Some of the female staff in this take away/delivery section of this establishment have a seriously bad attitude.I also suggest that they read up on the equality act on disability related conditions and how it affects different customers. I received a message from this place saying I need to post on the right page etc,no sign of an apology for the rudeness from your un friendly staff

Waited alot longer then they said when ordering, food was very cold and inedible. When asking for some sort of refund (food ended in bin) they said no. Never again!

This was a takeaway delivery and the food was crap!!! Could not eat the salt and pepper squid, was like rubber. Other dishes did not seem freshly cooked. This was meant to be a treat. Complete waste of money!!!!!

Absolutely terrible restaurant!! Some of our order was missing and was very rude when we asked for a refund Ruined my dads birthday meal !!!

If it were possible to leave 0 stars I would. The food was inedible with missing items. Complained to manager who told me that no refund would be given, accused me of lying and requested food be taken out the bin. He then phoned me back and told us to “never use us again”, which I will most certainly will do. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Very underwhelming food. Bought 4 different dishes and can’t recommend any. I won’t be back that’s for sure. Accessibility ♿️ is pretty poor too. Enough I guess, I am hoping this was just a one-off.

Nice, tasty; plenty of food and it was hot too; good to have your meal arrive Hot and not luke warm, like other takeaways these days. Good value.

The bottom line is with virtually all chinese takeaways is your taking a chance,I've known and worked with chinese people and it's not in there culture to waste or throw food out so the food your eating might be freshly cooked and prepared or could be days old and reheated.

Surprisingly fresh, tasty Chinese dishes. Piping hot on collection and accurate telephone order. A couple of ‘free’ dishes included with prawn crackers which was a unexpected treat. Would recommend and use again.

Regular customer until now, I would rate this takeaway the worst I have ever had. Raw Carrot, the pork was just big lumps of fat and the beef was inedible complete waste of money

First and last time ordering from here. My word the food had no flavour what so ever! Really bland and so much oil. Never ordering from here again. Waited over an 1 hour for the food in which most of the food went in the bin £50 wasted.

We've always had great food from here but tonight it was awful. The plum sauce was watered down with a cheap oil which tasted horrible and it was so watery and left a horrible taste. My husband has been ill from it. Won't be ordering from there again.

Absolutely fantastic I love eating here the food is quite simply magnificent especially the roast duck soba. The staff are brilliant please please please never change it if I could give 10 stars I would thank you so much. Only one problem is that you need to open one in Loughton I hope you do one day

The food was disgusting,spent 55£ and couldn’t eat anything. The noodles were saggy, soup smelled awful.. the food felt like it was expired.. like the food has gone off. Not gonna order again..

Food is always tasty, fresh and never too greasy. Arrives on time. Wouldn't order Chinese food from anywhere else. This is our go to. Highly recommended!

Quick delivery, big portions and reasonable price but unfortunately the worst chinese in my life. My Kung Po chicken had nothing to do with chilli, it tasted like a vinegar. Didn't have to wait long for diarrhoea..... Won't order again.

Absolutely disgusted with the meal I picked up tonight . I was assured it was part of the king du restaurant by the guy answering the phone twice. I drove from noak hill to Harlow to get this food. Everything is disgusting. Nothing resembles anything I’d ate in the restaurant, completely different dishes to what I’ve ate before. Chips are raw, red noodles are vile, squid overdone and yum yum ribs a disgrace.. do not eat from here 😡

Very mediocre, lacks flavour, food tasteless, but I suppose you can't expect much in this area, however the staff are friendly.

The food at the takeaway outlet is totally rubbish and it appears the food are left overs which are sold to the public . Note that the takeaway outlet is totally different from the proper sitdown restaurant . If your health matters to you , please dont buy food from the takeaway outlet. It is a disaster

King du take away I wouldn’t rate it no more then a big 0. We ordered a family take away only to then get home and the batter around the prawns to still be lumps of floury dough and parts cold. The onions and vegetables not cooked. The food in the cartons was just all pushed in and stuck together and the chicken in the noodles was this awful beige colour it just wasn’t edible. We hardly touched any of it and even after felt so sick. I would not recommend this place.

