Waited over an hour for mine and my children's food. Wasn’t checked on to see if everything was ok food wise. The worst service I’ve ever witnessed. I eventually asked for it to be boxed up as I just wanted to leave. When we looked at our order it was pretty much slap dash. I will not be eating here again.

To “General Manager” worst service of my life, an hour of waiting for my order, it never came, they forgot to give my order to the chef, I had to go to another place for lunch, slow service, Bad management! Never go back! the waiter in black is unhelpful and yes the general manager check the CCTV and you will see poor and slow service concerning me

We had a pleasure of visiting Pizza Express in Harlow yesterday. We got our table quick even though the restaurant was pretty much full. The staff was very prompt and welcoming. We got informed about waiting times but everything was served really quick. Maybe it felt like that because the waiters and the were at our table not only to help with the order but also to have a chat etc which made it nice touch. The food was great and we enojoyed the atmoshere. Definetely be back there.

I came here for dinner with my family, i saw multiple waiters and waitresses sitting down and not doing anything. I waited an hour to be served my starter and another 45 minutes to be served my main. The table was not cleaned even after my main was given to me. The food was lukewarm and several people came up to the door, waited at least 15 minutes and walked away. If i knew the service was like this i would have walked away too. I tried going to the toilet but they were all out of order so i sat though my half enjoyed meal while needing the toilet. People were seated but after the long wait to be served they got up and left!

We had a great time at the restaurant yesterday at lunch. The atmosphere was fantastic and the restaurant was full but didn't feel crowded. Young girl that was serving us was smiling and gave us lots of advice. The manager came to talk and joke with us and even asked about our kids names who loved it. It was a nice touch and she called their names every time she was coming to check how were doing and if we needed anything. It's really best place for family lunch.

I am from Tabasco, Mexico and an extraordinary place to eat, the pizzas are delicious. The staff who attended to us were extremely friendly and attentive. Nice comfortable place, 100% recommended. We had a wonderful meal, and the staff was fantastic. My son was quite upset that he couldn't watch the match, but a kind lady assured us she would take care of it, and she did. She set up the Wi-Fi on my phone and then put on the match. My son was thrilled, and we ended up having a delightful time there.

Lovely decor, but the place lacks atmosphere. Staff were flat, and a missing delivery meant we could only have pizza - no pasta!

The kids had the best time. They didn't know they would be invited to make their own pizzas! The waitress was really lovely and great with them. Amazing service, and the food came really quickly and was really good.

I went here for a birthday celebration with my friends, and the server Keeley made our experience so much more comfortable and enjoyable! She checked in on us, and was so friendly as well as easy to talk to. The pizza that we had was great also!

Entered the restaurant and was tended to by a very polite staff member. Ordered our food , which then took 30 mins to get a starter, and then an age to get our mains. Only when I approached a staff member, they put our pizzas in the oven (which were stacked, uncooked, with everyone else’s on a metal stand. We also ordered Polenta fries which were so undercooked we sent them back. In the end we had to put our pizzas in a takeaway box as we had plans. Would not return. It appears others had same issue today also.

Waited way over 45 minutes for my starter and dough balls and then i asked where my pizza was for them to lie and say its in the oven , then my partner had to go ask 15 minutes later for him to be told it wasn't even being prepared so at this point we was way over and hour where in the end we ended up leaving as was so hungry to go elsewhere

My visit to Pizza Express was a letdown from start to finish. The waiting time was excruciatingly long, with no end in sight. To make matters worse, the staff displayed rude behavior, adding to the already unpleasant experience. It's disappointing when a restaurant fails on both service and attitude fronts.

Dined in the Pizza Express, water gardens branch today for lunch. Jo was an amazing server! Her personality and attitude added an amazing touch to my day. Despite being understaffed and working on her own. Jo still made sure to make all the customers around us incredibly happy :)

While the waitress was polite enough, gosh she needs some training around hospitality. In the whole time that we were in, she was looking after a maximum of 7 covers (3 tables) at any one time. I have never known a waitress with so little work to do be SO slow and inattentive. As customers we shouldn’t have to come and find staff to order or pay the bill. After asking for the bill and it not arriving for 10 minutes (there were no other tables in at this time), we seriously considered just leaving. On top of this, it was explained to us that the chef had burnt one of our pizzas so we had to wait for it to be recooked, hardly surprising when he was on his phone the whole time that we were in there. I’ve given it two stars as my calzone was nice.

