Franco Manca Bishopsgate in City of London, Westminster

Cozy and big place to eat. Was able to eat there without a reservation. Unfortunately, the staff was understaffed that day (2 people in the kitchen + 2 people serving). It was too busy for them to handle all the orders. People had to wait very long for their food + drinks. Once the food arrived at the tables, it tasted good. Another thing worth to mention is that the pizzas we ordered turned cold very quickly. That was a pity. The deserts were delicious and well priced. The staff very friendly. Note; there is only one pizza with a white base on the menu, the rest has a tomato saus (red base) on it.

Food great as always. But what really stood out was Masu. He made our dining experience better than any other spot in London. So kind and welcoming.

I would like to congrats the chefs for the food , the pizzas and the chicken pesto was amazing and I have to say it was a perfect experience from start to finish. I also want to give a special shoutout to Al Amin and Valentina, who provided outstanding service. Al Amin was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home, while Valentina was warm and welcoming, always smiling and checking in at just the right moments. Together, they created such a pleasant and relaxed dining atmosphere. Great food, Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back

I enjoyed my meal here. I had the number 7. Smoked Spicy Salami - Soft sorta, not hard like boxed up ready to go pizza. Flavourful too. If they could add pizza cutters on the tables that would be helpful. Quick service, one of the servers made sure to check that we were alright and our meal was alright too.

We went for a team lunch. Very nice. Efficient service given that they were busy during lunchtime. All our orders arrived at the same time. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Clean. The branch had a bit of a strange layout. I ordered pizza number 2 with organic tomato, mozzarella & basil which was fine. Plain and simple. Would recommend. Very reasonably priced.

The pizza itself is good, but the anchovy pizza: 3 anchovies... very little topping. Also, be careful if you're a foreigner, they add a 12% tip without warning...

If I could give this place a 0 I would. The pictures themselves show the lack of respect this establishment has for its customers and the lack of pride it takes in its own food. The rider we were assigned confirmed he saw the pizzas already in this state as he loaded the boxes into his bag and even objected to them but they just handed him the boxes and asked him to get on with it. Honestly why even bother making pizzas if you're going to waste food with the way you serve it. It's disgusting behaviour and just a reflection of the ugliness in the person that made this.

I’m usually someone who makes pizza at home, but when my mom asked for a vegan pizza, I decided to take her to Franco Manca in Bishopsgate. I was honestly surprised by how good the vegan pizza was perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful toppings. My mom absolutely loved it! Denis, our server, was fantastic and really made the experience even better with his friendly and attentive service. Definitely a great place for both vegan and non-vegan pizza lovers!

Ordered takeaway pizza from here, i arrived 2 minutes before collection time and walked 3 minutes with it home and by that time it was stone-cold, i don’t know how long the pizza had been sitting in the box prior but it must have been awhile as the cheese had already congealed. Not very impressed and wouldn’t recommend for takeaway

The place was really busy when we arrived so we were sat at the bar table watching over the kitchen to wait and have a drink. Then we realised this was actually the best place to sit! We were entertained by the chefs, giving dough to play with and all the staff were so lovely and friendly. And obviously the pizza was delicious as always at Franco Manca. But the atmosphere and staff are what made our night special. Thank you!!

Cancelled my booking and hour before arriving. Refused to accommodate us despite there being spare tables across the restaurant. Staff unfriendly, refused to apologise and blamed "senior management". Mohammed shouldn't be placed front of house

Booking was cancelled an hour before we sat down. Mohammed didn’t apologise and was extremely rude. Disgusted how you can cancel like that and not offer any apologies. Felt like an establishment born out the routes of the Spanish dictators name sake.

We booked a table at Franco Manca over a week ago for me and my school friends to meet for dinner. Some of us travelled for over an hour to be there as we were going to an event afterwards. We arrived at the restaurant to find out that our booking was cancelled moments ago. None of the staff apologised of offered anything for our inconvenience. This is an absolute disgrace, and I can't believe we had to put up with it. It feels worse than being a West Indian after being discovered by Christopher Columbus.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but I was so disgusted by the service here I felt compelled to do so. After arriving, we were told that our booking had been cancelled and that there was a “booking error” leading to no available tables. Upon looking around we could see a multitude of free seats, but according to the maitre de these people had been given priority over us, even though there booking was some 30 minutes later. Downstairs was completely closed according to the front of office staff. After querying this they were rude abusive and racist towards us. They then began to bicker amongst themselves quietly and laughing at us as we left. Our booking was at 6:30 on Wednesday 29th so I suggest that management investigate this issue as I will never be eating at Franco Mancas again and I used to love coming here.

Absolutely disgusted by the service, by which I mean, we didn’t even have any! I took the time out of my day to use my fingers to get a reservation… AND GUESS WHAT… my group, committed to the time, waited an hour, we get there… and they say there’s no space! What’s of the point in a reservation if dining feels like an invasion? We really wanted to eat here yet this restaurant pays no respect to its customers and does not honor reservations. Very upset.

Pizza and atmosphere was lovely, but me and my friend were so rushed during, and after our meal by staff. The bill was brought to us straight after they took our plates considering we didn’t ask for it and we still had our drinks full. Felt like they were hinting us to leave faster, even though there was no line of guests waiting for the tables and restaurant wasn’t even fully packed.

Delicious sourdough pizza but the lady who served us was extremely rude.

