Fancy Fry in Harlow

Good food and price but missing items again that’s twice now !!!! Really annoying

the food was dry and overcooked.

I don't think this is normal for this place but me and my wife found the chips were alittle undercooked, and my chicken was not great abit dry and tough. the curry sauce was good though and so was my wife's battered sausage. So I think this was just one of those off days for someone

Order was missing items. And from ordering food to being delivered it took 2 hours!!

Contacted the restaurant twice after ordering at 5:50, order was meant to arrive by 6:50, then was told 7:30, eventually arrived at 7:35. Restaurant blamed the driver but the food was still burning hot so definitely wasn’t the driver’s fault! Waited 1:40 for sausage and chips and restaurant refused to acknowledged their mistake, food was ok though!

The batter on the tiny piece of large cod was thicker than the fish itself. Tasted like old fryer oil. Ask for no salad and got salad in the burgers which the kids weren’t happy about. And chips were all soggy. Won’t be ordering again

my chicken quarter was bleeding and looked dreadful. had to bin it. unusual, as always order here and this hasn't happened before.

DO NOT ORDER! got a simple portion of chips they were all brown but still raw on the inside! Took them back and they just threw the same chips back into the fryer (some I had half bitten into) & gave them back without an apology. Now I have raw chips that are cold on the inside and boiling hot on the outside. WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!

the worst delivery meal i have ever had, which is unfortunate as i had high expectations from the rating. dry, overcooked kebab, old stale chips, burger only just passable, chicken was old and did not smell good. shame as not cheap either.

price was good with the 40% off deal but the fish was poor quality, rubbery and bland soggy batter. chips were Luke warm. donner meat was bland. generally entire meal was pretty flavourless

Absolute disgrace. We ordered at 7:30pm and called again at 9pm to check where the food was - I was told it'd be 10 minutes, at 9:30 they unhooked their phone and by 10:10pm we gave up. The WORST takeaway service I've ever experienced.

I pre-ordered this for 8:40 pm and it is now 21.30pm and it is still not here. I think ordering at 7:30 pm gave them plenty of time. happy withI’ve a good mind to cancel this order. It is now too late to eat.

The food is appalling and I also question the hygiene standards of the establishment. Absolutely shocking. Don't waste your money.

Dead insects in the food. Didn't even look good, and saying customer service is awful would be a compliment. Don't bother, place needs to shut down.

How generous and lovely are these people. I think I pressed the wrong button during my order . I wanted it delivered because I don’t drive, but when I checked it said I was going to pick it up. Fantastic food. Great quality. Highly recommend these guys. 100% best traditional chippy. Also, very good fried chicken, not dry but succulent and juicy! If you’re reading this don’t hesitate to order honestly

I ordered a delivery via Just Eat, the food turned up quicker than stated which was good but that's the only positive. I have a feeling a lot of the food had been previously cooked but had been re-heated to warm it up before delivery but the food was cold when it arrived! Cod was cold and really greasy and the fish tasted stale like it was a cheap frozen piece of fish and the batter was rock hard in places, the chips were cold and burnt in the middle but surprisingly still undercooked, the pie was cold and soggy and the mushy peas were also cold. Overall it was a complete disappointment and a very unpleasant experience, i will not be ordering from here again. To top it off i now have the s##t's too!

The food turned up a lot quicker than was advertised which was good, but that's the only positive I can give. Won't be ordering from here again, everything was cold, fish was very greasy and tasted stale, pie was soggy chips looked burnt in the middle and very pale on the edges and were quite firm from not being clocked long enough. This was our first and last time ordering here, truly disgusting.

Cannot believe what state the food was in ?! Burnt chips, donner meat not fully cooked, the fish and chips were so oily none of us could even come to half with it ! Went straight in the bin !

Never had a problem from here but today I got the sfc and it did not taste nice at all some bits didn’t looked cooked other bits was very dry so was disappointed

This meal was so disappointing it actually hurt my feelings. The chips tasted like what I imagine refried cardboard fried in old oil to taste like. Hard & powdery, Lots of green & black root sprouts. The fish just tasted like the pink styrofoam they used to package it. No salt or vinegar was added with no option online to request. I could not eat that hot mess. The only thing that was good was the swift delivery but no wonder cause they totally dropped the ball in the kitchen. Sorry bNever again

chips were reheated old hard chips. burger had dodgy lettuce in it. pancake roll was near on burnt batter. avoid a lunch treat! not fresh

We order from here all the time and normally ok and quick. But this time our Donna wraps came with hardly any meat and I mean two slices of Donna and that’s not the worst. The driver knocked on the door and because he heard my dog before I even got off my seat he ran off and fell over on my step. This burst my drinks and flattened my food, I have all this on camera. Ordered 3 cod and 3 chips, was disgusting that 60% of the chips were brown and mouldy looking as if it was bad potatoes and one of the fish was a half a cod in comparison to the other two. This all put us off the chips and I will never use this shop again..

the food was hot, but it was so overcooked. it was so obvious that it was food that had been reheated, the fish batter was nearly black and soggy. the chips were half burnt and had black bits of burnt on them. I was so hungry (as I had no food), but I had to throw my food away, so still hungry

Usually really enjoyed this take out. But today wasn’t up to standard. The chips were dry and very crispy with hardly any decent ones in the portions.
