Good family pub that is dog friendly. The service was good and Kim was very friendly and helpful. Guinness is well kept and have a good selection of wines and beers. A good selection of Zero drinks too

Came in on Sunday for a family meal and was not disappointed. The place was absolutely packed when we arrived, with large groups stood at the bar (just like pubs used to be!) and we instantly expected a long wait and sub-par service. The young lad behind the bar on his own asked us if we had a booked and informed us to wait at the end of the bar to be seated. We were then greeted by a young girl with glasses and promptly lead to our table. Service was absolutely amazing and couldn't be faulted, with three young ladies looking after us across the visit. Food was exceptional, and although we expected long waits because of how busy it was upon arrival the staff (and kitchen team) excelled under the extreme pressure. Will definitely be returning. Garden has a fantastic covered seating area with heaters for when it gets chilly in the evenings

The food was really bad today. We ordered 2 Sunday roasts, grilled gammon and hunter's chicken. When we got the food we noticed then pigs in blankets were undercooked and we asked the waiter whether he can ask the chef to cook them some more he said that all food comes in already cooked and all they do at the pub is warm it up in the microwave. Fair to say that everything tasted like microwave food if not worse. Meat was dry, Yorkshire pudding was chewy, gammon was stringy and chewy and hunter's chicken dry. That's just to name a few. We got two pounds refund for the pigs in blankets but that was it. Also ordered a chocolate fondant and it was cold and had a floury texture.

Came in for drinks on a busy Sunday evening after the sun had been shining all day. Fantastic beer offering, including cask ale, and one of the best pints of Guinness around. Staff had clearly been busy all day but we're still calm and collecting, with a warm welcome and big smiles from all. Definitely worth a visit, and I'll be returning more often to such a great location

We had a funeral wake at the Bull. They could not have been more helpful and the buffet was excellent. An over abundance of terrific food. A huge thanks.

I quite often eat at the pub and I have never had a bad word to say about it, Craig and his team do a wonderful job at the pub making you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door, the food is always on point, very quick to come out once your food has been put through. Overall a fantastic place to eat in and even a good drinking pub.

Visited the bull for the first time on Easter Sunday. Had a lovely Sunday roast. Was expecting service to b a tad slower as it would b a very busy day but I must say the service was great. The staff were friendly, helpful and made for an enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely visit again.

The app to order wasn't working properly for my friend or me. When we ordered at the bar, there were more items available than the online menu suggested. The service wasn't particularly warm. I ordered steak and it was alright but there were several fatty bits I couldn't chew through and I took a generous amount back for my dog because of that. As it happens, I forgot this pub is dog friendly so he could've come with me and there were several lovely dogs around to admire. The pub is in a nice place and it has fair deals, often making it reasonably priced.

Absolutely ridiculous, walked in and sat down waited an average time for the starters. My drink was flat and tasted like pure syrup, then we ordered the dreaded main. Not only did we wait 55 minutes for this food, we also asked how long it would be and got told “nowish” very professional! After anothet five minutes the food came. Not only was it cold. My burger was completely wrong and the cheese we payed 50p extra for did not even appear on my burger bun. I am absolutely livid with the awful experience and the very little time i spend with my dad has now been absolutely ablitarated by this awful and vile experience, for the price you pay and the time you wait, you could fly out to get a cow slaughtered and fly back home to make it all by scratch. Thank you for ruining my day 👍

Hey, Craig Deb's and the team are the best. The food is great, the service is amazing, the views are beautiful. It is by far the best pub in Maidstone for beer, food, family get togethers, hanging with friends. If you want to go for a pint, this is the place.

