Pizza Express in Elmbridge

Really polite manager and staff with excellent service. Food was great. I’ve not been to this one before but would definitely come back!

I visit here at least once a week. The staff are amazing. The food is always great. If you download the app you will get something free every time. Fun little games and colouring for the children.

We visited for a meal with family, the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and there seemed to be quite a lot of staff about. The food was nice and the staff we spoke to were nice and friendly. The only issue was the priority seemed to be the takeaway/ delivery orders, there were lots of staff around the kitchen area which made it difficult to get someone to come to our take to order, get the bill etc.

I saw a member of the kitchen/waiting staff leave a customer toilet cubicle and return to the kitchen without having washed their hands. They may have washed their hands back in the kitchen (don’t want to accuse them of something they may not have done) but what I saw is not a good look whatsoever.

We attended for a family meal after the lock down, looked at all the new food on the website prior to our visit. Once we arrived we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our seat. We reviewed the menu to confirm our choices for our starter, to be told two times that the food we wanted for our starter wasn’t available, and then the for the main courses the same, two new mains unavailable so again different choices had to be made. We’d gone to Pizza express with the concept of eating certain food, to make a choice of ordering something not because you want it but because that is all they have. The food was okay, and was eaten. Our waitress returned to offer the desert menu, to which we ordered desserts to find everything thing we had ordered they did not have. We asked for our bill, advised them if if they would have made us aware they’re were serving a minimal menu, less than the already reduced menu when we arrived we would have taken our business elsewhere. The manager could not even be bothered to apologise for our disappointment in the service received and unlike other patrons leaving the premises with a thank you for spending your money with us we were totally blanked, as if it was our fault. Please do not spend your well earned money with a company who has no concept of respect their customers.

I took the opportunity to get 3 pizzas delivered during lockdown and all were terrible. Never have I experienced such overcooked and dry pizza. I cannot believe that they could even send these out to a customer as they were so badly cooked. This is the last time I will use pizza express and they have lost a customer. I'd definately avoid this branch after this experience.

My mum and I went for a last minute dinner out and we really enjoyed the food. The Tuna Nicoise salad is particularly good at this branch and the pizza is always well cook with lots of toppings. There was a young waiter who was very polite and offered garlic and chili oil and extra sauce for the salad without us asking. I would recommend this place.

Ordered a collection - due to the process in place you get delayed by people waiting to be seated, they hand you your take away past your collection time in my case almost 5 minutes, was stone cold the time I got it home 5 mins later.

Went in to Pizza Express, Cobham today with my husband and grandson. Initially there were two male staff front of house. Not particularly friendly but what appaulled us was their use (or lack of use) of face protection. One of the staff had no mask on at any time. The second wore his mask below his nose and, quite often, round his neck. He was continually touching his face and mask ... particularly moving it back over his mouth as he was about to pick up plates from the serving station to deliver to table. Periodically both waiters would go to talk with the chef and lean over the counter ... one with no mask and the other with the mask round his neck. This experience has put us off visiting any Pizza Express again.

Terrible staff, hideous food, ordered a chicken cesar salad that looked out of date. Very expensive, £13.20, absolute joke and will not be returning!

Booked table for 14:15, queue was approx 20 people long who had also all booked tables. We were eventually shown to a table at 15:00. No explanation when asked, no sorry, all people queuing in the rain outside saying the same thing, why let people book tables if they’re not available! On entering they didn’t ask about reservations or check when or how many we had booked for at all, just asked if we wanted table for 6 and showed us in. Pasta dish was served and looked like half had been eaten (3 of our party had different pastas and all the same!). There was no social distancing at all, tables wedged in and people sat on all of them. Individual waiter was lovely and was trying his best. But clearly they cannot cope with 50% off offer at all. We appreciate people want to eat out and enjoy the offer, but there is no point in offering the choice to book and still making people wait! We expected maybe a 5-10 min wait but 45 mins with no explanation is completely unacceptable. If we hadn’t of had hungry children and a sleeping baby in the pram we wouldn’t have wasted our time, no wonder they’re closing lots down.

£14 for very basic pasta. £6.70 for disappointing meagre puddings. Anyone paying full price will be very disappointed.

Walked in to ask if they happened to have a table. Some woman shook her finger and said "no tables all day" and walked away. Lovely.

