We were a table of 8 including children and allergies and the staff were very patient and extremely Accommodating. All staff were working hard, the restaurant was spotless and the food was hot, fresh and tasty. A fabulous atmosphere and we all enjoyed the meal. Highly recommended

I recently picked up a takeaway from Pizza Express in Clapham Junction, and even though I wasn’t dining in, the experience was still top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the pickup process quick and pleasant. You could feel the positive atmosphere the moment you stepped in – they really know how to make customers feel valued, even for a quick stop. As always, the food didn’t disappoint. The dough balls were warm, fluffy, and absolutely delicious, paired perfectly with that rich, garlicky butter – easily one of the best comfort foods you can take home. Everything was packaged neatly and stayed hot and fresh by the time I got home. It’s clear that excellent service and great food are consistent here, whether you're dining in or taking it to go. Highly recommend!

During a recent visit to Pizza Express with my husband and friends, we were warmly welcomed into a lively and inviting atmosphere. The staff’s attentiveness ensured a pleasant dining experience. We began with the classic Dough Balls, served warm with flavorful garlic butter. For mains, we selected a variety of pizzas, including the American Hot and Pollo ad Astra, each featuring a crispy crust and generous toppings. The combination of delicious food and excellent service made for a memorable evening, and we look forward to returning soon.

Later than the original delivery time, appears to be the restaurant rather than the courier. Just be straight up to begin with, then I can decide if I want to keep everyone waiting until 10pm to eat or not!

Our Reception Class enjoyed a fantastic free cookery workshop at Pizza Express in Clapham Junction, and it was absolutely fabulous! Barbara explained all about the fresh ingredients and toppings used on pizzas, and each child got to make their own. A huge thank you to the amazing team at Pizza Express, Clapham Junction!

Ordered online. Extremely disappointed with the cold pizza. Slice are uneven and are hard to pull off. Sadly, this is a sign of employees that are need to be trained more or just lazy and unmotivated. Please talk to your employees!

shame it arrived lukewarm, barely hot at all - especially given said restaurant is down the road from delivery address. One would be better off collecting instead. Delivery driver was nice though!

Dear Pizza Express Management, I am writing to express my concerns regarding a recent visit to your establishment on Sunday 2nd February2025, during which I experienced extremely disappointing customer service. My husband, child, and I chose your restaurant for a late lunch, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by a lack of professionalism. To begin with, my child's Napoletana pasta was overcooked, dry, with a majority of it burnt beyond acceptance. When I approached the staff member who served us—a black woman with short braids—her dismissive attitude was surprising. She insisted that the pasta was not burnt, despite my clear description of its condition. When I requested a replacement, she continued to argue and, rather unprofessionally, muttered, "you're always complaining" as she walked away. Attempting to address my concerns with the manager was futile, as he chose to ignore my questions. As a paying customer, I found this experience both embarrassing, disgusting and disrespectful. I have always valued Pizza Express; however, this incident has left a lasting negative impression. I strongly recommend that your staff receive additional training in customer service. Hanna B

The service was laboured and challenging. Server could not speak English well so we spent most of our evening just guessing what he was saying. When we needed assistance with our baby he didn't understand and it all became complicated and convuluted. The pizza looked over dry and not fresh, too much sauce hardly any cheese. Overall service and food was lacklustre. Desserts however were great and so we're the drinks.

Pizza Express is a nice place for lunch or dinner.. we came in for late lunch and a drink. The atmosphere is very nice and staff is very friendly. They have some outdoor seating as well along the sidewalk so you can enjoy your lunch and people watch. The pizza is good.. but also very pricey for what it is. Nice place.

My 6yr old daughter had her birthday celebration this morning ( 10am ) which involved creating & eating pizzas made by each guest. Our host ( Camilla ) was absolutely amazing & was so good with the children, ensuring the many adults were also looked after with coffees etc. An absolutely amazing time with everyone enjoying themselves. Would highly recommend a child's party here.

My husband and I came to this branch for dinner. We are regular customer for the past few years, but today’s visit was exceptional thanks to Ashley the lovely extremely patient, attentive kind hearted lady. My experience at this pizzeria was okay. I liked the dough balls. While the ingredients were fresh and the food was decent, it didn’t quite stand out. An alright spot if you're in the area, but nothing extraordinary.

Shocked that the baby changing table is located in the ladies toilet. Staff were helpful in blocking the toilet for my husband to change the baby, but it meant there was a queue for women to use the disabled toilet and it was a waste of time for the staff member. What about families who aren’t able to use the ladies toilet? Are women the only ones who change nappies?

