Pizza Express in City of London, Westminster

Had one of my favourite dining experiences here recently. Was meeting a friend for a catch up and our server Patricia made the experience a blast. A great personality and made us feel at home! And very patient when I was redeeming the rewards through the app! Thanks again 😊 A quick update, visited again today 19/03/2025. Our server Tiziana was very helpful, helping with our questions and redeeming Pizza Express Club offers. Highly recommend this location!

Lovely warm, welcoming branch in the heart of Piccadilly, a stones throw from Trafalgar square. Our party was having an early dinner. No one rushed our choices, the service was fast and my leggera pandana was the best one I've ever had, with a huge salad in the middle. My decaf cappuccino with lotus biscoff cheesecake even seemed more delicious than usual. One perk was the deep windowsill next to our banquette seat. We were able to commandeer it to store all our luggage, coats and other stuff. It's essential for comfort when dining to offload everything that distracts from relaxed enjoyment of your food and the company at your table. I've only detracted a star for atmosphere because the toilet is downstairs via a deep spiral staircase with a extra step up after that to access the entry doors. I couldn't see a disabled toilet at ground level. As lm ambient disabled but with poor pro prioception l would have liked the option of using one.

Not just another pizza express. Good friendly polite staff and a comfortable venue. The usual pizza express food, yet cooked well and very tasty.

I forgot to specify that my order was gluten free bc I'm intoleeant and had to send my pizza back for a replacement and the waitress was so nice about it. I felt terrible but the replacement came quick and she assured me it was okay. Lovely staff.

We came to London for 5 days and found this pizzeria by chance. We took a takeaway pizza which was delicious, so we came back to eat there. The meal was delicious, I highly recommend the pesto dough balls, an absolute treat. The waitress was super nice and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.👍😊

Mi esposa y yo comimos aquí un viernes por la noche antes de ir al teatro. Llegamos un poco antes de nuestra reserva, pero la bienvenida fue amable y nos dieron una mesa. El servicio fue amable y eficiente. Todo lo que tuvimos fue excelente. Las bolas de masa sabrosas y las pizzas eran muy buenas. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra comida y nos gustaría comer aquí de nuevo.

Anoche comimos en Pizza Express y nos intoxicaron. Han estado en muchos otros a lo largo de los años. En este caso, pensé en probar el pollo parm. Fue un error del que me he arrepentido las últimas 24 horas. La textura era gomosa, como si estuviera mal cocida, o tal vez cocida de congelado (también la pasta era extremadamente sosa y seca). De cualquier manera, el resultado fue el mismo! No volverá a comer allí, ni a comer la parmesana. Nota para sí mismo; péguese a la pizza. . . Un lado positivo - la camarera era muy amable y agradable.

My mum and I had a wonderful dinner before going to the theatre across the road. The food was delicious, but what made our evening exceptional was the service from Patricia. She went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, with recommendations, speedy service and checking everything was okay. Top level genuine customer service, thank you so much Patricia and all at Pizza Express Haymarket.

Ate at Pizza Express last night and got food poisoning. Have been to many others over the years. In this case, I thought I would try the chicken parm. That was a mistake I've been regretting for the last 24 hours. Texture was rubbery, as if it was either undercooked, or perhaps cooked from frozen. Either way, the result was the same! Will not be eating there again, or having the parm. Note to self; stick to the pizza... One plus side - the waitress was very polite and pleasant.

Really disappointed I asked for a small pizza and the waiter said kids meal so let us have the kids meal even though I just wanted a small pizza not kids meal . The supervisor was rude and said you can’t use blue light we said that’s okay not a problem We had no water given to us or even offered to us And they never asked us how our food was Really disappointed with the service

Great service from our lovely waitress. It is a bit cramped and manic upstairs but downstairs is very pleasant. Excellent vegan pizza and IMHO the best gluten free pizza of any chain.

Had a table of 28 (yes, 28!) including 13 kids and it all went brilliantly. Staff were amazing (especially the man in charge whose name I sadly can’t remember!). Food was good as always with the kids menu remaining good value.