The staff need to be called out for unequal treatment of customers. I walked in to request a table and simply got the response they were fully booked after the waiter supposedly checked the system, and waited outside for my (male) friend to arrive. He insisted we try again and he was greeted openly and got a table without staff even having to check said system - there were plenty of free tables.

Nice pizzeria, but inspired by London, in the menu and in the ways. Pizza dough similar to Neapolitan, but chewy. Pizza toppings not in line with the common Italian ones, pizza with chorizo ​​also not, beer served in a plastic cup also not. Final note OPTIONAL SERVICE 10%. Not well stated on the menu, if it's optional you shouldn't put it on the bill without saying so. Reviewable

Muy cerca de la estación de Liverpool Street, nos ofrece un amplio local, con un salón a nivel de calle y otro en el sótano. Cuenta con horno de leña y una carta con entrantes, ensaladas, pizzas y otras especialidades italianas, aunque no hay platos de pasta. El salón donde comí es muy agradable y la atención, muy buena. Pedí pizza amatriciana, recomendada por la casa, y un tiramisú casero, ambos buenísimos. De bebida, una cerveza que embotellan ellos (No logo), que se puede pedir tanto de barril como en botella; yo pedí la botella de 330 ml. y estaba buenísima, muy suave pero con cuerpo. La cuenta, 26,34 libras (unos 32 €). Me gustó mucho; es de las mejores opciones con que contamos si queremos comer antes de coger algún tren.

Very close to Liverpool Street station, it offers us a spacious premises, with a room at street level and another in the basement. It has a wood-burning oven and a menu with starters, salads, pizzas and other Italian specialties, although there are no pasta dishes. The room where I ate is very nice and the service is very good. I ordered amatriciana pizza, recommended by the house, and a homemade tiramisu, both delicious. As a drink, a beer that they bottle (No logo), which can be ordered both on tap and in a bottle; I ordered the 330 ml bottle. and it was delicious, very soft but with body. The bill, 26.34 pounds (about €32). I liked it a lot; It is one of the best options we have if we want to eat before taking a train.

A fantastic place for delicious pizza! Staff are very friendly & the menu has something for everyone. The bacon on the pizza was especially fantastic and so flavoursome! I would definitely recommend, although it was quite noisy with many children & balloons constantly being popped.

I’ve been to Franco Manca many times and have always had great experiences. Unfortunately, at this particular branch, the service fell short of expectations. Both the waiter and the manager were noticeably unhelpful, displaying an attitude for no clear reason. This unwelcoming behavior really spoiled what is usually an enjoyable dining experience.

El gerente vino y nos gritó que no podíamos entrar aquí y decirles dónde podíamos sentarnos. NO le diga a un cliente que puede elegir su propio asiento y luego tratarlo así cuando todo el restaurante está vergonzosamente vacío... . . Comportamiento vergonzoso hacia los clientes de pago, aunque nos fuimos así que perdieron eso! ¡Muestre al cliente a su asiento si es un problema!

We always feel welcome at Franco Manca on Bishop's Gate. Meka greets us warmly every time. The food, especially the pizza, is absolutely fantastic. And when it comes to price and value, it’s unbeatable. We love it!

The outer crust on the pizza is amazing - absolutely one of the best. The inner crust (under the toppings) is extremely thin and soft, however. Toppings are sparse but the variety is impressive and creative. They also serve soda pop in glass bottles which is reason enough to go there! One HUGE complaint we had is that we were charged $3 when we asked for a 'to-go' box for our leftovers. Ridiculous.

Me and my friend came here for dinner. The food was okay but we were given a wrong bill! We realised it was wrong half way through the payment (it was two of us splitting in half, so just when I did the first payment), and the waitress just went away, changed the bill, and charged my friend the remaining balance. I asked her if she could maybe provide a refund for the extra money paid and she said she'd rather have my friend send me the extra money I paid? It was fine, but I believe this is not very professional, especially when you can just give the money owed in cash to your customers, rather than having your customers do your work because of adding extra things on our bill, which was obviously not our fault. Also, kinda cheeky to still add the service charge after all the confusion !

I only write reviews when it feels like a civic duty. This chain get my pizza wrong every single time without fail. Doesn’t matter which branch I go to. Usually the waitresses insist on not writing down the order and consequently mess up the pizza toppings. This evening I actually wrote down the toppings for them and they still messed it up. They repeatedly told me they had Parma ham then added cotto ham instead. They forgot the chilli and added caramelised onions and utterly tasteless capers - neither of which I requested. I asked for extra basil and got 2 shrivelled basil leaves which is just extraordinarily tight. And the extra garlic I requested was all just tossed into the centre of the pizza. When I thanked the chef she basically just grunted at me and then when I opened the box and observed the ham issue she started telling me that the bog standard ham WAS “cured ham” which is truly shocking for a supposedly top pizza restaurant in the square mile. Feels like the chain got sold to some cut throat private equity firm and hired lowest common denominator staff. The chef at Broadgate Circle is worse. He actually covered my pizza in rocket that was rotting and then glowered at me when I sent the pizza back. Avoid this chain like the plague. They literally cannot be trusted. Really sad.

Having read some of the poor reviews, I was sceptical about their experiences, can a restaurant really offer such poor service? Visited at just after 5 on a Sunday. There were only 2 other tables occupied, both of who left not long after we were seated. Appalling service, we had to gesture to get the waitress to take our order. On finishing we were left for a good 10 minutes with empty plates in front of us. Decided to get dessert and coffee elsewhere. Lovely pizza though. What a shame.