3 times I’ve been here. Shocking all 3 !! We complained & left after a very unapologetic sorry from waitress. She knew it was a crap pizza.

Service here is horrible. They ignored me. And it takes years fir them to arrive. Don't come. Don't waste money.

We decided to come here as I had a 40% off voucher and since Cobham does not have many restaurants we wanted a change. One friend had the mushroom risotto, another had a Calzone Nduja (contained peperoni, peppers and spices) and I had a pasta. For dessert we all chose the Caffe Real - baby figs in a spicy wine sauce with mascarpone cheese and a coffee. The waiter was French and very friendly, but the service was a bit slow as we were in a pay and display car park - another problem with Cobham!

Rather disappointed with my visit this evening. Was given a nice table but had to wait a while for drinks order. Waiter came up to us and just raised his eyebrows? No greeting or welcome or "would you like to order drinks"? Waiter tried to get us to order extras in quite an abrupt way. No salt or pepper on our table or on neighbouring tables. As no waiting staff available I had to wander around the restaurant trying to find some. Food was OK but pizza lukewarm and soggy. Didn't stay for dessert as staff emptying bins and carrying out binliners right next to our table which was offputting. Waiter almost threw bill at us - perhaps just his manner but friendly service would have made all the difference.

I visited before a work meeting in the area, the waiter was excellent, very attentive and friendly. The food arrived fast but was unfortunately not up to the usual standard of the dish I have had many times from this chain. I would visit again but maybe order an alternative dish or leave more time in order to as k for the dish to be improved.

Visited on Sunday lunch time , trade was moderate and Antonia was lovely and efficient, food was very good and it was interesting to see chefs going out of kitchen to greet the customers when waiting team were busy on table . Would definitely come back and re recommend this location.

We arrived and saw a sign outside promising a meal deal for £12.95. Upon going inside and ordering we were told that this only applied Monday to Friday despite there being nothing on the sign saying this. Seems like a low brow way to lure people in over the weekend and make them feel like they’ve got to spend more money than they planned.

Unfortunately it seemed that the restaurant was understaffed and even though it was not very busy for lunchtime we had to repeatedly ask for everything - for the menus, the drinks, to order and to get the bill and then to pay the bill. We had similarly poor service about 2 years ago but thought we would give the restaurant another try. We won't be going back.

Great service today. There was a pizza I liked that wasn’t on the menu anymore. The waiter, manager and chef worked together to make it for me. Absolutely fabulous. Would recommend a visit.

The restaurant was quiet we had about 35 guests this was made up of 24 young footballers and approximately 10 more staff including coaches and drivers. The manager was friendly and polite and maybe it was because there was 35 of us the service was a little crazy . One football coach got a burnt pizza we were tired hungry and it was late but the quality of service was sadly poor . The waiter took half of our table drinks orders then ran off served someone else and then came back similar with the food, so the food and drinks came out sporadically with some eating before others and so on. these were young men playing at the local Chelsea Football Training centre which had gone well but to be fair to the restaurant it may have been a little too much for them to handle at 9.15 pm on a Saturday night.I did not think much of the pizza I got and having not eaten in Pizza Express for a while I was expecting something a little better. Maybe as a former chef in London it is not speed or panic but good food that wins the customer and waiting a little is ok but if the food is burnt or not that little bit special that is what the customer will remember most.

The team were very accommodating and efficient. A particular thanks to Bruno and Tyrone who took great care of us. We had great food and the atmosphere was spot on. Many thanks!

AWFUL. We popped in and asked if they were open, the team said they were so we had a seat. There were at least 20 people working and yet the service and atmosphere was terrible. Turns out it’s their opening day, so I don’t understand how corporate/trainers and managers can be in there distracting all the staff that should be serving their first customers. At no point did we feel welcome, in fact it was like we had interrupted a team meeting / jolly. Absolutely the WORST pizza express experience we’ve ever had. Shocking, don’t bother going to that branch.

Fantastic meal, we turned up with no booking at 3.30pm for a late lunch. 2 adults and 3 hungry children. Waiter was brilliant, kids wanted things added to pizzas and everything arrived exactly as ordered.

I think we know what one can expect from eating here? It is predictable, good but in my opinion, expansive for what it is you are getting in the ingredients and what you are paying for to eat it, especially when kids. I really wish they are a bit more price sensitive, they would have done so much better!?

