Pizza Express in Stockport

Went for a family meal out and booked for half 4. Starters for us all arrived after about 15 minutes... No problems at all. Then began the wait. And wait we did... Until 40 minutes later when the waitress came over to apologise for the delay and state they "definitely haven't forgotten us", and it's just a busy night. It was busy by then, but it wasn't when we arrived. Other people arrived, ate and left before we got our main meals. Pretty sure they did forget us! Mains arrived an hour and 20 minutes after we got there... Kids food was fine (thank god!) but the 2 adult pizzas were cold and burnt. Talk about juxtaposition! After another 15 minutes of attempting to grab the attention of the very busy staff, we finally got to send them back, complain and ask for the bill. And, wow. The waitress, said how sorry she was, then dropped "you must be so hungry!"... clearly missing a career as a detective, Sherlock Holmes then went to express our dissatisfaction to a manager, but not before asking if we wanted to take our pizzas home in a box... The pizzas we'd waited and hour and 20 minutes for and which we were trying to REJECT for being cold! The manager of course, could not care less. No apology, no discount offered on the kids food or starters, in fact she couldn't even be bothered to come to our table. She took the adult pizzas off the bill and that was that. So, all in all, a disaster of a visit. Slow service, a waitress who should clearly be given a job at CSI Cheadle, stone cold burnt food and a manager who couldn't care less about the satisfaction of the customer. It's pizza express, we don't expect Michelin Star food, but food that is hot is the minimum you expect really. We won't be returning, and I'd advise that nobody else frequents this venue either.

Used to really like Pizza Express but got a Deliveroo from Cheadle branch and it wasnt cooked. I called them to say I wasn’t looking for a refund but to let the chef know that he was sending out uncooked food. The person who answered the phone seemed very unconcerned and I just got a ‘sorry about that’ Even after cooking it through it was tasteless and still doughy, put it in the bin. What a waste of £13!

Dreadful place, loud music, too hot. Unpleasant manager called Charlotte. Asked numerous times to turn music down, but just got dirty looks from Charlotte. Sniggering to her colleagues, very unprofessional. Needs to go, Pizza not enough topping, mushrooms cold, never again. Not recommend

The staff really went above and beyond during my visit with my daughter. We had had a terrible day and went to cheer ourselves up. The manager and all other staff were very friendly and attentive. The service was very efficient and the food was delicious! The vegan range was a real bonus with alot of choice. I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to the staff on 27th October, you made it a lovely end to an awful day. We will definitely be visiting the Cheadle branch again in the future.

Horrible service at Cheadle, lost order, burnt pizza, Managers claiming to offer 20% off but they never did, charged full price and hung up on me when rang to state how bad it had been, awful experience

We went on a Friday night. The dough balls were amazing as usual. My partner's lasagne was delicious he said but a small portion. For the price he would have expected more or some side salad at least. I had American hot pizza. There was hardly any cheese and there was a burnt piece of base in the middle of the pizza, which they tried to cover up with jalapeño. Had there have been more cheese then it probably wouldn't have burnt. We were disappointed considering that it cost us £60 for 2 people. We won't be returning to this branch of Pizza Express unfortunately.

Just this minute had our order delivered by Deliveroo. The pizza cost over 15quid. The label looked tampered with and on opening the pizza had hardly any cheese on it and all the tomatoes and chicken were to one end of the box with one measley leaf of basil and a soggy base, with extra chicken and also cold to the touch. Only the second pizza from here we have ordered. Not happy. Any sign of my food been tampered with it is going straight in the bin. Might as well have burnt the money in my fire. Not Happy at all.

Went as a group on a wet and windy day. Place was clean, service was okay, food was normal pizza Express. Wouldn't have left a tip if it was clearer that groups have a service charge added at 12.5%. Overall experience was reasonable, but prices are top end before the service charge was added.

