Pizza Express in Elmbridge

Was a quiet lunchtime so not much 'atmosphere' but food great and staff very helpful and attentive.

Went for a group birthday with family not our first visit there Our server was fantastic we were very needy 🤣 food was great atmosphere was good service fast and efficient thanks to all staff members

I came in yesterday and I was quick to be seen by a young girl with red hair, who served us as well, she was very sweet to us as we have never been to this establishment before and explained the app to us when we sat down. The food was amazing, overall it was a great experience and the waitress was wonderful.

Awesome food. Lots of amazing options. Very good atmosphere. Children’s menu and colouring. Very nice staff, fast service.

When we went it was quite busy. We spent a total of 3+hours there with the wait for the starters, food and dessert. There was definitely a shortage of staff for busy nights as service was slow, uncleaned tables and cutlery on the floor. The staff was still nice & the food was good like any pizza express.

Visit to restaurant at not a busy time and with plenty of staff one would assume good service. We got seen to table and served drinks. Ordered food and waited……had another drink and waited….. meanwhile other guests that arrived after us were served food paid and left. But still no food ! Now one hour since we sat down. When we asked waiter he said there had been a printer error apologised and we were told 15 mins. After further 30 mins we got up and left. On the way out we were told they were ‘ just putting orders in oven ‘ Forget it !!! Pizza express …. More like disorganised. We did however find a superb Italian restaurant just a bit further up the road where the service and food were exceptional

Awful. More than 2 hrs wait. Over 15 Uber drivers canceled because order wasn't ready. When I call pizza express I'm being told might be 20 mins(after more than 2 hrs wait) but at the same time I been recommended to cancel my order because kitchen is packed tonight. Never order from them again. It happened before but this time learnt the lesson. Awful.

Gets very busy at peak times, short staffed, food can be excellent, but waiting time can be long. Icy cold drafts near front door, take warm clothes and thick trousers in winter.

Not enough staff. Had to flag down staff to order our food. Then had to flag down a staff member to order more drinks. Food took ages to come and one of our starters was missing. Then took ages for them to bring the dessert menu and then ages to ask if we wanted anything. By that point all our drinks were finished so we didn’t bother ordering dessert as we didn’t know how long it would take. The food we did have was hot fresh, tasted nice and was well presented. Just a shame it took so long and that an item was missing. The staff were polite and friendly when they spoke to you. The always seemed to be busy so it was difficult to get their attention and they didn’t come over to the table very often. Think I will try going to Walton or Windsor next time in the hope that they have more staff.

Ordered food for delivery and the the pizza was slopped all over the place, hardly any cheese, some parts were bare and it looked like it had been thrown together buy a child. The pasta dish was even worse, cold, and looked like someone had thrown a tiny bit of chicken and chorizo though a minser with a bit of tomato sauce, another dish with no care or love. Spoke to the manager and is option was i spend more money and order via a different app telling me justeat are know for delivering cold food. All he seem to do was pass the buck and then offer a desert and drink as compensation. He had no intention of sorting the problem and has left us hungry and very unhappy. Save your money and do not use this restaurant!

What has gone wrong with Pizza Express in Weybridge? I’m local and have eaten there dozens of times. It has always been the standard for good service, a great pizza and a lovely informal night out with family and friends. I went there this evening, we waited 25 minutes to get a drink, nearly an hour for the starters to be delivered, then the pizzas came 90 minutes after we first arrived, one of which had to be returned; something that has never happened before. Shame, not sure I’ll be rushing back. I reckon; inexperienced staff, poor management and too much focus on take outs. Shockingly bad this evening.

Always disappointed with the service Now they change the way of delivery drivers pick up its a back side of shop all dirty bin are here they send unhygiene food to the costumer . I will report food safety department as well here its some proof. They treat delivery driver like homeless . Never communicate .

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Pizza Express. After finishing our meal, we waited a staggering 30 minutes for the bill, even after asking multiple times. The service was beyond unacceptable. To make matters worse, they redeemed my voucher without informing me. I only realized this when I got home, which felt very dishonest and unprofessional. I was hoping for a nice meal out but left feeling frustrated and let down. I won’t be returning anytime soon. 1/5 stars.

