Very busy on arrival, but we were given a table, initially okay, took our order, we asked for my daughters starter to come with the mains but it came well before everyone elses food which took an incredibly long time to arrive, I appreciate they were busy initially but it was starting to quieten down. But then things just got worse, the staff consistently ignored us, they never did clean our table of our mains or starter plates. I had to constantly get their attention to get service, they were more interested in cleaning and getting ready to close up than serving their existing customers even though there was well over an hour until they closed. After constantly chasing I gave up on sweets and tried to get their attention to leave (our kids wanted to go to bed) but still they wouldn't come over. So we got up to leave, surprisingly then they shot over at which point I asked they cancel the sweets and just give the bill. Then they ran around for another 5 minutes not telling us what was going on and then said our sweets were ready when we were already stood up and trying to leave - I told them to take them away and bring the bill as I'd originally asked. No apology, my daughter didn't even get her sweet which should have been included for free in her childs meal. Will never go there again. Avoid - go there at your peril.

Possibly the worst restaurant in mk service was very poor food was terrible I had a calzone that looked like a cheese pastie from Greggs god knows what will happen with my colon tonight thanks

Very misleading offer. We came here for the £8.95 pizza offer but in absolutely tiny partially covered small print which we couldn’t see it states for one person only. On a table of 6 people this meant we only saved £4.50 in total, as only one pizza was eligible for the deal. The pizza was very basic and nothing great - for the price we will definitely not be visiting again. Misleading. Staff did not care.

Took our grandchildren here before the pantomime. Food was good service was excellent & the cocktail was very tasty. Used our tesco vouchers to pay

I’ve recently been diagnosed with coeliac, so eating out is still a bit nerve wracking for me. Thankfully, I was greeted at the door by a member of staff (didn’t get her name unfortunately!) who explained all of the gluten-free items and what precautions are taken. For the rest of the night, we were then served by Celine, who was super friendly and did her best to settle my nerves. I was given an allergen matrix and an explanation of how they prepare gluten-free orders. It’s hard not to feel like an inconvenience when dining out with dietary requirements, but Celine made me feel like the opposite, and I couldn’t be more grateful for how welcoming and attentive she was. Thank you Celine! Also, food was great (as usual) and loyalty app made the order even cheaper :)

Was seated then waited for 15mins to be servered. By 30mins of being in the restaurant we still hadn’t even had a glass of water. The food took exactly 1hr to be served. Under staffed and doesn’t look to be any manager. Shocking service.

Lovely Tuesday night meal. The restaurant was busier that we expected on a Tuesday night, however service was good & the food was nice. This is one of the better Pizza Expresses we have been to, so would definitely recommend.

Nice enough food & service but in terms of value for money Pizza Express has gone down hill. The Calzone was disappointing in size. For £16.45 I expected something near the size of a Pizza. Instead I got something looking like an oversized Cornish pasty! Very disappointed although it was tasty enough.

Located under xcape, so decent parking and easy to get into. Service was nice, paid with Tesco clubcard vouchers so value was fine, although not the cheapest drinks. Good quality food though and food served quickly.

Take for granted it must be a good pizza - and the rest falls apart. Ambience when half the restaurant is empty but families and boisterous kids as they arrive are clustered around your discrete table for two on Valentine's day! Service that is obviously inexperienced ( not their fault) but doesn't care. Cost huge - as much as top and cosy nearby restaurants. Menu choice deminished. We booked this Pizza Express in MK Xscape for an early Sunday lunch; we wanted to visit the other attractions in the morning. When we arrived, the restaurant was fully booked and people were being turned away if they had not booked. Despite booking a large table for our group, the restaurant staff were left scrambling to find a table. Overall, it felt like there were not enough staff to serve the restaurant floor; drinks and food were constantly late or things didn’t arrive. The food was good; the standard Pizza Express quality that you would expect. They new online app was pretty cool. It allowed us to see the bill in real-time and pay for it quickly via PayPal before leaving.

Went to pizza express at Xscape Milton Keynes last week and turned away as they were short staffed and not takingwalk ins. So I booked this week to be told there is at least a 40 wait. So we left! Rubbish avoid

A blend of cheap tomato sauce with some marks of N’duja sausage, tons of chilli 🌶️ and buffalo mozzarella which was just taken out from a freezer The glass of vine was ok 👌

The restaurant wasn’t busy on arrival but this didn’t seem to help the level of service. One of our starters was missed form the order so one of our party was left waiting whilst the rest of us ate. Dough balls were brought with literally a scraping of garlic butter in the dish - is that not a big part of the dough ball starter? Our mains eventually arrived but we had to clear our own table to take them - the staff seemed to ignore the fact plates were still on the table but brought out our mains regardless not once stopping to clear the tables. A jug of water was requested and only appeared when it was chased and then we were left for about 40 mins with no dessert orders being taken until we asked the manager to get the table cleared and our orders taken - in the meantime we cleared our table ourselves. When a starter is missed by the waiting staffed I would expect an effort to made to improve our dining experience…clearly not in this case. Probably the worst pizza express experience I’ve had. Will not be rushing back.

