Pizza Express in Wycombe

It all started well. Food came quickly and service was good. However, i was appalled when it arrived and there were multiple mistakes on the order. When our pizzas arrived , they made the wrong pizza and then made the mistake again! Quite irritating but food eventually was relatively good. What was surprising was i have visited here many times before and it was great but this was a real disappointment and one to forget.

Helpful staff and nice, relaxing atmosphere. It doesn’t have the biggest floor plan but the theming has been done well and it’s great to be so close to the dough being prepared.

What a lovely experience! Maria was so attentive and very warm and welcoming! Nothing was a problem at all. Really appreciated the whole experience and staff are so lovely and food was top notch. Will definitely be returning to this particular branch. 😊

A great lunch at Pizza Express with my son. Friendly and efficient service from both Diogo and Nina who really looked after us. Food was delicious and fresh and arrived quickly. We will be back again soon!

Restaurants definitely needs more workers

We arrived for 2pm left around 5ish it was nice and quiet, gorgeous food, wonderful service would definitely recommend the carbonara and BBQ burnt ends pizza. All food we had was freshly made the cheesy dough balls came out sizzling and calamari was hot and crispy. That place never fails to give a wonderful service for us.

Maria who is the manager is an amazing soul and very kind who understand the situation and how to keep the customers happy! I had a bad experience at Maidenhead pizza express which I mentioned to Maria and she dealt the situation with calm and being respectful! Thank you Maria .. keep it up 👍

We took our young carers group for pizza making, the staff were incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. The children loved it and we are already looking forward to next year.

I recently had the pleasure of bringing my class of 30 children to Pizza Express Marlow and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. Organising an outing for such a large group can be daunting, but the staff at made it incredibly smooth and enjoyable.

The pizza was delicious. We ordered one margarita, one pepperoni, a salad, and two colas for 37 pounds.

So many options available for everyone at home! Just wanted to highlight how quick the delivery always is and quality is always consistent. Definitely one of my go to places and will be ordering again!

The restaurant serves amazing food and the staff are very accountable and considerate to all customers. Managers are amazing too at resolving any issues that occur.

I came here with my partner on a busy Friday night, but yet the service was fast and excellent. We were served by Maria who was excellent to us all night. The honey and chilli dough balls were delicious and so was the pizza and wine! Will most definitely be returning

Visited for lunch and the staff were super helpful and professional, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect to enjoy a quick bite.

We were visiting Marlow for the day& popped into have some lunch.. The service & food was great,well presented & arrived quickly. A relaxed atmosphere,with polite staff & very welcoming!

Visited in December and was disappointed with the service, however my experience this time was completely different ! The staff were lovely (especially the manager) and the food came quickly and was delicious !! I will definitely be revisiting soon !!

A Big Thank you to Nina and her team at Pizza Express Marlow,Nina went above and beyond serving us with great enthusiasm,we had the greatest dining experience to date,as we started to feel hungry after coming into Marlow town center,the service was very fast and efficient and we really enjoyed our meal and the new starter,Nina was very fast and offered us a drink as it's been a hot day,she knew straight away and made us feel very relaxed and we had a nice time,nina made us feel special and Nina lovely smile made us feel welcome as always,I would highly recommend pizza express Marlow and they have endless choices of starters/mains and sides and great fast service from Nina and her team and not forgetting the hard working smiley chefs who put ithe Magic ingredients into the amazing dishes, well done & A Big Thank you 😁🍕🥃

For a pizza Express this is a good one. Staff very attentive a superb pizzas. Only downside is cost of drinks far too expensive

Went there on a Sunday for lunch. Slow service. We were not warned there there is a long wait for the food. It took 45 minutes before our food arrived. Our pizzas that we ordered were very tasty and delicious but shame about the very long wait and we haven't been warned and no apology for the delayed food.

Great service and very nice food.

The waiter forgot to put our order through and didn’t check back for 45 minutes, left us waiting with two bored young children (who had had their food separately). We went to re-order, and they comped 20% off the bill which was not sufficient at all

Enjoyed our meal. One of our party had their pizza come out missing a topping but they corrected it once we informed the waiting staff. The staff were really friendly.

My grandson is partially sighted and requires a tad more light than pizza express have. Now, get this, head office remotely dim the lights part way into our meal and the local staff cannot over ride it.

