Pizza Express in Surrey Heath

I really liked the place, the staff are so friendly , got the food very quickly. Would recommend 👌

We ordered 70 pizzas to takeaway on a Sunday evening (order put in in advance). The staff dealt with this huge order efficiently and really went the extra mile. They got us to send a spreadsheet of who had ordered what, and when we arrived they had named each pizza box so we could deliver the right pizza to the right person. Upon our (fairly last minute !) request, they even sliced them all for us. Brilliant service from all members of staff involved, thank you so much.

Had lunch here with a friend, first time at this location. We were seated in a dirty table, but someone came to clean it. The place was super busy, service was slightly slow but the staff was friendly. Now the food was not good at all, the new Melanzane (Al Forno) was terrible, even the frozen one from Lidl is better, way too much tomato and too watery one too, barely any cheese and tasted like nothing. The polenta fries were also very tasteless. I won't intend to go back. There are way better Italian restaurants.

Visited here on a Friday evening with work colleagues. I booked a table online earlier the same day. Our table was right next to the door which was very unfortunate because it was a cold evening. We couldn't swap tables as it was very busy. I had the gluten free dough balls to start and they were delicious with the garlic butter. I had a gluten free vegan pizza and, sadly, it was a bit bland. I also don't understand why the gluten free pizza bases have to be so much smaller than their regular pizzas? Our waitress was lovely and friendly. Although my colleagues and I had a good evening, I'm not sure I will be returning any time soon.

Cubana pizza isn't nice it's too soggy for the romana base otherwise foods always fine service was ok was ignored on a few occasions 50% off pizzas great value

Great experience as always, good food, great service. Extra attention given to our 8 year old birthday girl, without asking 🙂 Toilets are seemingly unheated though so be prepared to freeze in the winter!

I think the food is probably over priced to start with but there are always lot's of offers available if you look for them. I can recommend the ceaser salad.

Ordered from the festive menu and what an absolute rip off. Doughballs in blankets for £7.45 and you only get 4 balls! The Porchetta pizza was over £17 with very scant toppings. Very disappointing. No wonder we were the only table left at 9.30 on a Saturday night. PE are becoming very overpriced for what you get back in return. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly

We made an order at 4pm and have still not recieved anything nor is the contact number being picked up. Not going to bother ordering from here again

I just wanted to leave a review as we visited the Camberley branch on Saturday at around 4.30pm. There were about 4 tables of people and the rest of the restaurant was empty. This is now the 3rd visit where we have been turned away at the door as “they are fully booked” or “under staffed” Our children were so upset and when I queried why so many tables were empty I was told they were expecting people to fill them in an hours time. I can understand this happening once but not 3 times. What a shame!

Nipped in this lunch time for a business lunch. Great food and service.

I went this week for a dinner with friends and we were about to leave! Honestly, how can you think of having a restaurant open if you don’t hire more people? We waited ages just to order the food and it’s not the waitress fault! We felt so bad for them and so uncomfortable to be there giving them even more work to do. I’m so sorry but even if I love pizza express I will not go anymore under those circumstances

We came here as Zizzi over the road no longer accept cash payments. Pizza Express thankfully does! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 So we shall now be eating here in future. Absolutely brilliant service, wonderful food and you are keeping cash alive. Fantastic! Good normal standard of food and service. It was rather chilly inside the restaurant because of the aircon, I assume. Pizzas were nice but cool down quickly if you go for a large thin one.

You know what you’re going to get food wise which is great. Staff are always really friendly and helpful. So sad that the toilets are always so appalling. I don’t know why they don’t refurbish. So unhygienic. Guessing they are for the staff too? Unsure why they put up with them if they are.

Great place, regularly frequented by Royals for children's birthday parties. A sight not to be missed.

Went back after 3 years and I feel the service has improved based on my experience. They are opposite the Zizzi in Camberley shopping centre.

