Pizza Express in Elmbridge

We always have a wonderful time when we visit Anyards Road Pizza Express! The whole team are super friendly, to name a few….Andy, Sonali, Lydie, Arriana and Lourdes! The food is always piping hot and very tasty. Super thin pizzas and fresh salads. We are always welcomed by the friendly team and they go out of their way to make sure we have a happy time. Thank you to all the team!

We visited in half term at a very busy time with reduced staff. Ariana and Andy were there and service was excellent and they always make the family feel welcome.

I live locally, walking distance in fact and I can guarantee you we will never be back. We stood at the front door at 17:30 for 10minutes without so much as a glance from staff. Blatantly ignored. There is clearly no manager in this restaurant as everyone just looked run off their feet, tables remained filthy. Eventually we were seated and then the service was provided without so much as a smile. Grumpy, uninterested waiting staff. ALL of them. The food was completely average. They clearly have a monopoly in the area in terms of a restaurant that caters to children and therefore feel no need to make an effort to make it a pleasant dining experience. My advice - avoid it at all costs. I will be off to Casa next time.

Ordered through deliveroo. Arrived very late and no one picked up the phone when I tried calling 3 times for an update on the food.

Loved pizza express! Great pizza and great atmosphere.

After a misunderstanding over our booking in which the staff thought I had ordered online but I had booked a table online ( most likely my Northern accent). We got sorted. The lady who served us was Italian which is always a good start. Once we had the app set up to get the £1 pizza offer (which is a cracking deal) she guided us through the app and couldn’t be more helpful. Our pizzas were delicious and just the right size. Lovely tomato base and not greasy at all. If every visit was like this one then life would be so much nicer.

Ordered via Deliveroo. This was the worst pizza I’ve had in decades. The base was so chewy it was inedible, it wasn’t cut properly so I had to saw through it with a bread knife . Eight little bits of beef , some slices actually had no topping . Most of The brown bits aren’t beef just browned cheese. enclosed a photo of the pizza and the picture from the menu .

Lovely friendly staff. Great food and drink menu and served quickly. Squeezed us in late so very appreciative and were given some good advice about the local area.

I recently visited this place with my family and a friend’s family, hoping to enjoy a nice meal together. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. We initially preferred to dine in, but a gentleman taking our order informed us there were no available tables and we would need to wait 20 minutes. However, most of the seats were clearly empty. When I politely inquired about this, he claimed the tables needed cleaning, which would take time. Frustrated, we decided to take our food and eat outside instead. I then asked for a juice to go, but was told they couldn’t make it for takeaway because it only comes in a bottle—an explanation that didn’t make much sense. To make matters worse, another lady who was taking orders informed us they couldn’t accommodate us at all due to a lack of cleaning staff that day. The whole experience was incredibly disappointing. The service was unorganized, and the staff seemed indifferent to the customers’ needs. I certainly won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

Great experience... Momo(French Guy) is awesome who suggested us great food options. Starters and pizza was nice.

Wanted a take out at 13:15 on a Monday. Restaurant empty. Several staff idling around and before I could even indicate what I wanted I was informed there would be a delay of at least 20 minutes. Tone and attitude was clear that they really were not interested in business of any kind. Jobbing personnel. - shame. Will avoid going to this branch in future .

Got Takeaway via Uber Eats and it was fantastic! Great quality, nicely presented, hot and fresh with quick service! I’ll have to go in-person next time!

Best PE we’ve ever had and we have used a few around the country. This Cobham one puts our 2 local ones to shame in Ashford Kent! Would definitely use Cobham again when near the area again! Perfect pizzas!!! Hot, tasty and presentation was great! Credit to the staff their! Friendly staff was experienced to! A* PE thank you! Tried to claim my birthday reward or the free side but when I entered it into the app it would not alter price to free wanted to charge for it, unsure why… Spoke with a member on collecting but they were not able to address this for me.

Always decent pizza. The prawn starter were not very tasty - I would not order again. Calamari was ok. Chocolant fondant always tasty. Son enjoys gluten free dough balls and choc brownie as part of kids meal. Service was indifferent to disappointing. Colouring and menu quiz keeps kids entertained.

Worst lasagne I’ve ever been served, anywhere. Inedible takeaway. Utterly disgusting. Container was over half tomato sauce, which was just like a large jar of cheap sauce filling more than half the container. On top of this were 2 sheets of lasagne pasta with a very thin spread of cheap tinned mince in sauce. I counted 3.5 grains of ‘meat’!!! On top was once a very thin spreading of white sauce which had been grilled until a black congealed skin. The side salad (£5.95) consisted of 1 red very small cherry tomato, sliced, one yellow very small cherry tomato, sliced. Two slices of cucumber, quartered & a half pack of green leaves thrown on top. I could only detect oil on this, no salad dressing. Dough balls x six with a small plastic pot with a small, hollow, curl of butter (no garlic detected), certainly no more than one of the mini packets served on breakfast buffet bars in B&Bs, all for £5.75.. Total cost? £26.95 NEVER, ever again. Gone in the bin where it belongs. Shame on you Pizza Express, horrific!

