Good but the umbrellas/canopy was opening and closing due to a light breeze. It was hot 29-30 degrees.

As a Richmond local, I have been going to Pitcher and Piano for as long as I can remember. I have many fond memories there and have always really enjoyed my time there. I am extremely sad to hear that this place is closing down. However, I would like to give the biggest shout out to Fios. He made this place what it is. I used to run a members club in Twickenham Film Studios a few years back, and all I can say is that Fios is incredible at his job. He is always so pleasant and greets you with the biggest smile. He is the hardest worker I have ever met. He pretty much runs the show! He is always on his feet making sure everyone is having the best time, and always making sure you are getting the best service. Although I am extremely sad to see this place go, I am even more upset to see him go!

Great service from Maxine, Ruby, Louis, Molly, Ty, Jordan, Jazz and Molly, they were very friendly and helpful even though it was very busy. Yummy food and a lovely setting on the river!

Difficult to find a table, but we were served by great staff, especially Fios. He was very attentive and even took a photo for us. Made the whole experience 10x better.

I had my birthday gathering at the Pitcher and Piano Richmond. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They were helpful and attentive and always smiling. The food was also fantastic - buffet and pizzas etc. It couldn’t have gone better. Dale and Lottie were so helpful when setting it up. I can’t believe the P&P is closing. What a loss. It’s the perfect setting overlooking the river and right in the centre of things. A massive thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make my birthday so special

Pitcher and Piano is a lovely restaurant by the Richmond river boasting excellent views and delicious food. More importantly, what elevated our meal was the unparalleled service offered by Mr Fios. He was kind, helpful and efficient and even when out of his way offering to take photos for us by the river. I am glad I ate here and will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and to look for Mr Fios when you are here!!

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday party in the Conservatory at Pitcher & Piano Richmond, having hired the area and catering in advance for around 40 guests. We must give a special mention and thanks to the member of staff Fios, for his hospitality and excellent customer service, as it is worth recognising those that go above and beyond what is expected to deliver a truly great service. We found out that Fios was responsible for simply running the food, however we could tell that he was extremely busy during the day, not only catering to our private function but to other customers as well. Nonetheless, he was very attentive, friendly, and super helpful with our guests requests throughout the day and into the evening, from even finding us candles for the grand birthday cake as we’d forgotten to bring them! We’re aware that Pitcher & Piano Richmond will be closing down in a few weeks, which is a shame but hope that it will be under good management in the future. We had a fantastic time and would recommend the venue as it is in a great location by the riverside.

Rubys service was incredible and she kept asking us if we were ok! Constant attention and communication! Cant fault her one bit! Definitely will be coming back!

Came to pitcher and piano for a massive night out with friends and was served by Eijon and Ty. He was so funny and amazing I’ll be back to be entertained by him once more. Make sure to pass on my feedback to Eijon as I hope he gets a reward for this and maybe even shares it with the other mixedrace lad who was brilliant #killer#ftw#heinous

We had a really great time. The place was very busy so it took longer to get our food on the table, which is understandable. No complaints.

We hosted a large dinner for our friends and family (almost 90 people) at Pitcher & Piano Richmond and could not have been more pleased with everything the team there did for us. The service was impeccable, the staff was incredibly friendly, and everyone just kept raving about the stunning views from the patio & atrium. I cannot recommend this spot enough for a large group dinner event!

During a scorching hot spring day we were boiling in one of their rooms. Found out heating was at max. They could not turn it off. Poor customer service a bad for the planet! Food average, few waiters stretched and not so experienced. Fantastic location by the river

Atmosphere is lovely but service was incredibly slow (not the staffs fault). You had ran out of most drinks (particularly Prosecco so all Spritz drinks were unavailable)! When we did order a gin and tonic it came flat and when we asked to change it we were told we’d have to pay again for the next drink. An established bar like yourselves should be much more prepared for a sunny day in Richmond!

We had booked in advance and were sat outside on a beautiful evening. However we used the app and it appeared that there was no wine listed. When I asked a waitress she said “oh it probably means we’ve run out”! How can an establishment as large as yours “run out” of all wine?? We then tried to order non alcoholic lager, this too was not available! We then tried to order our food and once again the steak was not available. We opted for 3 burgers instead, this came quite promptly but the chips were like warm. I find it appalling (and slightly unbelievable) that at 6pm on a Saturday all wine, some large and meals were not available. The location is stunning but we felt very disappointed and let down by the meal.