Pizzas were pretty good. Staff are odd and a bit unprofessional. Today there was some guy dressed in a Chelsea fan kit wandering around grabbing milk, scratching his head then serving garlic butter pots. Took us a while to figure out that he was possibly the store manager...??? Very very odd.

We have a bit of addiction to Pizza Express and dine there at least twice a month. Visited dozens of Pizza Express’s over the years across the UK, so whilst staying the area, we dined in here.

I hadn’t been out to pizza express in a long time and as we parked nearby my friend we thought we’d give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised.

Popped in after a very Disappointing wait at a local gastro pub. The service was fast and very friendly and the food great! There’s a very good reason this place keeps going!. Thanks for a lovely evening Guys. I highly recommend this place.

To the manager of this branch - please take note. We sat right next to this table full of other people’s left overs for over 30 mins. The staff just kept walking past it. Finally after complaining 3 times it was cleared (by a very resentful waiter). I know this is a chain but I still don’t want to eat my dinner surrounded by left over food & drinks. Clearly you need more staff as I’m writing this, 4 more tables have been left dirty for about another 20 mins. There needs to be more respect of people’s eating experience here as it completely lets it down

The most rubbish service ever, shown to a table and left.... decided to move to a more obvious position and then another table was served and we were left , not even a drink, jumped in the car and drove to the Esher Pizza Express where we were looked after very well, the pizza express in Cobham needs a kick up the proverbial... even when we were at Esher restaurant a friend turned up to collect a pizza takeaway , they had rung the cobham branch and were told it would be an hour, Esher said 15 mins !!!!!!!

We are great fans of pizza express, never really been disappointed when we visit here. Always good service and the food is as good as usual.

Tired of waiting after half an hour for a drink, we had asked a number of times. Tired of asking where our two pizza's were after an hour. Date night for two busy parents, just wanting a pizza and salad..... An expensive night as no food delivered, we decided to call a halt to the farce of continually asking and being delayed. No interest in the customers and it was more than half empty.... Boring boring......

We were a group of five, all with different tastes but all managed to find something delicious on the menu. Most had pizzas and all were perfect, especially the American Hot with extra Tuna and a Soft Egg!! Try it.

So where to go when you need to fill the family -good wholesome food well cooked - some might turn their nose up at PE but this reviewer is happy to say anytime you need to take the family for a good meal PE will not let you down- good food well cooked

We had dinner here with friends and my 4 year old boys were quite hyper. The staff were very attentive and the food as ever for Pizza Express was excellent

We’d been out for a walk on Esher Common and afterwards we decided to have an early dinner with our 3 year old.

The service here is absolutely appalling. My friend and I took our daughters here as a treat before going to see Father Christmas. Even though the restaurant was not at all busy we were left standing at the door for a long while before being seated. We were finally seated by a male waiter with a terrible attitude, he was completely uninterested and had absolutely no people skills whatsoever. We then had to wait a long time before being able to order, this only happenden after we prompted another member of staff, who had to send our waiter over, who we had seen aimlessly hanging around chatting with the chefs! Finally three out of our four food orders arrived, with my daughter having to wait a further fifteen minutes for her meal to arrive. At no stage were we offered any apology for the bad service. Although our food was substandard, while we were at the restaurant we saw two other customers return their pizzas. This is the worst Pizza Express restaurant I have ever been to & a great disappointment as my friend & I regularly take our daughters to eat in Pizza Express restaurants. We definitely will not be returning to this particular restaurant & understand now why it was so empty! Although I am sure it is not the case with every member of staff, however our waiter definitely needed some basic customer service training.

Went there with my young son on Sunday afternoon at 5pm when it was very quiet. The food when it came was fine, but the service is truly awful. Really slow and inattentive staff and you constantly have to grab the staffs attention to hurry up each course, and ask for the bill (if I hadn’t done that I would probably still be sitting there). Unfortunately this isn’t an isolated case - we go there every now and then and the service is always bad and turns what should be a family treat, into a disappointing and frustrating experience. After last weekend I vowed to learn my lesson and never go again.

Apart from Napole, Italy, they have the best pizza I've ever eaten! Their mozzarella classic it is just PERFECT!!! My kids and husband also love their Polo Pesto.

