Cecconi's Pizza Bar in City of London, Westminster

Walked in without a booking and the lady at the desk was very welcoming. We had a drink at the bar while she tried to find us a table. The food and atmosphere and music were amazing. Great wine. Clean toilets Highly recommend

Tried to eat here after a show on the west end only to have our reservation canceled because “the kitchen closes at 10:30.” We book the reservation because their website said they served food until midnight. We went to the Ivy instead but apparently their kitchen is open late so either the restaurant was being lazy or both their website and word of mouth was wrong. Either way will never try to be back.

Shambolic service. Utterly disgusted would never visit again. They turn a fun, memorable experience into an utterly terrible shambles. Avoid. Do not waste your time, money or effort.

We came yesterday afternoon before theatre what a lovely time we had, really good service and friendly staff and the arancini are to die for.

Came on the 20th afternoon, despite being very busy, the atmosphere and service was really good both of the waitress and Manager came to talk to us and they were really attentive. I was impressed how the team was dealing with very impatient and rude customers. The food portion was a little small but very tasty. Would recommend.

Sat at an outdoor table on Thursday afternoon 18 April. After being there for 20 minutes without anyone bothering to come outside, I went indoors and ordered at the bar. I explained I would not be paying a service charge, as I had not received any. The barman to his credit did remove service charge, but no apology about the dreadful lack of service.The dining room was not even that busy, which really annoyed me. Today, Saturday 20 April I returned, hoping in vain that things might have improved. No such luck. Sat outside again but after 10 minutes, still nobody came out. Decided to cut my losses and went to another restaurant instead. I will not be coming back anytime soon....

Very loud, very cold, very very slow service. Also the burrata was just ordinary mozzarella. V disappointing

I ordered a Rigatoni and it was okay. But the portion was very small, more like a kids plate. That was disappointing. The service was very nice but let us alone for a good time because of shift change.

Lovely service and atmosphere. Food very tasty, we had the zucchini fritte, truffle arancini, focaccia and cacio e pepe and everything was delicious! Highly recommend the arancini, the pasta & tiramisu

Pre-show meal, quite nice, buzzy place, little disappointed with the service tbh...waiter didn't seem attentive enough in my opinion, walked past several times even after trying to attract his attention & one of the servers was dressed very casually, wasn't sure if they even worked there & drinks took ages to arrive, oh & we had 2 salts on our table, unable to tell coz it's quite dark in there, so oversalted both our main courses..on a positive note, assorted cold meats starters were excellent & both pizzas were tasty, before we oversalted them...🤷‍♂️

Really crowded, gives the vibe of a pub. We waited over an hour for our food and it was cold. The pasta I got tasted like rubber. Wouldn't reccommend.

Food was okay but service was awful. When seated we waited 15 minutes to even order drinks. We were in there for 2 and a half hours for a 2 course meal as service was just so slow. At the end of our main course our plates weren't taken away, we weren't approached and asked if we wanted dessert/another drink/the bill. About 20 mins after finishing the main course we asked for the bill which did not come. We then asked a different member of staff about 15 mins later for the bill again which they eventually gave us. After getting the bill it then took another 10 mins to pay despite all sitting in our coats waiting. Overall, seemed understaffed so may not entirely be their fault but the ones that were there didn't seem to care about us and tended to ignore us.

We found the staff to be attentive but the food is not the best all round. We did address some issues when two of us had food poisoning from a crab linguini but Soho House deemed it unlikely and that we had not provided a poo sample to prove it!!! Not sure Deliveroo would appreciate that kind of delivery. We should have complained on the night as the dish was fishy in smell and sludgy in presentation. Having eaten in a few of their establishments I would say food is good marketing over quality.

Get there in the evening around 8 p.m. It was very well attended. We sat at the high tables right by the kitchen. It was exciting to watch. We were informed in advance which items on the menu were no longer available. The order was placed quickly and the food came quite quickly. It was really very tasty and the price was absolutely right!

We dined here before heading to a show across the road at the Prince Edward Theatre, so location was convenient for this. The food was lovely and the staff. Nice atmosphere.

No customer service, menu terrible, food presentation awful with small portions, wasn't offered a drink only a £5 bottle of table water. Food never came out together then had a cheek to charge £9 service charge.... never again.

I went here for something quick before the Theatre: a warm welcome, great atmosphere and good food that was reasonably priced. The staff made the effort and were genuinely bothered about the meal experience. A great find, and will definitely be looking to go back, promote shamelessly they deserve the business.

