Pizza Express in City of London, Westminster

The food was okay, but very greasy. We had to wait forever (50 minutes) for our food and the acoustics were so loud that it gave us a headache after the visit. Not recommendable.

Delicious, a real pizza express.

I will give this place all positive ratings because, despite the focus of the establishment, it was tasty, fast, good service for a reasonable price. What else does a tourist need when moving from attraction to attraction?

Well I was greeted by a young man and sat down,u ordered sparkling water butwas told there was non in stock, so I ordered a lime and soda, expecting cordial lime with the soda I was given a piece of lime over ice in a glass, 5 min later I cought the attention of the young man and asked for some cordial and was told there wasn't any which I found strange that Pizza express and advertising lime and soda. I was served by a lovely young lady with brown hair who had a lovely smile served my pizza which I ordered the American Hot where on requested added black pepper as a topping, on eating my pizza I wasn't approached once to see if everything was alright with my meal by the young man as I noticed he was approaching 2 other tables where there was young ladys seated a few times. After my meal I asked for my bill. The young man brought it and stood over my table with his card matching looking down at me. Now as I visit alot of restaurants I find that very rude because if someone has finished there meal and ask for the bill you take it and leave it on the table and go u till the customer is ready to pay for the bill, I had spoke to a manager about the situation and she apologise for the young man's behaviour

They have no idea what real pizza is. Bad dough that is paper thin and tasteless. Can really be done better. There was dirt in one glass.

Popped in for some desserts with my wife and 5 year old, got shown to a seat. When we were seated we were then asked to leave stating that we can only order desserts if we get a starter. Wouldn’t be half as bad if we were actually asked if we wanted to order a starter before being shown the door. Never experienced this in a pizza express before, even when popping in for some desserts when the occasion arose. So if I understand it we could have spent an extra £4 on some olives and that would have somehow been ok, but now they have lost a loyal customer who has been going to pizza express for years. Guess only high value customers are appreciated these days. Will take my custom elsewhere.

Nice place with friendly, prompt service. Can be busy so probably worth booking.

The food was delicious but the service was horrible. We had to wait for 45 minutes for our order. We had ordered starters and pizza and after roughly 30 minutes of giving our order we told asked if it is possible to at least bring the starter we were told that they will bring everything together.

Amazing Romana crust pizza (we had American), vegan mozzarella was incredible. Top notch thin-crust pizza, and the view is quite stunning. Kudos to Pizza Express in all honesty.

Pizzas are not that extraordinary. Pizza Hut is better. Kids took the kid menu. They did not receive their starters. They took bolognese pasta. It came with black pieces. I thought it was black olives but no. Pasta were burned here and there!

Well, for this price i was expecting some quality, but it’s not even near it, i ordered American Hot Pizza because i like my pizza spicy, well not a single spark of spicyness hit my taste buds, the worst part is that it was burned and hard as a rock, “butter & garlic” dip is just rock hard butter, service was close to “okay”, i don’t recommend this place, disappointing!

Nice view of the cathedral. Everything else was terrible. The servers were rude. The service was atrocious. I literally had to get up from my table and order, after waving down two waiters who just ignored me. The food was cold too.

Quite expensive for its services, thin and dry-ish pizza crust, the ingredients were few, but with good quality meat and cheese. Still hungry after finishing.

Had the chicken escalope. My friend had the pizza with salad in the middle. Service was excellent. When you want to have a good value meal, Pizza Express is still a good option after all these years.

This restaurant leaves something to be desired on certain points, for example finding pieces of plates in its pasta (at the risk of breaking a tooth), however they caught up by offering them to us. Even if the music and a little loud adds atmosphere. It's still a good restaurant I would recommend it.

I always like this chain as the food tends to be consistently good and you can judge each location based on cleanliness and service. Recommended.

We stopped here on a Saturday evening without booking and even though it was busy the staff found us a table straight away. Food was delicious, hot and came quickly, and the portions were big so they gave us a container to take the rest home. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Myself and the husband were both in London with work and the daughter lives here so we thought we'd get together for a bite to eatI like Pizza Express as a simple (know we all like) place to eat, and using the Tesco Clubcard vouchers makes it even cheaperWe all stuck with our usuals (I love the Pollo Pesto) and it did not disappoint

We were ignored by staff as 5 staff cleared tables. Restaurant wasn't even busy. Waited for a menu for at least 15 minutes, once menu was given, we were ignored again so left. Plenty of other restaurants in area with great service.

La pizza était bien garnie et très bonne. Le service était pas top. En effet, ils ont oubliés de nous apporter l’entrée que nous avions commandé. Aussi, l’établissement semblait un peu manquer d’hygiène (plafond sale, les verres pas très propres, etc).

Ordered the house favorite chicken pizza and was quite happy but the garlic bread with cheese was a disappointed. Service just about made the cut but the pizza kinda made up for all of it.

Nos detuvimos en Pizza Express durante nuestra pausa de almuerzo. Un lugar muy ocupado! Pedimos alitas de pollo, bolas de masa y ensalada césar. Entregado rápido! Las alas y las bolas de masa estaban bien, pero la ensalada César fue excepcional! El aderezo César fue perfecto! El personal fue rápido, eficiente y amable. ¡Muy recomendable!

Llegaron a las 10:30 pm, cierran a las 11 y siguieron adelante e hicieron nuestra Barbacoa Pizza, que fue increíble. También teníamos unas alas con limón que no eran tan buenas. Cerveza estaba helada, que era una ventaja! Nos hicieron un capuchino para ir, que era realmente bueno. ¡Volverá! Excelente camarero y gerente!