Awful experience at this restaurant. Didn’t get the food we ordered, massive mix up with the bill that they originally tried to blame on us then took ages to sort so the whole meal became a chore. However the worst was mixing up the vegan and gluten free food which resulted in one of our party being seriously ill. Seriously need to do better.

I regularly go to my local pizza express as I’ve recently been diagnosed as unable to have gluten. Sadly this pizza express is carnage. They confused gluten free with vegan. This resulted in me spending the night horrifically sick. As if this wasn’t bad enough they completely messed up the bill and had the audacity to say it was our fault that we had checked into the wrong table on the app. Given they stood by us and talked us through doing it at the start of the meal they knew fine well it wasn’t! I really think their staff need training on the importance of understanding allergies as it’s bad enough I’ve been passing blood all night, but other peoples allergies are even more severe!!!

I have been going to this Pizza Express for nearly 30 years, since I was a baby, in fact. I've been to many locations all over the country with all sorts of people, but frequent this one the most as it is close to my dad's family. This is fortunate, as it is the best of the best! I've never been disappointed with anything when we visit - top-notch food quality, lovely staff, beautiful aesthetic. It is the ultimate dining out experience, and we always feel welcomed, well-fed and generally satisfied. Can't recommend enough. Additionally, I have a gluten intolerance, and Pizza Express caters to this with a diverse amount of menu options whilst still maintaining fantastic taste and quality. If you are GF, it's even more appealing. Truly can't recommend it enough. Here's to another 30 years!

terrible didn't arrive disgusting service

Nice restaurant but quality was less than used to at other pizza express locations, the american hot doughballs, chicken parmigiana pasta and crispy potatoes were all pretty flavourless. Chicken parmagiana was £16 and I probably could have made it at home for £5, with much more taste. Our waiter was lovely, and atmosphere very nice with pretty lighting and a little view of the road/other restaurants. Would not come back, purely based on that there are plenty of authentic italian restaurants in Clapham that are far better quality for the same money.

Surprisingly good pizza if you eat in. Staff friendly. Primitivo delicious. But delivery not so good. Eat in is my advice.

As I was in the area I booked a table for my family. From the moment I walked through the door the unprofessional service started. Slow unprofessional service I gad to ask 6 times to get my table cleaned when the restaurant was not busy and staff to busy talking. There they would not give me military or blue light discount. What has happened to the uk poor service.

Enjoyed the whole meal well done

I visited the Clapham Junction branch worse possible service. I had a voucher and was then told they had problems with uploading the voucher on to the system. The manager tried to shift the blame on to me as I should told them from the beginning. The manager refused to give me his name as I was going to register a complaint, this is the worse case scenero of bad customer service on all levells, he was clearly in the red and refused to deal with the issue. I was then left waiting around for my bill. It's the managers attitude and he would not come up with no resolution what so ever.

Absolutely terrible. Waited an hour and twenty minutes to be told they had messed up the order.

Brilliant food lovely food and service

Chicken tender starters were over cooked. Potato salad was revolting. Potatoes barely cooked. Pizza was better but could have done with being cooked a little longer. How can you get such basic dishes so wrong?

First time visiting the branch. The staff and manager did amazing catering for us. They did a fantastic job and were so friendly. Food was spot on. Chefs did an amazing job. Made our dining experience ever so pleasent. They did so well with the kids. Highly recommend visiting the branch.

Was not happy with the last meal we had at this branch. One of our starters never arrived, but it still showed on the bill. The rest of our starters arrived at the same time as our mains. It took 20 minutes to bring water to the table although we requested it twice. My main topping wasn't on my pizza but the waitress lied and told me I'd ordered the wrong pizza. All the other toppings were there. All in all horrible customer service from our server.

Always been a lovely branch here whenever we’ve come. The waiters - a sweet blonde lady and a muscle built man - are lovely. There’s also a lovely welcome by the lady at the till/entrance. My pizza was drier than normal and the base was too thin to pick up with my hands. Will keep returning.

Arranged to meet family in London and this was a central venue (used here before) Although the place was quiet the service was not so good. Taste of food was okay but wrong orders arrived which spoils things if you are in a large group, we also spent a tidy sum but I didn't think overall it was VFM. Will look foremother venue next time.