Was not impressed at all. Chips were soggy, beef in tomato had a strange taste, rice was very dry and Hong Kong chicken was tasteless. On the plus side dumplings, chowmein and duck were tasty. I had heard good things about king du takeaway. Sadly it feel short and will not order from them again

Oh my god!! I did ask can we have the meal hot, arrived stone cold,, why !! cost over £30 to go in the bin,i rang to ask how they cook the meat as chicken and beef was all jellified in our curry and totaly inedable offered a discount off the next meal, omg wanted a decent meal tonight for dinner total waist of money not next time. First ever order and the last. They put it down to the supplyer.. cant you russle up a fresh bit of beef thinly sliced fresh for your curries as its got to be far better than that Jellyfied meat its discusting... chef you eat it i bet you dont. Then dont serve it to the public whats wrong with these chinese resturants selling jellified meat , sorry but i had to ask and say , whats wrong with fresh small chunks chicken and beef sliced fresh. Youll get better custom.

Ordered a takeaway for the family and none of the meals were edible - chips cold and undercooked, sauces had a weird tang and the meat was tough and poor quality. Will never order again, waste of money, much better in Harlow.

We have used king du takeaway a lot over the previous years. The food was always good with ample portions. Unfortunately a couple of years back the food started to go down hill so we looked elsewhere. I decided tonight (against my better judgement it seems) to give them a other go.... what a mistake. My order was taken online and confirmed. An hour and 40 minutes later still no delivery. I called them only to be told, please wait. The phone was left on the side for over 10 minutes while the person on the reception delayed with a host of other people. I had to almost scream down the phone for them to remember I was 'on hold'. I was told that my food had been cooked but there were no drivers available and that the food would be delivered in about half an hour. By this time the food that we had cooked at home to accompany this was already ruined. I find myself now outside our local Chinese takeaway ordering again and it looks like we won't be eating till gone 9pm!! I have put a complaint in via email and we will see what sorry excuse they have for such poor service this time. I don't understand how their noodle bar side of the business can perform so well and serve such great food but yet their takeaway arm seems to have collapsed in on itself..... avoid at all costs

Not sure what went wrong, having had numerous amazing meals in the restaurant and deliveries from the take away... We had a delivery last night that was simply awful. The starters were OK, but the mains were dreadful. To be honest it was difficult to tell what any of the meat dishes were. The pork was more like the consistency and taste of bread, the chicken tasted of fish and the beef was just salty and unpleasant. There was a huge amount of of msg in everything, which resulted in a really poor night's sleep as well. Having recommended both the take away and the restaurant to numerous people over the years, we were both so letdown.

Everything is tasty , Apart from the calamari which is frozen that was a big mistake to order. Oh and the salt a pepper dishes don’t have garlic or peppers. The chicken satay isn’t spicy and I don’t know why. But I have to say when I call up I have to ask them to make me fresh noodles because on 2 occasions now I’ve opened the noodles and I can instantly smell there off. I order them plain and they just pick the meat out of an old batch which I also have to ask them to not do. It’s the nicest Chinese in Harlow I’ve realised and that’s why it’s so busy but honestly I find it a shame that Harlows best Chinese is of the standard. It’s not a high one.

Delivery was quick noodle were great so was salt and pepper chicken but the seafood ramen was very bland and not very good. Would order again but definitely not ramen

We have had some great meals at the King Du Restaurant so we thought we would try the takeaway King Du as the restaurant wasn’t open on a Sunday (Behind Merlin Restaurant) as it was Chinese New Year. It was inedible and we didn’t eat it, it was full of grease and oil and didn’t look like it had been freshly cooked it also had a funny smell to it. Very disappointed, this was like a different restaurant not the same quality at all very disappointed. If you like King Du don’t go to the separate takeaway shop you will be bitterly disappointed.

I would rate higher as the foods always really good, and quick service until today. Called up to make an order for collection at 7ish was told it was going to be 20mins. Food was only ready 5mins ago, they defiently forgot about our order but never told us what was going and why it was taken so long. Then only apologised when we got given our food, but no point while we was waiting for it. Not very impressed.

They have recently changed the menu. Although many favourites have been removed their set menu is choices are very good and offer good value. The food was excellent, and very fresh.

I have been a loyal customer for years. The food atmosphere and staff were all great. So I was a little sad that it would be closed for a refurb but never the less would of looked forward to getting re aquainted. I was surprised how much damage a refurb can do. Not only had not a lot changed inside. But the menu had suffered. No more King du udon. No red noodles and no Ramen bowls. I was offered a Singapore noodle dish that was supposed to be the Ramen equivalent. But no. Odorless flavourless and bland to the extreme. The broth was tastless grey water. And the only heat came from the corriander side dish served separately. What a shame. What was a gem is no longer. Very dissaponting.