Serving staff were lovely and helpful but food not the greatest. 3 out of 4 pizzas were extremely crispy (cheese totally solid on pizza and gave your teeth a good workout). The egg on one pizza,which is supposed to be runny, was solidly cooked; very few toppings on the other 2. Desserts were very nice but the coffee tasted like flavoured hot water. Not sure pizza express, which has always been quite pricey but nice, represents any sort of value for money now - would have been better to buy their versions from the supermarket and eaten at home. Didn't complain at the time as it was a birthday treat but wouldn't visit again.

The food was really good and the staff were nice but service was slow because they're always so busy in there. Also it's quite chilly if you get seated by the door.

Food was okay, but experience was stressful Part of our group of 10 was sent away on Mother’s Day being told there wasn’t a booking, until proof was shown and then begrudgingly sat us at a table! The service is very slow and it took nearly an hour for the pizza to come, do not recommend this place not coming again.

Big up to the bulky ape fella that cooked the most lucious gammon and jerk chicken. He convinced me to try pineapple on my pizza! Shame about his music taste though blinking frick this guy needs to move on from 2020 TikTok’s songs. Bombaclaart!

Ordered pizza delivery with eta of 7.35 to7.45. Message at 7.50 saying it was out for delivery with uber. 8.30 freezing cold chewy pizzas delivered. Tried calling to complain and got hung up on

Really disappointed with the service we received at pizza express harlow this evening. We visit quite regularly and have noticed a decrease in service over the last 3 visits. Tonight we booked a table, the restaurant wasn’t busy and we opted to sit outside. 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came to take a drink order. Food was good as always but when we had finished eating we waited and waited for the plates to be cleared and to get a dessert menu. 45 MINUTES PAST ! Not a single server popped a head out to help us. Fed up, Payed the bill in full on the app and walked out. Even us leaving didn’t get a look.

Went to Pizza Express in the Water Gardens in Harlow. I don’t think I’ve come across the level of rudeness from staff in a restaurant before. I don’t think any of them like there job they’re all so miserable, slow and unhelpful. I’ve always wondered why this place was always empty now I know why. The one in Epping is soooo much better, happy staff means happy customers.

Avoid like the plague! Seriously a health hazard Pizza was absolutely disgusting.... £16 for a pizza that tasted sour and out of date and dough was shockingly bad and I have had upset stomach... My first time going to pizza express and will definitely not be returning. Such a shame. Hopefully the owner decides to make serious changes or shut down before someone gets seriously unwell. Pizza express pizza from tescos is absolutely delicious so was looking forward to going to the restaurant but I am absolutely shocked by the standard of food they are serving in the Harlow branch. Would not recommend to anyone

I would just like to express the absolute disgust at the level of service I received this evening. Upon entry I wasn't shown to my table just "over there". I ordered, at 1810, a classic pizza and dough balls. At 1902 I asked where my food was after seeing the table adjacent to me ask where their food was and it arriving a minute later. They arrived around 10 min after me. Upon asking I was met with attitude and "there are other tables here you know". I pointed to the table who had arrived after me and stated such. I was met with a pulled face and she just walked away. The place was a quarter full if that and unfortunately I do not tolerate such service and as such I walked out. I also witnessed her "show" other diners to the table with a finger point and "over there" and general "I don't want to work here" attitude. Quite ironic I chose a Pizza "Express" for a quick meal after a long day at work. Totally ruined evening. ***EDIT*** I emailed Harlow Manager as requested and didn't get a response - What a shock.

Group booking made, very simple and easy to change. On the day the meal went well, staff were really attentive and proactive, food choices were good, and on time. Cleanliness throughout was what you would want. Well done team harlow I would recommend this restaurant.

Eleven 13 year old girls didn’t faze the wonderful manager and our lovely waitress (forgot both names, sorry! the manager was a blonde white lady and the waitress and dark haired Asian lady) food was perfect, fast service, great quality and such good value, lovely and clean - will be going again for sure better than the Epping restaurant 🤩 the young waiter with dark hair even picked the best drawing competition such nice people

Visited today on the off chance we may be able to get a table for 8. It was early afternoon and the restaurant was empty so we thought we may be in with a chance. Lady on the door was slightly abrupt and said that as we hadn't booked they couldn't seat us, as they had lots of bookings arriving shortly. This was understandable, we walked away...until my friend decided to look on the website and was able to book a table for all of us,no problem at all. We only checked the site because we've had this experience before, this restaurant seems to have a habit of not wanting to seat people. We decided to go elsewhere. Maybe you don't want the custom? Very confusing, and a shame, as whenever we have visited and eaten its always been a nice experience.