Great location, but our experience was marred by long wait times for drinks at our table. Additionally, some drinks were not prepared properly, such as lacking ice cubes.

Great private function room overlooking the Thames.

First time I went was this evening. Stood in a 4 deep queue to get a drink and remained there for 1/2 Hr while others pushed in front and got the bar tenders attention - I explained this to the bar tender when some unruly people pushed in but he decided to serve then first anyway. Actually ruined my evening and went home then and there. Won’t be going back.

Fios was one of our waiters and he was delightful. Super helpful and cared for our party of 5 with professionalism and a smile.

The pub is in a good location, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was a bit disappointing as it was on a par with Wetherspoons but priced higher. I would visit again but only for drinks.

Outstanding services from fios, went out above and beyond to help me find my way round Richmond. Friendly ans welcoming atmosphere with a great location next to the river. Customer services was second to none, will be returning and highly recommending to friends.

The vibes were immaculate here on a beautiful spring evening with friends. The music downstairs was top notch & vibey with dreamy fairy lights outside. Shoutout to the security/bouncer with dreads! I forgot his name but he was great. Super friendly.

Visited last week with some friends, hadn’t been in pitcher and piano for years so we were very excited to visit again. Had a great evening, drinks 10/10 and excellent service by bartender Ruby! I celebrated my 50th birthday in the top room. The venue is fantastic, overlooking the Thames, the staff were excellent from start to finish and the buffet food substantial and tasty. Highly recommend for a function.

Expensive bar. Service okay. The place has gone downhill. Use to be immaculate now doesn't look it. Needs cleaning and tidying up. Looks tired for a prominent location.

Nice little bar, in the hustle & bustle of Richmond Riverside. Does get extremely busy but the staff and very helpful and accommodating.

Family total of 10 with children experienced extremely disappointing service and food. The waitress got our order wrong on multiple occasions, the food service took hours to arrive, we found hair in one of the salads, the list goes on. Too many things gone wrong to claim "this was a rare incident", Will NEVER visit again and warn others about it

Lovely ambiance by the river in Richmond. Special thanks to Fios, our waiter yesterday who was looking after many tables. It was a busy day and he managed to pay extra attention to detail all whilst attending to many other tables on the patio on his own. I work in hospitality and can spot a hard worker immediately. Fios is personable and friendly and he will definetly go far in his career. Thanks Fios for making our afternoon!

We came for the bottomless brunch and Molly was our server. When I say she was actually one of the best servers I’ve had, I am not making an understatement. She was charismatic, kind and made sure that everyone was okay/topped up. She brought the vibe, the whole vibe and nothing but the vibe.

Fios is a great server - very friendly and great customer service. I’ve been here multiple times and keep coming back because of him.

Simple booking process, and low cost booking hold (£1 per person!) Really big space allocated for everyone, clearly marked and no queue to get drinks/food. Will be back! Thank you!

I went with my partner because the sun had risen and we wanted to be on a terrace, and we found this wonderful place, where we had a 2x1 offer on Cocktails and some small plates, we were served at table 108 by Jazmine and Fios, the latter speaking to us in Spanish and he told us that he spoke several other languages, the two waiters were very pleasant and helpful, they gave us the information we needed about the dishes and always with a smile, they were really very warm. I think the prices of the dishes and cocktails are very good considering the area the restaurant is in and the beautiful space, the views are impressive, on the river bank, good breeze and good music, in general, it was a great spring sunshine experience.

We visited Richmond and just happened upon the The Pitcher & Piano. We got a prime seat overlooking the Thames. The food was delightful and the atmosphere was great. Our server, Fios, really made the experience top-notch. He was very friendly, checked on us multiple times, and even offered to take a picture of us with the River in the background. If we frequented Richmond often, we’d come back here and highly recommend to others looking for excellent food & service. Ask for Fios when you go! You won’t be disappointed!

Great spot on the river, very pleasant staff.

There was no food- literally nothing on the menu they had in stock. No drinks- probably only had 3/4 cocktails available to offer. Bear in mind we booked for an 18th birthday meal. Defo would not return.

We came here on a Saturday and Selin was our server. She was so so great and sorted everything for us nice and quickly. Lovely girl aswell. Really nice time .

Very poor, staff incompetent and unfriendly. Waited 90 mins for chicken tenders to be then told sorry kitchen cannot accommodate and we had to leave with no food. Avoid this place