Terrific service. Nice food. Very comfortable late afternoon meal

Food was ok. Despite no issue at other locations beware of using Tesco vouchers.. they couldn’t get ours to work which we were told was not unusual at this branch. Wasn’t offered much assistance from management but finally sorted it, actually by ourselves on the pizza express app by adding the code manually. Sadly though a fan of pizza express wouldn’t return to this branch.

Gabriella was an amazing hostess, we were a large group and she dealt with us and our odd requests exceptionally well!

Arrived at 9pm, two of us. Pizza arrived at 945pm. It was not fully cooked and we ordered one Cuban thin crust and one classic amarocan. We received both with classic bases. It was obvious that everyone in the restaurant was second to the take away orders. The chef was really busy and nothing was coming into the restaurant. Very very poor at least the staff recognised the problem and took the Cuban order off the bill. Will not be using pizza express again

I came in to place an order and will never come back after today. I waited 10 minutes for someone to greet me. The manager was too busy talking to his friend with his back turned towards the diners. His friend clearly told him that a customer was waiting, but he didn't bother to turn around. Two young waitresses were rushed off their feet whilst this man was casually talking and having a good time... this didn't sit right with me. I urge customers to visit other branches in the wider area like Gerrards Cross where you'll have a better experience.

Had a 5.30 booking. Restaurant had a few people already eating/waiting for food.The waitress was very prompt taking order but it went downhill after that. Starters came 40 mins later but after 2-3 minutes had to ask at the kitchen where my 9 year old's starter was as it had failed to be served. Starters finished, we then had to wait at least 10-15 minutes for mains. We didn't bother with dessert.

Been coming to the Pizza Express in Marlow since 1998 and it has always been great, but recently it has become a disaster zone. Last visit they were "out of ham" so despite accepting an order for my pizza they came back with 20 minutes later with a different pizza and said I couldn't have the one I wanted. Service used to be quick but now very slow. Ordered a beer, but it never came. No knives on most of the tables, so had to pinch one off one of the few tables that did have one. Never got offered a menu again for postres so after 10 minutes with empty plates we gave up. Won't be coming back until they get decent staff who know what they are doing.

Having worked in catering most of my young life, I have to say that this place, even though a chain restaurant, did it perfectly. The gay gentleman who served us was training a new girl. It was an extremely busy night, but he managed to simultaneously: 1- make sure the new girl was getting her train in and he kept an eye on her 2- made sure we were satisfied and that our order was taken correctly 3- made sure no other customer in the busy restaurant was made to wait for service more than a few seconds. 4- topped up any glasses that were empty 5- asked if we wanted more of anything that ran out on the table, as soon as it ran out All. At. The. Same. Time. This was one of the most professional, experienced group of staff I’d ever met. Even the new girl got into her groove by the time we left, probably due to the amazing training she was getting. Oh.. and the food was SO delicious, we ordered a second pizza for takeaway about an hour later!

Sadly, though the food was tasty and delivered quickly after ordering, the time to order and the 15minutes waiting to get the plates cleared or at least someone’s attention was too much for us. Perhaps others don’t mind being ignored (twice), but we do,

We always go to marlow pizza express but tonight we were really disappointed with the service the first time in 10years. The service was extremely poor the manager was useless we order drinks which never arrived the young lad was the only person working hard tonight he was running around trying to keep everyone happy without any support from management also the food was great as usual but the service really let it down tonight.

Family friendly pizza restaurant with good dietary choices including gluten free pizza bases. Great children’s menu and high chairs available. Good range of pizzas with some seasonal options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great value and relaxed atmosphere.

A disappointing visit. It started by being given the wrong menu. Apparently they put their prices up over Christmas and reduce them from today (3/1). Despite choosing what we want from the cheaper menu we were told we would have to pay the Christmas rate. It doesnt sit well with a customer when they see a price and then have to pay more. Even worse when the waitress thinks they are the same price! One main had to be reselected as they had only 1/5 dishes available in the "Al forno" section of the menu. To cap it off a pizza was cold. 8 people in the restaurant (over 3 tables) and yet failed to provide two hot meals at the same time to our table. The starter was hot, as was the reselected main, but overall a really disappointing visit and I would be unlikely to return through my choice.

Lovely experience, really friendly and very fast service for a Saturday night. We’ll be back to this branch.

