Very friendly staff, food is always good

It is not about a customer! I came for collection, asked for double cheese on Padana pizza instead of red onion, having in mind goat cheese as its main ingredient of it, only at home discovered they put a lot of mozzarella instead do I couldn’t taste goat cheese at all! Called to ask for pizza to be redone - shift manager Prisca refused to accept my explanation, no empathy just flat No. I don’t often treat myself to their pizza, if expensive: for 2 I paid £35, was looking forward to have it with my daughter unfortunately we didn’t. Never again!

Near the shopping centre, nice food

The service was really bad as the main server was really understaffed and was basically doing most of the work so can tell it’s a managerial issue, the food was OK, but too much disgusting garlic. Kind of shocked that the food is more overpriced than an Italian retsauruant in central London. Pizza mushroom was really thin and not very tasty. General manager not around, probably at home not working. Worth writing to his boss

Clean, lovely food, friendly staff. Plenty of parking in the nearby multi storey car park or outside car parks.

The delivery driver just yelled at me because he has 2 more deliveries to do. He did not call me to let me know he was here. He is insane and unsafe.

Food was burnt and cold. Estimated time when I placed order changed straight away after payment taken to much longer.

Had a lovely meal here on a Saturday afternoon. It was so quiet but that meant very quick service and our server was so friendly and efficient. Food delicious and hot- did 3 course offer for members, that's my daughter. Higjly recommend. Parking and shops nearby.

Really enjoyed our visit to Pizza Express. It has been a good few years since visiting one of their chain of restaurants but will be back...the pizza was rather good. After a day of plastic smiles at one of the nearby theme parks (clue - multi-coloured blocks) it was quite refreshing to be served by someone with skill. Gordana made the visit totally worthwhile. That sort of service kind of reminded me of what it used to be like in restaurants where the staff worked hard to amplify the food. Kids were well catered for also. Good work.

So long as they have the hot honey doughballs in the chili drizzle, this place is worth a visit! Good selection of pizza, some pasta and salads. You can sit outside if you like. Fairly small place, kid friendly, friendly staff. One of the few chains in the town centre and one of the few eateries that have survived at the end of the town centre. We usually always enjoy it, a bit pricey for what it is but apparently if you have the app you can get treats like a reward system.

Waited 5 minutes to even ask for a table, pathetic service. Went somewhere else. Understaffed and hopeless.

Had a lovely late lunch at Hemel Pizza Express. Very quiet so service very quick. Our server was so lovely 😍 Food delicious: my daughter is a member so we treated ourselves to 3 courses £23.95.

Smaller than usual Pizza Express but with the same great service. We tried the thin pizza base and loved it.

Went to collect delivery today, staff just didn’t want to notice us or deal with us, 2 other drivers there waiting with no avail. They should prioritise as we deliver food for customers, waste of time and fuel sometimes as you have to drive round park up walk to restaurant then wait for ages

Modern restaurant in the Riverside development in Hemel Hempstead, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Great service from all the staff, in particular Florence, who was friendly and attentive.

Krystjana was incredible, 10/10 service, an absolute credit to Pizza Express. Gordana amazing, so kind. Chef - best Pizza I've ever had. Overall - big recommendation.

Delivery driver was very rude and shouted at me as I didn’t hear the door.

Just attended a team building pizza making party, 33 of us, very impressed with the set up & service we started with a prosecco & in teams of 2 we learned how to toss the bases from a ball of dough to a base that filled a plate. Then we got to work on our own bases & then added our toppings & cheese, despite wearing a hat & apron still got covered in flour, the team cleared up while we washed our hands & then we were served our own pizzas. Such fun & highly recommend for team building or just a fun night out with friends.

Poor service food ok. Quiet restaurants, was reading menu to my visually impaired colleague out loud, was interrupted three times within minutes of arriving whilst speaking asking what we wanted to drink and order when I was clearly reading the menu out loud. Do staff realise that when you put the menu down and have stopped reading that is when you’re ready to order, obviously not. Just give people 5-10 minutes to read menu. Saw the advert for 2-1 dough balls spoke to female staff about this, she said we could do this, showed her the apps we had just downloaded. Food arrived, pizza nice, pasta bake boring & tasteless. £3.55 each for a small glass bottle of Diet Coke. Very tired after a long day at work, had to wait ages to pay bill. Paid bill not until on fifth floor of premier inn that I noticed we had been charged twice for dough balls, visited restaurant next day, spoke to same server who sent a young man over who said there was nothing he could do and that dough balls have to be claimed on the day via app-explained we had asked server and shown her app- not interested apologised and said nothing he could do. Wont be visiting this restaurant again and don’t recommend it for average food, high prices and poor service.