Went Saturday evening. Extremely poor service. Ordered a bottle of wine £21.45. Presented with a dirty wine glass and warm wine. No water offered even though the table was set with glasses. Would recommendations retraining of staff on how to pour and serve wine not on another table should be done in front of customer at the table. Dirty wine glass wiped with a napkin and not replaced. Felt servers attitude was not intrested and really didn't want to be there. Shame really as good good. Will not be going back and won't recommend.

Took our 5 year old nephew for early tea- he loves making pizza at home...he was given a chefs hat and colouring book. It was quiet so chef let him make his own pizza at the table- he was so excited and loved building his pizza. The staff let him serve our pizzas (almost the same size as him!!!) and were super friendly. Food was delicious and service fab. We really felt that the team cared about our experience. Started getting busy as we left. Family friendly restaurant - not the cheapest pizza but by far the tastiest and a great atmosphere. Well done to the cheadle team for keeping the pizza express flag flying- I really hope the chain stays open.

Just visited with my 13yr old daughter after being unable to get in at 4 other local restaurants due to being fully booked.Alarm bells were ringing straight away as place was less than half full at 7.45 on a Saturday night.Was given a table by window with no cutlery set out,had to wait for menus,had to wait to be offered a drink....Had starters(average at best),waited for cutlery (pinched off next table),Mains came pretty sharp(calzone smallest I’ve ever seen !),waited for more cutlery (pinched off next table by waitress)......food average at best,and had to flag down a waiter who wasn’t serving us to order another drink each.Had to then wait an age for dessert menu,by which stage id made my mind up to get something from Sainsbury’s next door !! Bill was £63 for two of us,completely over priced !! ......Got general feeling the staff are waiting for the inevitable closure of this once decent company....

Best Pizza in Cheadle! Friend staff and nothing’s to much. A family member is Gluten Free and they accommodate this. One of the only restaurants in Cheadle who proactively promote this.

I have visited pizza express in different places but i always feel happier when i visit this one in cheadle. Although it is a mon afternoon and quiet the place was chilled and service was good . My order was taken and did not have to wait too long before my meal came the pollo pesto was lovely never had it before. Hot tasty and well worth it

I wouldn't normally go to a 'chain food' experience like this due to previous experiences but I fell in with my work colleagues and decided to make the best of it - or so I thought. I got the shock of my life.... Who nicked all the cheese off their pizzas? How did they manage to slice pepperoni so thinly? How do you serve a pizza Florentine without black olives? How on earth do you manage to charge £11 for a Lasagne that must have cost them less than £1 to produce? Who nicked all the minced beef out of that Lasagne? Right, that's off my chest. The house wine (chardonnay) was reasonable at £13 a bottle and the Pollo Pasta looked OK, if a bit pricey for what was on offer. Service was good, clearly better than the kitchen. The atmosphere was very good and their customers must have got used to eating what was on offer. I didn't expect fine dining, just the basics. To be so completely underwhelmed was totally unexpected but it seems to me that the franchise is going out of it's way to overcharge and under-deliver.

We have been going to Pizza Express for about 25 years. It has managed to make subtle changes but still maintain its core product. Always tasty and everyone leaves happy. We are within range for a few Pizza Expresses but Cheadle is a favourite, although not our closest. So the food is great, I loved the figs with coffee. Kids get decent food and are well catered for. Main problem is the cost of the beer. The wine is fine for cost. But a bottle of beer is way over priced. Overall, would recommend to families. A great restaurant chain that continues to hit the spot.

Went last Sunday for lunch we had some vouchers for Tesco and a taste card what I was really disappointed with that me and my dad had to sit on a different table to my mum I know it’s there rules but it’s completely utterly stupid the food bill was on one bill and the prices for drinks is over priced will be a while to I will return

8 adults, 6 kids and 2 babies that all needed feeding and entertaining. The kids were entertained by a demonstration of how to make the food and sat quietly colouring etc whilst the adults enjoyed the peace. The menu accounts for all and provided a wide range to suit the party

I took three of my grandchildren tonight. This is the first time we have been to this branch. Food arrived promptly nice warm atmosphere unlike some of the others. Good staff we will be visiting again soon.

