Papa John's in Dacorum

Whenever I have issues with this branch it has always been through the app. Whenever I had called up they have been more than helpful this time being the same, I love papa John because of the special garlic dip and I wasn't able to order it on the app so I added to the delivery notes that I would like some if they had it in stock, I would pay for the added fee of the disp, and they delivered. Really shows the great costumer service, glad they are my local service.

Food came quick & was hot. Pizza seems to have decent amount of toppings & tastes good

I ordered the Meal for one yesterevening, it was not only 15 mins late but also the coldest food ever. The potato tots were not even fried properly. The cheese on Pizza and Potato tots was very hard

Great branch, easy to order via the app, notification is great on the app when the pizza is in the oven or ready to collect.. simple to order and the pizza is very yummy... The only downside and it isn't the shop fault... More to do with the council and turning every bit of parking in to blue parking... They really need to make them like 5-10 min parking for pick up ..

Tasty pizza and sides but comparably expensive and difficult to order online/over the phone. A nice treat for lunch in or on the way out of town.

Probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Ordered a mushroom and ham and it virtually came without any toppings and that’s even cheese. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and will be fighting to get my money back as I feel robbed. PLEASE DONT ORDER HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY

Incredibly disappointing experience, I ordered a pizza delivery through their website, paid and got a confirmation email, however after a while I started trying to track my order, after an hour it was still stuck on “getting ready to make your order”, then after 1hour 30 I phoned and nobody picked up, several attempts later someone finally picked up and just told me they can’t do it without explaining why, and I would get a cancellation email and refund after 2 hours of ordering. This happened 24 hours ago now and still not received any email regarding cancellation or confirming I would get a refund. Very unprofessional and a waste of money.

I wish I read the other comments on here. Avoid at all cost. Order took nearly 2 hours and the store at one point didn’t pick up our calls.

No delivery-no offers It was one of our favourites, until now. No delivery from the store, only with just eat. That means you're not allow to have your offers and collect points anymore.

Only one star as I have to. called first as food reported as deliverd when it had not even been deliverd and would still be another 5 minutes. to finally receive the food for it to be cold! and the garlic pizza bread like a cardboard Frisbee looked as If it had been cooked twice. I called the store to be told I was lying and spoken to in not a very nice manner I said they could come back and try a slice and he was basically still telling me I'm a liar. rude unprofessional man! with bad customer service.

This was my first Paps John's and I have expected more from what I've heard. I'd say very average Pizza, I would definitely prefer authentic Italian Pizza. The price was average too.

Always late no matter what time or day you order. You call up for an update as the 'tracker' will claim its been delivered and you still get lied to about where your food is. Order from a different area!!

I ordered a few times... Garlic sauce awful, chicken never cooked well enough sauce just thrown on.. Always having to put it into the oven. Going back to Dominos. Sorry guys.. My household not happy

Phoning up is pointless, staff find it hard to understand you. Pizzas are hit and miss; zero consistency. Always late delivery - staff always blame the app!!!

Five chances and failed every time. Wrong base or based stuck to box so inedible, wrong toppings, dried out disgusting pizza (see pic) They clearly have issues with any dietary requirements. Utterly disgusting. Wouldn’t be surprised if they spit on it. Will never use again. They had enough chances. Only decent part is the delivery.

We ordered a pizza delivery. In one of the pizza's there was a long black hair. When we called to tell them they were extremely defensive saying no way was it one of their hairs. Well it wasn't ours so how can hair get onto a pizza before we opened the box if it wasn't from them. Clearly getting nowhere and frustrated at the clear lack of customer service/ownership (at one point the guy laughed) we asked to speak to someone else. He said he would get someone to call us and the 'area manager' called who just said if there is complaint we need to email.......eh!!???? He gave us the email address, weeks later we have not received any acknowledgement...nothing!!!! I like Papa Johns Johns however after this, we will never buy from the Hemel one again! They don't give a stuff or respect the customer, they just want your money!!

Fresh and tasty, a bit dry though

I had ordered BBQ Chicken pizza from this outlet on Tuesday, 7th July 2020. After some time I wasn’t feeling well and eventually I threw up. And later on my stomach was upset. It was a bad experience. And I hope you will take my complaint seriously and look into this matter immediately.

Ordered pizza during lockdown trusting the contact free delivery, to my surprise they delivered a side order for which the quality seal was tampered, upon calling the outlet the manager Micky didn't bother to address the concern, never ordering Papa John's again. Can I give less than 1 star????

I don't normally eat pizza but Papa John's Pizza is the only pizza I can eat. always fresh and always get what you expect. Generous size and they are always prepared to please the customer and make it to your liking.

Best vegan pizza ive ever had would recommend to anyone else.