Ordered Singapore noodles today for delivery. Only had to wait 35 minutes and by god, it was gorgeous. Tasty and definitely freshly cooked. Had a lovely array of those things grown in the ground (vegetables I think they are called) and a lovely mix of meats. I'm usually never sure if I'm eating a household pet but this, I could tell it was chicken, pork and prawns! Very good price too though they could work on their website a little to make it mobile friendly! Thumbs and forks up from me

Stars not for restaurant, for the small shop King Du takeaway opposite Melins. Fair to good Yaki Soba, needs more fish food with the noodles, found one prawn where there used once upon a time a handful of prawns, and reduced portions are now provided in foil containers. Basically not about the taste and quality more about quantities.

We ordered a birthday meal here last night and the whole lot had to go back after waiting for the meal. Omg how can you simply of let this leave your resurant you have no care to your food or what the public are eating out of your resturant. . I realy can't believe they served this to customers our blackbean sauce was like marmite thick black tar.. The beef curry was wrong as wanted a special curry and only came with chicken and was set to the extent of cement realy dark and stong couldnt eat this ..The king prawns on scewer was twangy my mother stated the king prawns were off.. my husband ordered a chicken.in white wine thinking this would arrive as stated he couldn't eat this as it looked like thin jellified turkey escalope with tons of breadcrumbs stodgy with chopped spring onions all batter .the chow mein had too much soy in it discusting totally inedible the whole meal was discusting the whole meal cost almost £50 I won't be ordering or seating at the noodle bar you have iether..I hope you checked and realised what had been sent out and learn by having a restaurant that serves good consistent food you should be shutdown.

Had a takeaway from this establishment two weeks ago. Have had previously, which has been very good, but this time it was very disappointing. The noodles were not well cooked, the sauces tasted stale & stewed for days, & the rice was more like sticky rice than egg fried.

I've seen a lot of reviews on here that made me dubious to go to King Du with regards to the dishes not coming up all at once etc. It's an independent "Wagamama" which is tastier, cheaper and have actual tables that a family can sit around. I loved the food and the service was great. Only thing you have to overlook is the location.

Fantastic speedy service, huge variety and top notch quality food. Have been going to King Du for years and will continue to do so. Had the Katsu Chicken curry for a change at this visit, was delicious! Also, really varied choice for my wife who is Vegetarian.

Good value, food always really hot and plenty of it. Food ready really quickly for collection, usually only about 15 minutes. Basic restaurant for eat in service

Poor service don’t order a takeaway unless you want it to be over 2 and half hours! Numerous calls, emails in the end cancelled the food order.

Had friends over and ordered a takeaway New Years Eve which took 2 hours to be delivered after several calls to chase. We were missing the seaweed from the starter and the food in general was poor. It’s such a shame as I’ve eaten in the restaurant before and the food on that occasion was excellent.

Always when in Harlow we order Chinese from here for delivery. Delivery is free and quick. The food is always freshly cooked and delicious. Never any complaints. Great price too.

It's been some time since I last had a king du, because the last one was so bad, but I was looking around and thought I'd give it another go, and as the title suggests it was pleasant! Food was all hot which is something of a rarity, there was loads of it and it was all pretty tasty for a good price!!

Lovely food with quirky surroundings. The portions are very generous. The dishes have a lovely Asian twist to them.

Didn't fancy going out for a meal. So ordered a meal in at the hotel we were staying at.

Worth a visit to this newly decorated pan oriental restaurant. Had the chilli beef ramen soup, nice and spicy with good cuts of beef and no excessively fatty bits. Good service and it worked out £10 per head with Jasmine tea for two, 1 starter and 2 ramen soups. They have a selection of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Malaysian dishes. Check it out if you're in the neighbourhood!

King Du has reopened as a full plate restaurant. Mui & Koko is the sister buffet restaurant near the hotel. Slightly updated decor but still authentic. Food and service is excellent. £12 per head on last visit at end Oct 2016. Can't fault this place.

I have been eating here since it opened, I have seen it expand and refurb itself a few times but it does one thing consistently good hot food!

I went to the King Du and sat in this time, even though their takeaway is always freshly cooked i had their sweet and sour chicken with chips, had a massive amount of chicken and tasted great. I love this place offering reasonable priced food.:)

Tonight the wife fancied king prawn curry so we ordered from king du. I fancied just a cheap meal to shovel down after a few drinks like you would a kebab, I ordered set meal A1 it arrived on time and when I started to eat,it tasted of a bowl of sugar with some chicken and beanshoots.