I was in the St Paul’s area at night recently. I was suddenly taken unwell and my daughter asked the restaurant manager if I could come in. As it was a big city I expected to be refused. However I was treated with incredible kindness & concern. I may not have eaten there.. but every member of staff .. at both sides of the counter could not have been kinder or more concerned. Rest assured when I am back in London I will be going to this restaurant again.. to eat and enjoy the company of the wonderful staff who work there. Many thanks to them all.

Good atmosphere, well-done interior with a cozy vibe to it, large place though. I order a "donut-kind-of-pizza" and it was super cool it was like a hollow pizza, and it tasted really good!

The enviroment was very nice and cozy. The menu was great. Not alot to choose from, but after all i imaged this being a pizzaplace. We ate pasta and pizza, and we really enjoyed our food. I would eat here again.

We were hungry after visiting St Paul's and we needed something hearty. We were fortunate to find Pizza Express. The pizzas were well cooked and delicious. We got the dough ball appetizer and it was good as well.

We arrived 3pm the Monday of the February half term and was surprised to see it so busy, we waited around 10 mins for a table which was fine & we were pleased to get seated. View was great, looking straight over at St Paul’s. Although it was busy the food & service was of a good standard.

I had a voucher and was a bit dismayed on arriving for lunch to find that this restaurant was packed to the gunwales. Yet ...... albeit I was a solo diner, the staff were rushed off their feet and the manager was having to cope with a difficult customer at the next table, I had exemplary service. Quick, efficient and the staff were charming. And the meal was good too. Despite the name of this chain, one doesn't have to have pizza! I had an excellent pasta dish (pollo pesto) preceded by chicken wings.

Popped in as my cousin has a taste card with 2for1. Staff friendly and attentive. My lasagne and cheesecake very nice. Good view across to front of Paul's cathedral too.

Muy bien gestionado. La gerente muy atenta y trabajadora. Es una cadena que cuida mucho al cliente y el producto. Las Pizzas muy buenas y la tarta de chocolate fudge tremenda. Le pongo dos fallos. La carta es algo corta y los postres del menú infantil no tienen sentido. Pan mojado en chocolate o brownie durillo no son para niños. Echo en falta fruta, por ejemplo. Tampoco pinta mucho el entrante que les ponen con pepino y tomates cherries laminados. Si es verdad que les dan cositas para pintar y los tienen entretenidos. La música muy animada.

Llegamos al restaurante alrededor del mediodía y, como era el sábado anterior a Navidad, ya estaba lleno de gente. Por lo tanto, los camareros estaban al máximo - esperábamos casi una hora para nuestra comida, que es realmente demasiado larga.

Llegamos y nos sentamos y nos fuimos para ver el menú que estaba bien.

Sono sempre un po’ prevenuta sulle pizzerie all’estero, questa volta mi sono ricreduta: molto meglio di pizze mangiate in Italia! Ci sono 2 versioni di pizza classica e romana. Si differenziano perché la romana è più larga e sottile...Ottime entrambe! Ambiente semplice, personale cordiale e disponibile. Bravi! Ci torneremo!

My partner and I visited on 15/10/18 around 2pm. Initially, we got serves quickly and our pizzas came within a reasonable time. It was busy but there were several waiters milling around. The pizzas were lovely (as is usual for PE). I asked for the dessert menu, and water brought me the bill. He then brought me the dessert menu but failed to come back to out table despite noticing we were waiting to order and passing us by. We waited and waited and gave up. Then, had to wander around to ask a waiter for the bill. The bill was put on our table but no one came back to take our money. So again, I walked around and tracked another waiter down to pay. We wasted around 30 minutes when we were sightseeing and were keen to get on with our day! I politely told the waiter (who failed to attend to us) that I thought the service the provided was poor and he smiled and Wales away. I also mentioned to be manager who again smiled and seemed to acknowledge. The place is buzzing with people all day, every day no doubt which means they can get away with terrible service. I would avoid this place.

Es una cadena por todo Londres, en concreto nosotros estuvimos cerca del Shakespeare Globe Theater, una experiencia terrible, carisimo para lo que comimos, una pizza que era enana, en forma de donut porque Le faltaba el centro y habían puesto canónigos sin aliñar, fina y sin ningún sabor. No volvería ni recomendaría nunca

Used TA to check out this venue when visiting St Paul's Cathedral. Pleasant atmosphere with very good service. You have a choice of crust. We choose thin crust with a Romano and Margarita pies. The caramel latte was very good. Recommend. Hope this helps.

Good Tasty Pizza , friendly customer service and nice view. Considering this place is at Tourist Hotspot I expected food not to be that great and service to be rushed, but I felt quite opposite and had a great experience.

Se trata de una cadena que tiene varias pizzerías repartidas por Londres. Es un local moderno, situado enfrente de la Catedral de San Pablo con buena música y buen ambiente. Las pizzas son bastante grandes y más que suficientes para una persona. Pedimos una Padana (14,70 libras), una romana Quattro Carni (15,25 libras) y otra Vegana Giardinier (13,90 libras) La cerveza Peroni Gran Ris a 4,75 libras cada una y la botella de agua 2,95 libras. Nos gustaron mucho y el servicio excelente.

Leckeres Essen zu zweit. Atmosphäre leider wenig gemütlich. Hat eher was von Kantine. Dafür war das Personal sehr aufmerksam. Bolognese war leider aus. Aber mir wurde eine Alternative vorgeschlagen die dann auch sehr lecker war.