Thank you thank you ! Though they declined my take away coffee order this evening , ( on account of not having taken away cups ) , on my return with a suitable cup , the friendly staff here were able to supply a much needed coffee ! It was for partner who was working nearby . ( I tried 4 other places in Cobham , none could supply!). With this customer service , my partner and I will visit for dinner soon. ❤️

Always have a good meal at this pizza express.

Not being sarcastic but we’ve treated in a lower class comparing to others. I ordered a coffee and was not served but it was added to the bill. He forgot my coffee because he was having his meal time to time while serving. The European waiter was not kind enough to apologise even. So disappointed.

So, Cobham, you may have saved the game. My wife and I had sacked off all interaction with this chain after horrible experiences in Cardiff and Plymouth. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still WAY overpriced for what it is. But the choice was limited and credit where it’s due, this particular faceless corporate greed machine did well. Food was good, hot and quickly served. Venue was clean and warm. The best thing was the server. Her name was, I think, Salido , although I may well have that wrong. She was lovely. She almost made paying £17.25 for an ok pizza bearable.

Had a really delicious pizza - fungi di bosco. Actually one of the best pizzas I've had in a while! Kids menu was also good value - £7.50 for 3 courses. The service was quick and friendly too. Overall I was impressed.

Food was good, it all arrived at the same time so the whole table was served at once. We made the atmosphere as the whole restaurant was dead and the staff didnt interact with the diners.

Ordered Deliveroo for the first time in a year after a previous bad experience. This time even worse, salad was very old and not fresh. Pizzas were not good. 2 family members had bad stomachs afterwards. I used to remember this chain as being something special but 2 bad experiences in a row and I won’t be giving them another chance. Is it the whole chain has gone downhill or is this just a badly managed branch?

The reason this has 5 stars for food and privately owned restaurants may get lower is. With a chain it is about consistency in knowing what you are getting. Like Nando’s i know what i am going to get every time. The food is great service is great there are obviously different levels to food when each dish is cooked individually in respect to a private restaurant you can rate the bespoke dish. Chain restaraunts are pretty generic I always enjoy pizza express. And service is good and quick.

Not a patch on Woking branch. Found the waitresses quite curt. To be fair they were busy but my attempt to attract their attention was met with "i've only two hands and two legs." I'm in customer service and if I spoke like that to a client I wouldn't be in a job.

Just ordered pizza via the Deliveroo app. The pizza base was not a pizza base…tasted like weird dough, not a pizza base at all. Awful 🤢

Food fairly good but unfortunately as a lot of restaurants these days there are no soft furnishings so the restaurant was very noisy even though it wasn't extremely busy.

Visited tonight as a large party, restaurant was very busy but staff were as helpful as they could be considering how many people they were overseeing. Food was great as always. Thank you to the waitresses who looked after us tonight.

This was some excellent pie. The thin crust Romana with a side of spicy dough balls was great and the toffee mini bundt cake with ice cream was amazing too. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

We had booked for a table of 10 for a childs birthday at Pizza Express in COBHAM. The service was awful. Children’s meals took 45 mins to come. I asked do they not perhaps do a candle for the birthday. Was told no we don’t!!! The pasta was still good though but a really dissapointing night out.

The taste is amazing, but the ambient it’s lovely. All the staff, the place, everything nice!

We love pizza express! Went for Daughters birthday to meet up with family, the pizza express app club is really good, always end up with something off the bill! Good food, good service, does get quite noisy if its busy.

Service and Bill being brought out, were slow. Very noisy at the cooking counter and from kitchens, empty bottles being thrown in bins with very loud crashing sounds.

I visit here at least once a week. The staff are amazing. The food is always great. If you download the app you will get something free every time. Fun little games and colouring for the children.

Dined here twice with the family and was disappointed both times. Service in Walton and Esher locations is much better. We came in the early afternoon and there were hardly any people at the restaurant, yet we ended up waiting for 40 minutes for our mains. Ordered a glass of wine, was charged for 250 ml.

Lack of staff, lack of any attempt at charm from the waiter, lack of any attempt at taking our order, argument between chef and waiter about the lack of anybody taking the food to tables, 15 minutes without even a drinks order being taken. Few staff in view, few tables occupied. We left. Very poor.

Very tasty NEW pizza options on the menu! Me and my fiancé visited yesterday and felt compelled to choose the new hoisin duck pizza (it was DELICIOUS). The sweetness of the source combined with the savoury toppings was a win win for us. Definitely recommend! The restaurant was warm and friendly (great for families and friends meet ups).