I have been a customer of Pizza Express for over 40 years but hadn't visited one since before the pandemic. This was the first meal of my holiday. Service was fine; our server had been with Pizza Express for 15 years. However, the quality of ingredients and cooking has changed for the worst. We returned our garlic bread, as there was no real garlic butter applied by the chef. So, we opted for it to be replaced with dough balls, so we were the arbiters of the amount of garlic butter being applied. (I remember the days when the local chef made the garlic butter on-site much better!). We chose our regular pizza options, but so bad was the product that turned up at our table that I took the time out to call over the server and advised that a Dr. Oetker pizza was more interesting. It lacked seasoning and herbs and even looked bland. The reasoning she advised was due to people's allergies nowadays. I've never had to ask for seasoning or herbs to be added to my pizza previously and was not asked about any allergies when ordering. Over the years, I have noticed the servings have got smaller, but this recent experience was the worst ever. So, bad that I won't revisit Pizza Express. It's been ruined by its drive for profit, I can only assume.

We went in, it is the first time we have been to Pizza Express in Camberley. There was only 2 other people who were on the same table. We waited 7 mins to be seated and then 10 mins and no body came to the table to ask if we wanted anything as the staff were too busy talking to each other. The room was also freezing cold. We didn’t end up ordering anything and we ended up walking out

Took a while to get our drinks but the food was really nice as you'd expect from Pizza Express.

Asked to sit outside for a glass of wine and told only if I'm desperate as there are 2 pubs opens. This was the manager talking. Wow!!!! That's customer service for you.

No idea how good the food is! But my girlfriend collapsed with our 6month old in Camberley town centre. This women didn’t leave her side even when I arrived and called an ambulance. She spent a good amount of time poking and keeping amused our 6 month old while I was on the phone to 999. Absolute legend, I’m sure she was late to her shift and I sincerely hope her manager praised her for being a good human being. I didn’t get her name (kinda busy and forgot!) Im leaving her company 5* in the hope that they recognise a good human being (and because I didn’t get her name or number). All the best and thankyou, thankyou very much. Matt

I've visited before and had pizza which was very nice. This time I had Lasagna. I have to say it was no better than a microwave meal which would have cost me £3 in the supermarket. The mince was minced so small you could hardly tell there was any meat in it. What a disappointment.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant, a great gluten free selection too! My favourite when we go out for dinner/get a collection.

I would rate this restaurant a zero if I could !!! The quality of the food was fine and the service was great by ‘johnny’ until dessert where the staff changed and the dessert tasted absolutely awful and had a very metallic acidic taste to the point I couldn’t eat it yet had to wait 15 minutes before anyone checked up on what the issue was even though we were looking around to grab someone’s attention, they didn’t seem bothered once I had explained the issue to a waiter. However after this they then moved away and started talking about us as customers to their co workers and we were continually stared at while the waiter told the rest of the staff who made it clear by turning around and staring at us we felt very uncomfortable and singled out, it was very unprofessional and by the end of the meal none of the waiters even cared to clear the rest of the plates or cups before giving us our bill as it seemed we were being avoided due to the complaint.

Camberley Pizza Express was great for a late lunch yesterday. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious food. Many thanks.

The food here is ok. Very oily pizzas, pasta was ok. Wish I just made my own. Rude waitresses that wouldn't let us split the bill because I was using a voucher. £85 not worth it!!

We went as a large family group all in all it was ok, the service was good, but it did take a while for the food to arrive. Have no wish to go back.

Went here with two 9 month olds and felt totally at ease as there were a number of young families. The staff were amazing and the food was exactly what we expected.

Food. All over my clothes. I did think it would be a bit weird to watch live wrestling during my meal, but as soon as "Big Tractor" was hurled onto my carbonara, I was sold on the idea. I would definitely recommend this establishment to any wrestling/italian food fans, although service could have been slightly better.

Last night we visited pizza express there were 9 of us lots of discounts from the app and we were late for our booking due to bowling overrunning and they were fantastic unfortunately I didn't get our servers name but she was so helpful helping us with the app and very patient as I know we were a nightmare table thankyou so much for looking after us!

I don't normally leave reviews for chains, but this branch is so lovely. Super child friendly and the waiter was really helpful. Decent baby changing facilities (can be rare for restaurants!!) And yummy pizza too, of course!

So we went to PizzaExpress Camberley and we wanted just a few things for six people so we got some things for waitress was absolutely horrible we had to wait about two hours for our food and when I got my food my order was wrong so we thought we had to wait even more when I got my food I didn’t like it so that is how bad PizzaExpress in Camberley is

Walked in with a friend for lunch and politely asked if we could have a table in a quiet area away from a young children's party. The ponytailed waiter (manager?) replied in a surly manner "So why would you come here in school holidays to a family restaurant? We walked straight out and into Bill's.