Table booked for 5pm for my daughters 3rd birthday, some of my party arrived at 5:10pm ordered dough balls and garlic bread to share which came out about 5:30pm no problem there. Then we waited and waited for the mains which finally arrived at 6:20pm. We were offered free olives due to the wait that never arrived. Well done!! Offered free drinks as a form of apology which they charged us for until we raised when we got the bill, the manager removed those from the bill.

I usually really enjoy pizza express but this visit was distinctively average.

Had a great afternoon at pizza express celebrating my daughter's birthday, a total of 11of us altogether. Staff were great and atmosphere good too!. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Would definitely go back again.

I was reluctant to go to Pizza Express and only went as it was the most convenient place to meet a friend- I've found the food very bland in the past to the point of tastelessness. I was surprised - the pizza was gorgeous, one of the best I've had in a long time. Quick service and friendly. Well priced. Only thing- chairs were stacked blocking the disabled loo which is not satisfactory but on complaining the manager was very helpful.

All i can say is dan was brill the food was hot and tasty and atmoshere was good thank you pizza express i will be back

My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday, this was the first time I attend this restaurant, the food is very good, the service was excellent. Value for money yes indeed it was very much value for money.

Pizza express makes a good pizza ..but around the pizza is the service.

I appreciate its very hot outside at the moment but the air conditioning in this restaurant is on constant cold. Even in the winter we find ourselves rushing our meal to get outside to warm up.

Have not been here for a while since our last awful visit but came because our Granddaughter wanted to. I had the Quattro Carni Pizza and when it arrived there was only one meat on it, very thinly sliced salami and dried up. In fact the whole lot was dry and quite honestly tasteless. My Wife had what was termed Lasagne. Never seen one quite like it before, it just looked like bits of pasta thrown into the dish with the bolognaise on top. The edges were black and inedible. Far too hot to eat for a good ten minutes.Fortunately the calamari starter was good and the beer cold. I said last time never again but this time I mean it

Had an evening meal here as a family. The food was as you would expect from this chain of restaurants, the service was better than I have experienced from some possibly due to both managers we saw being very hands on. Whilst there were only about five groups eating noise levels were fairly high.

I had a prosecco cocktail, which actually rivals most Manchester bars let alone the competition in Cheadle, I definitely would have tried their entire cocktail menu had I started a bit ealrier. As it was, I went for the cocktail, and I had a prawn starter. Amazing. Both amazing. I had about 9 King prawns in this majorly flavoursome sauce, which made me be left wanting more starter and more prosecco cocktail. We didn't stay for long but the service, and the new menu makes me want to plan a very swift return. Can't wait to try more cocktails and more food. Worth every penny.

Stop by pizza express Cheadle in May for lunch on a Saturday. The service and food was great. I have a new found desire for antipasti and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for.

My friend particularly wanted to eat here which is the only reason we came in, if I’d been with anyone else I would have left.

Bit disappointed code didn't give any discount 2 starter 2 main and 1 bottle of wine £61.00. Not the best for the price, told waitress wine glass dirty I got my own off another table.

Pizza express have got the choices, service, and price right, and this branch lives up to expectations!!

Went again last night had a great time our Waitress Becky was a delightful, friendly interesting person and made us feel at home, all staff working well very good team. The food was excellent the Gluten Free options are available my partner enjoyed very much.

Well we know what Pizza Xpress is all about or at least we thought we did. Clean Restaurant, clean loos, pleasant staff, disabled access, (though they ought to install doors with push to open) and reasonably priced, reasonable homegenised food. We know that the fancier dishes are precooked and the pizza bases are premade but we are ready for this. However on our last visit my Daughter and I were very disappointed. The starters are very basic, I mean who eats (play) dough. The garlic bread is a joke.

Your classic commercial pizza place, I order the Padana every time I've been (goats cheese and caramalised onion pizza), can always rely on the same standard but nothing exciting. Prices are mid range but theres always a voucher somewhere you can dig out.