Habiendo estado viniendo aquí durante años. La comida estaba por debajo de la media. No es especialmente concurrido, pero el servicio era horrible y venía con un montón de actitud. Se hizo progresivamente ocupado y el servicio progresivamente rechazada. Aparte de tener parientes ancianos con nosotros, nos habríamos ido al igual que muchas personas que estaban esperando en la puerta izquierda. Muy decepcionante. Algunas habilidades de atención al cliente en serio necesaria para el personal y la administración.

Visitamos el viernes por la noche, el momento de la reserva, pero tuvimos que cambiar de mesa personal hizo que no hay problema.

I visited Pizza Express in Cobham on a Thursday evening with my dad. We have been to lots of other branches before but for some reason this one seemed extra good. We both ordered the exact same, dough balls and a Polla Ad Astra pizza each, both were delicious! The service we received was also very good. Would 100% recommend visiting this branch in particular! :)

Visited many times , good value , staff seem to change over frequently though , maybe a retention issue , but food and service consistantly good level

If your looking for a causal dinner with family and friends then come here it has been updated and yes time to time kids can be noisy and run around but they do amazing pizza and staff are very nice so grab your keys and come here

A fairly quiet Tuesday evening so you would expect the service to be top quality as it should be at all times however it took ages to get served, none of the staff seemed to really care or be interested! The mains took a very long time to arrive. A few of the pizzas were very dry and extremely crispy! The lasagne was plain and dull tasting. When we eventually got the staffs attention as we wanted to pay the bill. The manager was sitting in a table near us eating and a member of staff was sitting on the floor next to her! So unprofessional!The bill arrived and had to be explained to us !!!!! They had mixed up our bill with the table behind us! They added us all together for some bizarre reason! I would say they were so not bothered with their service at all.Not a place to visit again. There are many more nice places in Cobham!

Nice food, nice staff, nice experience, apart from the background music, for some reason the music was just a droning noise? Apart from that it's Pizza Express as expected, it does what says on the tin!

ordered a takeaway this evening from pizza express Cobham. I haven't eaten here in over a year since the last time we ate there the pizzaiolo had burnt some pizzas and the restaurant had filled with smoke and the time before, we waited for over an hour for one pizza and one salad (the wait was so pitifully slow that the table next to us got up and walked out, despite the restaurant being only a third full). Anyway, this evening's takeaway was for a get together with friends. What a mistake. We should have got food from the fish and chip shop over the road instead. My pizza, a plain cheese and tomato with extra mushrooms on a romano (stretched) base was so terribly disappointing. There were 6 blobs of mozzarella (I counted them) and approx 10 slices of mushroom. The pizza was so dried up the tomato base was more like puree and the base...........well what can I say? Having worked for the brand (pizza express) for 6 years I know an old dough when I eat one and this had been sitting around for a lot longer than it should and by rights should have been in the bin, not in my takeaway box. It was so tough I had to tear the pizza apart, even a serrated knife would not cut it up. It was so chewy and tough that I could have been eating a dog chew - in fact a dog chew might have tasted a little more palatable. The worst bit? It cost a whopping £14.95!! Next time I'll just save myself the bother and buy a pizza express from waitrose - at least you know the quality will be better and you can cook it yourself meaning it won't be dried up and inedible.

Loved the pizza and the dough balls and would recommend the Legara Pollo Adastra but the service was very poor and we waited 25 minutes after asking for the bill before we received it.

It's the second time now I find this restaurant reluctant to honour its published deals - unless your prepared to make a song and dance about it. This time we all bought main menu starters + mains which offered a FREE dessert. When the bill came, desserts were added at full price - before being quickly removed when challenged. I just find this opportunistic. The foods nice but time and again we find the policy is to dodge giving the deal by any means possible.

We were a table of 5, (2 adults, 2 teenagers and a 5 year old). It was mid week at lunchtime and including ourselves there were 15 customers in the restaurant. We sat down at 13:30 and walked out 2 hours later. The food was fine, but the service incredibly slow. It is the first time I have not left a tip - ever!There were two waiting staff, a chef and a manageress. The Manageress vanished and even though I pointed out how long we'd been waiting, it made little difference. No apology or explanation for the slow service.It was supposed to be a quick lunch and onto other activities, not the protracted affair it became.I will simply never go to that franchise again.

