So Agile Rabbit does pizza by the slice and they have it out there on the counter, so when i'm just walking past trying to just go about my business I just see it and I end up buying a slice even if i don't want one... I usually get a margarita slice, a square from the middle, and put chilli oil on and then run away to hide my shame. the people who work there are all really lovely and pretty good looking too, and one time the guy was like "uhh... do you want a pizza loyalty card?" because i had been there so many times. i took the card. i'm filling it up. try the chilli oil, it's really nice! it's also vibey because it's right in the market.

Stopped here whilst visiting the Sunday Market with my mum. Didn't seem too busy and had a nice table outside for us to sit with our dog. A friendly waitress took our order and answered some questions for us about what was vegan etc... Unfortunately that's where the good service ended. We ordered 2 juices and 2 vegan breakfasts. After nearly 20 minutes of waiting we managed to flag a member of staff down to see where our order had got to, we were in no rush but we hadn't even received our drinks at this point. The juices and breakfasts arrived 10 minutes later at the same time. Although we weren't in a rush, the wait seemed extreme and there was little apology from the staff and it was clear that the order had been forgotten about. The breakfast was outrageously overpriced...10£ for a small bowl of sweet potatoes, 2 spinach leaves and some tomatoes with a piece of flatbread. It's tasted OK but for the price it was underwhelming. The table next to us had a similar experience. Overall, although we were happy to sit and chat and weren't in a particular rush, service could definitely do with an improvement. Wouldn't want to eat here when it was actually busy.

Nice set up and good pizza flavours. Slices too big to hold the sauce and toppings without becoming floppy so it's a messy eat. But good value. A few more staff smiles and table prep would be an easy way to improve it.

Possibly the worst restaurant customer service I’ve ever experienced. We were only in here a day ago enjoying the pizza and local IPA . Tonite Ordered 3 pints of the local craft beer “ Canopy Beer Brockwell IPA “ along with two Pizzas to share with friends .. sitting outside on a dirty table full of empty glasses and a full ashtray we ordered three beers and two pizzas ... after 20 minutes later our order arrived with the drinks all in different shaped glasses and on taking one sip of the beers one could tell it wasn’t the local IPA we had ordered ... they had served a different lager ??? So we flagged down the waiter and said this wasn’t our order??? ... to which he took the tray back to the bar ... another 10 mins sitting outside thinking what was going on ???? We were presented with a bill for £107.00 and told to pay up ??? We then explaining we were new customers and that we had ordered three Canopy IPA’s ( Brockwells ) .... another 10 mins we were finally confronted with an aggressive looking blonde haired waiter holding the same drinks we had sent back ..... who proceeded to tell us we had ordered those drinks and that we needed to pay for them !!!! We seriously had to argue around 10 mins with him which resulted in him saying that they didn’t offer Canopy beer and that they only had the beers he had poured !! But being local actually living a few doors away from the agile and only being in there a day ago drinking the brockwell IPA we all felt we had to stand ground as could see the canopy tap on display from the table !! to which point another waiter took over ... who then with no apology replaced the beers and delivered the right ones to our table ... along with the pizzas we had ordered .... Unfortunately having experienced the worst customer experience ever the main topic was just how awful the staff were.... I’ve seriously never been made to feel as awful !! Over simple new staff not being trained on what’s for sale... it’s not the locals it’s your staff training !! Having finished our first round of correct drinks We then tried to reorder another round to finish our meal but was then told by a woman who had been hanging around opposite us the who time that she was the manager and that we had sworn at the staff ??? And that we needed to pay and leave !!! To which point everyone on the table was totally flabbergasted ... as at no point ever did we swear or get aggressive ... I’m sorry to say that the experience tonite has been the worst ever in 30 + years of eating out... We paid the bill and went else where , but seriously the whole night was ruined and dominated by the whole bad experience. Absolutely without question the worst experience I have ever had over new staff not knowing what’s on tap and zero customer service or recovery after a hiccup !! Over the last week I’ve spent £100+ at the agile as I like the pizza but never again as tonite will remain forever !! Absolutely appalling !! Sorry.