Was a lovely sunny day and a few of us came impromptu to the pub for lunch. Within 6 mins of ordering our food it arrived!! Some might say it definitely cannot have been cooked fresh. The roast potatoes, parsnips and stuffing were completely inedible. The food was dry, my 6 year old ate none of his roast which says it all when a young child won’t eat it! The only saving grace was my son’s hunters chicken which he said was delicious. The rest was well below par. The weather and the outdoor seating was nice though

Omg did table service, will not come again, drinks came quickly brilliant service, food on the other hand waited 45 minutes pub not busy at all. Ordered mix grill and pea , minted, courgette risotto . After waiting 45 minutes our food was mix grill with hard fried eggs, steak was wot steak it was invisible, sausages looked liked they were there a week and need anti wrinkle cream. My risotto was nothing hardy there and so dry covered with peppers and rocket to cover it up no peas or courgette. The only that was good was the garlic ciabatta. Either sack the chief as they cannot cook a fried egg or don’t do food. So bad .

Really tasty meal and friendly staff. We would return again! This was very easily accessible, lots of available tables and the pub was kept in a very nice condition, well looked after!

Just had an afternoon tea , for a retirement celebration, how disappointed it was , so will not be recommending to my friends , The waitress did her job serving , however the product were still in cellophane , straight out the fridge , sandwich fingers with basic cream cheese , or egg spread , rolls with bacon or 2 prawns , no green garnish insight , the scones were rock hard and dry , thank goodness we had our own teeth , the small single slice cake and small cup size carrot cake were cut in half , to create two portions , there were not pots of tea , just small cup of boiled water and a hotel breakfast sealed tea bag , and small machine coffee, so no filter coffee cafeteria, so nothing special , just easy catering hotel tick the box , job , so very disappointing ,

Great food would highly recommend. Not very busy when we went so pretty quiet music playing but more for background than entertainment. Service was good very polite and helpful would definitely go back again

Seems like a very cold place. Rude staff. Probably overworked or under bad management. Highly recommend to avoid this place when busy esp on Sundays.

After waiting over an hour for food, the food came cold and wrong/ missing many things which was advertised. Ordered the hunter chicken schnitzel off the specials menu which was meant to come with rosemary salted fries, fries came with neither rosemary or salt, ordered the chorizo tail on king prawns, which came with prawns that weren’t tail on or king prawns, ordered the mac and cheese off the kids menu which then didn’t come with the cucumber or corn on the cob which it was advertised too, the carrots that did come weren’t peeled and looked like they were cut with a butter knife, the portion size of the mac and cheese was abysmal, finally a roast dinner was ordered which majority of the components were cold. Didn’t complain in the restaurant because we were waiting so long for food that we were so hungry and couldn’t wait longer

My daughter and I paid a visit to the Bull for lunch recently and were met by a lovely young lady called Kim, she led us to our table which had a lovely view of the heath, she was so attentive to our needs and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our food came which was very tasty and just a nice size portion. I would like to praise Kim for the fantastic service and her welcoming nature, she is a credit to the Bull and would definitely go back again and also recommend it to my friends

We were warmly greeted. The food turned up promptly hot and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful The food was lovely. The visit was the most economical lunch we've had, main, pudding 🍮 and drinks x2 under £40 £ 38 ish i believe 😋

Money and time well spent, and the best Mixed Grill I have had in the last 10 years. Steak perfectly cooked and the service was exceptional from Debs and Kim. Thanks for having us.

We just had our mums birthday meal at the bull (10 of us), everyone loved the food perfect Sunday roast. Craig and he’s team went above and beyond for us. They brought out her birthday cake for us and gave us the best customer service throughout the period. Great atmosphere and very well looked after thought out the process. Another Family Christmas meal at the Bull , 23 of us and a 3 course festive meal. Food was served prompt , hot and delicious , staff were very friendly , fast and efficient. A great afternoon/evening had by all. We will be back next year for sure!! Thank you all and Merry Christmas

A very pleasant pub right o the green plenty of choice of beers, ample parking.

Nice family pub with a decent menus and decent prices. Nice secure garden at the rear with some kiddies slides and a bit of space. Out the front is bearstead green which is good for kids too - they can have a football kick around whilst adults can enjoy a drink just watching.

