Lovely place, breakfast was delicious, staff polite and very welcoming on arrival. Also dog friendly which is an extra point from us. Great cafe !

A nice café all in all. They do GF and vegan options, but the GF cake I had wasn't great. Chai latte was very nice, though. It was busy so be prepared to wait.

Great food, great staff, dog friendly

Staff were quite rude and looked like they didn’t want to be there. Sat us down and immediately asked what we wanted for drinks and food before we had looked at the menu, then ignored us for 20 minutes. Food was below average, the chicken and avocado sandwich was tasteless and bland. We asked for drinks waited 20 minutes and they never came, they must have been making the Diet Coke from scratch. We then tried to leave the drinks and asked for the bill which took a further 20 minutes. All in all we spent 2 hours in there due to the doziness of the staff, really wouldn’t go back there, judging by the attitudes of the staff they clearly aren’t treated/ paid very well. Would avoid here.

Difficult to allocate stars as I did not end up staying so thought mid range most fair. I went because Google says it is open til 6pm but when I arrived at 3.40pm, I was told they close at 4pm. They were polite and helpful, suggesting other suitable places. I just wish the opening hours were accurately displayed online.

This place is really good but I do have to start with a negative. We ordered 2 coffees and 2 breakfasts. The coffees took 35 minutes to arrive. Turns out they had missed our coffee order at the pass but I noticed the staff are that busy test thus is going to happen. Seems to be a real focus on serving the takeaway orders at the window before tge actual customers inside. Anyway it was put down to human error do we accepted that. Food was fantastic and the staff really nice. Just accept there's going to be a wait as very busy but I'd say overall it's worth the wait.

Gorgeous cosy café for a winter's evening. Loved the bacon and brie sandwich. And thecstaff were all lovely, didn't rush us at all, though we took ages!

Had a lovely brunch here today!! Inside they had decorated it lovely for Christmas! We were greeting warmly by the staff who's service was excellent.

Really nice cafe on Lark Lane. We sat in the outside area which was quite nice and had a parasol above the table. The salt and pepper shakers are very cute. They have a few options for vegetarians/vegans but not sure about other dietary requirements. When we were served we were told it would be about a 40 minute wait for food which was fine. I had an espresso martini which was very nice and my husband had a bottled beer. I don't think we did wait 40 minutes for food, I think it was quicker than that. The pancakes are lovely, sweet and fluffy with a good amount of topping. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Toilets are up a small set of stairs and are quite small but very clean. We wanted to leave a tip but there was not an option to do this on the card reader so bring cash if you plan to leave a tip. Good value for money too.

Unfortunately disappointed, was looking for a place on lark lane for a good brunch that isn't Mina, but sausages looked and tasted poor quality. Spicy eggs were nice, but for the price would expect more than a single slice of what could be generic bread with avocado and eggs on top. Was then charged an extra pound for changing out the vegan sausages for non vegan, but only told at the end, not a problem but would have liked to have known at the start. The fact we ate only one of them should have maybe prompted a question. Table and chairs were full of previous diners sugar spillage also

Ordered two well done fried egg on toast with beans and two extra vegan sausages. When meal arrived sausages was frozen absolute disgrace! Eggs was no where near well done all runny and pot of beans was also cold!. Second time round they given me sausages that was cooked however the same eggs and beans /toast was brought back to me on a plate and staff pretended it was re done. 3rd time round I give them another chance in which the eggs was caked in greese and sliding off my plate will never go back again the chef wants firing!

We had coffee and breakfast this week after a walk around sefton park. Great friendly service, fab coffee and a good breakfast. Haven't been to Lark Lane for ages as we don't live as close, but it was good to be back. Would defintely recommend

My friend received his meal, but there was no sign of mine. After waiting 20 or so minutes for my breakfast, it never arrived. Apparently a mix up! I cancelled my order and asked for the bill for what we had received. I was told they could put my breakfast in a takeaway box.......I politely declined. Poor service.

Lovely place to stop for lunch. Cosy inside and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the steak Philly sandwiches which were delicious but it was a shame it didn’t come with a few chips or crisps on the side. Daughter had small breakfast which was delicious. Staff very friendly.

Lovely food and atmosphere although a bit noisy

I went to have a continental breakfast with family. I was told the pieces of cake are nice portions. Only to get a tiny sliver of a cake and it wasn’t very good at all. The waitress just smiled and said well that’s how management tells us to cut them. Looking around it seemed it would be best to get an English breakfast. Rather than, an overpriced cake for a little and nothing. Disappointed. Wish I took photos but just wanted to leave and never go back.