Oh dear. Meet up with a old friend before the cinema and n a Thursday. Not a busy restaurant… service very slow… pizza delivery quick but then table not cleared . Had to ask for coffee. …& then it was forgotten… tbh poor….

We visited as part of girls day out with grandchildren while the boys were at the football.The food and service were excellent but there was a male waiter - Dave who really shone! He was so lovely and kind and patient with the children and made the experience even better

Came here for a birthday meal with family...3rd visit to a pizza express & probably the last.Starters were nice but a bit expensive for what they were - dough balls...Meals;pizzas - lack of cheese, lack of toppings, dough wasnt crunchy.Staff very rude & tried to make us pay for things we didnt even order.Due to my partner & i already using our 02 priority code they wanted us to pay £55 between us...our total shouldve been £35.We then looked at the bill & started crossing items off as we didnt purchase them. The staff then said to forget about it.So make sure you check your bill before you leave!3/10 from us; we wont be recommending

The pizza wasn’t bad but the atmosphere was not great. We went out for a nice relaxing family meal but the music was so loud with a really strong beat meaning we had no chance of that nice relaxing meal we planed to have. The staff were ok but I wouldn’t choose to go back. We have found Ask to be much better. Probably the worst Pizza Express we have been to.

Having been to one of the pizza express in MK and having received no service at all earlier, we came across to this one as we were hungry and had got efficient service in the past.The waitress who served us was wonderful, very attentive and cheerful even though it was getting towards the end of the day.The food was also good as you would expect from a pizza express. Pizza express is not somewhere you go if you want a fine dinning experience, but it is great if you just need some good tasting food quickly.Thank you.

This restaurant was one of my favourites in Milton Keynes used to go there at least once a month with friends, but something has changed and it’s not for the good, I think the chefs or so what has become very different because the food just isn’t the same anymore, very disappointed not sure if I want to go back anymore.

Has the signs of a good pizza place. Nice restaurant, pizza’s cooked fresh in the oven. Unfortunately the pizza just was not very good. They had a coupon for half priced pizza’s, but I still was not impressed. Would rather pay a little more and have better tasting food. Average sums up my experience here.

There really isn't anything special about the place, just another Pizza Express. We have been here several times and the atmosphere is never very buzzing, but none of the staff are bad; nor do they go out of their way. Definitely a solid 3*

Prompt and efficient service. Good menu and not too busy. We both had the under 600 cal pizzas and these were very delicious. A nice meal from a high street chain.

Felt compelled to leave review after visiting for lunch yesterday (mon 6th Nov). We popped in for a quick bite to eat in an empty restaurant. Service therefore was understandably quick so can’t complain there. But the waitresses manner was shocking. She actually took me a back with how rude she was. Borderline confrontational? All round a very odd and uncomfortable experience. I can only imagine she was having a really rather bad day.

With it being 5th Nov - right after the firework display - we were expecting it to be very busy wait for a table. Luckily for us we got a table straight away. Prompt service throughout, great food - friendly staff.

Forget a quiet meal if that is what you would like. Despite not being that busy the cacophony of noise that customers are subject to was overwhelming. The conversations of customers competed with crying children and the racket from the kitchen. It was pointless playing background music because it was indecipherable. To be honest it was a relief to escape the restaurant at the end of the meal, my ears were certainly thankful. Of course it is down to the designers using hard surfaces throughout and an open kitchen but I am sure that there are methods of stopping the refraction that could be employed.

Greeted with a warm welcome and quickly seated. Drinks + food order taken and we didn't have to wait long for our starters. Mains of 2 pizza's very nice. Excellent customer service from the staff which made for a pleasant evening.

Last time we came in I ordered pesto pollo which was lovely, today we have visited again but I thought I'd order something different so I got myself a seafood dish, which had 3 prawns in it, burnt pasta and it was cold, didn't make a big deal out of it as we were in a rush, my husband ordered an American hot pizza which was nothing but the base and chilli oil but we still thought okay never mind maybe just a bad day, and then we received the bill and realised that everything was way over priced, maybe pizza express should consider hiring chefs that actually know about the Italian kitchen because the food wasn't worth half as much, the only thing that was done well was the service provided by the lovely waitresses they were very attentive and friendly, other than that we are very disappointed, we won't be returning.