Visited this branch for the first time with family. I really liked the restaurant layout. Clean, modern, appealing. The staff were great, really friendly and professional. Why bother going anywhere else for pizza or similar when you can go here? Whats not to like ?

Big options quick serving time very good food pizza is amazing short time for wait but the price is not one to be proud of but i wont let that bring the rating down because it was worth it

I took my three grandchildren (10, 12 and 14) on Saturday at 6pm without a booking. It was busy but they moved tables to accommodate us. Our server, Rachel, was very pleasant, efficient and patient with the children and really helpful. Food was fine, kids...

Went with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. Both had pizza, absolutely gorgeous. We were looked after by a lovely waitress named Rachel too, excellent service.

Last minute booking and sadly wished we hadn’t bothered!

We were in the area so called in to use some vouchers. Restaurant fairly busy on a Tuesday evening. Friendly, efficient staff, good service, nice pizza. Recommended!

I telephoned Pizza Express whilst on holiday in Spain as I was aware my friends were going in there for his birthday. I explained to Nathan the Manager that I would like to have some drinks delivered to the table. He was so friendly and told me unfortunately he could not accept payment over the phone but would sort something out for me. He then presented them with the bill! (Please see picture). They had a lovely evening beautiful food and then had a lovely birthday surprise! THANK YOU Nathan for your help and very kind gesture. I will bob in to personally thank you on my return.

Been to this and other Pizza Express places on several occasions as the food always goes down well with the family. However, this branch seems to suffer the same problem as others we've been to, the food is great but the speed of service is not good. Long wait for starters and between other courses. The staff however were very pleasant which helped a bit, and the food was up to the usual standard, I particularly recommend the Veniziana pizza. The cod crocchettes for starter were a bit disappointing though, just slightly spicy fish cakes.The other thing which annoyed was the 'optional' 12.5% service charge which was automatically put on our bill (for any family or group of 7 or more). I would have left a smaller cash tip for the staff given a choice, but I expect this surcharge goes straight into the corporate profits and the staff see none of it sadly. Having been charged this extra, I wasn't going to leave a cash tip too, sorry staff.Would have been 4 or 5 stars for food, but the slow service and surcharges let it down.

Visited with my wife Sunday 13 August 2017.We waited a long time at the front just to be greeted. The lady then walked towards a table with 2 menus, so we followed. She then told us off(!) because she said we weren't sitting there and she was looking for another table for us. This was not clear at all.We got our menus and ordered drinks. We then waited an eternity after the drinks were served, for our food order to be taken. We asked a waitress and she went to get our waitress to take the order. Five minutes later, still no sign. We then went to another lady and our waitress came over to take the order.The starters were delicious and we enjoyed the main course, however my pizza was not hot.This is the third time we have visited this restaurant and probably the last.

I have been to pizza express a lot, and each time ordered the garlic butter Dough balls. But a good few months ago the garlic butter got changed and it is terrible. The rest of the food is amazing though

We go here on the occasions I fancy a pizza and my husband wants a great desert. I love pizza but he's not a massive pizza fan but likes the thin crispy pizzas they bake here and the gorgeous deserts are a bonus for him. It's a win-win for both of us.The staff are always friendly and the service is good. The restaurant is very clean and tidy with a good atmosphere.

Our family decided to have a birthday dinner here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Although the service was a little slow the quality of the food and drinks made up for it.The icing on the cake was that we got a 40% discount on the kids student cards ( I think this only applies Monday/Tuesday ). All in all it is our new go to Italian in the area.

We haven't been for a while and found that the place had been redecorated and there were new staff. There was also a new menu. The exotically sounding cod croquetes were just plain old fishcakes. My wife's prawn pasta dish was dissapointing with hardly a prawn in site. My grand Ceasar salad however, was great, as was the lemon bundt desert. The service however, was very slow. Maybe they are just getting used to the new menu?