Quite disappointing - Waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged by a waiter (and only after we flagged one down) despite having a 6 o clock reservation - sat in a table with very busy foot traffic, asked a staff member if we could move who said she'd go check but she never returned - one waiter's plate gently hit my partners head as he was rushing by, he didn't notice or apologise - long wait for food and drinks (but it was a very busy night) - wait staff were loudly complaining about the lack of tip as we got up despite the terrible service we had received at the end, which was mind boggling - the pizza was fine

Waiter was not inerested in us, was unhelpful in explaining the Xmas deal. Served us awful cocktails and scowled all the time he was serving us.. Dough balls were luke warm, I counted 5 olives on my pizza . It was approximately 8pm and the waiter kept warning us that they were closing at 9pm. We finished way before this time

Very noisy restaurant, they offered us a table in the basement next to the kitchen and the waiters were very rushed and quite unpleasant. The pizzas weren't very good, I think you pay more for location than quality.

Here’s a revised version for clarity and tone: I don’t recommend this place at all. My child doesn’t like pizza, and they wouldn’t allow her to eat her own food. Additionally, we ordered a dish as a side, but they served the main portion and charged us for it. When we objected, they claimed we should have specified that we wanted the side portion. I didn’t even know the dish came in two sizes!

The pizza was pretty average (garlic prawn), but our waiter Milan was excellent, extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you Milan!

Came in at 6pm to get a quick dinner ahead of a 7.30pm theatre show (same street, 2 mins walk), which I would usually want to get to 10-15 minutes before curtains go up. I thought that would be enough time. I was wrong. After asking several times, and my husband telling me that we should just leave, the food arrived at 7.05pm, leaving us 10 minutes to scoff down a whole pizza and pay. We did it, and paid the full amount owed because we simply didn’t have time to complain. An hour of waiting, and no apology? No coming to the table to give us an update? Nothing?! Can I also say to anyone thinking of ordering the Buddha Bowl to be forewarned that, despite it being advertised at £16.95, and just under 600 kcal (substantial enough for a meal, I thought) that it is a bowl of spinach leaves, a tablespoon of hummus, a handful of tomatoes and - not kidding - a tablespoon, two at most, of grains sprinkled on top. The worst thing you say about a restaurant? That you left hungry. Well, I was ravenous. I would genuinely be surprised if I got 200kcal. Not a meal. Not. A. Meal.

Service was horrible and extremely slow. The waitress and waitresses were so rude. They got our order and after 40mins they served the starters. When the main arrived they were cold. So it was a bad choice especially with kids.

It is really slow we have been waiting for 40 mins. !!!

Estábamos en Londres para ver ‘Waiting For Godot’ en el Theatre Royal Haymarket, y este Pizza Express estaba muy cerca. Fue una actuación matinal, así que decidimos almorzar. Pizza y ensalada eran buenos, mención especial por el excelente servicio. Con todo, si te gusta Pizza Express, y yo sí, merece la pena una visita.

The service was fast and the food tasted good. The tables felt a bit close together so it may feel cramped when crowded.

This restaurant is a gem. It looks good from the outside and even better inside. Despite the crowd, the hostess greeted us warmly and even managed to find us a table. The service was flawless. I left the restaurant in a good mood. My only regret — I should have tipped more

We arrived at Pizza express around 830pm on a weekday no reservation. Service was ok. I ordered caprese salad, and American hot. Caprese salad was surprisingly good, American hot was also good but too spicy for me!

Came in for a pre-show snack and had a lovely experience. I wasn’t starving and just wanted a snack, and my server Anny (who took such good care of me) recommended the garlic cheese bread as an option. It was perfect. Just the right amount. I had a drink and dessert with it and left fully satisfied. Even though I came at a busy time pre-show I never felt rushed or that they wanted me gone. Service was excellent. Had I been hungry they had an incredibly vast menu. Will definitely pop by again for a larger meal soon!