I'm a delivery driver and i can say that they have terrible staff and always waiting ages to collect the customer order. Also some member of the staff are rude under pressure....

We went with our son and daughter-in-law plus their two young children. Service was good as was the food - primarily pizza. There was a decent children's menu on offer and the staff provided high chairs and colouring books.

The Aldi is very good for a shopping at this store . Very friendly people and the staff too Always will help for any body, older or yangers people. The store always have a fresh product from a many different company's with a vary good standart from a different Country to. You can find almost everything what you need for good breakfast, lunch, dinner. Albo you can fund the alcohol to from a different brands from the beer's, wains, spirytus. I will recommend this stor for a relaxing shopping. You can iven take yours children's to enjoy yours shooting times. Also I like to ad mineral waters you can get 12 bottles of still woter for a just £1.25. Have a nice shopping in the future.

What in the rubbish. UPDATE: Natalia, the manager has reached out and so graciously resolved this issue. Customer care would always trump even the best products so thank you. Your follow up has been more than enough compensation for the product. Warm regards.

Just had a wonderful meal. We were served by Gordana and she was so friendly and smiley. Tasty food and great service.

We had a brilliant Mother’s Day at pizza express. Mia (I think the manager) went completely out of her way to accomodate us and acted extremely professionally and kind under pressure: there was an online booking problem that day causing a lot of stress for staff and customers. Please pay your employees more. Mia and team did an amazing job.

Stone cold pizza and less than half a pot of “dip”

Delivery was 30 minutes later then original delivery time and ordered 2 Childrens meals and neither of them come with the dough balls. Poor service and won’t be ordering again

Normally ok but went in 4 delivery drivers waiting staff not dealing with it was not even busy inside think new staff not really caring very long wait

Food ice cold, clearly not been kept in a thermal bag for delivery. Driver was sat 100m from house for about 10 minutes before he delivered which also wouldn’t have helped. Refund request submitted.

I came with some friends for dinner. Had a lovely time and our waitress Gordana was lovely and gave wonderful service. Will come back in the future.

Receipt said collection at 19.27, delivered at 20.10. Pizzas were overcooked and cold. What a surprise. I love pizza express but this was the worst meal I've had from them.

Great from start to finish. Booked in advance, Thursday evening 7pm, not too busy, table for 4 but only 2 of us so plenty of space, noise levels acceptable. Order taken promptly and served with charm and enthusiasm. Olive and sun-dried tomatoes, then salad niçoise, tiramisu and caffè reale, plus two glasses of red, carafe of water, and one more coffee. Really tasty and served with a smile. Will certainly be back when staying at Premier Inn upstairs.

Pizza was absolutely awful ,Cold ,tasted like cardboard ,my Mrs said the dough balls were good .wouldn’t ever ever order from here again

I specifically asked for no mushroom and onions as I am intolerant. The top of pasta is burned to the point the pasta is actually crispy. Not happy at all with this.

Excellent pizza with plenty of topping!

Came in for a quick lunch Saturday afternoon and could tell the two FOH staff were very busy, yet the lovely Gordona gave us wonderful, attentive service and made us feel very welcome. Definitely need more staff on shift though; as a former waitress myself it’s a shame to see such big restaurant chains trying to save money by putting more work and stress on their committed staff. Thank you Gordona!

Ordered Margherita but removed a ham pizza rang number and left messaged had no one call me back

was delivered cold was horrible food Halloumi chips were terrible looked like tiny nuggets , the dips were non existent hardly anything to dip with and took over 1 hour 30mins to arrive!

The delivery guy went to a wrong address but he had finally found us, he was very nice. I cannot understand, how it is possible that they use a smaller delivery food box than a Romana pizza, this does not make any sense. Due to the size of his box, he had to place our pizza slanted so all toping landed on one side of the pizza box and the food was totally cold. This was not his fault, his food delivery box was much smaller than the pizza box. Not the best experience, the food was very good as usual but ice cold.

The initial courier called to tell he will cancel the order as the restaurant is too busy snd it will take too long . I ordered from somewhere else and in the meantime someone else came with my order. I want a refund as I cannot rely on Just eat service!

Totally Empty Restaurant 2 Staff Sitting Down 1 Overcooked Pizza Due To Waitress On Her Phone £32 For What?

Gave me the wrong bill so I overpaid also took my friends cash without ringing it through. Then had the manager and waitress standing over me being aggressive because of their mistake! Was a regular but will never go back.