Called in for a quick meal, Sunday afternoon 3 adults and 3 children. In my opinion the food is very expensive for what you get BUT my main gripe was the fact that there was a Birthday party of approximately 20 nine year olds. The noise and disruption was ridiculous and I wish we had left before our drinks arrived. I don't think that parties of this size should be held when the restaurant is open to other diners. I would suggest a limit on party numbers or a private room for celebrations if possible. At the very least we could have been warned and given the option to leave but the children were reasonably quiet before we were seated. I'll be very wary of visiting pizza express again in a hurry.

Pizza express delivered as expected - nothing to write home about but a good evening nonetheless. Was disappointed to find they didn't have all the ingredients for the new special pizza and weren't able to suggest a swap in ingredient for it. Good with a voucher, would have been disappointed at full price.

have avoided here as not my fave place but went with family as convenient, my food was actually very nice but my sisters pizza was awful they got my nephews order wrong even though i overheard my sister talking to my nephew and confirming with the waitress what he wanted. The size of the garlic bread was funny, would suit a child, my husbands pasta portion also looked like a childs portion, for the overall cost of our food and poor customer service i will never step foot in there again i will stick to buying their pizzas for a fraction of the cost at the supermarket!!!

As a regular visitor to Pizza Express with family, this has got to my worst experience to date.My £12+ tomato and mozzarella pizza arrived with virtually no cheese on top. Given that this was the main ingredient it was seriously lacking appeal. After sending it back, the returned pizza was not much better with some extra blobs of cheese on top and a cindered crust .. yum yum!In addition, I ordered pesto pasta for my son. I was initially asked if we would like bechamel sauce too, to which I replied just the pesto. When it arrived, bechamel sauce had been added. When I called the waitress back she insinuated that I did not request this. This was also sent back.The attitude of the staff and manager was incredibly disappointing. According to the manager, my pizza was a new recipe and because it was buffalo mozzarella you did not get as much!!! The pizza was deducted from the final bill but we left with a bad taste in our mouths ... I will definitely not be returning to this establishment!

Even though we have a Pizza Express 5 minutes walk from our house in Didsbury we prefer the 15 minute drive out to Cheadle to our favourite Pizza House. We have been going to this Pizza Express at least once a month for the last five years or more and have never been disappointed. the place is expertly run, the service is great and the food is the best of any high street chain.

Booked a table for a family event we turned up on time only to be told that there was no dough left and would be an hour wait this is a pizza restaurant (no dough)?!! But they never rang us to inform us of this which I think is very poor on their behalf.

Table booked for 18:30. Told that food wasn't available for an hour.They also serve unethically slaughtered halal chicken.Never again will I eat at a Pizza Express.

This pizza express is above average die to the location but the food is the standard Pizza Express fayre.If you review on their website they will give you a complimentary starter for your next visit. We also used the Tastecard which briught the price down considerably. Probs too expensive if no discounts were avalible.Drinks are overprices but the staff are lovely. we had a calzone and a buffalo mozzerala margarita, mozzarella garlic bread a large peroni and a bottle of Red.

Over priced for basic pizza. Went early on a Saturday evening, staff were very friendly, however felt food was average.

Called in here for lunch with my 5 year old son. We got there when they opened so had the whole place to ourselves. I had a voucher for Christmas so thought i best use it. Service was great. Pizza was lovely. Could put a bit more of toppings on the pizzas. But still very tasty. However if i didn't have the gift card i wouldn't be happy to pay the prices here. £1.50 for a carton of kids juice is daylight robbery and the food is extremely expensive. If you get a voucher online then i would recommend this place.

I love the thin pizza here.you can normally get a voucher on line meal deal . Remember if they offer you olives with your drink You Will be Charged.

I went here for dinner whilst staying nearby in Cheadle. I ordered a salad Nicoise and it was very good, except that I asked for ' No oil ' on my Tuna and I had to send it back. This was remedied though and my Dough sticks were lovely, the best I have ever had, hot and fresh and yummy. I had good service and my food was good.I also had the Raspberry sorbet they do which is lovely. Their manager was very friendly too. It was busy there so I recommend booking a table. You can do that via the phone or the Pizza Express website too. I would highly recommend eating here.

