for! We resigned ourselves to staying, but then watched her clean a nicer table and seat a couple who had just walked in straight after. It was clearly rude and for the calm people we are it boiled our blood, we left without eating. It’s not the fact we were seated next to the toilet, that we can live with, it’s that our reasonable request was blatantly ignored and treated with unnecessary attitude. Then to favour other customers when we’re all paying to eat here.

Walked in to be ignored by staff standing around having a conversation then for them to seat the person behind when I then asked of we could also have a seat tylhe gentleman walked away ignoring us to go do something else Never been so embarrassed and humiliated in a hospitality setting in my life wouldn't recommend at all !!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this pizzeria with my family, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was incredibly delicious – the pizza was perfectly baked with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. Even my kids, who can be picky eaters, couldn’t get enough! What made our visit even more special was the wonderful service. The manager was extremely friendly and welcoming, making sure we felt right at home. Her warm attitude and attention to detail truly made a difference. We had such a great time, and this will definitely become our go-to spot for family outings! Highly recommend!

Was greeted and sat by the manager on duty - she was super welcoming, friendly tried to upsell in a natural and non forced way. She then handed my table over to a waitress. Food was above average. I had potato salad which, was tasty but think the kitchen used a blunt knife to cut, diced onions appeared more like sliced which slightly detracted from the dish. Dough balls and halloumi were cooked to perfections. Main issue is when I came to pay, I opted for cash, the waitress shorted me by 10p - which fair, she didn’t have it in her float, however she commented, and acknowledged by saying “oh I don’t have it, but it can be a tip” which I though was extremely obnoxious hence the lower rating for this visit.

Staff are always friendly at this branch but unfortunately the food was very bland. And this is now the second time I have been here. Not enough toppings I asked for extra cheese I don't think they were paying any attention. Also could not understand how the classic sloppy guiseppe had reduced a few sizes.. Very strange. A shame that this doesn't live up to the Stratford Westfield branch.

The place was half empty when we arrived, so it is a good location if you want to quickly find a place for the big company. The food was good, the service reliable.

None of what I'm about to write is directed towards the wait staff who tried their best and I feel sorry that they are usually who has to deal with angry customers. It took 40 minutes for our 2 starters to arrive (dough balls and mozzarella salad) . You could see other tables getting antsy as well. We gave ourselves 1hr30 before we had to leave to get to the theatre and it was only just enough. We were told the kitchen was understaffed and yet it was heart breaking watching numerous delivery drivers leave with orders. Maybe when you are that busy/understaffed, you should turn deliveries off.

Very good variety of pizzas at affordable prices. The staff is friendly and advises you very well. The place is spacious and clean. Its location is very central.

We had a very attentive waiter and the manager was also really pleasant. The food was excellent and the place seemed to be running like clockwork.

The manager treated me with an attitude of contempt because I went to the second floor directly to sit down and ask for the order through the app, he was a little rude in his body language and the waitress told me that I should ask for the order from her and not in the app🤨. Also because I was dressed in sports clothes and wet from the rain 🤬and her treatment was unkind. I love pizza express but I won't go back to this store😡

The food we ordered was good but we initially had the incorrect order but this was amended. I think the service needs alot of improvement the wait staff were polite but needs training on getting the correct order for the table. The manager was rude - understandably the place was under-staffed and it was busy but you shouldn't be rude to your customers and you should set an example for your staff on how to handle high pressure environments.

Rush throughout whole meal, brought bill and hand held device hadn't even finished my drink. Felt rushed out. Wouldn't mind but restaurant was virtually empty. Food not that good either.

Came in with my partner to ask if they had a table for two, we were told that they were winding down the lunch service to prepare for dinner. Annoying that they couldn't accommodate us at 2.30 on a Sunday afternoon and the member of staff we spoke to was rude as well, not impressed!

Literally the worst service I’ve had from a restaurant in a while. Didn’t serve water even after asking four times. Took so long before they got my order. Service time so slow. Food was mediocre. Macaroni cheese tasteless. Like warm starters. The service was amazing can't fault it. The cost The really not worth the quality if food. We spent 90pounds on a kids meal. Garlic bread starter and bruchetta. Macaroni cheese and pizza. A desert and soft drinks. If the food had been better quality the price may just about seem reasonable. Disappointing really.