Popped into this casual eaterie in the indoor Market for a quick bite before a gig last night. It’s a small restaurant (as per most of the units in there), casual wooden tables and chairs, but a really nice feel...quite rustic and perfect for a casual pizza place in that location. It’s a relatively small menu, with a few small starters, with maybe 15 or so pizzas, and a couple of desserts. I was very happy with the choices available :) I had the vegan mixed-veg for 9.50, which was a good size and topped with lots of delicious fresh veg...so so tasty! I ordered extra fresh chilli on top which was perfect. I’m not a huge pizza-lover, but I really liked this. My friend had the pepperoni for £9 and she loved hers too. The waitress was lovely, helpful and friendly & the vibe was nice and relaxed. So I’ve given it a 5 rating because it suited was I was after: Tasty Food , Good Food, Quick friendly Service, Casual with a good vibe and a great price. We will be back...thanks guys! :)

Having been frequent visitors to the Brixton village branch we had high expectations as their pizza is lovely but we were unfortunately let down. The pizza base was chewy rather than crispy and the whole pizza felt like it needed longer in the oven (was cold when it arrived and the toppings didn’t seem well cooked), I could maybe get over that but the sevice was a total let down down. We were there 30 minutes before getting a glass of water! It was slow despite there being plenty of staff working. They do cocktails and I wonder if thats the reason for the delay as people who arrived after us got served very quickly and even got drinks when they ordered them (wine and beer). Leave the cocktails off the menu and work on your pizza and service.

So the new Agile Rabbit in Herne Hill is open. It shares the same upbeat atmosphere as the Brixton branch. A DJ playing great songs at just the right volume. Loud enough to get people in the mood, but still adequate for a conversation without having to yell. The downside of this setting is unfortunately the pizzas. The menu boasted sourdough, which the pizzas didn't quite live up to. If they were sourdough pizzas then they've been massively under proved. The characteristic chewy earthiness wasn't there, neither was the dough hydration. On reflection, no pizza is bad pizza and the cocktails were great. Good match for the price point, and the dough could be a teething problem.

Before I start moaning about the absolutely shocking service it’s worth noting that the pizza’s are really nice. Crispy, lots of topping and nice and hot. However the service is a joke and I just cant get past the fact that while we waited for over 1 hour for one set of pizzas and another 30 minutes for the other set there was a constant stream of takeaways getting done before us. I don’t mind waiting so much but when there’s two ravenous kids in the party and they couldn’t even give us the garlic bread to placate them, it’s a bit of a joke. Despicable establishment. I recently went with a rather large group of people the the agile rabbit for dinner. After waiting a considerable amount of time to place our order we were finally greeted with a sour host who was willing to do so. Time continued to tick and at around the 40 minute mark the chef came out to inform us that they would not be able to serve any of us as they had run out of dough in the kitchen. No apology, no sincerity, no desire to make amends, just a wave to send us on our way. We were all genuinely baffled that 'management' (I use that word loosely as clearly there is none) allowed such a large group of people to sit down, place an order and wait close to an hour before realising they were actually unable to serve them. Don't waste your time here, there are multiple venues in the market with highly welcoming and able staff who would be delighted to have your business. Needless to say their food is also far superior to the agile rabbit.

The Agile Rabbit is unapologetic, Has stuck around for the past 5 years and serves the best pizza in Brixton and possibly the whole of London. The staff are exclusively Italian and often you can hear them loudly arguing and smashing plates about in the kitchen. The daily specials concocted by their head chef Nico are unreal and the menu is large enough to cater to even the fussiest eater. The Agile rabbit plays live alternative music from Thurs-Sat and it is usually loud enough to wake the neighbours. They couldn't care less and that is exactly why we love them! Very Brixton!

We were ready on arrival, to order our usual choices. At five o'clock today, a chilly Saturday in December, only two customers seated on the exterior benches next to us, business very quiet. Three staff, a very glamourous woman actually working, serving drinks to the other customers. The male cook was too busy slicing mushrooms to notice us, the other worker was immersed in her mobile, chatting loudly in Italian. bad manners, dismail attitude. We left.We did, however, walk past Franco Manca Pizzas and they were very busy. There's a lesson for the owners, I reckon.

In fact the music could have been a little louder in order to drown out the conversation from the table next to ours which was, I am sure, unintended, hilarious. The pizzas were excellent, really thin crisp bases, tasty tomato sauce and good toppings. Easily some of the best pizza I have had in a while. I'd definitely return but would probably try to sit further inside as the neighbouring butchers and fishmongers were a little off putting.