Left sitting at the table without even our drinks orders being taken whilst the host was standing around doing nothing. When we informed her we were leaving she asked why. The restaurant wasn’t even busy! Off somewhere else. Terrible service

I’ve always enjoyed Pizza Express pizzas and those we had this time lived up to my expectation. Good amount of topping and a thin crust.

Lovely taste and good quantity for money

Great location in centre of Marlow high street. Fairly quick service, we didn't have reservations but were sat at a table without fuss as it wasn't too busy at 6.30pm ish. Food was tasty and well presented. Chef was visable tossing & baking the pizza's so the kids were entertained. Waited a while befor the bill was finally presented. I would recommend this place. After 6.30pm parking is free on high street, otherwise it's 1-2hrs free parking.

Not good unfortunately, cold pizza and pasta, late whilst dining in. Staff explained this was due to Deliveroo orders. Really sad when this is normally okay, but last few times have been the same.

Started off on the wrong foot when waiter became annoyed about an allergen query. Went further down hill when food arrived with half the promised toppings missing (no broccoli or olives on a pizza already without cheese) making my pizza incredibly bland. Atmosphere felt tense and did not enjoy the experience at all. Would not recommend for families or pizza lovers.

Great pizzas and they were SO GOOD to us about our food sensitivity! Our daughter has horribly sensitive celiac disease and they made every reasonable precaution to prevent a cross contamination. And it sure worked out well!

Pizzas were good. We booked in advance and were shown to a table tucked away in a corner. We had ti wait for other guests to leave before we could be moved to a better table. The place was very busy and under staffed. Not our best experience at a Pizza Express.

Staff were very friendly, including the manager who greeted me when I came in. The Pizza was exquisite, carefully prepared by the chef. The restaurant was also clean and tidy despite being busy. I would highly recommend.

Cool and quite quiet for a Saturday lunchtime. Lovely four seasons classic and enjoyed the new watermelon sorbet. Good service.

First time eating at this resturant. The resturant was not particually busy but we were placed right next to where the chef was preparing the food which was very loud so we asked to be moved. The food was not as good as the other chains I have been to, on the pizza you saw more tomato sauce then ingredients. My starter was completely forgot about and was then brought out with my main (bruschetta with barely any toppings). When we came to pay it was awkward as the waitress asked us if we would like to leave a tip, on this occasion we didn't want to but felt obliged to give one as she asked. To conclude we won't be going back.

I guess we all expect Pizza Express to be predictable and reliable as a chain restaurant. Well, the staff here are really friendly and accommodating, the food was good, service speedy, and atmosphere pleasant too. Enjoyable eating for pretty fair money. Recommended.

This review is going to be as plain and forgettable as my experience at Pizza Express. I ordered the Padana with extra chicken and my friend ordered the Pollo ad Astra with extra pepperoni. First off, for a £2.50 add-on you would think you paid 50p for it. Across the whole pizza there was probably about 4 pieces of added chicken, which isn’t enough for 8 slices. While my friend’s pepperoni to pizza slice ratio fared a bit better at 1-2 pieces of pepperoni to a slice. Secondly, my pizza, although I had been to the bathroom for a few minutes, was cold to lukewarm by the time I got to eating. Sorry but if the tomato base is chilled after 5min, it clearly hasn’t just come straight out of the over. Lastly, our drinks which specified, “served with lemon and mint” contained neither the lemon nor the mint. Overall, disappointing and won’t be returning. The only real positives were that staff were friendly enough and school kids may find it acceptable.

We fancied a pizza between Christmas and New Year. We would normally have gone to Da Luca in Marlow Bottom, but they were closed for a well-deserved Christmas break, So we ordered a take-away from Pizza Express. It would have been better if we'd waited,,,, The bases were on a par with supermarket pizzas, the tomato sauce seemed over-reduced, the toppings were meagre. I remember the pizza being better here, as were the Pizza Express ones we used to order from the supermarket. Or maybe we've been spoiled by Da Luca, whose pizzas are authentic, made on site, large and delicious. And cheaper!

Very slow service. Ceasar salad arrived with no ceasar dressing. Kids pizza badly cooked.

The young lady who served us was lovely. She sounded as though she may have been Italian. The food was fine and it came quickly. Knowing how the chain treats its staff with regard to tips I was reluctant to go in but desperate times.... It was unsettling to see the cooking staff not wearing masks.