I recently visited this pizzeria, and it was a fantastic experience! The waitstaff were incredibly polite communicative, and knowledgeable about the menu making the visit truly enjoyable The manager also did an excellent job ensuring everything ran smoothly If you’re looking for great pizza and outstanding service I highly recommend this place worth a visit!

When we think of pizza this is where we head, I have a small appetite so the leggera is my preferred option. We booked a table for 7.30 pm, we eventually got our food at 8.45pm. I realise that the place was very busy but it grated somewhat that customers who had not taken the trouble to make a reservation were served before us When our order eventually arrived we ate as we were so hungry but the food was just about Luke warm, the staff were most apologetic and knocked a drink off the bill. Won't be going back on a Friday any time soon!

Takeaway was over 30mins later than stated time

The staff were exceptional – they managed everything seamlessly, making the event run smoothly and effortlessly. Pizza Express in Weybridge is our all-out family choice for enjoying pizza. The staff is attentive, drinks are served fast and orders are taken explaining the pizzas. The pizzas are delicious, flavoursome and good till last bite.

The team are always really friendly and welcoming to me and my family. The kids love it too.

Where to even begin! We took our two week old daughter out for the first time for a lunch at the Weybridge Pizza Express. The staff were awesome straight away and asked questions about our little one. The food was phenomenal. The service was so quick and friendly. At the end of our meal, we were presented with a Receipt saying our meal had been covered by the staff!! Unbelievable, such kindness from all 3 of the wonderful staff members and a memory that will live for a long time. Thankyou team, you made our day.

Was our first visit to pizza express and it was lovely had a mix up with our order but it was resolved quickly and easily had a wonderful waitress who was friendly and accommodating especially when I needed help with the app Table 5 waitresse I can’t remember her name!

Just had lunch here. The waitress did her best and was very polite but the overall experience was dire. It took almost an hour for food to arrive and when it did, a substantial portion of it was a black and charred mess! Definitely not up to the standard of most branches! Lastly, had to have my children use the disabled toilet as the single men's toilet was disgusting and completely covered in urine.

Average quality pizza, quite thin and expensive!! The service from the waiters is also average!

Exceptionally poor customer service over the phone. Staff as well as manager borderline rude and pretty much clueless. One minute they can’t find my delivery order on the system the next minute it’s out for delivery. Put on hold for ages as staff scrambled to find the manager who was equally unhelpful and rude enough to ask if i had ordered with the correct branch. Food did eventually arrive close to an hour after the order was placed. Thankfully the food was as good as usual. Really disappointing and disheartening experience on the phone

So impressed with the team and outstanding service! We were hosting a Birthday party & were let down by a Pizza company (who were going to make pizzas on site) who used the wrong postcode & ended up hours away. A quick call to the Weybridge team and they were amazing. Within 45 minutes, I drove off with a car full of pizzas! Thank you everyone - you saved the day!

Good venue for small birthday occasions

Really impressive visit to pizza express weybridge. We visited with our 5 week old baby and were made to feel welcomed. Our waitress Fika really went above and beyond, I was feeding my baby when the food arrived and she cut my pizza up for me which was really kind and considerate. The baby change was clean and easy to use. Good food and service will go again !!

Nice atmosphere and good service.

I didn’t get my water and the service was very slow. The atmosphere was very hot and it was cramped with people everywhere.

Great food but service was very slow. We realised after a while that those that were getting their food quicker were using the app to order. Even though we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant and there were lots of staff rushing around we felt like we were being ignored. We saw others going up to pay at the desk as they had also got fed up of waiting. We had to ask for dessert menu as after half of our plates had been cleared the same lady got distracted and didn’t come back to finish the job. So we ended up with the remaining plates on the table while we were eating our dessert. Also it’s quite off putting when you are eating and couriers keep walking past the table for collections for takeaway deliver. Could this not be arranged that they collect from a delivery door instead? The toilets also needed a good clean, it was obviously they had not been cleaned for a while and also could do with a proper revamp. We were also charged for 3 peroni rather than the two we had had so had to sort that out before we paid.

