Absolutely terrible. I went in and to the counter to order coffee and buy a cookie for my child. I was completely ignored, there was no one in the queue and approx 3 tables of people. It was not busy at all. What would it take to say “Hi there, be with you in a mo”? I might add I’m nearly 9 months pregnant and clearly very uncomfortable (not their fault granted). Waited for 7/8 mins whilst two staff were behind the counter doing their best to ignore me and then walked out. Utterly, utterly useless. I grew up in Redhill and was back today for the first time in nearly 20 years, it is a crying shame that people have become so unbelievably rude in the area.

Really rude counter staff. Ordered drinks at counter with intent to order breakfast once seated. Mum needs a walker and I’m in a boot after popping some ligaments & fracturing my ankle. Was literally ordered to pay for drinks at counter rather than paying for everything all at once. So simply didn’t stay to eat. What did they think we were going to do?? Run away? Ridiculous carry on - will not be returning here.

Went to the park with the kids and they wanted a hot chocolate so treated them. Got the smallest hot chocolate in the world which was £2.30 and another £1 for cream and about 5 tiny marshmallows. I like to support small local shops but to pay £3.30 is just ridiculous will have to go to costa next time shame.

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the park with the family until I went to The Pavilion for a coffee and a kids hot chocolate. I was disgusted to be told the price of £6.25, of which £3.30 was for the kids hot chocolate, £2.30 for just the hot chocolate, then 50p for the cream and 50p for the marshmallows. Please note this was for a small cup, the same size as a babbiccino which they only charge £1 for. I feel in this strange time, the price is absolutely ridiculous and I will have to think twice if I was to return.

Disappointing to visit what was once a well run, clean family friendly cafe. Paid £6.30 for a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich - admittedly not having read the price on the board but assumed it came with a small salad/crisps garnish as in the past, not the case - 2 slices of heavily buttered bread plus cream cheese/smoked salmon sandwiched together and chucked on a plate, very overpriced. Ten minute wait for a latte and 2 babycinos to arrive - dispute it being quiet, the children's’ drinks were placed directly in front of the 3 year olds with straws - but were scalding hot. Dirty tables, filthy play area, unfriendly staff. Will not be back.

Can I say anymore, rude staff, dirty floors, as for the toilets 🤢. I went to buy a coffee and there was no customer service. Why cant you employ a staff member that just cleans the tables and floor??

Such a shame as this place has potential but the Manager here (blonde lady) is so rude to the customers and staff a like. I couldn’t believe that she would literally grill the staff in front of the customers and then when a customer complains about something she was so rude as if it was the customers fault. Actually you served and charged them for two adults size portions when they asked for kids beans on toast, so you should be apologising and refunding the customer rather than making them feel awkward and in the wrong.

This used to be a fab little venue, albeit pricey for what it was. However, the service with a charm has gone. Now is it is a bunch of what seems like recent school leavers throwing items on a plate and serving it. Nearly £4 for the small portion of children's beans on toast. £7 for some grown up food given with little care. The ice creams are nice but the freezer keeps breaking and recently they served Sainsbury's ice cream for the price of the organic one they normally serve. Food quality compared to what it was a year ago is poor. You get much better for the exact same price at Pistachios in Reigate Priory Park.

There's no denying the cafe is my kids favourite part of a trip to the park. We often pop in for ice creams and staff are sweet with my little ones, putting up with indecisive slowness and sudden demands for extra cones or spoons. We often have lunch their too and the food is very good, especially considering the tiny space the staff have to prepare food quickly for so many people on busy summer days.Ben and his staff deserve lots of brownie points for all the ways they support community groups and events as well. I was meeting a friend and her 16 month old son and we wanted a place that served a good lunch menu which also had something to keep both our young children occupied. This place was perfect. It is a cafe inside Redhill Memorial Park, which is a 3 minute walk from Redhill train station. It was a beautiful autumnal sunny October afternoon which was great weather for the children to enjoy the adventure park situated next door to the cafe (which had swings, two slides, a nest swing, mini zip line and more) and just about warm enough for us to sit at one of the picnic-style benches outside the cafe to have lunch. The menu is varied and has a choice of sandwiches/baguettes, crepes, jacket potatoes and pizza, with a children's meal deal that includes half a ham or cheese sandwich, fresh fruit, pom bears and a drink for £3.95. I ordered the ham and this was a thick slice of carvery ham, not simply a thin slice of pre-packaged variety which I was impressed by. Had I known I would have asked for butter on one side of the sandwich only rather than both sides being heavily buttered.I had a ham salad sandwich which was made to order and was tasty and fresh. The flat white coffee was also very well made and not too milky. Inside the cafe there is a play corner for the children with toys and a mini park bench for them to sit at. It can get very noisy which I guess is only tolerable for those with children. All in all a good place for people with children who want decent food too.