Bolognaise pasta did not have a lot of meat. The prosecco was delicious and the waiter was most friendly.

It's pizza express, you know what you're going to get and this branch does it particularly well. Some parents need to learn that it isn't play ground for your kids though, stop letting them run around going crazy whilst other families are eating, it's disgraceful.

Lovely pizzas, fair prices and very polite and helpful staff. Been coming here for about 3 months and never had any issues. Staff have always been good on every visit. 4 adults and 1 under 5 child, we all had starters, all had a couple of soft drinks each plus 2 alcohol free beers, 4 main course pizzas and 1 children's meal £113.

Ordered takeaway via de app, a real pain as it takes you to an external page and makes ordering much more complicated. The pizza that i have Ordered had a lot of oil, and could not eat it.... Definetly not at their standards....

As I am new in this area. I just went out with my mother and decided to eat at this restaurant. As soon as we walk in , we get greeted by someone called Patricia. As soon as we ask for a menu she starts looking at me and my mother in a very disgusted face, keep in mind, at this time which was around 1pm , there were barely any people in this restaurant. We ignore her disgusting face , and we sit down at the table suggested by Patricia. Continuing, we wait for Patricia to take mine and my mothers order and she finally comes to our table after 3 minutes roughly. My mother wasn’t decided yet but I was , and then Patricia has told me that she cannot serve both of us the same thing , because it would have to be separate, which was very confusing and quite rude in my opinion. Finally my mother has decided to take something as well, and when Patricia got confronted for her disgusting looks at me and my mother she blamed that we didn’t ask for a table of two at the beginning which is honestly a bad excuse. The food was very excellent , but the waiters treatment of customer was very bad and unprofessional. PS: I recommend this restaurants manager to hire new smiley faces, this lady Patricia should probably wash the dishes.

Friendly staff, service a bit slow. Pizza's were nice but not the best we've had. Reasonably priced for the quality although we had few dough balls for signing up to the app that apparently are £4.50 a portion which would be ridiculously expensive for what they are. Overall a nice experience, enhanced by friendly staff.

Quiet and staff were really nice

I booked a table for myself my little boy and his friend. When we arrived at the restaurant it was busy and hot, we sat for around 5-10 minuets, the children were hot and agitated. I put my hand up to ask for water as the children were parched. a waitress stormed up, leaned over and shouted aggressively in my face "YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT WE ARE BUSY!!!!" (she did not even give me chance to ask for water) my sons bottom lip started to quiver as he thought she was going to hit me.His friend was terrified and wanted to leave. I was humiliated and embarrassed. I did ask her not to be so rude and she just shouted me down. I am not complaining about the wait or the heat or the overcrowding, I have served tables and understand their pain. But the horrendous aggressive nature of the awful intimidating waitress.she knew exactly what she was doing, she was angry at how busy she was and decided to take it out on a single lady with children. It made me wonder if I had not been alone would she have been so aggressive? I think not! so for all the single mothers/fathers/caregivers I formally complain about this bully!!! The manageress was apologetic and very kind and served us quickly after the incident. But honestly two little boys are going to have nightmares about this awful woman.

I genuinely love this place, I love how the pizzas are made thin and I don't like the crusts so it's amazing for me because there are hardly any crust bits on the pizza and it has sauce at the edges of the crisps which gives it more flavour. Layla

Spur of the moment decision to have a meal on a quiet Wednesday night after weekly grocery shopping chore. Great friendly service and nice atmosphere in the restaurant, food was first class as expected from this chain.

Had the calzone. It was perfectly cooked. Baked almost to the point of burning, crisp crust, plenty of chilis, and a couple's of juicy tomatoes in the side salad. 😋

Just eaten at the Cobham branch. Overall the food was tasty (5*) but everything else let the experience down. It was too noisy to have a conversation and the restaurant was barely half full. Food took far too too long to come. By the time it arrived the kids were so over hungry and bored that the whole experience was ruined. Shame as we were looking forward to puddings but just needed to get out and leave.

Very good value and excellent service

We love Pizza Express but made the mistake of using Deliveroo who just aren't properly able to service this area yet. The food was 45 minutes late, was cold and was very disappointing. The tiramisu looked like it had been run over but I think this is due to the time it took to get here.

We visited for a meal with family, the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and there seemed to be quite a lot of staff about. The food was nice and the staff we spoke to were nice and friendly. The only issue was the priority seemed to be the takeaway/ delivery orders, there were lots of staff around the kitchen area which made it difficult to get someone to come to our take to order, get the bill etc.

