We had a beautiful meal here today. The manager & staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had our dogs with us & got a fabulous snug with a log burning stove to enjoy our food. The food was delicious and excellent quality. We will definitely be back. The only small niggle was the lack of parking (only around 7 spaces which were filled) so we had to park a fair bit away & walk - but it was worth it. Keep up the good work !

Excellent food, freshly made. This is the main feature of this restaurant. We visited today the Six restaurant within the King's Arms Hotel with my family and we all have been extremely impressed with the food.We have tried several different dishes and we could not find anything at all that was anything but perfect. Starting from the bread, freshly made served with an excellent butter, ending with the ice-cream, rich and silky, everything was well above our expectations. We shared a local charcuterie board which was lovely , especially the coppa.I had corzetti for started and my wife the scotch egg. Both dishes were perfectly executed and cooked on point. The scotch egg with the running yolk and perfectly fried was excellent. The corzetti were rich and tasty, nicely al dente and the broad beens were nice and sweet cutting the richness of the dish. We also tried the agnolotti, which were just perfect. The rich flavour of the goat cheese was well balanced by the fresh cherry tomatoes and the light broth. These are definitely a MUST !I had the Saffron risotto and my wife went for the fish and chips. The risotto was ( very uncommon to find) perfectly cooked with the mantecatura executed to perfection. It was well balanced on the flavour and the saffron aromatic note was not hidden by any other flavour. Just the cheese and butter to complete but not overtaking the main aroma. Our son had a burger, nice and juicy and served with a freshly made brioche bun. Even if it was from the kids menu it showed that attention and care were put also for the children food, exactly as it was for the adults. The ice-cream to finish was delicious. Rich and silky. The service was warm, friendly and precise. We had a bottle Gavi and it was extremely nice. Definitely a place that we will visit again in the future and that would recommend to anyone to visit.

We had dinner here with both adults and children on what proved to be a pretty quiet Thursday evening. The restaurant was rather overlit initially, which, together with the white marble tables and black low-back chairs made it somewhat stark. It was not helped that we were among the first guests in what is quite a spacious dining room.Given that the restaurant has been newly renovated, it is not suprising - perhaps a few palms or other sizable plants would help to provide a little more colour and break up the space. The wine list is of a good length, with a selection ranging from the reasonably priced to the more expensive. We chose a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon which became increasingly drinkable as it breathed. The quality of the food ingredients was universally good, and everyone finished the contents of their plates. The childrens' menu is realistic in terms of choice and offers a slimmed down version of some of the adult dishes (ie the burger). There was a single vegetarian option on the main course menu, and no vegan options at all. I ordered two vegeterian starters as a result, but was quite happy with the quantity of food served which is not always the case with starters. I took the beetroot and burrata salad followed by the bluecheese salad. My wife took the cheddar and onion tart. My cousin had the lamb, which was nice and pink, while our older son took the burger - assiduously stripping it of lettuce and onion relish...The only significant meh was given to the chips which lacked flavour.Ketchup and mayonnaise were provided in little Tiptree pots, which are elegant but not terribly environmentally efficient.Service was a little awkward, with a couple of misunderstandings being worked through, but was attentive and well-intentioned.Overall it feels that Six is still finding its feet: the basics are in place, but the menu needs a little more variety (particularly for vegetarians and vegans), the service could be a bit more relaxed and the ambience a little softer to make it cosier.

I stopped here with my two kids after exploring Hampton Court. It couldn’t be closer without being on the palace grounds and we had a lovely lunch.Although the menu offers some exciting looking dishes and no little creativity, on this occasion we went for fish and chips and a burger and I thought the quality was excellent. The chips were wonderful - like great chip shop chips - and the mushy peas some of the best I’ve ever had. It should be said £16 for a fairly polite portion of fish and chips is punchy, even around here, but on the doorstep of Hampton Court you’re inevitably paying tourist prices (see also £6.55 for a pint of lager shandy) - but all considered, I was happy to pay a little more for the convenience of it being right on the gate (and the kids’ menu portions were plenty for my two and far more reasonable at £7).We sat outside and while it is next to a very busy road, they’ve done a good job of hedging it off and creating a nice terrace. There’s still traffic noise, but it was fine. We’ll definitely return.

For a hotel that is next to Hampton Court Palace, it is such a shame that this place has been stripped of any character. The roaring fireplace is now glass brick and there is not a hint of its nearness to the 16th Century Palace apart from the name of the restaurant. The Kings Arms is a fantastic place to eat & drink. The decor is just beautiful and typical 'Hampton Court style' - making it so atmospheric. The have big, tudor-style tables with dark wooden beans and also a wonderful fire place with big, studded, leather sofas. It really is like stepping back in time (in a good way, of course) - this place obviously has a lot of history. The food choices are pretty limited but that has never really posed a problem for us personally. They have roast dinners, sausage and mash, fish and chips and also a kids menu (last time i checked). The food has always been at a very high standard. The drink is also very good and fairly priced. Staff are excellent, very attentive and friendly. They also have a generous amount of outside seating. Third year running we've eaten here as a family after a day out at the Hampton Court Flower Show. There were 8 of us booked in for 8pm and it was a big disappointment compared to previous years. First there was a skeleton menu. We were told they'd sold out of most things as they'd been so busy. We ended up with seven fish n chips and a burger. Took an age to arrive. And after deliberating on desserts we were told (admittedly very apologetically by our charming waitress) that they'd finished serving food. We were dumbfounded. They offered ice cream.