The staff here make the restaurant a great place to stop and have a drink. They can not do enough for you and your custom is valued. Their polite and friendly manor welcome you instantly and you are made to feel at home. I came here with several children with disabilities and the staff were absolutely brilliant with each of them, giving them plenty of time to respond to questions and decide what they'd like to drink and eat, which I really value and respect as speaking to unfamiliar people can be a challenge for the children I came with. Location is great- accessible- plenty of parking. Drinks are reasonably priced with a good selection to choose from. Breakfast is great! The title says it all. This place was so welcoming, even though we had a dog with us (some places treat us like lepers, but not here). The staff were so pleasant and helpful, keeping our take-away food and drink chilled for the train journey home whilst we ate some delicious hot food. We left feeling well fed, and prepared for a 4 hour journey home.Jessie (the dog) was made very welcome too, with water and treats being offered more than once. All in all this treasure of a cafe was just what was needed in this cute park close to the train station. I would highly recommend it to anyone passing by in need of a break, and anyone with a dog will benefit from not only a great walking area but the chance to relax with a snack or drink in surrounding they often find themselves (needlessly) barred from.Recommended by John, Karen, AND JESSIE.

As soon as we walked in she was welcoming and explained she would be with us shortly. She was working flat out, I was indecisive on the pizza I wanted and she offered to do a half and half. She did a small version of the soup for a child and it was just the right temperature. She was all alone but was attentive to everyone that came in. I've been there before with the previous management and there have been about 4 members of staff being far less efficient than Nicola did on her own. It was very reasonably priced too. We were served by a hard working young man who was very cheery. Nothing was too much trouble and he brought my pot of green tea to an outside table which was a nice touch. There simply isn't enough eating establishments in Redhill so I was very pleased to find this wee place. Redhill's Memorial Park was completely refurbished last year and now has a new play area and cafe. Our first couple of visits to the cafe were marred by some very slow service but this has largely been rectified! The family stopped by for lunch last weekend - the children's meals are of a good size and the sandwiches are excellent - it is clear that everything is freshly made to order. The cafe itself is bright and airy and will get busy at lunchtimes - there is a lot of seating outside...Downside, well, the tables weren't regularly cleaned and the service, whilst improving, isn't quite there. Overall, however, a very good place to stop and eat with families.

I feel sad having to make this report, because the memorial park is now a very pleasant place, especially on a sunny day. This cafe should be the cream on the pudding, but it's not - yet, I hope. It took 20 minutes to rustle up a club sandwich and a breakfast, when there were only 2 other customers. The breakfast was, to be honest, dreadful. Rubberised eggs and bacon and sausages which bounced when dropped on the floor. I don't really think I could have prepared a worse breakfast myself with my eyes closed and blind drunk. The staff are pleasant but seem too distracted by other things, especially when regulars - either local authority workers or Pistachios' staff - turn up and everyone sits talking at a table, while someone - presumably - does the cooking. I have no idea how the cafe will cope with a sunny day and lots of customers. A radio stattion was also blaring out - certainly not enhancing the experience.I've tried the cafe now twice and had the same experience, so I'm afraid this one is off my lunch list.Such a shame.

A special thank you to Reece, who made the evening unforgettable for the kids. His dough-tossing tricks, patience, and cheerful attitude made the experience so much fun for everyone. If you’re considering booking a pizza party for £15 per child—don’t hesitate! Weekends get fully booked, but we had the entire lower floor to ourselves on a Monday, which was perfect.

90 minute wait, food cold undercooked and wrong order but the restaurant doesn’t pick up the phone, I think this is easily the worst take away ever

If the order tracker is to be believed my pizza was sat waiting in the restaurant for an uber eats driver for 20 minutes. By the time my food got here it was luke warm and it looked like it had been dropped on route.
