Pizza Express in Central Bedfordshire

Very busy so food took longer than usual

Always a pleasure to come for a meal, the staff is lovely

Vegan menu. Full marks! However, the pizza tasted very strangely of cleaning product as if they’d cleaned the surfaces of meat and dairy before making it. I still ate it all but my wife spat it out when she took a bite of mine. Hers was vegan too but tasted only of pizza. So… not sure… Even fuller marks go to Ria who seemed to be single-handedly running the entire dining room. I’ve honestly no idea how it was possible; I’ve never seen anything like that level of multitasking. Almost supernatural. All in all, a lovely dinner.

Top shelf service and food, you cannot get any better than pizza express

We had a lovely meal here, Holly our waitress was amazing, she even helped us with our app so we could get the offer! Lovely food and fantastic service.

Visited mid week for a date night. Unfortunately we were placed next to a table of teenagers who could only communicate by shouting at each other. Given the building is quite an open space with vaulted ceilings, the acoustics were awful and we could not hold a conversation without shouting. Not really whet you want when all was required was a quiet table for two. However food was good and what you expect from this chain. Service was excellent and attentive, just a pity we were put where we were,when there were lots of other available tables.

Pizza Mess, more like. Couldn't hear yourself think due to no acoustic boarding. Almost £8 for a bottle of beer. Waited over an hour for a pizza. Staff not interested . No apology, nothing. Go to the independent takeaways either side of it.

Popped in on a quiet afternoon for a work lunch. We were served quickly and given very good service by our waiter Joe who was very friendly, efficient and attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant has a very nice layout and look being converted from its previous life as a fire station. Food was good and service was excellent so no complaints here!

Just had the worst delivery from this place. I’ve had some bad pizzas from pizza express in the last but this one wins. Almost half an hour late which likely explains why it was cold. Luckily I opted to add extra pepperoni to the American as without I fear there won’t have been any at all. And why don’t they cut the bloody pizzas properly! I think that’s the last pizza express for me. Used to be good, now worse than pappa johns and for £50 it’s an insult!

Burnt pizza, lazy and slow service. Grimy glasses and all in all, a horrible depressing experience. Once, this place was quite good. Nowadays, better pizza at Dominos, down the road at half the price. This place will surely close down soon unless they significantly improve in all areas

My partner and I came to pizza express this evening and our server, Ria, who we’ve had before, always goes above and beyond to make our experience smooth sailing. Service was fast and efficient, like always and nothing is ever a problem, especially with our fussy dietary requirements!

My family, friends and I have been eating at PizzaExpress for many years. I've been living out of the country for 20 years and always seem to visit when I return. PizzaExpress always delivers good food, great pizza, great atmosphere and great service. Last night 4 of us attended PizzaExpress Leighton Buzzard. Everything was great with friendly efficient service by Luke. Thanks again PizzaExpress.

Great place to be, friendly staff

First time we visited and probably the last, first impressions and all that. I went with my two grown up sons on a Sunday early evening, it was relatively quiet. We didn't get offered drinks when we took our seats, we ordered our starters and drinks at the same time which we waited about 25 minutes for then had to wait a further 40 minutes for our mains. One pizza was so soggy in the middle it fell apart when my son picked it up, with a knife and fork I may add. Would we visit again? nearly £90 for three of us to dine with a pretty poor service probably not, would we recommend pizza express LB? definitely not... Sorry but you really need to make sure you have the staff available, we actually booked our table in advance too. Definitely needs some work and possibly more staff. A real shame as we are LB residents.