We went as a family of seven adults a three year old and a thirteen month old. we waited over an hour for food, try keeping a thirteen month old happy for an hour before the meal came and when it was served it was cool to say the least, this was three thirty in the afternoon not many people in I don't see why we spent so long waiting, we left without desserts. we will not go back again.

We have enjoyed eating there for years, never let us down except for Friday night 09.12.16 I was served COOL food on a cold plate, it was a losing battle to eat it quick enough for it to remain warm enough to enjoy. I complained to the server who called the Lady manager Then the fun started, she stated "we do not have a plate warmer" ok what can you do? "I can reheat it for you" I would rather have a fresh one please "the pan has been washed out" !!! she took it away and returned with a warmer plate but still with COOL food. To cut a long story short, I didn't eat it and wasn't charged for it = 1 each, a draw I think. It will be a while before we risk another go !

I like they serve a thin pizza, and you can use vouchers they offer for deals, if they offer you olives or anything while you decide -YOU WILL BE CHARGED - and the olives are not cheap, I don't like them so they just bring you enough for two , my only criticism. The service is brisk but then its a busy place.

We recently visited Pizza Express as a family of 5. I have to say as always the food was beautiful and I have no complaints there, however on this occasion I realised once arriving home that we had infact been overcharged. I called the store and left a message for a return call. I received a call today and it has been agreed that I will receive a refund for the prepayment. I also received an email with 2 complimentary main meals as a goodwill gesture.I have to say I am extremely happy with the outcome from pizza express.Well done I will be back and would have no hesitation in recommending pizza express

I have visited PizzaExpress with my friend and her baby daughter. Straight away the manager brought out children's activity pack - which I think it's great and very entertaining for 3 years old. As usual we've ordered our favourites: bruschetta con funghi, Padana pizza, dough balls and children's meal. Yet again was absolutely delicious. I love the fact that all team is very helpful and recognised us when we arrived. PE Cheadle is for sure my favourite and we will definitely come back.

A terrible pizza, delivered very slowly because of thd lack of staff and to add insult to injury the whit wine was bordering on warm when it was served.The restaurant was also very noisy which did not enhance is appeal.Having tried it it wil not justify a second visit.

Visited this Pizza Express when me and my wife where staying at Manchester Airport. The food was as good as many other ones we had been to, the staff where attentive and very nice and served you with a smile. Service was quick and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. A very nice meal would go back if I was in the area

On arrival on 3rd October 2016, this place looked tired, dirty with no effort made to make it look presentable. It had obviously had a busy period, but there was not enough staff. Tables had to be prepared before we could take a seat, other tables were cluttered with used dishes.Eventually sat down, and had to wait some time to order the drinks and even longer to order food. The drinks arrived, but for me the glasses for some of the drinks were not suitable for the appropriate drinks. When we ordered, it took so long for the food to arrive.Served poorly, my second drink was so warm I had to ask for ice, but very limited for choice of beers, and all bottled and well overpriced. 4 ADULTS, 2 CHILDREN, SO £116 WAS VERY POOR VALUE, AT ANOTHER, AND BETTER ITALIAN RESTAURANT ON 9TH OCTOBER, SAME PEOPLE, EXCELLENT SERVICE, BETTER CHOICE £40, LESS!!! I WILL NEVER VISIT A PIZZA EXPRESS AGAIN, EVEN IF IT WAS FREE, IT WAS SO BAD, AND WOULD HAVE MINUS STARS IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE.

Booked a table for my family of four for my Daughters birthday as this is where she requested to eat. Service was excellent staff were very welcoming, starters and mains were perfect. I went for one of the Autumn specials the Basilicata Pizza which I highly recommend especially if you like rocket. All in all a very enjoyable evening Thank You.

The refurb had been finished and looked pretty good, the restaurant is still too small for a pizza express. The food is always good but the service in this restaurant is slow even when not that busy. The day we went the server said they have no pasta at all, which my kids weren't happy about as they love the stuff!