Ordered three x size last Friday. Rarely order Pizza but it was convenient. One Chicken BBQ. One Meat feast. One Greek (veggie) Delivery on time as promised. All tasted the same. Hardly any meat on meat feast. Miniscule cubes of chicken on the Chick BBQ. No chilli pepper on the Greek. In fact very poor, very salty, soggy and dull. Never again.

A driver came last night and was nice and friendly tall guy with glasses. He did not have change. He said he would go to shop and change it for me 5 minutes later he came back lovely guy. Wish I gave him a tip now.

I ordered a pizza 2 months ago which had a hair on. I called them to complain and they said i can have a refund or a new pizza. I chose refund. 2 months later and still no refund. I called on multiple occasions and every time they said “its processing” with “head office” and “will be with you within 2-3 days”. This was made up and a lie as they’re now saying that it was never recorded on the system and refusing to refund me? Such bad customer service, won’t be visiting again due to the lack of communication and lies.

Pizza just came burnt out. £20.19 to the bin. And the phone handler, after our complaint did not give any option of refund or even another pizza. I would give 0 stars for the service today.

Pizza ordered at work. It was warm. However some of the toppings had seeped through so it was a watery base.

DO NOT CHOOSE PAYPAL AS A METHOD OF PAYMENT. My 2 pizza 'deal' has presently cost me £103.96 as the Paypal transaction was 'declined' 3 times, but then the money came out anyway. Local store unable to help and Customer services not open out of hours.

Ordered via app a £19.99 deal which at final closed @£22.25. Repeated all the steps, same result. My conclusion is that I paid 22.25 but I had eaten only for 19.99. I'm still hungry and angry.

Now do vegan cheese. Ordered 2 pizza's with vegan cheese and to be fair they did tell me they messed up and put normal cheese on and i would have to wait 4-5 minutes for them to re-make my pizza. About 5 mins later my pizza turned up with an extra to say sorry for the mistake. Thanks guys

I love Papa John's pizza normally but my experience at the Hemel Branch was very poor. I may give them a second chance in the future but not for a long time. Hopefully just an unlucky occasion but the base was like cardboard, the toppings were minimal and relatively tasteless.

I have ordered from Papa Johns before and the pizza has been fine. I like their choice of vegetarian pizzas. This time I ordered cheesy wedges and when I bit into them they were hard inside, when I called I was told that the oven decides how long they are cooked for and that it wasn’t their fault. They could put them through twice for me if I wanted. So I said Ok, they said that they would bring me some news ones and collect the old. I waited and waited and 3 hours later they still hadn’t arrived. When I called they said that they didn’t know what happened and would refund me the next day. I called they next day and they knew nothing about it but said that they had to arrange a cash refund as it was no longer the same day as purchase. Again no call back no refund. I left it for a day and called the following day, yet again I spoke to someone else who didn’t know anything about it but promised me a refund, I called one more time and finally got my £4 back. Considering I had to call 4 times that probably just covers the phone calls. I won’t be going back as they seemed unapologetic for the fact that my meal was incomplete and uncooked! And in my opinion they should have gone beyond just a refund if they valued my custom

Terrible terrible place. Over an hour for the first, order wrong, refused refund and almost an hour to replace. As if anyone wants to eat pizza that time of night. Emailed and tweeted to get my refund so will see if customer service any better than the actual store. Will report back!

1 hour 10 minutes for cold food to be delivered, with part of the order missing. Another hour and still no sign of missing part of the order. Over the phone they have offered to send out the missing bit (wow, that's generous of them!) OR a discount on the next order. What about send out what I ordered AND give a discount on the next order for the inconvenience of waiting 2 and a half hours (and counting), or don't you want to keep customers?

As I'm half Italian .. I can't say the Pizza's are anywhere near the proper ones .. But service was polite and efficient

Have been waiting an hour and 20 minutes for delivery. When calling 40 minutes in we were told it would be with us in 5 minutes. We then called again 20 minutes later and were told the driver was stuck in traffic. Now I know traffic can get bad around Hemel but over an hour to get from town to Woodall Farm? Edit: pizza arrived after 1 and a half hours and was cold.

Decided to collect as I was staying very close by. This branch is set in a row next to an independent pizza shop, plus a Domino's, all of which looked far more inviting. Decided on PJ's, as usually I really enjoy their pizza. Very small, unseated waiting area, made even more uncomfortable with the store being freezing cold, as the door wouldn't shut properly. Took a while to be acknowledged on entering, but service eventually was friendly enough. Ordered, paid, then realised that I had been overcharged from the advertised menu prices, which was refunded when reported. The pizza itself was lukewarm at best, would shudder to think about the temperature of the delivered orders. Think I'll give this one a swerve when next in the area.

On a Friday night it arrived just on time, friendly driver, and food satisfied all my needs. No problems.

Ordered from this store and my order was missing the dip i'd ordered and had full fat pepsi rather than pepsi max. I called up and they assured me some would be sent to me. 31 minutes later and I'm still waiting....how long does it take to drive some bloody pepsi to someone's house?