Went out for dinner as 2 families with young kids. Service was very slow. We had to wait quite a while before they came to take our orders and again it took quite a while before the food came out. They also forgot one of the pizzas. They seemed very much understaffed. The food was very nice which was the only saving grace. The toilet floors were also very dirty (muddy) and one of the two ladies toilet did not have any paper and it wasn't replaced by the end of our night there either.

We arrived and as we waited a good 5 mins to get seated as there only appeared to be 2 or 3 waiting staff on for a restaurant that was half to 2/3rds full. We had to go and find our own children's menus and chase down a server every time we wanted to order something or pay. The service when we did get it was nice but they were clearly hadn't planned the staffing levels well. Our pizzas were burnt but as we were really hungry by the time they arrived we just got on with it & didn't complain. We had planned to have a quick lunch but found ourselves rushing back to the car park as we were right on our 2hr limit.

We usually visit when there's a deal on, which makes it good value.You know what to expect, and it's functional. Good place to take kids for a meal.Staff often seem over stretched. But they're always helpful if you want to swap toppings on a pizza.

Had a great experience here. Mistake with bone of the mains was corrected immediately and of course there was no charge. Great management and a sign of real confidence. Great pasta and a superb pizza. Two large peroni did the trick as well. I think this is a great value and reliable restaurant.

I love Pizza Express. It's one of my favourite Pizza restaurants. I've been using the chain since 1979. Since then, I've had the same pizza, but unfortunately this year they removed it from their menu, not a problem, I re-create it from another one. I like the staff, locations, decor, and they also have a large print menu.

So I received an email stating I could get a free bottle of bubbly, a bottle of wine or 4 bottles of beer as it was my birthday. Clearly not. The code I received was on my email, but when it came to showing the email, the code was no longer there and it clearly said it was valid for 4 weeks. I even showed the waiter on my arrival before ordering one of those options. Came to the bill which was 70Quid with 3 mains and 2 starters. An utter joke as I was charged for my bottle of bubbly. Don't false advertise something that isn't going to work! Also service was shocking, no knowledge.. they aren't even trained to poor a bottle of processo to the customers. Take the time to fully train your staff. Overall poor visit.

Don't get me wrong this isn't a culinary experience but the market needs places like Pizza Express.As the name implies it serves Pizza (and more besides) and they do it very well.They're very heavily offer driven so make sure that you go on-line to get one of their latest promotions.The Cobham branch sits in Anyards Road right next to Majestic Wine.Inside it follows the usual Pizza Express design with open-plan kitchen.It's popular with a wide demographic and especially kids.The wines are OK but the bottled beers good.Service can be a bit random but on the night we went (very busy) our Server coped very well.It is what it is and does it capably well.

Wanted a quick meal on way back from Croydon so popped into pizza express Cobham. Was very busy and fortunately they had table although at back of restaurant. Amazingly staff seemed not to notice us after we were seated and then took a long time to get someone to take an order. Food was slow coming but appreciate it was busy. Restaurant was short staffed and staff poorly trained. Pizza arrived which was Warm not hot. Then found was not cooked in the middle. Was replaced without question but disappointing it happened.

You can be pretty sure that bar a few mishaps, Pizza Express food will be reliable. It's hard to go wrong and the margins on a pizza when you're charging over £12 should mean that attention to service through good training is achievable. But goodness me, what a shocker. The staff are pleasant, they're not rude, but the concept of service is woefully missing in this branch. I lost count of the times I had to actually get up and find someone to either clear the food or get us the bill. We were given very hot glasses for our water (duh), and despite the bill showing the selected topping they still served up the wrong one. I see that service charge is not included, thank goodness for that. But really - senior management - this is down to you - invest in good training for your staff.

I decided to go to this chain on a whim, I loved the food there so I ducked in and got a table by myself. At first, it was empty and I was served by a female waiter, which was perfectly fine. Everything went smoothly until dessert, when I called over another male waiter. I asked if it was alright to order dessert now, and he told me he'd go off to fetch my waiter (the girl.) twenty minutes passed and I wasn't sure if he'd forgotten as the girl never came back to my table.I called him over again, the store was busier now so I tried to patient in tone and stated it had been twenty minutes and the girl had not yet come by. He cut me off before I could finish and snapped at me "it was five minutes" and walked off.Ten minutes pass again, he stares at me and says okay while just rudely near chucking the plate infront of me. I apologised for upsetting him but he still remained cold.I eat dessert, call him over once last time for the bill, only for his nasty attitude to vanish as he's handing me the card machine. I don't really want to visit this place again, not with the staff like they are. It's left such a bad taste in my mouth.