I stumbled upon Pizza Express by chance. I was in a hurry, I had little time to eat and I was thrown into the restaurant without knowing what to do. Fortunately, chance allowed me to meet Fehzan! With great professionalism he welcomed me into the restaurant and made me sit at the table and, pleasantly, presented me with the restaurant's offers for lunch, also reassuring me that I could consume my food without causing delays in my work appointments. I must admit that he kept his word! I had the opportunity to have a calm lunch, eating an excellent pizza and enjoying it until the last slice. I didn't know the place but before returning to my work commitments I inquired about the manager who welcomed me and I assured him that I will definitely return to that place which allowed me, for thirty minutes, to relax, putting aside work problems and recharge my batteries. batteries for the subsequent work steps. Thanks Fehzan! I would love to find a manager like you every time I entered a club!

Great food, the server was really friendly and helpful. 4 star because we wanted a booth seat and were told it was reserved, yet people didn't come until we were leaving, the vegan pudding someone wanted they didn't have, and they also forgot to bring out the olives we ordered.

Just had the most delicious meal at Pizza Express, and the atmosphere was so cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or family. Big shoutout to Faizan, the manager, for making sure we were all well taken care of. He really went out of his way to make our dining experience extra special.

Warm and welcoming, service great. Food excellent and only minutes away from many theatres.

Food was pretty good and I reckon there will be something for most who like pizza. Asked about a student discount for pizza before starting and how it worked. Was just told to scroll down to read the conditions, which I skimmed through but would have hoped that they would have told me meant that by using the "free doughball" rewards on their app meant I wasn't eligible for either offer. Then to add insult to injury they wouldn't take my Tesco clubcard vouchers as I'd used the doughball offer. This was all on top of not being served for about 40mins and waiting about 30mins for drinks to come. Starters came out about 10mins after this, but one of the sides that was asked to be done as a starter didn't come until after all the pizzas had been served. The pizza I wanted was also not possible as they had run out of mushrooms. The service staff themselves were friendly, but far too slow. Overall, I'd say it was tasty and nice enough. But if your looking for something nice and quick or decent service I would probably choose somewhere else.

Overall had a great time, always happy to have GF and DF options as well as normal so all my friends and I can eat together. The manager named Fezhan was awesome at ensuring all the allergen stuff was taken care of.

I had the pleasure of dining at Pizza Express three times recently, and each visit was nothing short of exceptional. The food was consistently delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I must highlight the outstanding leadership of manager Fehzan , whose professionalism truly set the tone for the entire dining experience. It's rare to find such a welcoming atmosphere coupled with delicious food. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a fantastic meal served with a side of genuine hospitality.

My son is diabetic, which means we need to know the total carbohydrates in all my son's food, so we can give him the correct insulin dose. He selected the chocolate fondant dessert, the details of which were not yet available in the nutrition info on the app as it is a new dish. The restaurant Manager whose name is Fazhel, was extremely helpful and actually went to get the packaging from the kitchen to find out the carbs and help us calculate it exactly. Our waiter, Aston was also extremely helpful and attentive as well

Visited pizza express on Tuesday with my friends. I was served by Viraj. His service was exceptional with friendly behaviour. He was mindful to ask us about the allergies and also asked us about any desserts and second round for the drinks. Viraj was very courteous and attentive and it was easy to approach him. The service was very quick and Viraj suggested us new offerings on the menu. I had ordered Pollo Fiesta which was one of best pizza's I've had. I would like to compliment the female chef that was working that day.

On Tuesday, I visited to Pizza Express with my friends and was served by Viraj. The girl who prepared the dish did a fantastic job. The food was of good quality, and the service was good as well. Everything was asked, even desserts and allergies.

나이가 있고 키가 작은 남성 직원은 들어왔을 때부터 인상을 쓰면서 자리로 안내했고 식사 후 접시를 치워준 20 분 뒤에야 계산을 요구했다. 또한 카드 단말기만 테이블에 올려놓은 채 알아서 계산할 것을 요구하고 다른 일을 보러 갔다. 이것은 다른 테이블과의 명백한 차별이었다. 아시아인을 차별하는 것으로 보인다.