My friends and I had a delicious meal at The Bull and the evening was made even more enjoyable by the cheerful and attentive service from Jade and Charlee.

My family and I were staying nearby and wanted a family friendly pub that we could bring the dog along. We were very pleasantly surprised that not only this place fit the bill it is reasonably priced and the food was lovely. Kim and Debs were very friendly and gave us great service.

Excellent service especially given how busy it was for a Thursday lunchtime. Side salad was disappointing but gammon and my husband's Chicken Ciabatta were good. Thank you to Jade and Elle for looking after us. Very attentive and efficient.

5 of us Came here for a meal the staff did not know how to smile apart from the one in the beige top (Charlie) she was smiley and happy the food was average food but the pudding was lovely

We popped in for a meal with some old friends to catch up. And we're served by the lovely Elle! We were a very awkward group (sorry Elle) swapping sauces etc, but Elle got everything perfect for us! We were confusing things but she got it right every time and with a smile on her face ☺️. Looking forward to coming back.

Visit 24/8/2024 We were a party of 4 with a booked table, which wasn't ready, despite being on time, so we had ordered drinks at the bar and sat outside. When we went to our table, we had a delay for someone to take our food order, so we left our drinks on the table to go outside for a vape, gone all of 10 minutes, only to find our drinks were gone and another party placed at our table! Finally, 15 minutes later, we were given our replacement drinks (which were all full).. and fair enough, the staff apologised. It was a very odd mistake to make, in my opinion. A member of our table went to use the toilet, only for a fight to break out with other patrons - and for police attendance - which I don't blame the pub for. However, by now, we were an hour into awaiting our food order, chased several times, only to be told due to a fight that had gone on.. more time went past (1 hour and 35 minutes) our food finally arrived.. all 4 of us could barely eat it due to porous cooking quality - that I wouldn't feed to my dog. We eventually gave up trying to order from the restaurant as others were seated after us/served before.. it felt more like our table was a burden to the staff. Yet, we had been polite and respectful over issues with the service - or lack of. This was a birthday meal for myself, and being a regular, I wouldn't recommend the bull inn anymore. This isn't the first issue I've had with the food/restaurant side. The last few visits, food has been below their normal standards and what seems to be a lack of care from the staff. Even trying to pay our bill, our "replacement" drinks were charged! Which by now, enough is enough. Just waiting on the bill. It took 40 minutes. It is with regret to leave this review as previously always rated this place, but now, I'd rather go elsewhere. It is such an ashame as being local/on the door step, I generally would have over looked minor issues, but this visit was beyond a joke.

Been here before and was very good,kid friendly and dog friendly.

Having visited the pub on a sunny lunchtime we decided to sit in the garden, which I have to say was a little better than when we visited a few years ago. However it could do with a thorough clean and tidy up and get rid of the awful plastic flowers!- -food ok ish -staff not rude but tired and disinterested and lacking in basic hygiene skills … the member of staff that served us cake tried to serve it with barehands!!! This pub has so much potential but needs much, much better professional management.

Visited as it was local to the care home I had been to to see a relative. Food was served faster than we had been advised... they were busy. Garden was lovely to sit it... tables not to crowded together.

We had a few drinks then a sit down meal which was fantastic and no small portions, the beef and ale award winning pie was very filling and superb. And the service was excellent many thanks

Paid a visit today and I must say it did not disappoint. When we entered the premises it was extremely clean, staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. What a fabulous pub to go to and will definately be returning , great for families too as grab a drink and sit out the front and the kids can play on the field situated just a step away :-)

Went today and sat in the beer garden which was absolutely lovely. When my friends received their food I was told mine would take longer but it ended up taking excessively long. I was blown off by staff saying how it would take longer but I had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to admit that they gave my food to the wrong table. I was disappointed as I loved the atmosphere.

Going in to the pub to ask for some water when it’s 30’c not having any money and states “That’s an unfortunate in your behalf not my problem” NEVER AGAIN ILL BE COMING BACK
