Franco Manca Bishopsgate in City of London, Westminster

I’ve been to Franco Manca many times and have always had great experiences. Unfortunately, at this particular branch, the service fell short of expectations. Both the waiter and the manager were noticeably unhelpful, displaying an attitude for no clear reason. This unwelcoming behavior really spoiled what is usually an enjoyable dining experience.

For being in London, a very good pizza and first class service. I went with my children and wife. It is their favorite place.

Fantastic dining experience. The service offered by Luca the restaurant manager was second to none. Despite a very busy schedule he managed to secure a table for us and looked after us throughout the entire night. Best Italian food and service, highly recommended. Thanks Luca

We always feel welcome at Franco Manca on Bishop's Gate. Meka greets us warmly every time. The food, especially the pizza, is absolutely fantastic. And when it comes to price and value, it’s unbeatable. We love it!

The outer crust on the pizza is amazing - absolutely one of the best. The inner crust (under the toppings) is extremely thin and soft, however. Toppings are sparse but the variety is impressive and creative. They also serve soda pop in glass bottles which is reason enough to go there! One HUGE complaint we had is that we were charged $3 when we asked for a 'to-go' box for our leftovers. Ridiculous.

Me and my friend came here for dinner. The food was okay but we were given a wrong bill! We realised it was wrong half way through the payment (it was two of us splitting in half, so just when I did the first payment), and the waitress just went away, changed the bill, and charged my friend the remaining balance. I asked her if she could maybe provide a refund for the extra money paid and she said she'd rather have my friend send me the extra money I paid? It was fine, but I believe this is not very professional, especially when you can just give the money owed in cash to your customers, rather than having your customers do your work because of adding extra things on our bill, which was obviously not our fault. Also, kinda cheeky to still add the service charge after all the confusion !

I only write reviews when it feels like a civic duty. This chain get my pizza wrong every single time without fail. Doesn’t matter which branch I go to. Usually the waitresses insist on not writing down the order and consequently mess up the pizza toppings. This evening I actually wrote down the toppings for them and they still messed it up. They repeatedly told me they had Parma ham then added cotto ham instead. They forgot the chilli and added caramelised onions and utterly tasteless capers - neither of which I requested. I asked for extra basil and got 2 shrivelled basil leaves which is just extraordinarily tight. And the extra garlic I requested was all just tossed into the centre of the pizza. When I thanked the chef she basically just grunted at me and then when I opened the box and observed the ham issue she started telling me that the bog standard ham WAS “cured ham” which is truly shocking for a supposedly top pizza restaurant in the square mile. Feels like the chain got sold to some cut throat private equity firm and hired lowest common denominator staff. The chef at Broadgate Circle is worse. He actually covered my pizza in rocket that was rotting and then glowered at me when I sent the pizza back. Avoid this chain like the plague. They literally cannot be trusted. Really sad.

We had an excellent experience at Franco Manca. The staff was welcoming and provided prompt service. The pizzas were delicious, and we received our order quickly. I highly recommend this place for an efficient dining experience!

Food is super yummy and fresh the pizza dough itself is very tasty The staff is really friendly and nice as well, overall we had a nice dinner with our little dog on the outdoors table 🐾♥️

Having read some of the poor reviews, I was sceptical about their experiences, can a restaurant really offer such poor service? Visited at just after 5 on a Sunday. There were only 2 other tables occupied, both of who left not long after we were seated. Appalling service, we had to gesture to get the waitress to take our order. On finishing we were left for a good 10 minutes with empty plates in front of us. Decided to get dessert and coffee elsewhere. Lovely pizza though. What a shame.

First time tried sour dough pizza and it was different in a good way. The pizza was good. It was very light but filling. We got chicken salad which was fabulous 👌. Nice personnel.

Was recommended by a friend who loves this place but I was sadly disappointed. There didn't seem many options on the menu and the pizzas were sadly lacking. No option to create your own which is sad as what they offered didn't appeal. When the pizza arrived, it was a decent size but was quite doughy like it hadn't been cooked thoroughly. The garlic bread lacked flavour.

I booked the downstairs private area for a surprise party for my husband’s birthday and couldn’t have been better supported. Monica and her team were AMAZING. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. It was remarkably difficult finding a pizza venue in London that would host 20 people on a Sunday. I was so grateful when Monica answered the phone - she was so helpful and accommodating and really put me at ease. Massive thanks to her and her team.

I received the pizza after a Deliveroo order. On the third slice I noticed something crunchy and hard in the food. It turned out to be small stones. I thought it might be salt, salt rocks, but no, they are stones. Small but very hard rocks. I don't know how they got there but it doesn't look safe to eat this. I've thrown the pizza away.

Very disappointed, pizza was very in the middle, the Franco manca Frozen pizzas from the supermarket are much better.

The confusing experience for a student trying to take advantage of discounts/stamps definitely made this experience worse, but overall a solid pizza spot with friendly staff.

This Franco Manca excels, maintaining the high standards of the chain. Ample seating on both floors, welcoming staff, and consistently well-crafted pizzas. Lots of vegan options are available and the mozzarella can be exchanged for Violife vegan cheese. As always excellent value for money.

Dreadful food, appalling service We ordered 12 pizzas at 12:10 for Delivery at 1 pm. At 2 pm six the pizzas arrived. They were stone cold and they had not been cut into slices. At 4:02 pm the remaining pizzas arrived, in a similar dreadful condition, and they had obviously been just waiting on a shelf for hours. We tried to ring the restaurant and nobody answered and this sort of appalling service is what I expect from this absolutely rotten restaurant. The food is mediocre, even when it’s hot, but the service is beyond dreadful. Someone who is in charge of this franchise needs to remove these people from Bishopsgate because they are undermining the brand value of this restaurant chain.

No cheese! They said if I would like extra, I'd have to order an additional pizza, and then he just walked away, LOL 😆. Ordred a bottle of wine but had no idea what was a red and only have half pint glasses, hahaha. Avoid this place in Bishipsgate as so many other options!! As honestly, anything, including a packet of crisps would be better! Any other restaurant deserves your money but not this one... Unless you fancy experiencing the worst and wasting your money!. Sadly my colleague was shouted at. They made a mistake on the order and assistant did not want to admit they were in the wrong. This was actually a very large order also.

I must say, my experience was delightful, and Megha played a significant role in making it so. From the moment I entered the restaurant, Megha greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile. Her friendly demeanor instantly put me at ease, and I felt like a valued guest from the start. She patiently guided me through the menu, explaining the various pizza options and making recommendations based on my preferences. First visit to Franco Manca. Great pizza and lots of choice on the menu and the specials. The chocolate and blood orange ice cream tasted just like a Terrys Chocolate orange 😋

Extremely delicious pizza and salad. Very light, fermented dough with tasty ingredients. I’m sure we will be back before we leave! The wine was also priced reasonably and very drinkable.

I went there today (20/08/22) for lunch with my wife and small child and the service from the two ladies front of house was excellent. My daughter who is to young to eat a pizza was watching the chef at work, he was so engaging with her and made her heart shaped bread to take home. What a nice gent.