We visited here after appointment at the Alex up the road. There is a car park behind thet is free from 6 pm which is handy. I called ahead of the booking to see if we could use my Tasecard which was not an issue. The restauraunt was getting full at 6 pm Friday and was full by the time we left. We had 2 Glasses of wine, 175ml and 2 Classic pizzas. thhe totel bill was £20 which included the 50 % off food with the Tastecard discount so it was excellent value on the food but I found a medium rose wine at nearly £6 a bit steep.Ther staff are lovely, friendly and attentive, the portions are big and you know they have been cooked to order. Unfortunatly food was average on the actual flavour fromt, would have something more spicy next time to prop up the flavours!

We love Pizza Express because the staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is consistently good and the Cheadle branch is no exception. I called ahead to book for a Sat lunchtime but didn't need to as its a good size restaurant so plenty of space. It's a good restaurant for families or large parties as there's plenty of room. My daughter was given an activity pack which she enjoys and she ordered bolognese and dough balls. She had a summer drink which was fruit juice and lemonade which was a treat at £3 but she said well worth it and it was delicious. I had the calamari and la reine pizza which was great. A nice restaurant, nice food and nice atmosphere. There's a large public car park behind Pizza Express which is signed and it's really cheap at 30p for two hours.

I booked a table for 7 of us, a good job because for a Thursday at 6.30pm it was busy, we were served by a pleasant waiter and the food was lovely even though it took a while to get it, but it was busy, there appeared to be only 3 members of staff serving tables, which was clearly not enough! Having said that they did their best to see to everyone. All in all it was a pleasant evening and the food was good, they have air con but it was not on/working because it was boiling in the place.....

Good food as always, and a good level of service from the team, new manager lady appears to have a good way with the customers, especially nice with the children. Would visit again....

Visited for my sons 6th birthday.Jack's kids meal was excellent.Our pizzas were disappointing. Both had a tiny amount of cheese and none at all on the outer 3 inches.We were late in arriving due to roadworks so just wanted to get home rather than make a fuss.

My husband and I enjoyed our meal here, the restaurant was busy we were greeted by George who explained the table was just to be cleaned.He was cheerful, friendly and professional and seemed to be doing the job of a few people.Food tasty and hot .Only criticism food on the floor in some places.

Treating ourselves to lunch out on a day off. I went for the pizza which was huge but had a lovely crispy thin base so actually wasn't too much. Not bad at all.

I came here to have dinner as I was staying nearby.I ordered a Tuna Nicoise Salad. I always have this as I watch my weight. However, on this occasion my Dough Bread was really lovely, very fresh, soft and if tasted the best I have ever had. My waiter ' Luca ' was very good and attentive. My food, and service was excellent. I would highly recommend this Pizza Express to anyone.

Overall service was quite good as was the food. The only disappointment was the cost, found it excessive and was certainly more expensive than pizza hut. Children's menu limited and costly. Won't be visiting again.

Pizza express are always delicious however this particular branch always has tables available and is very moody so has a great atmosphere. The food is wonderful although fairly expensive. The service wasn't the quickest but it wasn't atrocious. They also offer gluten free meals which is a fabulous addition for the ever growing coeliacs community. I would recommend this branch for a special meal.

Always a fine dining experience at this Pizza Express. Very nice ambiance. Excellent service - the lady waitress is especially commendable. We always enjoy the food here - be it the starters, main pizzas or the desserts. The kids' menu is equally wholesome. Prices are quite reasonable. Only downside is they can be abit slow at busy times-not an issue with us though! Will definitely visit again.

What i like about this Pizza Express is the overall service and friendliness of the staff. Also they cater brilliantly for my gluten free diet . From dough balls to many different pizza's. The food is great.

The pizzas here are okay. For what you get they are very overpriced and i usually find the pizzas to be too oily. Its seems to be a crooss between western pizzas and traditional italian which is odd. Because of this there are some more unusual options like egg topped pizzas, and a lack of certain toppings, including my favoutites of pineapple and sweetcorn. I would not go again.