The atmosphere was good in the bar and the staff friendly. However, the menu was limited, although we were told on booking that we could choose from the main menu if necessary and preorder. They had no salad left and ran out of ham for sandwiches before we had all ordered. My chicken sandwich was made with the end of the loaf next to the crust so was hard and almost stale. We were visiting friends and family in Molesey and decided on an overnight in this local pub with rooms. The rooms themselves were a bit themed around Royals, with four-poster beds and lots of gold and mirrors. The beds were comfortable, but the attention to detail was definitely not royal standard, sadly.Parking proved difficult, with the hotel on the main road. Although it stated in the booking that free parking was available, this was misleading as there are only three dedicated spots outside the pub, with the rest permitted bay parking. Shower rooms were a bit dated and could do with some reinvestment, but the rooms themselves were decent enough and the traffic on the main road outside was not really noticeable despite our room (Henry VIII) being at the front. We had dinner here, which was decent pub grub but nothing more. At over £11 for a burger, and nearly £13 for a pie, I expected a bit more to be honest. Breakfast in the morning was similar - fine, but nothing more. It was a shame that the glasses, cutlery and crockery were all a bit streaky and in need of sparkle. I probably wouldn't opt to stay here again, but it did the job and I hope that my review will not be taken too personally, and may help them to look at some improvements.

I've stayed here every few weeks for the last 5 months and stayed in several rooms. It is a very beautiful historical building and with it comes the quirks like uneven floors, narrow passages etc. which is all completely fine and part of the fabric. But...it is in dire need of a lick of paint and a general refresh upstairs in the rooms and communal passages as it looks tired and shabby (and not in a good chic kind of way either). This needn't be expensive. The walls on the landing are painted in a dark green colour which is heavily chipped and adds to the general gloomy feel. The rooms in some cases have heavy brocade curtains which are falling off runners and bathrooms generally look extremely budget with blinds broken or hanging by a thread. The pub menu is dated, unappetising and dull. It's a typical pub menu of chips, pies and fried stuff. But, it's well cooked and presented clearly by someone who takes a pride in their work as it's very competently done. There are NEVER any specials available. I think it would be a great idea if they let the chef choose two specials a week of their own and this would add much needed variety. A good casserole or some simple non fried fish would be really welcome. I generally go out to eat elsewhere now as I rarely fancy a massive pile of meat pie and chips just before bed... A shame. I think the chef will get bored of just cooking pub grub and leave at some point. The really good stuff about this hotel is the staff are lovely, the breakfast is superb and the bar area is nice too with candles and magazines etc. This doesn't reflect the bar food or the rooms - almost like its two separate businesses. I also think it's overpriced and this puts me off staying there more when combined with the shabby rooms and fried pub food menu. Advice to owners:1. Let your talented chef cook a few of his own dishes as specials. Even if just for a few months and just see.2. Paint the communal areas magnolia to brighten them up3. Get Alex Polizzi to come down

The Kings Arms is a 300 year old inn located on the Northern edge of Hampton Court Palace. The building is steeped in history and in parts of it date back to 1658. Originally built as a ‘house of disrepute’ for the soldiers garrisoned at Hampton Court Palace but now a great place to drink, eat or stay.If I was looking for accommodation to enjoy a day or two at Hampton Court, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to book one of the 13 rooms here.

Not much food available when we arrived on a Sunday evening but I expect they had had a busy day being next to the Palace. Not very busy and I think they need to up their offering to survive in the current market although I'm sure they do a roaring trade during the day.

Quite disappointing. The pub had a dark and grotty interior. Very average food. The Sunday roast was bland. On the plus side, the staff were friendly.

We did a tour of Hampton Court Palace and decided to look at the maze and use that exit. Just outside the exit we found the Kings Arms hotel and decided to have lunch this hotel had many original features for classic English pub. Staff were very helpful and friendly the food for a pub was fantastic but I must say the pints were just as good after 2 hours in the lovely Kings Arms we went to the station to get the train back to London.

We stayed here for one night at a reduced rate for a wedding nearby. The service was very friendly and the pub itself is great and does a fabulous breakfast included in the rate. However the room was rather noisy and hot. We were supplied with a fan and free bottled water which helped but we were still very hot.The room was not bad, but not great. The shower was very small. For the money we paid it was okay as a great location, but not sure I would stay there again. However I would use the pub again as it was very nice and dog friendly for our visiting friend.

My wife and I went to this pub on Sun 12/6/16 for a meal, I must say I was very impressed, from the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. We were greeted on arrival by a young man called Josh who was extremely friendly and polite, a real professional with an excellent way of making a customer feel valued. All the staff there were very pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work. All in all we had a very enjoyable dining experience, which we will be repeating very soon.

Came from the palace for a break. Lots of people followed so they are either googling in advance like I did or asking the staff at HCP. Anyway, menu was small but very good. My husband had the burger which he enjoyed and I had the buffalo chicken burger, which I really liked also, not a usual menu offering in uk but excellently done, only improvement would be a better bun. Good selection of drinks, great Bloody Mary, nice comfortable atmosphere, good service. All around a good option. Saw the sandwiches and they looked hearty and served with hot chips so a decent meal as well. Worth the 5 minute walk from HCP.

Went here for our anniversary for lunch after a 12 mile bike ride. we sat outside as it was a warm day. The staff were friendly and the speed of service was good. However I would like to see more healthy options for the starters and mains though. Otherwise it was a great atmosphere especially inside with the oak panels. Just beware that dogs are not always controlled by their owners something that the staff need to enforce if they are indoors

Backing onto Hampton Court Palace gardens, with Bushy Park over the road it's a good place to stay for seeing some Tudor history and pleasant walks. The date above the door is 1709. The inside of the pub area is very cosy and the food is very good. 2 main courses with 6 pints of good Badger's ale cost £50. The let dogs in (so I assume kids are accepted too).