We were greeted by a nice young lad who was very nice and was really nice towards my friends little girl. The lad took our order and this was the last we saw of him. We got our starters - great. We got our mains - great! We then had a long wait... Waited approx 30-40mins before I politely asked a waiter if our table could be cleared and if we could have a desert menu. He replied '1 minute' and walked away (this was not the first young lad that served us! This was another waiter. He was prob in his 40's). Anyway he wasn't '1 minute' so I had to ask another guy who must be the manager as he wasn't in the normal pizza express shirt. He was equally as useless as the '1 minute' guy. Both did not crack a smile and was quite rude! In my eyes they are lucky to have a job and should really be demoted to the back to wash dishes! This way they won't need to smile. Customer service is NOT there strong point! Anyway, the manager sent over a lovely lady who was nice, smiled and was very polite! Doesn't cost anything for this kind of service! I will not be visiting this place again because of the 2 members of staff!

great little spot for a good honest pizza that is fresh and fits a budget I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it. staff were also friendly

We went to celebrate our granddaughter's first birthday. First impressions were marred by a sullen, miserable and not at all pro-active waiter. Frankly, if this were my restaurant I would fire him immediately. Fortunately, we were very lucky that while he was distracted doing anything not to assist customers, we were lucky enough to have Hannah as our server. Her politeness and efficiency made up for our initial impression. The food was great and Hannah really saved the day by making this a very enjoyable experience. Memo to Pizza Express HQ, promote Hannah she knows how all about good customer service. Staff like this are very hard to come by.

Took 50 pupils for a school visit to Cobham Pizza Express. Staff were so welcoming and kind and were happy to cater for all our different needs. Food was served quickly and efficiently. Thanks for a great experience.

Been coming to Cobham Pizza Express for the last 10 years; but for the last year there has been significant delay between every stage of the meal; no fun with children. 10 minutes to be offered a drink. 20 minutes waiting for some olives or a dough balls. 45 mins for a pizza aaaargh!

Group of 5 mums and 2yr olds arrived before 12 and ordered immediately - restaurant pretty quiet - 2-3 other tables in.After 35 minutes waiting with restless toddlers we chased our order (simple pizzas) and manager and staff were pretty rude in response. Eventually pizzas arrived after 50 minutes after much chasing. Really disappointing for a family restaurant. It wasn't even that busy when we ordered. Won't be going back again. Carluccios is much better for eating with kids. Pizza Express best avoided. Looking at the reviews we're not the only ones.

Went to Pizza Express Cobham for a children's birthday party early this evening. The service is not acceptable, all the mums had to serve and clear all courses. All food was pre-ordered so should not have been any delays, especially at 4.30pm. I was so pleased I was not the one paying.

Of course sometimes it doesn't all go to plan but the performance of this restaurant was one of the most pathetic I have ever seen. The restaurant was a third full, yet we waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged, and was then told they needed 10 minutes to clean a table. After 15 minutes we were eventually seated but it took another 20 minutes to take our order. Why? The restaurant staff were at war with each other. The kitchen were arguing, the serving staff was ignoring them and the customers, they had given up clearing the tables, and they were turning people away at the door saying they were closed despite it being well before the advertised closing time. It was probably one of the most poisonous atmospheres I have ever eaten in.The food when it came was scarcely adequate. But that is hardly surprising given that no one in the restaurant cares about the customers, each other or the brand.When we complained, the staff were defensive and snotty, blaming it on the previous manager and 'the nature of the business'Reading other reviews, it's seems Pizza Express don't care either. Someone needs to resolve this.It is an awful place. Don't go.

Your service is disgusting. Your members of staff are grumpy, look bored and do not bother helping out customers. It took twenty minutes to be seated at the beginning. A meal that should have taken an hour tops took three. Never again will I visit

The level of service at the Cobham branch was an embarrassment and unacceptable for what we have come to expect from the chain. We arrived and waited 10 minutes for someone to come and greet us. The waiting staff seemed completely oblivious. There was no queue, and plenty of tables, so can only take it down to poor management and no one be assigned to greet. In the end we got bored of waiting and left and went to Strada.We always enjoy Pizza Express, and would visit another branch. But won't be returning to the Cobham restaurant any time soon.