First of all, I am a bit of a pizza snob, after travelling around Italy, had many excellent pizza in Naples, Rome and many other italian cities.... I kind of know what a good pizza is, I didn't expect is going to be as good as those in Italy (or some places in the UK).... defintely not from this place.First of all, I like the down to earth look and atmosphere of this place, a bit kirky feel to it! (some may call it pretentious) but I kinda of like it (and hope that they serve a good pizza)... unfortunately not.I leared that the most important of an excellent pizza is about the dough, tomatoe sauce, after that cheese and finally toppings but the dough from this place is SUCK!!!!I am not trying to compare their pizza to Neapolitan pizza, cos Rome style usually more crispy based but I have never had a pizza crust would fall apart into small pieces with you pick it up by hand OR spread into small pieces with cut once with a knife. The tomato sauce on the pizza is tasteless. (almost non existed) and the pizza was tasteless over allThe waitress who served us was totally out of it... not just she put the music way to loud, don't think Brixton Village (market) is a place for this and when I asked if they have dry chilli flakes and she brought us chilli old (obviously not paying any attention) and then I went to ask her dry chilli flakes and she said this usually have to pay extra for it (ummmm... have I said anything that I am not willing to pay?) and she brought fresh green chilli on the table! (again showing this waitress either not paying attention at all or just having one of those bad attitude that not willing to do her basic job by listen to customer request?), please don't get me wrong, she wasn't rude to us or anything, she just out of it and being unpofessional that's all.£10 a pizza, in this kind of settings, I will definitely would say is cheap or good value, especially the pizza was sooo badly made! There are plenty of much better pizza you can get for cheaper and more importantly nicer!!!Another one to avoid, just not worth to waste your calories on.

When we went it was the chef himself who had to come to welcome us, since after two minutes standing there it showed like everybody else was too busy speaking in the kitchen or chatting in whatsapp. The waitresses are clueless. They put the music at such volume that we had to shout to each other in order to be able to have a conversation. Plus, the TV was showing a tennis game on a very high volume as well, contributing to the cacophony. Waitresses were sitting on the customers' tables while playing with the phone and overall their attitude was bad and annoying. The terrace is nice but is surrounded by fishmongers and butchers so the smell there is far from pleasant. It is truly a pity because what comes out from the kitchen is high quality, but everything else is a bit let down.Won't come back.

I am not sure if the food is good or not, unfortunately we never got to try it. Last Friday we met a friend and the 3 of us passed by this place that we didn´t know but it looked good so we asked the girl with afro hair how long was the wait. She said it shouldn't be more than 15 min so we decided to wait outside standing up and first at the queue, just to make sure we were the next ones to get a table. They offered a drink but we decided to wait to be sited before ordering drinks. All fine. After 20 min we asked another French lady blonde with a hat, if we should wait for a bit longer, because if it would take too long we could go and find another place. She pointed the table at the back on the left, she said they were about to pay and that we could get that table. All great and we got excited. As soon as the table at the back on the left left we were on the way to sit down, when suddenly the afro hair girl said to stop, because that table was booked and that we should have booked a table before. WHAT??? POKER FACE, by that time we waited for 30 minutes outside. If they knew we have to book how on earth could they leave us waiting there????? most restaurants in Brixton Village don't take bookings and suddenly after a 30 min wait on a busy Friday with all restaurants packed that lady has the face to tell us that we should have booked, after having us waiting for 30 min!!! surely they could have told us before???? no need to say that I promised the 2 ladies to give them a terrible review online.

They seem to have a skeleton staff on which means that diners are grumbly...everything takes ages. If they can just get the service right the pizzas will sell themselves...

We ordered water, it came, which was nice. We then ordered Pizza, one Aubergine, anchovies and olive and one Ham and Mushroom. Half an hour later, with the restaurant as busy as a grave yard one pizza finally made it to the table. The waitress plops it down, before me saying where is the other pizza? She replied, yeah sorry we burnt that one. Oh ok, a little disappointed that a pizza restaurant failed to cook a pizza...here's a question, how many chefs does it take to burn a pizza? answer = 4. Now turning our attention to the "pizza" presented in front of us...beautifully cremated around the edges with a mouth watering raw middle. And too our amazement after me saying to my girlfriend "are you going to eat that", the waitress replied "we serve all our pizza's like that"....well reading the other "great" reviews, she's not wrong. In fairness the waitress did say they were "manic", head count total = 7 including the 4 chefs. We then politely declined the offer of overpriced burnt/raw pizza and went along to one of the great restaurants around the corner where a bit more normality was found. If you fancy good pizza.... try Franca Manca in Brixton Market.

Went in here on Sunday afternoon, about 4pm so hardly anyone around. Only 2 other tables had customers. Ordered the special pizza as did my friend. Some 45 mins later I asked if it would be much longer and the waiter admitted he'd forgotten to put it through. He was very nice and apologetic, and gave us a free drink, but really no excuse for it when the restaurant was so quiet! Food is wonderful though, and it wouldn't stop me going back.