Those who appreciate a good pizza will tell you that a good pizza, not just a great pizza, ought to have enough toppings on the dough to make it a pizza. Whether or not the managers at Papa John's have started saving money in their personal penny jar I don't know. But having ordered two XXL pizza's with a discount offer of 50% off on orders over £15.00 I was expecting a great evening thinking what a deal. However, 50% off literally meant just that as the pizza's were empty. Even the tomato base was only placed within the middle, lacking on the outer slice. Dry, tasteless and disappointing. Stick with Domino's or before using a discount count call and speak to the cooks, request that they give you a full pizza, regardless of which discount code you use. Bottom line, you still paid for a pizza.

So today, I went to order a pizza from papa johns in Hemel. The service was awful, I repeated my order 6 times (at least). The service was very very very slow. After placing my order, I went to collect it and guess what's IT WAS WRONG! I said I wanted onion and the guy said that I am lying. That I ordered only 3 toppings even tho there was 4 on the pizza. The service is so rude! The food was cold. Really would not recommend. Disgusted by it.

Ordered from the Hemel store via justeat. It is the worst experience I have ever had. Food was 40 mins late so I called the store. Shifan answered the phone and was unevelieveably rude. Screamed at me, told me to cancel my order, could not tell me when it would arrive. No sign of an apology. When I asked for his managers name he told me a series of lies - there is no manager, I am the manager, the manager comes tomorrow, I don't know, it is my first day so I don't know the managers name.... he then hung up on me. Disgusting service, they should be reported. If I could give this place 0 stars then I would.

3 out of the 4 of us who had the pizzas were ill and after complaining have had to fill out a form asking me what I had eaten in the 3 days leading to my illness...Really??? .you know when something isn't right and the vegetarian pizza just tasted of lard. You might get called a c**t by the delivery driver. Other than that it's fantastic... You might want to go elsewhere.

Disgraceful. Having been a customer for 3 years I was called a c**t for suggesting the driver should deliver my pizza to the door rather than me wander looking for it in the rain. Disgusting and will never order again. Expect similar treatment from this mob.

i have been here twice (after the 1st disaster, i gave them the benefit of the doubt) but after the 2nd time we have ordered and the order has been wrong, the food cold and the staff not actually caring or bothered. they all just stand around and chat with their mates. not good.

As expected from papa johns. Good quality ingredients and nicely cooked. Don't buy unless on offer though (an employee of PJs told me this) you will be paying a lot if you buy non offer pizzas!

I have always preferred Papa Johns over Dominos as they serve better quality Pizza and service is more personal rather than the being rushed feeling you get with other franchises.

Terrible service rude manager accused my wife of lying delivery driver didn't even knock when delivered and then they attempted to tell us he had waited outside for 10-15 minutes steer clear will never be using again

Yes its a chain Pizza company, but actually, the pizza's are really good quality, and consistently so. I have only really ordered from Papa Johns after trying them out for the 1st time a few years ago. Now I only order from them.Service from the Hemel branch is quick, as is the delivery time. There are nearly always some sort of offers, which makes them good value. Well done.

The food came quickly as expected, and the quality of the pizza - well I wish they had a franchise in neath/swansea!

We've tried Domino's, Pizza Hut etc but we always end up coming back to Papa John's. Their delivery is always reliable and on time. The pizza choices may be more limited than it's rivals e.g. no hot dog stuffed crust etc but they always taste fresh. Always take advantage of their online deals, and if you use them enough times you earn a free pizza! I strongly recommend their chicken dippers, cheesy jalapeno bites and Chicken BBQ pizza.

Of all the many, many pizza delivery places in Hemel this is the best by far. I love the garlic bread!Usually have a BOGOF offer and this includes half and half pizzas which is nice.

So the reason i am here now is on a lonely sunday night with no one to meet no one to see and no one to live with, i found myself hungry thus I looked for food with the hunger for asian food so we began are quest with calling to find food places that was open at 10 at night, to are supprise no where was open but the one and only mighty papa johns the king of pizza. I would kiss Mr,Johns and would propose to him if i met him. When the pizza got here i was met by a hansom indian man who we invited in for a drink but he refused as he was so busy delivering amazing food to people in need!. Live right live strong buy papa johns!

Always order from here if im in the area (not very often though) rather than other pizza places. Always got some deal on, last one I got was a large pizza for £12 (I think). Only can comment on the delivery service though as i've never ordered from in store. Delivery doesn't take any more than 20 mins every time i've ordered. Always 'just right' to it's never boiling hot or freezing cold like some places can deliver it to you.

Papa Johns is the best pizza delivery company. The pizzas are lovely and fresh, not greasy like some other pizza companies. The jalapeno poppers and garlic pizza bread are fantastic!Delivery always seems to be prompt too.