6 of us came here for a birthday dinner. We all had lots of starters to share which were fantastic and the pizza was one of the best you'll in London (the price was very good too). The service on the other hand was awful. Being asked what we'd like to order to eat without being given a menu, one of our party didn't have their meal and it wasn't until the CHEF came and asked, it was sorted. The thing that annoyed us most of all was the staff constantly trying to take our plates while we were still eating. This happened on four occasions. We felt very rushed even though there were plenty of empty tables.

Granted we were running just a little late and we called three times to let them know but no answer. Then our table wasn’t ready so ok. 15 minutes later we were seated. Let them know we had a reservation to make so could we order / pay quickly. The service was an absolute joke. Forgot a drinks order, everything took ages, and ultimately in turned out they also forgot to place our food order. Left without eating. Ruined my birthday.

I always have an amazing time. I have celiac disease and they are always extremely accommodating. Also Tiggy is the best server I’ve ever had she’s wonderful! Must recommend this place!

The only pasta place that has no spaghetti or linguine! Pizza was wet and doughy and pasta portions are tiny! I got quizzed and made to answer to the manager as to why I wanted to take off the service charge! It is discretionary and would rather I decide what amount if any I would like to pay!

We were wandering around trying to find a bite to eat. Saw this place and decided to try. So happy we did!! Friendly people. The drinks were very tasty and WOW. Best ravioli I have had in years. The wood fire pizza is very good. The menu is more traditional Italian, so if that's not what you like, watch out. The decor was beautiful. My only complaint was it was a bit loud for a week night, however that won't drive me away from returning. Fabulous. Well done! Thank you for the great evening!

The place looks great! Very much style over substance. We were greeted by a very rude woman at the front who did not even say hello - she rushed us to our table and said ‘you have an hour and a half.’ And that’s it! The margarita pizza was unbelievably bland and soaking wet, I never complain or send things back but it was completely inedible. The waitress looking after us was very nice and offered to replace it but I had completely lost my appetite so just asked for it to be taken off the bill. The bill came and it was still on there so after some back and forth they finally removed the price of the pizza. The olives and drinks were nice. Even with the pizza taken off the bill was still over £50 - Not worth the price at all.

The food was the only good thing about our visit here. Too many people all in one section where tables have been squeezed in. The in-house DJ which would have been perfect for having drinks, but as it was a restaurant having food it was too loud and too much. The service was terrible. Snapped at when taking your order and having to get up and pay the maître d' as our waiter was not available to have desserts or even pay our bill.

The service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed disinterested in both their work and the customers. The pizza was mediocre, but nothing more.

I had a dinner there with colleagues, we didn’t have reservations, but the staff was able to find us a table right away. Food was really tasty and the service was good. We have waited just a few minutes although the entire restaurant was full. Staff is really friendly and polite and can give you a good recommendation if you are not sure what you want. I can personally recommend the pizza options. It can become a bit noisy during the dining time but it’s ok.

Honestly not my favourite Italian place in central. It's busy, vibey and well decorated, so the atmosphere is good, but it was so loud on a Thursday that we could barely hear each other at our table. The staff were nice and attentive but we had the set menu and the food was uncreative and boring. I also had the soggiest pizza I've ever seen. Unfortunately I've seen better elsewhere so I wouldn't go back.

Very busy, felt like we were in the midst of chaos. We also went for my brothers birthday, which we wrote on the notes prior and this was not acknowledged. We felt rushed and the service was below par, in addition to this the food was very overrated and too expensive for what it was. Wish we knew before we came, wouldn’t return.

Extreamley dissapointed. Very bad service and organization. Of course, we won’t come back. No one attended us and despite having a reserve, they didn’t offer us a table on time.

Incredibly average which is surprising considering the name. The welcome was nothing to write home about. Our server’s first words to us were ‘you ready?’ White wine was warm and they couldn’t provide anything chilled. No napkins on table. Main course salad was served in a bowl. Chicken was not freshly cooked and just dumped on top. I’m no expert in focaccia but if it was focaccia it looked and tasted like pizza dough just cut up . Pizzas were apparently good and our server got better. I genuinely hate giving bad reviews but owners, if you’re reading this, you need to up your game as I’ll never visit again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to.

The food is not good at all. The pizza has no cheese. The desert is uneatable. I am sorry but this is the worst restaurant in London.

Visited on the 21st December and had a terrible time. The female manager was rude and unprofessional. The food was of poor quality & drinks ordered never arrived (but were still on the bill). Used to be one of my favourite restaurants which sadly seems to have gone down hill. Will not be returning.