Really disappointed as I like pizza express, I ordered an American hottest, the flavours were nice but I was sat 12 feet from an open kitchen & my food arrived like warm, the middle of the pizza base was soft & chewy, really not good, the pepperoni was was strangely hard, the top of the pizza looked dry and very Matt, there pizza used to look glossy & appetising. I was half way through my pizza when the waitress arrived and asked if I would like chilli oil or black pepper, there were 15 people in the restaurant so it was not like they were under pressure, really poor service. To put things in perspective my pizza was £18.45 & with a couple of beers & a side the bill was over £40 for one person, really not good value for money. Really sad to see how far pizza express have fallen, they used to be one of my favourite chains but I don’t think I will be going back.

We had a large 30+ people birthday lunch and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Food came quickly and was very good. Staff great and friendly. Barbara (Manager) and her team were amazing.

Bad experience, bad quality food, bad service.

Very bad service, bad quality food. No going to any pizza express never again. They are not professional at all, we spent more that 30 minutes to order, no one were coming even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Then we spent almost 50 minutes to get served and food quality was horrible.

Disappointed on this visit, although the manager did try to rectify but a little too late. Waited over an hour for food in a restaurant with at least 5 members of staff and only 4 tables in the whole restaurant. Two members of staff at entrance having their own conversations while one whi served us seemed to be doing all the work! Not the Pizza Express we know and love.

We came here for my boyfriend's birthday. The service was great and the food was delicious. The waitress was very efficient and customer-friendly. I had the vegan padana pizza on a classic base and I loved it. My boyfriend also loved his vegan giardiniera. As a vegan, I love that this place has a separate vegan menu. It makes choosing so much easier. We'll definitely be back here.

Went this afternoon on my own, was welcomed instantly with a smile at the door. The service was fast and friendly. Will recommend this branch to anyone. I would visit again. The standard and cleanliness of the restaurant was very good. I even used the app to pay. Very good. Pizza was delicious!

Friendly, very attentive service! Good food, good selection, but unfortunately very expensive...

Firstly, I love Pizza Express, so will have no issues going to eat out in my local. However, it did not work with the JE home delivery - food was just under 30 mins late for a pre-ordered delivery (left PE late), arrived cold and with a main pizza missing. The taste, once heated was okay (due to hungry children had to do via microwave rather than oven). Happy with serving portions and costs. It is hard to recommend home delivery based on my experience - delivery time, food temperature and missing item.

Absolute vile. Visited tonight with my two young kids and partner and they served us up a pizza cut in quarters on 2 plates. Both plates were inconsistent and one had pepper on it. We ordered a whole margarita and didn’t ask for it to be cut up. The staff kept looking over at us watching us eat it clearly giving us leftover pizza. I’ve complained but will never return here. Staff are always rude at this branch and always find my disabled child annoying because she has to be seated with her pram/wheelchair and they have to accommodate. Disgusting staff, no manners and health and safety issue to be feeding customers old food. Not kid friendly, not disabled friendly. Staff need training. Food is disgusting.

Don’t usually review but the staff were so great accommodating my toddler and his baby brother today. They all went above and beyond - especially the staff member who chased me down the street to return my son’s favourite book! Big thank you!

Why O Why can't you order extra Garlic on your Pizza. Come on Pizza Express I've been eating at your restaurants for over 40years and I'm now forced to bring in my own chopped garlic. What's this world coming too? Tonight I'm disappointed because at the last minute we decided on pizza but sadly haven't been home to prep my garlic. What options are available? Garlic butter and Garlic Oil. Not the same, Not the same.....

Had dinner there last night. Service was good but the pizza’s were awful. So thin they were basically see through and completely tasteless.

You can't go wrong with Pizza Express and the Clapham Junction restaurant is really great, food always delicious with fast and friendly service. The new App is certainly one of the best and the shift manager on duty on Sunday 12th November evening was brilliant, really helpful and took time to explain how to get the most benefit from the App.

I went here with my family, 7 adults and 2 children, fantastic service, staff were very accommodating, patient and helpful with kids menus and taking our order. Food was lovely, very impressed with everything as was a busy time of day. Hope to visit here again next time we are in the area.

Pizza Express Clapham Junction is a very good option for a Italian meal. The food is good, the service is friendly, the staff are friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is relaxed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Didn't think much of this pizza...hardly any topping or sauce on it, for £16.00 it was pretty small....not impressed.

Usually enjoy the food, been to the one near Edgware Road loads. This one, Not much of a welcome feeling and was put off by the manager. Being new to the rewards system I asked a question and honestly not going back to that particular branch anytime soon. Having others complain aswell for similar problems was the nail in the coffin to be honest. Re training in customer experience from entry to exit. Some background music to break up the silence.
