Pitch in Worthing

Well; I booked, I travelled over 5 hours from Lincolnshire to celebrate my friend’s birthday. They emailed me on the 9th, asking for confirmation of our booking and when we arrived on the 11th, suited and booted, the notice on the door said, ‘Closed’. Maybe, if they went bust, they needn’t have asked me to confirm my booking 48 hours before. Kenny, you need to address your automatic emails to prevent a repeat of this expensive fiasco. Get a grip!

Fabulous. Looking for lunch before our cinema showing, walked into Pitch, on the off chance, so glad we did!!! Lovely surroundings, nice ambience. Food was absolutely delicious, such a pity we didn’t have time for dessert & coffee. Competitively priced too, delicious fresh food, what more could you want! We will definitely be back!

Was excited to eat here after the write ups. It was a lovely lunch. - slightly pricey (fine) but felt like something was missing. Well written menu and some delicious cocktail options but when everything came it felt like the menu promised more? BUT WAS LOVELY, The service was good. Everything came in ok time and was correct but it all seemed a little cold or tired … I don’t know, the extra mile was missing somewhere.

No Sunday Roast on offer but Roast Rage soon subsided as our helpful waitress suggested an alternative. We ordered a side of Lamb Tacos and as usual, all the food was superb. Truly a fantastic lunch.

By far the best dining experience I've had in a long while, up there with the best ever. Arriving into the foyer of the restaurant, which is light and airy and looks fresh and inviting, to being shown to a comfortable table placed just far enough from other tables so conversations aren't overheard. Emily, our waitress, greeted us and asked about allergies ( none) and then brought over a drinks menu and food menu. We wanted a Sherry aperitif to start, we couldn't find it on the menu but Emily recommended one for us, it was delicious. When it came to ordering food, we wanted a couple of light bits to share as starters, we went for the padron peppers, which come with a unique white bean hummus, that pairs perfectly, we also had the goats cheese donuts and they even gave us an extra one as there were four of us eating. These are a must, in my opinion, well balanced flavour and one of the best starts to a meal I've had. Although as they are rich, I'd recommend sharing. On to mains, I went with three small plates, one each from land, sea and earth. Lamb, crab, and vegetable arancini, this was perfect for me as I love having a selection of foods to try. They were all so delicious, but the arancini is hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten in a restaurant, I'd come back just for these. Others in our party had large plates, steak, and pork chop, all outstanding, and there wasn't a single thing left on any plate by the time we'd finished. This was all washed down with a delicious red wine. We were all too full for dessert, however the chef did send down a Barrata with peach compote that we all tasted, this is a potential new starter for the restaurant and like everything else we ate, it's delicious! The whole experience, from entering, to the tasteful, relaxed decor, to the outstanding food and fantastic service from Emily it puts Pitch at the top of the restaurant list for me. It's very difficult to get everything just right, and I'd say Pitch has done just that. It was just the perfect way to celebrate my Dad's birthday, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Worthing.

Fantastic meal cooked by Kenny Tutt's team, following his Masterchef win some five years ago. Food was superb, using local produce, with everything fresh. Will look foward to our next return....

I attended Kenny's stocks and sauces cookery lesson last night at Pitch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kenny and one of his head chefs, Richard looked after the group of 8 so well. They were fun, friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable. Following a demo, we all made our own roasted garlic mayo (which was incredible) and a bearnaisse. We then cooked out own ribeye steak, had some triple cooked chips delivered from the main kitchen and ate dinner together, using our sauces as we liked. We were also served 2 glasses of wine each. The ribeye was possibly the best steak I have ever had (and I have been lucky enough to have Waygu before.) This course was the last one for this summer but if there are anymore offered I would book up again in a heartbeat. Thank you Kenny and The Pitch team.

Visited pitch for a birthday celebration and cooking lesson on sauces and stocks. The lesson was great awesome to meet Kenny and his team, super friendly and knowledgeable, good laugh and down to earth; throughly enjoyed it. We made some great sauces and had an amazing steak for dinner, definitely recommend for any celebration etc

Well what a great restaurant to stumble across on my first visit to Worthing after work for dinner! Excellent service and a fabulous meal in lovely decor and a relaxed atmosphere! Will be back!!

Having had our wedding breakfast at Pitch a year ago, we thought it would be lovely to do celebrate our first anniversary having a family dinner back there. I booked it several weeks ago, just to ensure we got a table. I told the receptionist the reason for the booking and felt confident we were in for a great evening. On our arrival we were told that they didn't have our booking. Nevertheless they found a table for us. The food was great, different to last year in style but equally lovely. The staff were a mixed bag if I'm honest. We ordered a bottle of white wine and received the wrong one?? No apology was offered and no alteration to the bill made. The meal was great but the attention to detail was really lacking, which is a shame when it was so good last time.

We celebrated a friends birthday last night and must say Pitch made a special occasion perfect. The ambience and decor, space between tables, the food and beverage selection were very good. I chose the duck to start and the steak for mains finished up with cheese and biscuits. Very good quality and extremely tasty. No rushing, very relaxed and with super staff (shout outs to Liv and her colleagues) made our visit enjoyable. Will definitely go there again and highly recommend.

Ok, but nothing really special. We were concerned that the way to the fire exit was cluttered by chairs.

The best Sunday lunch ever! Beef cooked to perfection, crispy roasties, fab Yorkshire pud and perfectly cooked vegetables. The gravy was delicious. The best gravy I’ve had in a long time. Had the rhubarb and rose trifle for afters which was lovely too. Can’t fault a thing. Lovely young man served us and he was very good. Was saddened to hear that they are stopping the Sunday roasts as we would definitely have gone back. Hope it’s just for the summer and we can return again in the winter.

We came to Pitch to celebrate our first year in Worthing, because it was also the first restaurant we came to when we moved here. They’d changed the menu slightly to include small plates, which was a little disappointing at first but turned out to be a real positive. It meant we got to try lots of things, all of which were delicious. Highlights were the beef shin and manchego croquettes and the lamb belly, but everything else was excellent too - who knew goat’s cheese and honey doughnuts could be so tasty?! The decor is smart and relaxing, staff are super friendly and attentive, and we always have such a lovely time here. Hard recommend!