No great at all. Would suit someone maybe going to the theatre that wants basic food. However there are so many others places to choose from that are better value. Food was below average with overpriced appetisers and very small portions of main course. To give you an idea. Pasta is served on a side plate sized portion which consisted of 6 mouthfuls. I had the carbonara which was nothing to be excited about. The atmosphere was not pleasant, music was so loud, most people were shouting across the tables which made it feel strained and not enjoyable. Its a tightly packed restaurant with not much room between tables, so quote claustrophobic, particularly as its quite dark in there. To finalize, once you've paid the bill they want you out and continue to keep popping back to emphasize this. If you haven't moved by the time they want you to, they will quite happily come and tell you to make a move. We had only finished the meal by around 15 mins when this happened and drinks were still being finished.

I visited on what looked like a very busy lunchtime, with no tables available. I was assigned a sit by the bar. Service was professional although it lacked warmth. The pizza was ok, although slightly burned underneath. I was no asked if everything was fine with my food or offered to order an other drink. Overall ok, but lots of space for improvement.

Very disappointed. Pizza was only half cooked, base was paper thin and soggy/soft because it was undercooked in the middle. Taste not special, little tomato sauce and cheese. There was a dirty knife in the cutlery tray, when we asked for a new one there was no apology or apology. Waitress was unfriendly and impatient. I wouldn't go here for a tasty pizza and good service.

A very nice place (it was midday) and quiet. Ambient music, you see the street, you see the pizza kitchen (but we ate pasta). Highly recommended. It is not a cheap place but the "quality-price" relationship is correct. Ideal for a special occasion. And in the middle of SOHO Londinen!

Had dinner here with son. Firstly, we received a very grumpy waitress. Very rushed and rude not normal. Then the 2 pizzas were both far from warm and 1 was not even done. Then I took a knife from the container on the table and the one that had been used asked for a clean one, which was given without any apology or apology. But paid and they charge a standard 13.5% tip. Paid and couldn't get rid of Goodday. So not recommended from us

All in all experience was mediocre. Waiters and manager distracted too often forgetting plates, glasses, orders. Kitchen is ok and so is the food but nothing to write home about. Ordered an anchovie salad which came without anchovies... So they just took it back and added some anchovies back into it. Restaurant was cold, we sat in our coats during the meal.

We shared a few starters and they were nice but my main meal arrived whilst we were still on our starters. Not ideal. I had the Napoli pizza and was asked as it was vegan whether I would like cheese on it. Of course I did as pizza should have cheese but when we got the bill we were charged extra for the cheese! My 3 friends had the crab linguine. It had a few shreds of crab on top which we thought was garnish but no, that was the extent of the crab and it was £18! We did complain and all she said was “do you want dessert?” There are plenty of other places to eat that are so much better than this so go elsewhere

Service is really really bad. Restaurant was empty and the host was very unwelcoming and kept us standing while she was talking to the other staff at the restaurant. Felt like she didn’t want to serve us at all. Food was the only good part, it was really good.

Venue was not willing to honour a discount advertised. The manager was quite rude about it. Took a while to be served. Food was average but filling and a slight modification I asked for was refused. This is the second time I’ve tried a Cecconi’s branch and will not bother again, there is better Italian food in London.

Fabulous place, great drinks, gets you a not too crazy atmosphere where you can enjoy late drinks, food, and chat with people.

Very good experience! We walked in and it was very lively, the host greeted us and got us our table (we booked). a waiter came around and took our order, and I never saw such speed of service! within 5 minutes our starters were on the table, and soon after our mains! Great taste and good value for money. The only cons I found are: - there was a DJ and I found music to be a bit too loud considering everyone was sat and conversing - The pizza was delicious but tough to digest

I’ve been to cecconis pizza bar a few times and enjoyed it. I don’t know if the chef has changed but it was one of the worst pastas I have eaten in London in a very long time. I got the cacio e pepe which was literally butter and uncooked pasta (uncooked not aldente) zero flavour or pepper or anything. My friend asked for tomato pasta because she was vegan and they literally gave her the content of a canned tomato with some pasta in it. Zero flavour, zero onions or basil nothing and it was cold. Really disappointed and will not be going back unfortunately particularly due to the extremely high prices.

It’s a horrible decision to go here. First of all the waiters don’t even show up to your table for the first 30 mins when you try to order. They make eye contact with you and avoid you. After we got our food after so much of waiting, the manager put the bill at our tables and asked us to pay instantly when we were already eating our meals that they got 10 mins ago. The manager was extremely rude and was asking us to pay again and again. The drinks we ordered were given to us after our meals were over. Let me tell u the description of a mojito that I got. It was 25 mL liquid with nothing else. He put it on our table in a passive aggressive way as if we were doing a favour on ourselves by ordering. We specifically said that we don’t want ice but they can add water as my friend recently had a tonsillitis surgery, which I informed them about. They said they don’t do that in this restaurant, when it’s clear that ice turns to water, so they could have just added water to our drinks. Extremely rude service and overpriced. The manager at this place clearly can’t seem to handle its customers and what they need. Never going here again.

