Lovely pub with good service, great selection of beers. Nice tasty pub food and decent service

This is a lovely pub, it was very quiet when we were there but it was also the middle of the day in between Christmas and New Year so it might not always be that quiet. Service was great, food was yummy and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere was just lacking something but not in a bad way, just in a quiet way. The pub is huge as well and we were sat quite far away from the bar so that probably added to the quiet feeling.

The food was absolutely amazing, we came in a group and had bbq chicken, children’s cod, adults cod, and a burger, the entire thing was absolutely delicious.

Came here last Saturday with my daughters and was really impressed with the drinks selection. Lots of beers and spirits. We were served by Jaz who was very attentive will be back soon.

Came to the Pippin for a drink with a few friends and didn't want to leave the food was excellent, was a lovely place to be and the service impeccable. I think a young girl by the name of scarlet served us more often than not and she was delightful. Helpful and charming to a fault. 5 stars will be coming back soon

Really nice pub with parking, had one of the favourites neck oil and was served by Jasmine who was very kind and help, even when serving out food which was delicious she was respectful and well mannered.

Had lunch here today with family. The food was exquisite. The turkey dinner was wonderful. We are really glad they added it to their menu for Christmas time. Jaz and the team were so attentive. The pippin never disappoints!! We will be back soon.

Perfect festive menu, plenty of drinks choices and shufl to play as well. Staff were fantastic and extremely welcome; its what made our stay as perfect as it could have been. Thank you to Kai, Mollie and Bekah for looking after us so well and making our Tuesday lunch as perfect as possible.

Nice place to meet up with friends midweek. Quiet so you can chat easily. Busier come the weekend.

Food was very nice, cooked well and hot. The atmosphere was a bit odd as more or less empty but it was around 3pm on a week day. Will definitely eat here again. We have been before and it was dire but this time was good.

2 seperate visits. First.. Sunday 3pm ish. roast beef and nut roast. Good service appropriate wait time. Food was good as was portion size. Friendly staff... even ran after us to return an item we left behind. Very happy. 2nd. Friendly staff but long wait for food even though not busy when we arrived (Saturday 1pm ish) steaks sandwich... steak was wafer thin and not much of it.. very disappointing! Mac cheese.. was ok. Ordered brownie with hot chocolate...got the drink which was warm but quickly going cold so I drank it. Brownie arrived a considerable amount of time layer. Cherry Amaretto dessert... still very frozen in places. Was very cold.. many people were eating with coats on. Overall a disappointing visit which was a shame as I'd returned to give my daughter a special treat.

The bar staff at the pippin are what create the atmosphere in the pub. Big shout out to Scarlett, Jasmin, Bekah and Reece. Also the burnt end burger needs to be added to the menu

Always feel a warm welcome and the staff are very friendly and engaging with customers. All round pleasant establishment. Rebekah Benham served me with a very approachable and friendly manner, was engaged in meaningful conversation and did her job to a very high professional standard. This has been the case since I have started coming to the pippin. Had gravy and chips today and it was absolutely perfectly banging.

Lovely pub venue, with a good, inviting atmosphere, moderately lively with background music. We visited on a Friday evening and ordered drinks from a very good selection of beers, ciders on the pump and plentiful gin options. The food menu is small but the fish and chips and katsu burger that we ordered was tasty and the portions were reasonable. Nice place to visit.

Me and a friend went into the pippin on a Thursday afternoon, we both ordered the chicken katsu burgers with fries and onion rings, the food was amazing, really great flavour and plenty of it! Scarlett was our waitress and she was lovely and welcoming and helpful and really looked after us. Thankyou scarlett ! We will be returning again soon!

A great location for a drink,eat or both. It's very friendly and the staff are great. I'm especially picking out Beka and Scarlett who always have a smile and nothing is too much trouble. The pub has some great bar games along with fruit machines. There are occasional music events,quizzes and more. The pub is large and is split into various different areas including a conservatory. Outside there is plenty of seating including a heated area. There is a good sized car park and parking is free. There are some spaces near the entrance for people with mobility problems or those who use a wheelchair.

We had a beef sunday roast. Yorkshire pudding, potatoes and gravy were OK. Carrots a bit dry. Think they had been too long under a heat lamp which wilted the garnish too. Cabbage was boiled for too long. Cauliflower cheese tasted OK but mushy. Most impotantly, we hardly had any meat. I had 2 small end pieces. Most of which was fatty. My wife had 3 small end pieces and ended up giving me some of hers. Rims on drinks glasses dirty. The table was sticky when we arrived. Sorry but expected better food.

The food was appalling. We used to love coming to the pippin for food but we was highly disappointed. We was informed that the steak the get in is ‘pre cooked’ before the chef get it, and the chicken seemed like it was processed. One of our waitress’ was very good and understanding. If you are planning on coming here for food I would find somewhere else.

I have been put off of this place because I left feeling it was not of a very good hygiene standard and cleanliness was poor.The table we say at had a long blonde hair stuck to the side of it and had obviously not been wiped off properly with previous customers hair left on it.Also the bar counter was extremely sticky and seemed dirty but I was told there was an issue with the varnish along the bar counter area???This was also very off-putting for my meal here.This bar counter needs to be upgraded and replaced with an appropriate customer focused hygienic surface to welcome guests not mucky feeling when you stand up at the counter.Tell the staff to wash the tables more aswell.

Took my neices today for a meal/treat after school. The chap who served us named Rhys was AMAZING so good with the children making an effort to interact and make them laugh. He solely made the whole visit a 5 star awesome customer service. The food was amazing, so fresh and came out quickly. Toilets absolutely spotless the whole place was immaculate and for the time of day and a nice family vibe. Thank you for a great time and thank you Rhys we can't wait to come back.

Had the nachos, which use to be amazing. They did terrible nachos with cheese sauce. Not even melted cheese.

Great pub in Maidstone area. It's my fourth time there and everything was great as always.

Rebekah ran my daughter’s wake a year ago and made a superb job of it along with Reece and a few other staff that have moved on. She made the difficult day SO manageable. We had 140 people and the staff managed perfectly. Since then Rebekah and Reece are still superb every time I come in to the Pippin. Thier welcome is so appreciated. Bless them.
