Great jacket meal deal, pulled pork was lovely. Lady who serviced us was jolly, friendly and helpful. She really made us smile and is the reason I went to the effort of popping on a review, great service deserves recognition

Visited trago mills and decided to stop for a drink and a snack. Did not have a main meal but saw what staff were delivering to tables and the food looked lovely and large portions. Clean and friendly staff.

I really fancied a full English brekkie and a bit of a spend up so went to Trago mills. As always we stopped off at pinochio cafe. I have been many times and have never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly but incredibly busy as it is a sit down cafe and a takeaway, with all staff trying to run both. We were asked to sign a track and trace book due to covid, and then use the provided hand sanitizer before entering the premises. We were sat right away with no waiting. There were no menus on the tables for obvious reasons and you had to order at the counter as they dont do waiter service. I ordered 2 all day breakfasts and 2 mugs of tea. Due to the 50% off scheme I only paid just over £7 which was a real bargain. The food was excellent, as usual, especially the sausages. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the plates the food is served on. They were huge and could only just fit on the table when someone is sat opposite. For simple aesthetics, a smaller plate would have not only been easier to eat from, but would have made the portions appear bigger as they wouldn't be spaced out. Dont get me wrong, it was a good sized meal, but looked lost on such large plates!Oh, and the tea was perfect. Just the right colour and strength. The perfect accompaniment for the breakfast.Would I go again? Absolutely as I have always been a fan and after today's trip, I always will be.

The food was not of a very high standard and a number of daily specials had run out. The lady small in stature but big in ego has a very sarcastic attitude on her. Had the tea changed because it was only warm. Not a great experience.

The coffee was perfect and worth the price, the food on the other hand, my daughter had the chicken nugget kids meal, which cost around £3.75 and came with a decent amount of chips, but only 3 tiny chicken nuggets, I am talking the size of KFC popcorn chicken. My partner ordered the prawn marie rose baguette (which was supposed to come with salad and crisps) and she also asked for a bowl of chips on the side, all she got was the baguette and the chips, no salad and no crisps. She complained that the prawns tasted strange, now I must say I am not a lover of cold prawns, I prefer them hot but I went out of my way to test them as I used to be a prep chef, I spent hours a day making up prawn marie rose as it was popular in our restaraunt, I was shocked to find that the prawns tasted like dirt, literal dirt, no flavour from the sauce and I could not taste prawn at all. Needless to say she only ate about a quarter of the footlong baguette. We were also charged £2.55 for the side of chips even though the rest of the sides were not given. My Cornish pasty special was fine but expensive. The whole disappointing meal cost me about £24 including drinks. The only redeeming factor was the young lady that served me on the counter who was very polite and did not stop smiling unlike the staff in the Trago Mills store who seemed lifeless. I did not catch her name but she was quite young and had a blonde ponytail, she deserves some good recognition for her natural customer service skills. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat then grabbing a pasty and a coffee here is great but if you are looking to eat in somewhere, I would recommend looking at the other restaurants.

This is a no frills café that offers value for money with a good selection of food. It used to be much larger many years ago but the ethos is still the same.

Nothing brilliant . Had family visit on holiday with x2 children. Pastie was just edible . Nothing special overall. More seagulls flying about and Peacock scavenging as we ate . On the positive the food was good and hot and didn’t have to pay for condiments

Definitely the very worst coffee I’ve ever tasted. The consistency of inferior dish water. It was made with Kenco decaf and they must have counted out the granules. I asked for more coffee - this made it barely palatable. The menu offers decaf options for latte and other specialist coffees but the staff would not/could not make them. The tea served was from a coffee pot stewing (not brewing for it was past that) on a hot plate. Very poor service. The meals were adequate but not exciting. This cafe is not recommended.

We popped into Pinocchios for a bite to eat on a day out. We all ordered a different food, jacket potato with cheese and pulled pork, scampi and chips, cheesy chips, special sausage meal and 2 children’s meals. We were all served in good time and the meals were lovely. I had the jacket potato and I was pleasantly surprised how much cheese and pulled pork there were in separate little pots. We all left satisfied and would definitely return.

We always come in here for a break when visiting Trago Mills. The inside is small but there are tables outside and here you are visited by the peacocks who are really tame. Food is hot and fresh and staff really pleasant. Good service.

Just stopped for a snack and a drink. They forgot half of my order on a very quiet day. The disgusting curry sauce went in the bin as did the undrinkable cup of coffee. I’m not a coffee snob at all, it was bad! Also, the out side table we sat at was covered in bird poo, flaking paint, and a cloud of cigarette smoke. The pasty and the chips were ok tho. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cheap and cheerful, but I draw the line at when it’s so bad it’s gotta go in the bin.

We frequently drop into this cracking eatery when we visit Trago Mills as the food is always freshly prepared, generously portioned and reasonably priced. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful and not over-attentive as some smaller establishments tend to be.I heartily recommend this place if you want great food, great prices and to walk away satisfied.

Really Helpful barista, Erin, I think. I had a complicated and large order, and she awesomely smashed it! Shells has great handwriting!

Lovely food, classic pub grub but done well and reasonably priced. Liver was excellently cooked, slightly pink and soft and packed full of flavour. Service was good, we were checked back on, meals came promptly and cleared when finished. Nice cold wine and kids meals substantial for the price! Only marked down one star as bar is always busy (not a bad thing), but just makes it sometimes awkward leaning over drinkers to order food. However, always highly recommended for both food and drinks.

Bovey Castle is certainly a beautiful and interesting location. However, with all their grounds parking spaces are a premium. Eventually, we were offered a space in a coned off area. A very well appointed building as your would expect for a Five Star Hotel. We began with an aperitif 'Gusbourne English Sparkling' which was superb. A absolutely delightful bar. Smith's Brasserie! Well, let's begin with the positives. Excellent welcome and staff were fantastic throughout our Birthday lunch. Extremely unimaginative menu to say the least. A nice enough starter. Perhaps would have expected freshly made mayonnaise, not from a bottle, in such an establishment. Pleasant enough bottle of rose, although there was a choice of ONE. My wife (Birthday Girl) and I opted for pasta dishes. Absolutely clueless when it comes to pasta dishes. Packet spaghetti with prawns (four small ones) and a Provencal sauce? Very little of it too. It is an Italian dish and the sauce requires mixing in the pasta. Tagliatelle, again from a packet, with some type of utterly non-descript cream sauce at the bottom of the dish. Totally unseasoned dishes. The cooking water needs to taste of the sea. Therefore, seasoned. No offer of cheese or pepper or pangrattato, nothing, and certainly no theatre. Huge improvements required I'm afraid to make an enjoyable dining experience. Dress Code: Expectations, as you would imagine were high. Staff were smart, but could have been better attired for such a hotel. Clientele: Lots of jeans and un-ironed tee shirts wondering around and dining. A pair of football shorts and dirty trainers at one table, others with feet on the chairs in the bar and the final straw was a couple arriving in towelling dressing gowns and flip flops. NO! Sorry. There's a time and a place and this is not acceptable. Unfortunately, this was a lunch to judge if a weekend stay would be appropriate for our anniversary and it simply is not good enough.

We came for Sunday carvery when we visited Dawlish. The food was good, although the beef was a bit chewy. The Yorkshire puddings were huge. Service was quick and friendly and the Covid-19 set up was good. We would return if we came back to the area.