Totally disappointing! I had taken my boyfriends family here for a birthday meal and am extremely embarrassed with what they had experienced. Firstly, I had booked a table for 4 in which we had to wait upon, in a busy room till they found a free table to clear up for us. We were squeezed on a small table for 2 next to another large group who had also been placed on a table for 2! Could barely hear any conversation among the loud music from the DJ in the restaurant… you’d would perhaps expect a DJ later in the evening, not at 5pm.. After we ordered our food we then waited around 45 minutes to an hour for our mains. Our order had clearly been missed, as tables around us who arrived after were receiving their food. We asked one of the waiters where our food was as we had been waiting a very long time, to which he responded with a bad attitude and asked “what the issue was”. He assured us the food was on its way but again we were left waiting another 10 minutes. Once we were finished with the bland pasta, we decided that was enough and wanted to leave. I had to find the waiter myself as service was minimal. I let her know that the meal was disappointing as well as the long wait. She said she would look into this for me and then disappeared, not to be seen again. Another waiter came over with the bill, in which we received no compensation or apology. My boyfriend had to go up again to explain the situation, where he also received no apology and only £30 off the £170 bill… Will not be returning!

Was excited to meet my parents here. After our drink order it all went down hill. We waited 45 minutes for our food. With them essentially forgetting to process our order. No apology. Then the food was bland and rather disappointing. Came to the bill we asked to compensated considering the wait time for the food and all they did was take the service charge off. This was the manager with a nose piercing, who avoided us after asking a member of staff to speak to the manager The only helpful staff member was a blonde female who understood the disappointment. I would not recommend this place or take anyone here in the future.

We were enjoying when we came at Cercconi's had drinks and ordered our starters that turned out really good, except "crab Linguine" so we informed the personnel that the Crab Linguine is Very Disappointing! Shockingly the attitude of the personnel we report to was very rude tone of his voice and the word that came out in his mouth the arrogancebis unacceptable. He looks very unhappy. totally lost our friends appetite. So sad.

On initial arrival, I feared we may have made a poor choice - it was absurdly dark, beyond moody, more in the region of a blown fuse, and there was an actual DJ playing in the restaurant. Which feels wrong on any day, but seemed particularly jarring on a Wednesday. Nevertheless the decor is stylish and thoughtful. And most importantly, the pizza was DELICIOUS. Best margarita I've had in a while. Good pizza, unusual lighting choices.

Service was really bad. We waited quite a while to order and then longer to pay the bill. The waitress seemed to have an attitude and was rude. Tiramisu was good.

Stopped in for a carafe of wine and some nibbles. Gorgeous retro Italian cafe vibes, really friendly service, delicious wine and food - we just got the meatballs and calamari fritti for snacks . Didn’t have enough room for one of their pizzas but saw people get them around us and they looked amazing - will definitely return to try one of those!

My favourite place for Italian hands down! Staff is super friendly, food is great with lots of flavours, options to pick from. If you are a fan of pizza like I am, look no further. Good selection of wine which is sometimes more important than the food. I celebrated my birthday with few friends here. Got a lovely cake and the staff all came to sing. And I was embarrassed he he over all a great place!

Such a beautiful spot in the middle of soho. The team here have such a great attitude toward the service and atmosphere, the menu is great and cocktails even better! We went in evening and they had a DJ on which added some extra fun to a beautiful meal and we enjoyed the night so much staying for drinks after until close! Can’t wait to come back again soon.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant which we came across for a pre theatre lunch. The customer service from Francesco was amazing. The meals and orange/apple juice were so lovely and fresh and of reasonable cost for London. Wonderful ambience and looking forward to a further visit when we are in the area

Went in last week after a little weekend in London with the wife. Pizza was incredible and the Aperol spritz flowing. Shame that we live far away as the vide and the service were top notch. Will see you next time we're in London

Went there last week with a friend. We ordered (black!!) Arancinis to share and Pizza. Both really really tasty. The atmosphere was so viby that we decided to stay for a couple of drinks at the bar. We really enjoyed the DJ music selection. Fun and caring staff. Definitely going back soon.

Food was great as were the staff who are mostly Italian and fab. Our Spanish waitress was lovely too. Even the dj was from Venice. Booked to go back on 1st September. The only thing I was surprised to see was that we asked for extra chilli on our linguini and we were charged £4 which I think personally is wrong.

The service was great, efficient and extremely helpful. Drinks and food were absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back with our team - Love from Foggs

Great venue in central London, amazing atmosphere and amazing music, the djs make a great vibe funky/disco. I loved the pizza, proper Neapolitan and testy.