Friendly family restaurant, serving great dough balls and pizza ( other food is available!). Restaurant is clean and welcoming. Staff are friendly and service prompt.

My waitresses were Netty and Bean they made me feel very comfortable and included as I was dining alone. They looked after every detail and made my evening perfect. My meal was delicious as well big bonus. Thank you girls you were amazing xx

Very dissapointed in Pizza express. Service was disappointing because the waitress was asking why we want to serv the pizza outdoor. After we started enjoying the drinks, with my mother and my friends she came and told us we can't smoke outdoor but no sign. It should be sensible enough to have a sign to let as know before sitting on the table. I even talked to the manager and I told her to put a sign and she replied back that she can't make a change and if I want I can complain on the official pizza express website. It wasn't a pleasant experience as I expected because I even asked her to make a suggestion to her superiors to improve the service but nothing happened.

Very dissapointed in Pizza Express, I thought the food was quite poor for the price paid. Though my cannelloni was tasty the portion size was small. Wine and beer ridiculously overpriced but I guess that is just restaurants these days. Service was quite good.

Saturday night dinner for two. Hadn’t been in for 3 years. Similar experience to then, disappointing. Positives: the pasta dish I had was nice. Negatives No spicy sausage in the kitchen so all those dishes on the menu were off. A nice warm summer evening outside but inside the staff had the AC cranked up to uncomfortably cool. Mens toilets pretty disgusting; they have needed an upgrade for years.

I’ve been here on a few occasions and have just found service to be so slow every time. i always brush it off as the restaurant being busy but it feels consistent even during quieter periods. staff don’t smile and don’t look like they want to be at work and they take their time coming over to the table. tonight we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken and then we waited over an hour for our pizza, there was maybe 5 other tables in the restaurant at the same time as us. i do enjoy pizza express but i won’t be rushing back until they motivate their staff or hire some people who can naturally work in hospitality

Busy Saturday lunchtime but we had booked a table and seated promptly. Bit chilly and draughty with door open onto street but probably still obeying Covid advice. I had a free doughballs starter as a reward and partner chose baked mushroom which she enjoyed but wasn't overwhelmed little on the small side but tasty enough. Loved my usual of sloppy Giuseppe on a Romana base and my daughter enthused about her Quattro Verdure. Partner's Florentina Romana also very good. Service a little slow but was friendly (shout out to Subina). Partner thought Ladies loo could do with a good clean. Total bill just under £60 with 2 soft drinks a coffee, 2 starters and 3 pizzas, so not cheap but we enjoyed the experience.

Getting in to pizza Express was NOT Wheelchair friendly.

Good service, looking a little run down now

Went last night 19th March. First and probably last time we will go here. Waitress hassled us to order mains. We had ordered our starters and said we weren't ready to order the mains but she asked 3 times in 5 minutes if we were ready to order our mains. After our starters we asked for 10 to 15 minutes before getting our mains. 2 minutes later our mains appeared. We mentioned that we asked for a gap and they took the mains away. However when they came back my partners bolognese looked dry and the pasta had black burnt bits which suggested they had taken back the original main and put it under a grill. She tried a bit and other bits of pasta were hard and inedible. My pizza was ok. Wasn't overly hot though. Waitress didn't really seem bothered. Initially she pretty much yanked the menu out of my hand, then it was implied it was our fault that the main came out so quickly and finally she just plonked the card machine on the table. No real feeling of customer service.

Service excellent, food good, toilets... Well I've seen cleaner porta loo's at festivals. Absolutely disgusting!

We came here at lunchtime last week with our grandson he had the child menu which was fine my hubby said his pizzas wasn’t the best he said the ones I buy from Aldi are a lot better I had Pasta which wasn’t nice seemed to be full of onions that weren’t cooked & it was dry & tasted as if it had been heated up as was left over from night before it certainly wasn’t cooked fresh that day Very disappointing The beer very expensive at £7 pint & I asked for a small glass of red wine that cost £7 too very over priced I will never go back we paid £45 for child’s menu a small pizza & a bowl of pasta & two drinks Very Expensive

We arrived to the restaurant around 9pm which was well before the closing time of 11pm yet we stood waiting at the door to be served for well over 5 minutes and still no one came up to us. I would have understood if it was busy but there was only about 4 tables in total at the time. We left after feeling very neglected by the staff even though we made eye contact with a few of them. This was the most shocking customer service I have ever experienced and hope this will not be repeated towards other people.

