It is a wonderful place in every way. It is quite spacious, as you rarely find in London. It is clean and neat, with tasty food and quality service. They offer indoor service, but they also have a terrace. It offers a warm and pleasant atmosphere with a delicate ornament. The staff is very welcoming, caring, nice and friendly. I think it's worth a visit.

Went on a Sunday at 6pm in Balham, was filled with lots of family and noisy kids, decided to leave and not eat there .

Pizza Express Balham is great for families especially with young children. They are always so welcoming. We ate there yesterday evening and were served by Chris who we’ve had a few times and she’s wonderful. Really great with the kids and doesn’t mind all the mess they make. Really interactive and helpful. Great spot for an early dinner!

Good food, but we arrived at 9.15pm and asked if the kitchen was still open. Got told it was and as long as we ordered food by 9.45pm that was fine. Ordered as quickly as we could, knowing what we wanted, but before we’d even finished our pizza we were greeted with the bill and asked to pay, it hadn’t even got to 10pm which was the official closing time. Of course we paid, but we couldn’t have eaten any quicker and the meal ended up being spoilt by the waitress hovering over us to pay mid meal, poor service and etiquette!

Chris catered to my friends needs as he had a peanut allergy and he’s very appreciative of the nice gesture and service provided by Chris. He also thanks you for providing him with children colouring book to draw.

Chris who is one of the waitresses served us well. She’s funny and she has a good sense of humour. Relatable energy.

A great place to take kids for pizza- no judgement just very decent pizza and consistently nice staff!

Another delightful visit this afternoon for a late lunch with our young kids. The various staff were so kind and attentive, and really made the whole experience. My usual Calabrese was one of the spiciest I've had, and I enjoyed the new Pizza Express and Greenwich Mean Time beers. My kids at 6 & 4 find the kid's menu pizzas on the small side, so we also ordered an additional piccolo pizza which was good value. Wrapped the meal with some flat whites which were excellent. One thing: it is loud when busier. Despite acoustic panels, there are so many hard surfaces that it means for those that are hard of hearing (grandparents in our case), it makes conversations very hard.

Incredibly confusing voucher / offer scheme. Sat down to eat after being explained we could use the lunch menu offer and pay with Clubcard coupon. However when the bill came we were told that we could only use one or the other. Completely misled by the waiter. Won’t be coming back here again.

Had a birthday celebration for our daughters third birthday. Lovely staff, great food and brilliant atmosphere full of kids for a lovely kids birthday vibe.

Yesterday, my order did not get picked up by the courier company. Nonetheless, I want to give a glorious review for the restaurant as their food is usually outstanding. Furthermore, they did the very decent thing to call me to apologise on behalf of the courier company, they tried their best to get the order to me, but to no avail. The person who called me was amazing, and kind and polite. I’ll keep ordering despite the issue that was not pizza express’s fault

We've dined-in there before and it was great. Good food and service. Highly recommend! However, yesterday (Saturday night) we tried a delivery through the PizzaExpress website and it was bad. Arrived 15 minutes later than their late estimate and the 3 Romana pizzas were cold. Very disappointing. p.s. I understand that Saturdays are busy, but it's "expected" busy and it's definitely not an excuse to deliver cold pizzas.

Love Balham Pizza Express. The ambience is amazing and staff are extremely friendly and polite. Always happy to cater the guests according to their preferences, allergies etc. The food is delicious and chefs always deliver high quality food, maintaining cleanliness. It’s always clean inc the toilets and walkways. My kids love the desert section and it’s also great place to have birthday parties for the kids.

Food was great as usual. We were served by Chris who was very engaged with our baby. She made her laugh and encouraged her to eat. Chris even showed our baby how to make ice cream, which she loved ❤️ thank you For a great time Chris 😃

Had my 19th birthday dinner there and from the minute i walked through the door the staff were welcoming and cheerful, the service was absolutely fantastic, balham pizza express is my favourite pizza express to go to, the food was excellent and service was great and speedy, all the staff are wonderful and very helpful, made the experience so lovely, i would definitely recommend and will continue to dine there. Marco and team (Kazi, Chris, Asiri etc.) go out of their way to ensure the best experience possible at Pizza Express. Whether it’s a family or one person, they always find a way to make customers feel appreciated. This branch is also one of the most spacious and well kept. Very happy to be a regular here. Table 21

(LATE REVIEW, SORRY!!) I came here on Wednesday during the evening with my friend, and I received amazing service as always from Manager Marco, Sofiano, Chris, and the other girl, whose name I again didn’t get. Give them all a raise!

Decided to have a treaty lunch in the sun with my son. Ended up at pizza express. We’ve been there a few times and have been happy with the food and the service. This time was made extra special because of Chris, our waitress, who was an absolute star. My son has a number of allergies, which usually makes ordering things a chore. But Chris checked everything, gave us suggestions and actually managed to make the whole process a pleasure.
