Limited menu, spaghetti under cooked, even after 2nd attempt, too expensive, wouldn't come back or recommend

Very expensive dinner for two at this neighborhood restaurant. Seems overpriced for the level of quality and items we chose (pasta). The service was attentive and the interiors nice, but for the money, we felt “taken.”

Lovely cute little place very near Grosvenor gardens. Unfortunately not immensely child friendly but it made up in willingness to accommodate us and a big grin by every member of staff

...sadly not impressed - O.K., first the positives. Food very good, wine very good, martini not as dry as ordered although it was "dirty" as ordered. Our experience was not brilliant - let me explain. Welcome so/so. We ordered Apéritifs. My Martini was delivered as "old school" - far too much Vermouth. We also said we can order the food now, so we did. However, we'd only got a third of the way through our drinks when the food arrived along with the wines! O.K. we thought, let's keep the Apéritifs for after the meal and not bother with dessert - they had not asked us when we would like the food brought to the table. The table staff seemed totally disinterested. Thus, we ate well, finished our Apéritifs, paid the bill and then left feeling somewaht "flat" and that we'd been "hurried". Once home I looked at the bill in more detail. We'd been charged a cover charge of £3.00 - but no bread or butter etc. etc. was delivered to our table! We also asked for simple tap water. On looking at the bill we'd been charged £6.50! This is "sharp" practice! Regading ambience, it's quite a "live" accoustic room - no problem with this. However, there was a particulary loud American businessman right over the other side of the room who totally spoilt any feeling of exclusivity...Would I recommend Santini to a friend? Based on this visit a resounding "no". It'a also a touch "pricey". They definitely need to "up their game" to justify the bill at the end. Maybe it was better when Frank Sinatra and Roger Moore dined there decades ago but, personally speaking, there are so many better London restaurants that deliver far more finer and professionally and are not so " wallet heavy" when the final bill arrives...My note to Santini - Pay attention to detail, up your game and provide true value for money...

Staff was great. We showed up 30 minutes before opening and they let us in and served us drinks until the kitchen opened.

Santini has become the favourite restaurant for me and my dining guest. A small hiccough with how my lamb was cooked was immediately and graciously corrected, otherwise absolutely superb food, excellent, friendly, service

Wonderful late night dinner. Steps from Clermont Victoria and Victoria tube station. Reasonably priced, attentive service, delicious drinks, and expansive menu choices at varying price points. Nice portion size. Definitely did not leave hungry. See photos Spaghetti carbonara Veal milanese Frosty frog and old fashioned Affogato and tiramisu

The reviews that I’ve read on the website regarding this restaurant was not what I experienced, When entering the restaurant we was met bye staff that was very polite, The food was beautiful perfectly cooked and presented, the service is one of the best I’ve experienced in London, The restaurant was immaculate even the wash room was spotless.  I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and I will be visiting again soon, Thank you for a lovely evening.

Excellent food, good service but a bit too expensive.

Service was efficient, the place was nicely furnished and well presented. but it wasn’t a very ‘happy’ or overly friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, I would say. Food was OK but significantly overpriced even for central London. The Belgravia location might justify the price points in the owners’ mind, maybe, but we won’t be rushing back. Examples: Olives £8 : just some green olives in a small ramekin. £45 for a crab salad starter that wasn’t that special. Mashed potato with the veal stew was quite dry. All in all, just generally ok, but that’s not a high enough standard for a meal for two costing around £240 (with only one mojito and a 125 ml glass of Franciacorta (£19) the only alcohol beverages ordered, no desserts and just 2 espressos at the end). £6.50 for a small bottle of still mineral water. We declined to pay the additional discretionary service charge, but didn’t argue with the two ‘cover charges’ of £1.50 each even though the inclusion of then seems a rather archaic practice in my opinion!

Great food, the pastas were delicious and the stuff were amazing.

We went before the theater and the wait staff was very accommodating to place our food orders so we had a nice pace but also to ensure we finished to get to the show on time . The meals were very yummy . If visiting London again , would definitely recommend. The ambience as very nice as well.

As someone who does not cook with a lot of salt at home, the meals were heavy on the sodium side. The lamb was well-seasoned, but the cabbage and spinach were very salty. The spaghetti carbonara and crab linguini were average. Pasta was al dente which was good, but the sauces needed more life. One of the servers forgot to order our first course (soup). I was a bit concerned with the table next to us which had 3 lap dogs sitting at the table. I am a firm believer that pets (not service animals) should stay at home. Animals can have accidents and that does not help elevate the sanitary conditions of a restaurant. There was also a small brown mouse making several attempts into the restaurant while we were eating. It made for interesting entertainment.

I didn't have the highest of expectations, given this restaurant was a few hundred meters from London Victoria station. However of the three orders that we had, two were excellent. Would definitely return.

Impeccable service, really attentive staff who were very helpful. We felt really comfortable and relaxed here, the food was really nice too we were not disappointed. Definitely coming here again! ☺️

I enjoyed my experience at Santini, the ambiance made me feel relaxed and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. They would make sure our water glasses were always filled up which was really good service. The food tasted great, I would be more than happy to come here again. 😁

Unfortunately the food has gone way down here, it used to be fantastic and now just awful. Burn liver, which they did refund, over salted vegetables, a salad which zero dressing and a dried Milanese with a knob of butter thrown on! A spaghetti pomodorro which looked like canned spaghetti with soup on it! Over priced. The staff were lovely thiugh.