Takeaway from Pizza Express is absolutely awful. Food delivered completely cold and missing items - really inadequate. We were very excited about trying the new 'halloumi bites' - which turned out to be a handful of cold, pieces of plastic for £4.65. Get takeaway from here if you have money to burn ... And you need cold food to put it out.

The food was alright there was some flavour but the pizza was burnt and paper thin not good the cutlery was not clean the service was not good they put in our order before even confirming it and put more than we could afford on the bill They had already put the food in the oven but because we couldn't afford it we had the cancel it not good experience

We ordered take away and were given butter with our dough balls instead of the tomato sauce that is supposed to come with them, only a few dough balls in did we realise that the butter probably wasn't vegan as that is not what was advertised, we then call up to check up on our order and whether it's correct, only to be told by the manager that the butter is not vegan and he would talk to his staff as they must have gotten neglectful because it was near the end of their shift. How he thinks it is OK to excuse his "neglectful" staff and making it obvious that this is something they tend to do, I will never know. The food was OK, pizzas did not come as advertised, some ingredients were missing, like herbs on both pizzas and tomato on one of them, as well as the pizzas not being cut, ewhich absolutely baffled us but we are aware that this is probably a company decision not the restaurant staff. Disappointing to say the least.

Had a lovely early evening meal to celebrate our Grandaughter's 8th Birthday. Staff and service were great.

The food was delicious and very tasty too. A good atmosphere in the restaurant and busy with orders. The staff ignored our party at first eventually finding a table and taking a drinks order. We were thinking about leaving but chose to stay and glad we did in the end.

Very poor food quality, slow service and the toilets were filthy. We went to the Camberley Pizza Express for the first time tonight for a celebration with my two young children. We left extremely disappointed. The bolognese from the children's menu was inedible, it was a watery tinned tomato taste, full of pepper and the meat was gristle and the lowest grade meat possible. My children who are not fussy could not eat the bolognese and when my husband and I both tried it we couldn't have eaten it either. I ended up giving my children my pasta meal that I had ordered and I had to order (buy) a new meal for myself which took another 20-30 minutes to cook. Then the deserts, I ordered a 'warm chocolate brownie' it came out fridge cold so not warmed up at all and I was unable to finish it as it was so hard and sickly. The ice cream on all deserts was full of ice crystals which made the ice cream so crunchy and were not very nice to eat at all. When I raised my concerns regarding the quality of the food to the waitress she just apologised and said she will inform the kitchen staff. The food was really awful and just spoilt our evening. I also had to purchase an extra adult meal so my children had something to eat and didn't go hungry. The service was also extremely slow and the ladies loo (first cubicle) had poo smeared all over the back of the toilet seat. I would not recommend this restaurant and I will not be returning. The quality of the children's food was totally unacceptable and probably the worst food we have ever experienced in a restaurant and I had to pay for an extra meal just so my children could eat. Shame on you Pizza Express!

The title is a bit cryptic but a couple of times it has been closed due to "staff shortages". Plenty of staff this time. Not sure I like the Autumn Menu as much as previous ones, but plenty of Pizza selections. Started with the Garlic...

Ordered via Deliveroo it was absolutely disgusting. The base was raw making the pizza in edible Called the restaurant they blamed it on Deliveroo didn’t realise they cooked and delivered your pizza. Obviously Pizza Express Camberley don’t like doing takeaways shame Fleet don’t deliver will...

Food was absolutely lovely, the service was really quick and our food was brought out quickly as well. No complaints!

Arrived at pizza express and ordered garlic king prawns for a starter However when they arrived I wouldn’t say they were king prawns. Anyway I noticed that one of the prawns hadn’t been cleaned properly and still had feces inside it. Was told by the manager that this is how it comes as they arrive in a big bag. Won’t be ordering again if there not even checking what there serving to the customers.

This order was via deliveroo, it's nothing like you would expect in the restaurant. We ordered 2 pizzas, both with very sparse toppings and they didn't even bother to slice it either. Was similar to the 50pence pizzas you used to get at a school...

Excellent service from all the waiting staff, and I do love the Romana pizzas.