Only issue I had with this visit was the way the chef cooked the romana garlic prawn pizza.... adding way too much tomato base and then more on top, almost drowning the other toppings. Otherwise a pleasant dining experience.

One of the best pizza expresses locally within a 5 mile radius. Yes I’ve tried them all, and the service and quality is best here.

Order a takeaway via their site. Left message on phone hour before saying wanted eggs either side of pizza runny sunny side up-ignored. Only did one egg. Asked for other. Plopped both eggs in centre of pizza in a mess broken. Hardly any toppings on Hawaiin pizza. Don't order takeaway-in restaurant much better, they take more care and give more reasonable amount of toppings. Gold discount very good though.

Not 5 star has the we ended up paying for rewards

We've been going to Pizza Express for over 20 years but the last time we went was truly shocking. Waited over 30 minutes to have our order taken, then another 20 for half the starters to arrive. They totally forgot my starter which I had to have with my main course. Which arrived burnt, tasteless, lacking in toppings and overall just poor. Had it not been my father's 80th birthday, we would have walked out immediately. Won't be going back. Staff are absolutely clueless, overworked and understaffed and is blatantly obvious to the customers.

We are visiting from Canada. Family visit. We are staying at the Ship Hotel. Saw the restaurant, went online. Decided we would go order a pizza and come back to the hotel, relax and eat the pizza. As we approached we saw seating then we asked the server if we may sit. She asked if we had booked. No we didn’t because we were not aware. She went to someone else who said they would clean off a table and we could. Appreciated this. Ford and service were delicious. Please update your website and means for communication to others. “Dine in and bookings recommended”

If feals that you can get artisan high quality pizza, but it tested and looked like a factory/machine made - and expensive.

Everything was perfect and having a friendly, welcoming server made the experience even better. The gluten free base has improved greatly and I really enjoyed the vegan American hot pizza on the gf base. The jingle Bellini was delicious too. Overall atmosphere was lovely too

I have not been to Pizza Express in 5 years, but recently I was exhibiting in Esher and stayed in the Ship Hotel at Weybridge. Pizza Express was opposite so myself and 5 colleagues booked a table at 7pm. We looked at the menu and ordered a variety of food. The waitress was very pleasant , helpful and courteous. The food was tasty although 7 Polenta chips for £6.50 seemed excessive. There was no option for normal chips ? The food was tasty and hot and really hit the spot. At this point I must explain the reason for the low score ! We were tired and had a few beers and enjoyed letting our hair down after a very busy day. One of my party took a kids colouring picture and some crayons, putting in front of our youngest colleague, joking that he should draw a picture. It was a bit of fun. The Deputy Manager came over immediately and almost shouted at the table; "These are for children" and snatched the crayons and paper off the table with a thunderous look on her face and stormed off. Our waitress apologized and retrieved the crayons and paper and placed them on the table, understanding it was a bit of fun. This time the deputy manager appeared again and repeated her rant, before we had chance to say anything, repeating her rant. We were not acting loudly, we were not 'drunk', we were simply relaxing and the deputy manager spoiled the atmosphere. We intended to order dessert, after dinner drinks and relax further, but after our run in with this rude lady we decided to leave. The food was great, our waitress was awesome but the reactions to some simple fun by the deputy manager was harsh, rude and disrespectful.

This has to be the nicest feeling Pizzaexpress in our area, and what a lovely place to be it is! We come here on a regular basis because the team here always goes above in beyond in making us feel welcome. They are efficient, patient and knowledgeable and somehow manage to stay on top of the front of house despite how chaotic it can get in there at peak times. Easily recommended - we absolutely love coming here with our kids.

The lady serving us was lovely. It was pretty lively for a Sunday and with music playing in the background it contributed to a good atmosphere. The food: starter was fine, main was embarrassing. My lasagne came out. It was tomato sauce and layers of pasta with melted cheese on top. Anyone expecting beef in the lasagne should avoid this dish. My wife's gluten free Margherita came out. You would expect a pizza restaurant to be able to make a basic pizza. It came out looking like a doctor Otker frozen margherita had just done 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. Raw red passata on a half cooked base with a few scattered blobs of cheese.