I came here with my Sister and my baby for some lunch during the week. We waited quite a while to be acknowledged to be seated, eventhough it wasnt very busy; however there were only 2 waiting staff on shift and even the chefs were clearing tables, that needs a rethink, the poor staff were running around like crazy! We had the 11.95 deal and staff accomodated having our starters and mains at the same time. We had dough balls, garlic bread with mozarella (this was a bit burnt) a leggera pizza and a classic pizza. Very yummy and fresh. I think the company need to invest however in a bit of a makeover, the chairs are very tatty and wobbly, the tables are wobbly and even the pepper mills looked a bit sad! Staff were great, venue not so much.

I have been to this Pizza Express many times. Up until about 4 months ago all was well. Decent service, decent food.I am guessing the franchise has changed hands because my last two visits have been absolutely disastrous.Both have been characterised by exceptionally poor service, huge inefficiency and appalling wait times in an often close to empty restaurant. On the first of my recent visits the order was wrong and late, my children's food was burnt. They halved the bill but not impressed.My second visit ended after 30 minutes. The first 5 minutes were spent standing by the door being ignored. Finally we were seated. We then spent 10 minutes waiting for a menu and a further 15 minutes not having our order taken. We walked out.I will certainly not be returning until the current franchisees have moved on.

So after having to wait at the entrance for 5 minutes on a quiet afternoon I then had to wait Atleast 20 mins for my dinner to arrive which was delicious when it did arrive just very annoying that I had to wait so long to be seated and then wait so long for my food to arrive. I don't highly recommend!

Love this place...cant beat Pizza Express...a smashing place with fantastic staff...the very best...go back time and time again...ask for MO...

Pizza Express is a chain and a very consistent one at that, but this one is better than most, and we come here often. Staff are really nice and they do care about their locals. Well done PE!

Food is always excellent and comes out on time, this is a regular restaurant of ours. They always accommodate my fussy menu choices too!

First time here and loved it. Really well cooked pizzas just enough crisp but not too much, great toppings. And all with a wonderful bottle of prosecco - their birthday treat to me! Thank you !

One of the better branches I've been to and the full restaurant with customers with a queue getting turned away. Kids were well looked after and you can't go wrong with dough ball and an American. Really good!

Yes it's a chain, but that's where the staff make a difference. Our waitress was excellent! Most people worry when a family with four children come in, but she spoke to each one as a customer and was very attentive.I would happily take the family to eat out more, if all staff were like her. I didn't catch her name, but she is a credit to the branch and the brand.Highly recommended.

Какого-то интерьера специального нет, очень популярно у школьников соседних школ и молодежи. Но качество блюд хорошее, пицца очень вкусная!!! На тонком тесте, как положено! Вино не дорогое!

Of course it;s a chain so the menu is predictable but this venue is good because it has an oval (made up of segments) table where the 7 of us could eat & talk to everyone else around the table. Service was fine & the restaurant appears to have been fairly recently revamped so is less utilitarian than others in the chain. The pizzas & salads we all chose were great.

Arrived at restaurant for an early meal, waiting staff really not interested. Had to go find our own children's menu in the end. Everything was a struggle for them even though there were plenty of staff available. Have had positive experiences previously. Not somewhere I would recommend.

Nice service, good fresella and extraordinary slow. Get ready to wait 2h at least to get to the main course.

As a chain you know what you are going to get from Pizza Express. They have really good offers and I don't think we have ever paid full price although we visit the Cobham branch at least once a month. You don't need to book but obviously they can be busy at the weekend. Service varies whoever is on. It is generally very good but we have had a couple of not so good waiters who have kept us waiting.

I tried to order over the phone It was constantly engaged so I drove there When I walked in it was empty 2 tables only Was called from the other end of the restaurant which I thought was incredibly rude They really need to sort this place out I took a picture to show it was empty Thank goodness the pizza was better than the service It was delicious Shame the management and staff made me give it such a low rating

I love Pizza express I think its exactly what is says on the tin.. a great pizza at a reasonable price.not as good as other I have been too but I would certainly return!