I saw a member of the kitchen/waiting staff leave a customer toilet cubicle and return to the kitchen without having washed their hands. They may have washed their hands back in the kitchen (don’t want to accuse them of something they may not have done) but what I saw is not a good look whatsoever.

Nice meal but when we went to order desserts it was easier for the waiter to tell me what they did have than what they didn't have. Not alot had been delivered so a little bit of a birthday disappointment. Thanks heavens Creams was still open in Guildford

We attended for a family meal after the lock down, looked at all the new food on the website prior to our visit. Once we arrived we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our seat. We reviewed the menu to confirm our choices for our starter, to be told two times that the food we wanted for our starter wasn’t available, and then the for the main courses the same, two new mains unavailable so again different choices had to be made. We’d gone to Pizza express with the concept of eating certain food, to make a choice of ordering something not because you want it but because that is all they have. The food was okay, and was eaten. Our waitress returned to offer the desert menu, to which we ordered desserts to find everything thing we had ordered they did not have. We asked for our bill, advised them if if they would have made us aware they’re were serving a minimal menu, less than the already reduced menu when we arrived we would have taken our business elsewhere. The manager could not even be bothered to apologise for our disappointment in the service received and unlike other patrons leaving the premises with a thank you for spending your money with us we were totally blanked, as if it was our fault. Please do not spend your well earned money with a company who has no concept of respect their customers.

I took the opportunity to get 3 pizzas delivered during lockdown and all were terrible. Never have I experienced such overcooked and dry pizza. I cannot believe that they could even send these out to a customer as they were so badly cooked. This is the last time I will use pizza express and they have lost a customer. I'd definately avoid this branch after this experience.

Staff are dedicated to the Social Distancing protocol. Even though they are only open for takeaways. So enjoyed my lovely Pizza when I got home.

Absolutely terrible. Got served half cooked pasta. My kids were complaining about it. I asked the water why the pasta was uncooked. His response was they use gluten free pasta and its cooked this way. What he couldn't explain is why two of the same meals differed. One dish of pasta was soft the other was rock solid!! Won't be returning.

Food was pretty dire compared to other branches we've been to. Pizza base was soggy and not crisp at all, despite ordering the Romana base. Ice cream was melted already when it arrived. Service was excellent at least.

My mum and I went for a last minute dinner out and we really enjoyed the food. The Tuna Nicoise salad is particularly good at this branch and the pizza is always well cook with lots of toppings. There was a young waiter who was very polite and offered garlic and chili oil and extra sauce for the salad without us asking. I would recommend this place.

Ordered a collection - due to the process in place you get delayed by people waiting to be seated, they hand you your take away past your collection time in my case almost 5 minutes, was stone cold the time I got it home 5 mins later.

Went in to Pizza Express, Cobham today with my husband and grandson. Initially there were two male staff front of house. Not particularly friendly but what appaulled us was their use (or lack of use) of face protection. One of the staff had no mask on at any time. The second wore his mask below his nose and, quite often, round his neck. He was continually touching his face and mask ... particularly moving it back over his mouth as he was about to pick up plates from the serving station to deliver to table. Periodically both waiters would go to talk with the chef and lean over the counter ... one with no mask and the other with the mask round his neck. This experience has put us off visiting any Pizza Express again.

Worst chicken cesar salad ever!

Terrible staff, hideous food, ordered a chicken cesar salad that looked out of date. Very expensive, £13.20, absolute joke and will not be returning!

Food was of the usual high quality that you expect from this chain. Really good service and very friendly. The restaurant was also open, comfortable and relaxing, with pleasant decor

A bit of a delay because of problems with the booking system, bit once we were in everything was lovely.

I don’t like any chain restaurants. Unfortunately Pizza Express confirms my opinion. I can’t say “don’t go there”. It’s not so bad, but the quality is “chain-restaurant-standard”, nothing special, but price are too high in my opinion. Staff, ok. They are very busy this time, covid time.

Booked table for 14:15, queue was approx 20 people long who had also all booked tables. We were eventually shown to a table at 15:00. No explanation when asked, no sorry, all people queuing in the rain outside saying the same thing, why let people book tables if they’re not available! On entering they didn’t ask about reservations or check when or how many we had booked for at all, just asked if we wanted table for 6 and showed us in. Pasta dish was served and looked like half had been eaten (3 of our party had different pastas and all the same!). There was no social distancing at all, tables wedged in and people sat on all of them. Individual waiter was lovely and was trying his best. But clearly they cannot cope with 50% off offer at all. We appreciate people want to eat out and enjoy the offer, but there is no point in offering the choice to book and still making people wait! We expected maybe a 5-10 min wait but 45 mins with no explanation is completely unacceptable. If we hadn’t of had hungry children and a sleeping baby in the pram we wouldn’t have wasted our time, no wonder they’re closing lots down.