We waited one hour for food. Watched as other tables who arrived after us were served before us. At some point I asked if our food was coming and we were told it was the next plate and there had been a 20min wait on food we weren't told about (which would have been fine but it was now one hour). Our food still didn't come next. Eventually it came at separate times and the male server who took our order gave us our plates with no apology or acknowledgement of how long we'd waited. Very disappointing.

Really lovely little eatery. Full of atmosphere. The young girl serving us took a careful note of my dietary requirements as I needed some ingredients leaving out of my Greek Salad. It arrived and was so fresh and tasty

Friendly and caring staff, would highly recommend it, they are quite honest about the wait times as it’s usually full and busy especially on a day like Sunday with perfect weather! Nice atmosphere and vibes.. with great outdoor seating! We loved what we ordered and went down a treat! Bacon sausage on toast and a Philly cheese steak sandwich!

Pippins Corner is a lovely place, the food is tasty and a good variety for vegetarians included, good range of drinks available also, from soft drinks, to a range of teas/coffees etc . Plenty of tables, seating inside and some outside also. The only drawback which was a concern, on my last visit there was a big bulldog/mastiff type dog, that was off it's lead inside, children & families were dining inside. The people that had the dog were feeding it from their table edge, and also giving it food on the floor from their plates, so the dog started to roam a bit further. Dog friendly, which is great, I have a dog at home also, but for health & safety reasons this needs addressing. Family , friends and myself will still eat out at Pippin's Corner as we have done lots of times, but not if there's a dog inside off it's lead .

Came here for breakfast on our way to Seffton Park. We were advised it would be 45 mins for food. We chose to wait & glad we did. I had granola & toast, my husband had pancakes with bacon. We had 3 games of connect4 & the food arrived! Service was brilliant, the place was buzzin & the food was delicious. Great menu choices.

Myself and 3 others visited here last weekend. It was very busy but luckily we got a table. We were warned that it would be a 45 min wait for food because of how busy it was. The cafe had nice vibe and atmosphere. They have a large menu which caters for for most diets. For drinks I went with the ridiculously pimmped hot chocolate which was instagram worthy. It didn’t just look incredible, it tasted great! The cream was overflowing out of the cup! My wife and sister got the strawberry milkshake from the specials but unfortunately they had run out of fresh strawberries so just used strawberry syrup instead. They said the shake was nice enough. For food I got the leak and potato soup followed by Sriracha scrambled eggs on toast with chorizo and bacon. The soup was pretty good and the egg dish was also good but I’ve had a similar dish before, and it wasn’t quite on the same level. My sister got the soup as well, followed by the fish finger butty. She also liked the soup and the butty went down well. My wife also got the fish finger butter and she thought it was better than she anticipated. Although it could’ve done with a little more tartar sauce. We got salt and pepper homey’s from the specials to share. They are basically mini roast potatoes with a spicy coating. They were actually very nice. Probably the highlight. Despite the shop being so busy the service pretty good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Although there maybe needs to be better communication because we had a couple of staff ask if we had ordered yet. It was slightly disappointing having to wait 45 mins for food but thankfully we had good company. I would like to try the cooked breakfasts next time as they are meant to be great.

Cute cafe with lovely coffee, but awful full English. Hour wait for food (which the waitress warned when we entered) then arrived with no beans/tinned tomatoes so very dry, and toast didn't come with butter. Hard bacon and burnt scrambled eggs- definitely not worth the money

Previous visits, no problems at all! Went last weekend and not busy at the time......ordered drinks and wanted food but told we could only order the food after our drinks arrived......strange but we said OK! 15ish mins later, we were all very hungry and asked again could we order food and was told the same thing......we then said (very nicely) that that wasn't ok and wanted to order right away.......so our order was taken........we would normally have got up and gone elsewhere but it was very busy along Lark Lane..........disappointed visit not sure we will go back again.....

Great food, drinks and service! Do try it! Take away is never as good as eating in. Take away prep is very much an after thought. Two toasties, both burnt medium and quite a lot. I wasnt sure if they were even buttered. I was hungry so ate them. Daughter flat out refused. I didn't blame her. So yeah.. eat in.. dont take away..unless its coffee etc.