Estábamos en la zona en un descanso y elegimos este restaurante, ya que se veía bien desde el exterior y teníamos hambre! El servicio era bueno, y la pizza era muy agradable, con porciones grandes. Es caro, pero la mayoría de los lugares lo son, y me lo esperaba en Londres. Mi única queja es que mi amiga dejó una propina, y escuchó al camarero hacer comentarios sobre lo pequeña que era mientras se dirigía al baño. Creo que cualquier propina es un extra y fue un aplazamiento para mí, pero por lo demás disfruté de la experiencia.

Calzone was the best i have ever had and all other food was ok, Hallomi came up cold, and was reheated which seemed a chore, Waitress Inga wasnt very happy for some reason and it seemed like an effort to serve us, the restaurant was busy, but surely you should be welcoming to your customers, would not return.

Seems that all Pizza Express locations are great. The name may not conjure up an Italian pizzeria, but it is. The crust, sauce, the pasta....all excellent. We ate at 2 locations during a recent visit to London. This was the second, and it did not disappoint.

Very cute pizzeria with a great selection of Italian dishes. They have cocktails, dessert and tea options. I love the music selection and our server Milton was super sweet with a warm vibe. Every dish was so fresh with plenty of seating. Great experience!

I love Pizza Express, and while the food never disappoints, it's often the service that makes all the difference. Incredible Service at Pizza Express! I recently visited Pizza Express and had the pleasure of being served by two amazing ladies, Birute and Kelly. From the moment I walked in, their warmth and professionalism made the entire experience exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect—from the quick service to their friendly attitude. Birute and Kelly’s attention to detail and genuine care for the customers really stood out. It’s rare to find such great service, and they truly made my visit memorable. Our go to restaurant for dinner pre event in London. Good morning This is something thats a little unique my contacting you again but we felt it was so warranted. On Saturday we visited the Haymarket again for a pre concert meal as we were attending a gig at the Hidden Jazz Club, Soho and yet again we were served by an amazing and engaging waitress- what is it about the Haymarket that attracts such great team members? Another amazing moment was when Patricia popped over to say hi and to enquire if we were having a great time and she also remembered that we were sitting at the same table as our previous visit. What great customer service and attention to detail, especially in such a busy environment where she must meet hundreds of diners every month. We always have such a nice time and meal at Pizza Express restaurants and plan to make the Haymarket our go to place whenever we are in Town- which is quite often. Unless of course it's for a jazz music event when of course we will eat at the Dean Street venue. Anyway, enough said. Went to Pizza Express Haymarket yesterday evening and our server Patricia made our experience so great, we were heading to a show and were on a time limit and she helped us in every way she could while also making sure we had a great experience. Couldn’t recommend her and the restaurant more. Lovely time at pizza express Haymarket.

Pre theatre dinner. Restaurant became very busy with insufficient serves on duty. Pizzas we requested well done, but were not, base very oily. Desserts were very good. Our dessert server was excellent.

Ordered a chicken pizza. Just 3-4 small chunks of chicken toppings 😞. Not worth.

We had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. I pre-booked as it's the height of the summer holidays. Service was very good. I had a problem with my main and my sons order was incorrect but they were both rectified. The tables are a little too close together especially when pushchairs are beside the table but otherwise all OK.

I love Pizza Express and have had gold membership for two years in a row now, and I can safely say this was the worst experience I've ever had there. The pizza was so overcooked and chewy I could barely eat half of it, but somehow it was still half cold in the middle - and the same for the dough balls and my partner's pizza. The service was slow and our waitress was rude, slamming food and drink on the table without a word and not bothering to ask us how the meal was. Really unpleasant - avoid this branch!

We ordered the Chicken Barbecue Pizza. It was delicious and not overwhelming like others. For dessert, we had the Biscoff Billionaire Sundae it was to die for! I highly recommend it so leave some room in ur stomach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Pizza Express to anyone in London.