He visitado muchas veces pizza express antes, pero no sentí la necesidad de escribir una crítica, aunque había sido de maravilla. Todo el personal aquí parece muy amable y apasionado de buen servicio. Esta vez, sin embargo, fui con mi familia y les prometió un día agradable y no me decepcionó. The staff couldn't have gone enough. Family with a 4 year old and straight away was given kids activity. Very accommodating staff. Food was fresh and brought out quickly. Loved their Xmas panettone cheese cake.

I had visited this place twice before and the service seems to be getting worse, the most annoying thing was, the cutlery on the table were dirty, the waitress gave us another set which also was dirty, my friend made a comment if the dishwasher was broken, the waitress replied we may need a new dishwasher, personally wouldnt take my family or friends there anymore, to top it all off, ordered a fresh mint tea, and didnt receive it, luckily wasnt on the bill or i was prepared to throw a tantrum, overall not satisfied with the whole service....sad really because the food wasnt too bad.

Went for the Pizza Express, because we had bowling later in a same building. Express was not really fast, due to busy time early might. Service was good, but you just cannot get pizzas out from the oven earlier than they are ready.

You mayhave to queue for a table, but its worth the wait. Very handy for before or after the cinema. You wont be disappointed.

Después de la cena de trabajo (antes de cine) con cupones. Pedimos entrantes, pizzas y pasta, vino, refrescos y una jarra de agua. Las órdenes fueron tomadas rápidamente una vez estábamos sentados. Las entradas llegaron rápidamente así como platos principales. Este restaurante normalmente está lleno y conseguir la factura tomó un poco de ondulación en personal.

Viaje familiar reciente a la Pizza Express después de una experiencia no demasiado en la ubicación de Manchester. Personal mucho más mejor y servicial, sin embargo servicio parecía apurado. Lástima que no pude escuchar su nombre como ella merece una mención, especialmente cuando el grupo de 20 turistas extraño venía y estaban siendo torpe del donde su comida era, mantuvo su fresca y tratamos con ellos de una manera profesional, un crédito a la sucursal.

Me encanta este restaurante, pero normalmente la última noche me decepcionó! Alrededor de 6 mesas (que estaban sentados y la mayoría estaban comiendo), dos miembros del personal de pie cerca de la cocina, pero todavía estábamos esperando para sentarse. Being in central M.K for the first time in decades with family at lunch time we spotted buffet lunch ,ticks a few boxes for the family ,service was quick ,could have a little more variety on the pizza and pasta menu but it was ok ,staff were friendly and place was clean ,if your stuck for ideas this will do .

He estado en unos cuantos ramas Pizza express, pero este es uno de los mejores. A pesar de ser la mitad de largo plazo, nos sentamos sin problemas. Waited for 5 minutes upon entering (only 2 people waiting) but staff more interested in talking to each other, blowing up some balloons - and generally milling about - than acknowledging us....so we left and went to Frankie and Bennies where we were greeted immediately and received fast and friendly service.....go there instead!

Fui a una despedida comida aquí en marzo y aunque sólo una cadena me pareció que el servicio era deficiente, había un grupo de 10 de nosotros sin embargo todo pedido pero las órdenes de mezclado.

Me encanta pizza Express es cabras gordas bajas pizza de queso es la mejor pizza bajo en grasa que he probado jamás. Y está a sólo 500 calorías. No te puedes equivocar chicos y chicas. Mi pareja y yo reservamos una mesa para una comida rápida después del cine, a la llegada en que entramos a la gerente (creo) y una camarera tener un acalorado debate sobre otro proyecto de ley de mesas. Esperamos algo en silencio durante unos minutos para acabar discutiendo, para finalmente ser atendidos y nos llevaron a una mesa. En la justicia, no tienen un grupo de niños en que era un gran parte de su tiempo, pero tal vez no se deben reservar demasiados en ya que habíamos reservado con antelación. Por desgracia, nuestra otro problema fue que nuestras pizzas salió muy seca y un poco frío. Como todo el mundo estaba tan ocupado que comimos la comida, pagamos y nos fuimos ya que no podía ser molestado a esperar a ser hablado con unos, que simplemente no volveremos. He de decir que, aunque tuvimos la suerte de tener una encantadora camarera que estuvo genial con todas las mesas alrededor y era realmente encantadora y hablador ... Nos dejó un consejo solo para ella así que muchas gracias!!