So disappointed!! We always go there and love it but today was a very very bad experience. We were sat at a table by a member of staff and our five person party sat at the table and another member of staff came over and told us that they had no room for our party to sit inside and that we were blocking the fire escape. Which we weren’t and actually a few people who weren’t with our party told the member of staff that we weren’t blocking the fire escape. We then were treated with dirty looks from the staff and a very unpleasant manager

Great place, the wife wanted to try it so we did. It is a nice relaxed atmosphere & great staff, the food was very nice but not a great deal for the price you pay.

Dined for breakfast this morning. Food and service was excellent given that they were significantly understaffed and extremely busy. Dan and Sarah (we hope they were your names) make a brilliant team. We will be visiting again and hope to try the Sunday roast :)

I have eaten at Pippins before and have always been happy however today was not the case. I ordered a takeaway sandwich (ham, cheese and coleslaw), waited 10 minutes then got home to find no coleslaw on the sandwich, the bread was not buttered which meant all the grated cheese had fallen out and one slice of ham. Really disappointing.

Quaint little cafe on the fantastic Lark Lane. The service was prompt and friendly . The omelette was oe of the best I have had in years. Piping hot with fresh ingredients it was great. On a Monday morning the place was not too busy but at weekends I can imagine it is very different. Highly recommended for brunch after a nice walk in the nearby Sefton Park

Went here on Wednesday around 10:30 am perfect timing as plenty of tables available! Only wanted a bite to eat and seen on the specials they done a Welsh rarebit and it was so delicious! Came with poached eggs and was only 7.50! Such lovely staff aswell everyone was so friendly it was such a nice place to go!

Had brunch here today… it turned into dinner. One member of staff in particular was very nervous and visibly shaking. Service was poor at best. We were glad to get our food before it turned dark. Was excited to visit Lark Lane for the first time but Pippin’s poor service and disappointing food hindered the experience. If you choose to dine there, sit inside or you will be forgotten by the staff and cooks.

I always wanted to visit this place as it always looked busy, so I did. We went for breakfast, and it was lovely🤩👍🏻. I had a veggie breakfast and a cappuccino with coconut milk. -Friendly staff -The food portion is ok -Hot drinks 👍🏻, except in my opinion; 0.60£ is too much to pay for alternative milk👎🏻

I've been going here for a number of years and never had a problem hence why I recommended to take work colleagues for breakfast. The large breakfast has reduced to what it normally was with the sausages over cooked and hard skinned and would appear they had been re heated from the day before as we were the first customers in the morning. Some colleagues had ordered a sandwhich to which the toast was cold and again the sausages were hard skinned. The mushrooms are out of a tin and the bacon was hard. There was no presentation what so ever and very disappointing. There appears to be some cutting of corners or chamge in chef of which is ruining what was a good reputation.

Portion size very small. £8.50 for avocado eggs on toast. One slice of toast a think layer of not even fresh avocado. In fairness a good portion of scrambled eggs but not worth the cost

Very nice and welcoming place. Staff is friendly and quick with the orders. I wanted to drink a chai latte with oat milk. The waiter asked me about my diet restrictions, in case I was vegan or lactose intolerant (as the chai powder had milk in it) which is very professional and thoughtful. Thank you!

I had a late , late breakfast today at Pippins . After a long weekend away it was just what I needed to bring me back to life . It was perfectly cooked , hot and satisfying.

Visited today for the first and last time. On arrival we waited 15 minutes for are order to be taken while other customers who came in after us was being served. Then waited around 30 minutes for are food to come my daughter ordered waffles with Nutella and cream, when it arrived we was told they had no Nutella so she never ate them. My breakfast arrived with black pudding after asking for no black pudding. I orders another tea as we waited so long the 1st 2 cups was finished, it never arrived but they wanted to charge me for it. The glass we was given was filthy as though it hadn’t been washed. The best part was the cup of tea. Wished we hadn’t wasted are morning and money.

Love the service here, so bubbly and friendly. Food is good, very fluffy cappuccino and quite a few cakes to choose from. I love the variety of hot drinks they serve too.

Friday mid-morning for a late breakfast. Busy, but not hectic and great service. I'm an omnivore but the vegan option looked tempting - and fulfilled its promise. Accompanied by a good Americano. Finally, the location - a road full of local independent cafes, coffee houses, bars & restaurants - what's not to like.