I love this chill and casual place. The seating outside the blankets and the food . I’d recommend the carpaccio , eggplant parmesiana and angel hair pasta .

The soup was great but they charged me $7 for water, plus a service charge. Noisy, cramped not "cosy". Servers were aloof.

Very easy to find, close to tube coach and rail options. Attractive outside appearance and internal decor, staff welcoming upon arrival , service prompt and friendly , seating at the table a little close to others. Lighting and music very pleasant. Comprehensive menu and wine list, food service prompt, nice table decoration, crockery and glasses. Food tasty and hot would certainly recommend to another or visit again. Good value.

A great place to spend an evening: highest quality food and excellent wines and champagne served with great skill and pride. A seat on the terrace on a warm evening is a really good way to enjoy northern Italian traditional and modern dishes in elegant surroundings.

Northern Italian food of the highest quality served by discreet and highly competent staff. It is always good fun dining here and the outside terrace is a great spot on a warm evening. The wine list is extensive and carefully-chosen. It is a haunt of the fashionable and well-advised diner and one is always nicely looked after with attentive but respectful service. Some good options to share with your other half as well as classics and some imaginative dishes.

Food, service, ambience, all excellent - but an expensive restaurant and adding 13.5% discretionary service charge is high. However, wouldn't prevent me from revisiting.

Staff very attentive and responded quickly to any requests. Very polite. Food very good but not exceptional. Location great - close to Victoria station. Seemed expensive to me but I do not live in London anymore.

We had never dined at Santini before. The dining room was lovely and their was a large terrace for outdoor dining. However, the doors to the terrace were wide open, making us wonder why the air conditioning was on inside. The food was phenomenally expensive. I had never seen a £27 dessert before and hope not to do so again any time soon. The food was indifferent. And the wait staff were not overly attentive. After attempts to hail a waiter from my seat failed, I walked over to one to ask for the bill. 13.5% had been automatically added to the bill for service. If you like good food but don’t like overpaying, this is not the place for you.

Our server was not attentive at all and the restaurant was not busy. A less than average experience. Food was only adequate.

High quality Italian food in a stylish venue surrounded by well-heeled and fashionable diners. One is well-looked after by highly professional staff who serve up authentic food with great aplomb. It is always a good night out to dine here.

We had a lovely meal for a birthday celebration and the food was simply delicious. This is not our first time visiting and felt like the service was just not quite up to what we had experienced previously. Our waitress did not engage with us at all and hummed as if she was bored whilst serving us - she may well have been but I don’t need to be made aware of that.

We ate outdoors in the garden/patio. The atmosphere was delightful! The meal was outstanding from the appetizer to the dessert. Our servers were kind & attentive- we were not rushed and were able to enjoy a relaxing meal. We will surely return!

Authentic Italian food of the highest quality in a very stylish venue, expertly and efficiently served. A good selection of dishes to share and some interesting choices as well as classics. A place to be seen. Has an elegant terrace alongside the main dining area and a more casual bar area.

I liked the look of the restaurant. The greeting at the door was poor and not very welcoming. The attention from staff was too much. I felt really pressured and hurried to eat our food and they were trying to clear plates before we’d even finished. The food was eyewateringly expensive and the flavours underwhelming. I wouldn’t go there again.

Santini was recommended by our friends as a must go to . Upon visiting my impression of the place wasn’t up to the expectations I had . The place is cosy but a bit old . The terrace in pictures looks much fancier . Service was ok but we had to wait until the waiter looks at us to get what we wanted . Food was good especially pasta with burrata but the rest was average especially the fried calamari .. in my opinion it was overrated

The food was overall. Portion sizes were too large. I think they should decide if they want to be a la catre or tapas style restaurant.

Great restaurant- fantastic steak and pastas… Wine list leave something to be desired but overall it was a good experience Be mindful that even the largest tables are quite small - so if you’re group of more than 6–8 it’ll be a tight fit

Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever eaten at. The Owner, Laura, made the experience extra special, once she found out that my husband had proposed to me the day before in France. Our trip to London was so memorable and forged a new friendship too. We can’t wait to go back there and refer all of our friends that visit London to go see her.

Excellent friendly service from Francesco 1 and Francesco 2 and from Remus. They looked after us well. The food was delicious, the tagliolini with lemon was wonderful. We'll be back soon. Restaurant is dog friendly.

Brilliant location and a fabulous atmosphere. The food is expensive but utterly worth it. You wouldn't regret choosing Santini for any type of occasion.

Very nice relaxed evening at Santini again. Our only complaint was that two tables close to us had a lot of smokers. Even outside that wasn't great and hasn't happened when we have been before. But all the things in Santini's control were excellent.

Great restaurant. Came here for father's day meal. Big table but they catered for us very well. Really great food, great selection of drinks. Worth another visit for a special meal, as it is very expensive.