This is always a popular spot on Cheadle. I completely understand why - it's good food and a friendly upbeat feel. We'll be back...

Enjoyed a lovely meal in pizza express on bank holiday Monday. We thought it was going to be a bit of a nightmare but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the food was lovely too. Well done to the waiters and waitresses as it was busy but well under control.

again with my daughter place was bustling bit to full for me but we went Monday because my daughter got 40% student discount so that is why it was so fullthe food is without doubt some of the best Italian i have tried , and i have tried a lot the staff where great even though it was so full

The food is standard fare with the upside being that there's a reasonable amount for vegetarians to choose from. I know there are some that love the place but in my experience the music is too loud (you have to shout to have a conversation), there's usually a long wait, the portions are meagre and toppings are stingy. Frankly in most cases you would get a much better meal from a supermarket pizza. The staff however are lovely and attentive.

We have visited this restaurant numerous times and it rarely disappoints. Typical pizza express really with really good pizza served reasonably quickly. Staff are always friendly but if it's busy you can sometimes struggle to get their attention.Pizza express isn't that cheap but using vouchers from Tesco club card points is a good way to bring the price down. Overall would recommend illustrated perfectly by the fact that we keep returning again and again.

Ordered a take away from here online which they then emailed me to say was cancelled, tried again and the same thing happened, called the restaurant and they just told me to try again, which i did and the same thing happened so i called back and asked if i could just place the order over the phone (don't know why they didn't offer that in the first place) which i did, i then went to collect the order and when i got it home i realised they had forgotten 2 items from my order, i then had to go back to pick these up and decided i didn't need one of the drinks they had forgotten so asked for a refund, they were extremely rude and told me i couldn't have the cash refund that i had paid them not 20 minutes before and had to apply to head office for it!!! Absolutely ridiculous procedure and will never be eating here again!!

On many an occasion as a couple we have ordered and collected a take away. But leaving me very disappointed and frustrated recently over the inconsistency in the quality of the pizza. Often the preferences we state have been over looked and even on a couple of occasions had the wrong pizza. Its an expensive pizza and really a take away customer should be given the same service as a customer eating in.

Been to this restaurant a few times and cant fault it. Really nice food if you love a nice pizza. The only thing I would say is they don't have my favourite ham and pineapple pizza but there is plenty of other choices. The place is clean and always busy.

Me and my grandma went ofr a nice dinner out because my grandma has been ill. So I reserved a table and what we did was we walked in and we went to our table. There is one waiter who is funny, quick and alaways happy. His name is Marzio. Then our food came in 15 mins. I was astonished and personally it has changed since I went there. Highly Recommened. Benji Approved!

I used to go here quite regularly as I enjoyed the occasional Pizza.I Have been visiting there for about 15 years on and off. However the last time I went I found that they had changed Management and the Cooks. The taste was not up to the past standard even though the service was not too bad.Unfortunately I saw a Pizza dough fall to the floor and I could not see what happened to it, probably it was mine but I could not make a fuss about it. So I don't go there anymore. Anyway I have found another place which serves up delicious Pizzas so if I fancy one I will go there.

We arrived at 12.55 as our table was booked for 1pm. A very friendly waitress attended to us but unfortunately she never came back (until clearing the table) and we waited approx. 40 mins until we managed to grab another member of staff to take our order. Only one item of our starters arrived and the pizzas, which were OK, arrived not too long after. As we waited yet again to be asked if we would like anything else, we decided that we would not be having dessert as it was by that time nearly 2 hours since arriving at our table. A very disappointing visit and sadly has put me of returning.

Arrived at 12.20pm to restaurant about 1/3 full and were still waiting for main course to arrive an hour later and restaurant now 75% full. Excellent food - no problems there at all. Far too few staff though and no apologies or acknowledgement of slow service. Left just after 2pm and avoided pudding as car park ticket would have run out. Overall experience average at best due to speed of service and staff.