We went for a relaxed lunch and came away very underwhelmed...we had dealings with 3 people...the owner, who was laid back and friendly, the girl in the dreadlocks who was bubbly and friendly...and then there was the surly waitress...it looked like she wanted to avoid taking any orders and behaved like she was doing us a favour when she finally brought us our drinks...quite a cow.Unfortunately, the pizza was poor...both of them...we had a mushroom and pepperoni...there was too little topping, there was little flavour, they were undercooked (no colour on the cheese...just melted) and oily...we took some of it home but decided on the way to throw it in the bin.Shame really, the venue looked like fun....thankfully there is a lot of choice so we will go elsewhere next time...

Ok so before you think I'm an anal retentive pain in the... really I'm not. I'm pretty generous with people so if I say it was bad..I know it has one of those swing open fronts but it was flipping cold & the place was empty so close the doors for godsake ! Then ordered pizza coffe & drink. Drink arrived no coffee had toask for it 10 mins later. Then no pizza for ages so had to ask again many mins later. Pizza drab tasteless and tiny portion left us hungry so went round corner & had a massive rice peas & jerk chicken for half the price ! If only her mobile had been banned the waitress might have noticed the only 2 customers there ! Won't be going again

Great pizza, great prices (don't believe anyone who tells you it's expensive, it's not: 3 of us ate here last week for under £20 all up), live music, funky atmosphere.

I love this place, it's a mainstay for me on a Friday night to go and see live music, grab a slice of pizza and have a drink with friends. The owner, Victor is an affable guy, and the staff are generally always happy to serve you whatever you ask for.Situated in the heart of Brixton, in Brixton Village market, it's very easy to get to from the tube. Most of the time it's very busy which is both good and bad, the downside is you may not get a seat.. the upside is that there's lots of people to meet and chat to while you're listening to good music..Worth a visit, definitely, prices aren't sky high, the only problem is no toilet, so you have to pay 20p around the corner for the public lavatories.

I live locally so I am not too fuzzed about the new hip Brixton Market, it was great without the continental delights too!! But a quick pizza from The Agile Rabbit on the go made me really angry after all... for £2.50 I was handed over a verry old , cold slice directly in hand..so, I did ask for a paper plate..the youngster looked at me very surprised, but found one in the end ..I handed over some cash and could clearly see his math not working so well to hand back the remaining cash - took forever to get it right..well , it was school holiday.. not saying any more.. Its all very greasy .

The pizza base wasn't particularly good and it all looked a little try-hard when it came out on paper. Tables all sticky. Not a great experience and don't plan to return.

This place, with a band playing some groovy beats, is a funky little gem tucked away in Brixton Village. Has a rustic and vibrant feel to it which really adds to the character of the place but of course may not be exactly to everyone's liking. When I was there the clientele was a mixed bag with older couples to younger teenagers and everything in between. Frankly its a great place for an easy lunch with a lively atmosphere and well worth the effort to find hidden away behind Brixton Station.

Love this place. You can order pizza by the slice or whole, eat it standing up or at the bar. And then hey presto, out comes some cool dudes to play all sorts of instruments just alongside you. As with all places in Brixton Market, great atmosphere and decent prices.

popped into brixton village for a bite to eat and decided to try the agile rabbit as I had been told it was as good as franco manca for pizza. First impression was that the pizza looked good, but my wife commented the table needed a wipe over.. ordered two pizza's to share (among 2 adults t kids) and had a couple of juices and a couple of cokes and the pizzas were very fresh and very thin and delicious, nothing to dislike but not quite as good as franco manca, also it was a busy saturday afternoon and so people were brushing past, but hey ho its brixton on a sat afternoon so to be expected... overall recommended and would come again but perhaps in the evening when the other nearby shops etc are closed..

My husband and I popped into Brixton Village for another restaurant late one Wednesday afternoon. Having found the other restaurant closed we decided to try this. The Pizzas hit the £8-£9 mark but I was in the mood for some Calzone which comes in at just under a fiver. They were freshly made in front of us. Not as big as some of the other pizzerias I've eaten in but that's ok because with the other places I find that the Calzone are made up of lots of dough with very little filling. This was the right amount of dough full of ingredients. My husband had the artichoke, tuna and chilli one (there may have been another ingredient) and I had the ricotta cheese, mushroom and ham. What I really liked was that this was not swamped by tomato sauce which allowed the flavours of the fillings to be tasted and it had lovely oil drizzled over it. Loved the fact that I wasn't paying over the odds for a can of coke as well. They were in the process of putting up a screen and there was a chap behind us beating on a variety of items in time with the music that was playing - free entertainment - can't say fairer than that. My only gripe is that it seemed the tables had not seen a cloth in some time and I'm not a fan of sticky dirty tables. Once they've been given a good scrub everything will come up shiny and happy.