Worse service ever. No host at the door, 3 women running like headless chickens trying to make up tables for booked seats. Keeping people at the door for 15 minutes just to say in thw end they don't have seats. Dont bother even going and wasting your time

You can't go wrong with Pizza Express. There is something for everyone who loves Italian Food (like me!) Bonus: the service in this place is brilliant too! We were instantly sat down and offered a menu and our order was quickly taken, we never had to get someone's attention. I went with my all time favourite: pollo con funghi. It's not on the menu but if you ask for it you can get it! Lovely bechamel base, nice strips of chicken, red onions and mushrooms. Yummy! The location is ideal too: placed right in the restaurant strip in Harlow centre.

Came for lunch and had the pizza wrap with salad. Both delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Good value meal.

My daughter and I had a great time here! The dough balls were incredible and I especially loved the truffle dough balls!

So far as the food quality is concerned, you know what you're getting with Pizza Express. Tasty and good quality Italian that is reasonably priced and has something on the menu for everyone . The staff at this branch were fantastic. All very welcoming and attentive and the venue itself was super clean with lots of natural light coming in through the huge windows. Overall a very pleasant visit!

Although the most of the service was okay and the food was good, we were celebrating a 16th birthday and took a cake, which the staff were happy about. It was a homemade cake so the box was improvised. When it came to leaving we were told they had crushed the box and thrown it out. As it was raining we had not choice but to leave more than half the cake bbehind as we had no way if getting it home. This was very disappointing!! Also, throughout the evening the satff spent most of their time rearranging tables and chairs, constantly scraping them across the floor and back again. Very loud and quite distracting. Wouldn't really rush to go back here, because if the cake if nothing else.

Absolutely amazing service from I believe her name was Jo. She made sure our group was adequately seated including the buggy and always checked up to make sure everything was perfect. Will defiantly be coming back aslong as she’s working. Perfect experience (food was also good) :)

Ten mins to be seated for a booked table, and another 15 mins of being ignored before who I assume is the manager (in a shirt that is clearly too small for him) held his hand up in a rude gesture and walked off when we asked to order. We won’t be returning again.

Very clean inside. It was my first experience with Pizza Express. Very friendly waitress. Food arrived quite quickly. My only issue is the price. It’s slightly overpriced for a chain pizzeria. Pizza was very tasty and carbonara was super moist. Definitely worth visiting. :)

The staff at this branch are always welcoming helpful and friendly, the food is always delicious in my experience and I have always found the facilities clean. Probably our favourite out of the chain restaurants in Harlow.

The only bad experience was the pizza app was not working apparently all over the UK so NO access to deals. They need to get the infrastructure right. The actual restaurant was a great experience. But the back up from the bosses looking after the app was not there!!!

What a wonderful experience! Authentic italian at a very reasonable price. The waitress was attentive and professional. The chefs are brilliant. Cannot say enough about this place. If in Harlow drop in, have a glass of wine and take in the atmosphere of the water gardens.

My first experience at pizza express will be my last. When we arrived all the tables at the front were filled with dirty plates. It was not busy at all for staff to clean! We then waited 45 minutes for our pizza to not come so we requested takeaway. Then the pizzas were all ridiculous. Barely any toppings at all and not even cut meaning we had to tear them.. and averaging £15 each we felt scammed if I'm honest!

Five of us went to Harlow Pizza Express . Despite booking they were seemingly unprepared for us pushing two small tables together despite two booths being free. They were understaffed with an 30mins before order being taken and then an hour between starter and main. Thankfully can pay on the app so didn't have to wait to pay. Not the staff's fault so still paid the tip.

Arrived at not long before 4pm. Me and my daughter. That’s it. 2 hours to get to the point of ordering desserts. I have managed restaurants for a long time now so I want to be as fair as I can. I would like to know if they have an active service cycle here and if it gets followed. With an average of less than 3 tables per server and 2 chefs this should not be the case. U fortunately this is the second time like this and only back because my daughter wanted too. So. Came in. Got sat in an ok time but to an unpaid table. No negative on the waitress for this the table was clean and she was the only productive server on shift. Times the others. 20 minutes to bus a 4 top and and other 20 to bus a 2 top table. Orders were taken after 30 minutes (without a drink ordered at the moment either). When the food did arrive it was great quality. The chefs CAN cook decent pizza. Just not fast and only one table at a time apparently. No offer of a second drink- I a tip ask. After eating, another 20 minutes to 25 for desserts (my girl really wanted a brownie). Whilst we were busy with all the waiting the lights and around the corners of the dining area can do with cob web removal also. I’d say the positives are good food and polite smiling team. Down side is painfully slow, unorganised service where the service team desperately need some coaching and direction. It would in theory be a VERY easy place to resolve all these issues and potentially double sales within a week if someone cared. After writing all of this I have even just had to ask for the bill since 3 servers have walked past aimlessly dilly dallying. Hats off to the blonde waitress - the only one who seemed to be getting anything done.