Wish I could say anything about the food but delivery kept being moved back got to their closing time and they still didn't feel the need to update my order and maybe let me know they cant fulfil so i can make an alterntive arrangement. Can't even call to talk to a human being when calling

Delivery service totally not good waiting too long staffs are joking each other not good at all

Waited 2hrs for the delivery and when contacting the restaurant they couldn't deliver due to not enough chefs. Turn off your delivery apps if you can't service customers. Very poor and cancelled the order.

Pizza Unexpress would be a more appropriate name!! Quite busy initially, no service, not even to order a drink. After ordering, nothing arrived for ages. Waitress extremely good at avoiding eye contact to ask if anything was coming. Chilli King Prawn starters were a joke, though not a funny 1!! Ordered 3 of them. 2 or 3, or even 2.5 tiny, cheap frozen prawns in them. King would be an offence under the Trade Descriptions Act!!! Chilli tomato would be a more accurate description. Pizza arrived lukewarm, as though it had been sat for sometime before being brought. Wasn't busy by now, but still took ages. 1 pizza arrived minus the extras that were ordered. Bill arrived, eventually, with items on that were 'free' specials. There were delivery guys waiting inside all the time we were there and seemed to get priority. All these guys standing around wearing large bike helmets doesn't add to the atmosphere of what is supposedly a restaurant in my opinion, detracts from it. All of this reminds me why I hardly ever go to P (U)E and can't understand why they are at all popular. Though this is probably the worst 1/experience I've had.

I asked for a Leggera Gamberetti. The worst pizza I have ever had. King prawns that looked shrimps dry.. not warm enough and the topping very poor and the salad fill hole in the middle was mainly spinach and no rocket as it used to be. Far too long to be served although the waitress was very lovely.

Owner of another branch that had transferred was very nice to us and celebrated our friends birthday with a free birthday cake aswell as excellent serice

Happy to take your money and then absolutely fail to live up to commitments. Ordered just 2 pizzas (so not even a complicated order) through just eat and have been waiting almost 2 hours. Cant get through on the phone either. I'm starting to wonder if anyone works here?

The chefs work and deserve credit as the food is quite nice but the serving staff are just rubbish. I took the plates to the kitchen to find staff just standing around. If you want food from here order from just eat Cannot wait to for the generic response that is pasted on to everyone’s review. It just goes to show how little they care and by reading the other reviews it doesn’t look like it will ever change.

I'm upset to update my review from all 5 stars across the board. The last time we went it was a mediocre experience but tonight was pretty bad. To start, the adults got their starters and after several minutes the waitress said the chef had misread the order and the kids starters were just going in the oven. Mistakes happen, so we weren't too bothered. Moving onto the main course. One of the children's pizzas had no cheese on half of it! We had to send it back so a second course was ruined as we couldn't eat together. Then when taking one of the kids to the toilets we saw the chef coming out of the toilet wearing hat and apron.. they shouldn't have been taken into the toilet! The restaurant was almost empty so it wasn't a case of them being rushed off their feet. Sadly that's the last time I'll be visiting Pizza Express in Weybridge.

Friendly and helpful staff but they kept trying to memorise the order and then re checking it with us and us having to correct it rather then just writing it down. Food was nice but some of the sides came out late. Clean and tidy

'It was great!' - from our 6 year old who said that he would give Pizza Express 5 stars in the car on our way home. Good gluten free and vegan options. Kids menu was good too - 3 courses for a very reasonable price. Child was given a mat of activities when we arrived which kept him occupied.

Place is right at the corner. If you sit close to window, you will get view of a busy street (good way to enjoy meal while looking at people and traffic). Pizza was nice and service was good too but a bit slow.

We had a return visit after an appalling previous visit The greatest asset Pizza Express Weybridge has is Monica she personally transformed our Pizza Express experience from our last visit with non working young staff just looking at each other Monica was charming efficient and delightful an absolute super star thank you We also must mention the gentleman waiter who has been at Weybridge a while and is always fantastic but on holiday on our last visit! Food was great Many thanks