We were the only 2 people in after 5pm and when we left there were 4 other people there. The staff were more interested in chatting than checking whether the customers needed anything. When I said to the man who was serving that customer service was appalling , his excuse was that they all came from different restaurants and had not worked together. That does not excuse talking with his back to the tables blocking the view of the other staff member he was chatting to so that neither of them were interested in seeing whether the customers needed anything.- and remember there were not that many customers in there. We waited quite some time after the plates were taken before being given the desserts menu again as staff were chatting I waved several times before being noticed to get the bill. I will not be going back any time soon. Is poor service the norm these days?

I arrived just as they were closing. Was offered takeaway option and advised on crust. Very nice, accommodating service.

I never write reviews but felt on this occasion I needed to! We arrived this evening for pre booked table for two and were greeted after a few moments wait by Cal as he was dealing with a delivery order. He politely informed us while showing us to our table that he was on his own dealing with the floor and deliveries as they had short staffing issues so to be aware we may have to wait for his attention throughout our visit. He came back within a few moments to take drinks orders and we happened to be ready to order our food then too so therefore experienced no waiting time! Within a very short time the restaurant filled up to I would say 70% capacity and he dealt with everyone effeciently and politely, while also seeing to the various deliveryman that came in for orders. I then noticed he had some help and later on learned someone had been called in to help out, which I am sure was a relief to him. When we came to order dessert my friend ordered the lemoncello roulade and I wanted an expresso martini. Unfortunately there was no ice in the bar so Cal didn't recommend having one . When I asked if he could make an affogatto instead he promptly said he could make me one although it wasn't on the menu! To me this was above and beyond anything I expected and my affogatto with a shot of Tia Maria was much better than my previously desired expresso martini and think you should add it to the menu! We visited yesterday in a group of 5 with ages ranging from 18-90 years old! We were met by a really lovely young lady, Florence, who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Our orders were taken by another friendly lady, and then our food was delivered promptly and efficiently. We had 3 different thin and crispy pizzas, and two pizzas with the middles cut out with salad (sorry can’t remember the name!) and all 5 were hot, and delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly - we were early evening so was quiet when we arrived, but got busier as we ate. Absolutely can not fault the food, atmosphere and service - with special thanks to Florence, who made sure we were all ok for the duration of our meal. Definitely be back soon!

(Sorry for the delay!) I visited at the end of June with a large group and the staff were fantastic throughout. They had everything ready for us and the food was served promptly - the group loved it! Can't thank the team enough - Florence, Marissa, Prisca, Leya and Gordana - and wouldn't hesitate to come back in future. Thanks again!

Within a couple of minutes of all nine of us descending on this restaurant unannounced, they altered tables and seating to accommodate all. We were served by a professional, warm, patient, and exceptionally efficient lady, who ensured all needs were catered for. Nothing was too much bother, including switching off the air-con as some of us were cold, (twice as it switched on again). We were all super impressed by her service. Everyone loved their food, which somehow they delivered hot, on time, and together - and the orders were varied! Four stars for the garlic prawns pizza, which were literally like rubber, without so much of a nod to garlic - did they forget that I wonder? Regardless, based on such fabulous service, and willingness to accommodate a large group with zero notice, and the fact all other courses were consumed with gusto, we will absolutely be back! Such a lovely spot by the canal. I went yesterday and the staff were so sweet, I felt I had to write a review. There were two girls on shift and both of them were very good at their jobs. The timings were perfect in terms of ordering, drinks and food arriving and promptly clearing away and just created such a lovely, calm atmosphere. My friend and I have both worked in hospitality ourselves and we know that when you get truly great service, it should always be passed on. I really hope the two girls see this as they were truly lovely!

We booked Pizza Express for my Son's 9th birthday and we had a large table of 8 children and 6 adults. Gorndana and the team of waitresses were so friendly and attentive and provided everything that we needed to make it a very special occasion. The food was all delicious and all arrived very promptly. I couldnt fault anything. Thank you so much.

We went to pizza express in Hemel, for my daughters 5th birthday. Florence our waitress was wonderful from start to finish, taking an interest in my daughters birthday and serving us with the right blend of interested but not intrusive. The food was really lovely, lots of fresh ingredients. The restaurant is really warm and comfortable a we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Florence surprised Elsie with an upgrade to her dessert, Happy Birthday written in caramel, yum!! We enjoyed the food and the ambience and the service was fab! We will be going back again.

Ordered collection.. 1st thing they lost my order and I had to come back 1/2h after my collection time. 2nd thing they burnt my pizza 3rd thing they didn't give me the dips I ordered.. didn't find our till I got home.. 4 thing they refused to give me a VAT receipt.. which is illegal..

Good food, and served by a lovely waitress (Florence) who was attentive and checked with our table often, she asked about allergies which is important as we have a few within the group.

Carbonara was good but needed chips... Polenta fries aren't that great.
